XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

Today's V/A focus is that actor, Rene Auberjonois. Rene had appeared in a lot of TV shows and movies. I remember him as Clayton Endicott III from Benson and as the shape shifting Odo from Star Trek, Deep Space Nine. Rene has done voicework for lots of movies, cartoons, and video games. I think his funniest role was Chef Louie from Disney's The Little Mermaid. I can't stop laughing when I think of that silly song Chef Louie sang while he was cooking, especially this line. "Now I stuff you with bread. It don't hurt 'cause you're dead. And you're certainly lucky you are."

He was Dr. Strangesnork? I didn't know that! I mostly remember Rene for playing Dago Red in the original "M*A*S*H" movie. What's the deal with "SEBASTIAN"? Was that a spin-off of the TLM series?

That's what I heard from cartoons books and sites about the Snorks.

Sebastian the Crab had his own series of 6 or 7 minute shorts on the Marsupilami show. Sebastian would work at places like the beach, restaurants, and theater shows. However, Chef Louie usually seemed to track him down wanting to cook the poor crab. But luckily, Sebastian always gets away.

Great actor, well known for his work in Robert Altman movies (including the aforementioned MASH). He also appeared in the 1976 version of King Kong, alongside future Great Muppet Caper star Charles Grodin.

Rene is an amazing actor, I loved him as Odo on Star Trek and in many other projects. Funnily enough though, the very first thing I ever saw him in was an early '90s kiddie TV movie which was a take off on "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court." The actress who played Rudy on the Cosby Show ends up going back in time to King Arthur and Camelot and Rene played Merlin, lol. He was really funny and clever in it, it was great, but he'd probably want to be remembered for other things, hehe.

You know? I've heard about this movie and I've always wanted to see it!
