Question Doc vs. The Captain ...

How would you guys compare Doc with The Captain?
This is just my opinion, but I think The Captain doesn't have as much spark and charisma as Doc. The biggest difference I observe is that The Captain treats his dog like a son/pet, while Doc treats his dog like a friend/companion.

I do like both versions of the show, however. The UK version of the show has a cooler, more powerful opening shot before we dive into the hole.

If, like me, any one of you has seen (or has copies of) complete Fraggle Rock episodes from any other country besides the USA, and/or can compare multiple versions of a certain episode, or wants to speak out against me (if such need be), by all means speak up.

Peace out,
G Man

PS. I gotta know this: did Fulton MacKay live through the production of the 96th episode? And which episodes DIDN'T they show in other non-USA countries?

Fulton McKay died after the second or third season was made (at least that's what Warrick told me)

Guys,

Jeff,
No i said that he had died after the First Season was produced.

I like The Captain, But he doesnt have the spark that Doc has.
And the Lighthouse is really dull and quiet boring.

Doc is always funny or doing somethin fun, And him and Sprocket are like a double act.

Boober Gorg -

I have some UK episodes full with The Caprtain.
Let me know if you want to trade !

See ya

Exclamation this should inform the confused

It's easy to distinguish both the two seasons by their openings.
In the first season intro, the lighthouse is the first thing we see, and we slowly zoom in, to an enchanting synthesizer chord. Once inside, the camera passes The Captain sitting at the kitchen table with Sprocket.
with Jim Henson's Muppets
In the second season intro, the ocean is the first thing we see, then we pan to the lighthouse and zoom in. Once inside, the camera passes The Captain giving Sprocket his bowl of dog food (awwww!).
with Jim Henson's Muppets

Plus, in the UK series, it seems that Fraggle Rock is located among the British Isles. The lighthouse is called the Fraggle Rock lighthouse. Ain't that somethin'?

Peace out,
G Man

PS. Hey Warrick, guess who just emailed you!

Boober Gorg,

Yup, I like the way The Captain picks up the phone and says 'Fraggle Rock Lighthouse...'

Exclamation WOW! What a shocker that was!

I'm still reeling from the shock of watching the PAL video I just got in the mail:

FRAGGLE ROCK VOLUME 11
Wembley And The Great Race
Doozer Is As Doozer Does

It was shocking because, in the second episode, the Captain was asked to vacate the lighthouse, and was getting ready to leave with Sprocket throughout the episode. This was a shock to me because it almost seemed as if Fulton MacKay knew he was going to die before the making of the third season (but not while filming of course)! Creepy, huh?

VOLUME 12 is on its way to my house!
