Script for Britney and Jamie Spears

Britney Spears is one of my favorite stars, because I think she is very pretty. She also has a sister Jamie, who is of age 12. I have always wanted to see Britney on Sesame Street, and I can think of a sketch for the 2 of them that would be perfect. And here's how it goes:

(we see Jamie Spears sitting on the steps of 123 Sesame Street looking all sad)

Jamie: Uhh, 1, 4, 2, 3, 6, 5... Ohh, I have no idea. (cries)

(Britney enters)

Britney: Hi! Oh, look! There's my sister, Jamie. And she looks awfully upset. (to Jamie Hi, Jamie. What's the matter?

Jamie: Oh, I can't figure out my numbers, and like I can't tell the difference between 1 and 4, or 3 and 2, I just don't know. (sniff)

Britney: There, there, Jamie. (gives her a backrub) It's okay, you don't have to cry! I know of a way that you can learn your numbers so you'll never forget!

(music starts playing, Britney sings)

Britney: If it says 1, you go beep
If it says 2, you go beep beep
If it says 3, then you go beep beep beep
And that's the way it's done.

(music changes to a minor key, Jamie looks at Britney all confused and says What?????

Britney: You know, I used to get confused about my numbers
Like which was 1 or 3 or 4 or 2
But now I find my numbers very easy
And this is what I do
(back to major key)
If it says "1", I go "beep"
If it says "2", I go "beep beep"
If it says "3", then I go "beep beep bepp"
It's as simple as can be.

Jamie: (speaks) Yeah, but now what if it says 4?
Britney: Then I go "beep beep beep beep", nothing more.
Jamie: Well then what if it says 26?
Britney: Then I go... "beedeebeebebeebedebeebeedeebeedebee," you know what I mean?
Jamie: Hey! I think I get it! Listen!
Britney: (speaks) Let me hear.
Jamie: (sings) If it says 1
I go beep
Britney: Yeah!
Jamie: If it says 2
I go beep beep
Britney: Mhm!
Jamie: If it says 3
Then I go beep beep beep
And that's the way it's done!

But now what if it says 4?
Britney: Then you go "beep beep beep beep", nothing more.
Jamie: Well, what if it says 2,478,693?
Britney: Then I go.... "beedeebeebeebeedebedebedebedeebeedeebeedebeedeebe edebedeebeedebedebedebeebeebee"
(key change)
Jamie: If it says 1
I go beep
Britney: If it says 2
You go beep beep
Jamie: Yeah! If it says 3
Then I go beep beep beep
Both: And that's the way it's done!

Bebebeebeebedeebeebeebeedebeebeebeebeebedee
Oh, bebebeedeebedeebeebeebeebedeebeebeebeebedee
Yeah, bebeebeedeebedeebeedeebeebebeebeebeebeebede
Beebeedee dee dee dee
Bee be dee!

Jamie: Thank you, you're a wonderful big sister.
Britney: Oh, thank you, that means so much to me!
(They both hug each other)
Hey, Jamie, you wanna go for ice cream?
Jamie: Yeah! I want strawberry!
Britney: Me too!
(they walk offstage)

So, what does everyone think about this for the 2 of them?

I like it but it needs some SS characters helping too. U know what I mean? Where Big B. and Oscar and Bert and Ernie could help out or u could have most of the gang. Like Grover, Cookie, Harry, Oscar, Big B., Two Headed Monster and Erinie and Bert. That is if u want to but I did like Loved it. Could u look at my thread called "Muppets visit Sesame Street." I wanted to know what people would say but never got mine looked at its what an Episode would be w/ the muppets. Its called "Muppets visit Sesame Street." U wouldn't mind looking at it and telling me what u thank.

About the Muppets visit Sesame Street thread, I actually do like it, and I think they could do it, since some SS characters were on the muppets at one point in time.

But anyway, about the script I just wrote...If you look at the celebrity appearances back in the 70s and even 80s, they didn't necessarily have SS characters helping out, they mostly did their own thing. Plus, do those lyrics sound familiar? It was an old song from the 70s sung by 2 anything people (Northern Calloway and Jerry Nelson). I've never seen it on the show, but it's on The Count Counts LP. But R2D2 and C3PO did do a remake of it with Big Bird, and it was great.

Well thanks for the complement. I don't recall that song. But I still liked it and I guess ur right about the stars singing by themself. I wouldn't mind seeing that on an new episode. U should send that to them. It might make it.

ssetta, that's a pretty nice little script you wrote here. We agree that the SS Muppet characters don't necessarily need to be in full tour de force in the background during htis musical number, but maybe just someone slightly recognizable in the background like maybe a Honker would do. Oh, and you say that the song's from the Count Counts album? On which of the two records and between which two other songs? Just asking cause I've got that LP and I want to research the song.
Thanks for your help and have a good day.

It's only one record, it's on Side 2, and it's Track #5. It appears on the album in between "1-2-3-4-5!" and "Four Big Lions."

Ah yes, sorry about that little mistake ssetta. You see, the name of the album in my possession is actually called The Count Counts Numbers! or the Count Presents Numbers! (Forgot which of the two it is.) The point is that this album came with the record for both the Count's Countdown and the Count Counts packaged inside, along with a sort of fold-out poster inside the album cover of scenes of items being counted in direct correspondence with their numbers up to ten. For example, there's a square of a number 1 and one item, and so on and so on. My Muppet Alphabet Album is also stored in that album cover, keeping them al together safely. Hope this helps and have a good day.

But do you think this would be the right song for the Spears girls?

Can't give you an answer on that one yet. Still would have to hear the song again. But you seemed to know your material for this nice little proposal. I'll post again when I've heard the song and can comment one way or the other.
