Peter Cullen

XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

This week's V/A focus is Peter Cullen. A talented voiceman during the 80's. He has voiced many cartoons characters from both comedies and action series. His most famous voices were Eeyore for some of the Winnie the Pooh series, specials, and movies. And he was the voice of the original Optimus Prime from the Transformers. There had been other Transformers series and other people have voiced Optimus, but I feel Peter will always be the true Optimus Prime.

Pirates of Dark Waters, a great series, always been bummed they stopped it after the 8th treasure (a living rodent) was found before finishing it properly.

Also, me thinks it's spelled "M-O-N-C-H-I-C-H-I-S", you're missing the first "I".
BTW: Did my own V/A, don't think I got many replies though. Not sure if I'll do anymore though... At least, not in the usual format, if I decide to do any more.

I've heard of Sean Cullen and I know his voicework, but I don't know if he and Peter are related though.

FYI - Sean Cullen and Kathy Greenwood provide the voices for the hosts of "Maple Shorts!" in Canada.

I've never seen Maple Shorts, but I do know that Sean has voiced Four, Five, and Seven in Seven Little Monsters and does some characters in George and Martha.

Also, Sean makes regular appearances on Jay Leno.
