These are a few of my favorite things...

"Rain drops on roses, and whiskers on kittens..."

What's your favorite food? What's your favorite drink? What's your favorite fast food restraunt?

These are the titles of many threads springing up in and around the General Discusion part of the forum recently. Obviously we all have our favorite likes and dislikes (including the favorite things to ask what are peoples favorites of.)

The problem is, the amount of "Favortie things" threads are slightly cluttering this part of the forum, so I propose the starting of this thread.

"These are a few of my favorite things..."

The idea of the thread is to incorperate all the other threads together. I propose that someone decides on a "favorite" topic (Favorite fast food, favorite video game, etc) and then everyone who wants to join that conversation (or would post in a thread on that topic) can post here.

Then, when that "Favorite thing" topic exhasts itself, a new one can be established in the same thread.

That way a lot of clutter can be removed, and people can find new subjects to talk about without creating new threads.

So, the rules are:

Anyone can post a new topic at any time, but try to leave enough time for all those who wish to participate in the topic to do so first.

Anyone can talk about any aspect of the subject.

Post new topics in BOLD

You do not have to sing songs from Sound of Music if you do not wish.

So, the first topic:

What is your favorite Band/CD/group/type of music?

Personally, I do not have a favorite, I just like any music that (at the time) sounds nice. Of course, anything Muppet is perfect for my tastes.

What do you think? What are your favorites?

I always answer this question with the Electric Mayhem. Once a guy responded by saying his mom didn't let him listen to them! I also like Nena and die Prinzen. I listen to a lot of Broadway songs as well, and I like classical, especially Schubert.

The Offspring's Smash is an absolute classic. They truly established their sound with that album and all their CD's have been molded with that same rocking formula. I still love their self-titled CD and Ignition, but there is really something special about Smash.

I do love The Electric Mayhem (I'm so glad my mom finally let me listen to them, ). Overall, they're probably my all-round favorite thing about the Muppets.

Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" is my favorite in classical music. It joins The Righteous Brother's "Unchained Melody", as the only song that ever made me cry. UM, soon after my grandma died, and RotV, because I just find it powerful and moving.

Except for Muppet Babies. Put me down for Muppet Babies.

I should have listed Pinky and the Brain. Those are two funny meeces. And you pointed out the same thing I did about Simpsons characters. There are just too many so you may as well include them all.
