The Muppet Magic DVD from Muppets on the Ed Sullivan show has lots of good old Sesame stuff. Like early Grover and Cookie puppets, and a skit by Big Bird.

I've got the 25th anniversary DVD too. The A&E Biography on SS is one I highly recommend, because it is targeted primarily at nostalgic adults like ourselves! :zany: You can order it through A&E's Web site.

Well, OK, if you want to stretch things a bit, I'd also recommend:

- Big Bird in China
- Big Bird in Japan
- Follow That Bird
- Put Down the Duckie
- Elmopalooza
- Christmas Eve on Sesame Street

And on video:
- The Best of Kermit on Sesame Street (DVD release TBA)

I think "Monster Hits" is on DVD. That's among my favorites. Lot of classic old Muppety stuff.

I know, but I just wish they would release old shows. I wonder why they don't. Do you know?

 STOP. IT.

By far the BEST SS video that would appeal to the older fans is "Getting Ready To Read". Here's what's featured on it (as I recall):

Grover and the word WALK
E&B: Rhyming Game
toon: This is the cat that sat on my hat, etc.
Cookie Monster's "no-cookies" poem (supervised by Kermit)
Song: Fat Cat Sat
Word Family Song: the OP family (boy and girl AM)
toon: HEN/PEN/TEN/MEN
Cookie Monster: FOOD
Song: That's What Reading's All About (Same Sound Brown and Farley)

Great selection, no?
