More Disney synergy at work... I just ran across this on movies.com:

Statler & Waldorf's From the Balcony: http://movies.go.com/moviesdynamic/muppets/index

The video is available in various formats and sizes, and features movie reviews from Statler & Waldorf, plus info about new DVD releases from Pepe.

(Hope everyone doesn't know about this already, but I didn't see it in the recent threads, so -- enjoy.

who is doing the voices?

Hey, I enjoyed this new segment they are doing for movies.com, but I was wondering if anyone knew who was performing statler and waldorf. My guess is waldorf is eric jacobsen and statler is bill barretta, but I still couldn't tell. Even Pepe didn't sound like Bill Barretta.
Glad they aiming towards a more adult audience.

Oooh, I like this. Seeing stuff like this gives me a glimmer of hope.
Let's see, in this clip we have; we got stark sexual inuendo, swearing,
messed up humor, oh yeah!

See, this is how I like seeing the muppets in the modern era...good to see they can escape the oppressive sterility of Disney now and then. If this is a weekly thing, this will be a good thing.

Disney's synergy can be a good thing. Now the Disney owned Muppets have a gig on the Disney owned Movies.com - brilliant!

It is cool to see the Muppet back with a weekly gig. Let's hope they keep up the quality and great work for some time. I was impressed by the clip. Although I don't think it is Dave, Steve, and Bill doing the voices, whoever it was not bad at all (the voices were a bit off but I doubt they would have 3 of the top Muppeteers working on a free weekly feature for a website.) But atleast the Muppet name and characters are getting out there.

I was surprised by how much more "mature" the comedy seemed (I mean Paris Hilton and viagra jokes, saying "H-E-double-L", and Pepé's need for a cold shower), but I actually liked to see that Disney was not babying down the characters and making them "just for children".

Over all I think it is a great move for the Muppet and a great new thing for us Muppet fans to enjoy. I have to hand it to Disney for this one (I'm still laughing at some of the comments Statler and Waldorf made). On a scale from one to ten, I give this an "A". Can't wait to check it out next week!

I liked the Statler and Waldorf bit too. That was halarious. It was also great to see these guys actually use more mature words than just trying to use more appropriate language for children.

And yes, the voices were a bit off but it can be overlooked by the 'older" humor Statler, Waldorf, and Pepe use.

Yes it does not sound like Dave Golez (Waldorf), Steve Whitmire (Statler), and Bill Barretta (Pepé). They are currently the three main Muppeteers and probally have more important things to do than a weekly free feature for a website. But whoever is doing the characters does a pretty good just, the change is not that distracting or ackward. I do wonder who is behind the characters in the segments, probally just some of the other Muppeteers.

Also as another note you may notice the "Muppet Studios" logo at the end of the segment - this is probally the mark that will be used at the end to brand other Muppet productions from now on (since it will no longer be the Jim Henson Company, and the Walt Disney Pictures probally won't be used either for productions from The Muppet Holding Co.)

It doesn't work for me. I hate theses things. Everyone else gets to see it but me. I hate my computer when it doesn't have what it takes to watch stuff like this. Can someone download it to windows and send it to me. I would love to see it.

I agreethat this is all fun , but i really didn't like the new pepe, his personality didn't seem right. But Statler and Waldorf were funny. Waldorf sounded pretty close to normal and i didn't mind the change in statler. I wish it could have been the real voices but i''m happy to see these great characters geting utilized

Statler and Waldorf have no signature performers, and are always changing...so I have no problem with that. But...that wasn't Bill Baretta? Seemed like the Pepe we've known for 9 years to me.

Now pepe is 100% signature to bill Baretta...if Disney somehow got someone to do this amazing incarnation of Baretta's Pepe...hmmm. The real test is live, or during a late night talk show. Only Baretta could pull off Pepe's little quirks and all. Best line "sounds like two hot womens, I am liking this o'kai. The movie is about...two guys...shackled together...in a dirty...bathroom...Unbelievable!"

Anyways, I didn't notice this is part of the go network, Disney's site. Still, it shows that Disney doesnt need to pull punches with all of Muppet's work.

I'm not digging that Muppet Studios or The Muppets logo. I would be willing to make a kick butt logo for them to harken back to the nifty ones we saw a couple years ago, for free! Doesnt anyone have photoshop skills there?
