Enter the Labyrinth (Role Play 10th July 2003)

Welcome to the role play, here is a quick sumery of the rules:

1. Keep in character.

2. Keep ONE character.

3. Stay with the game if you start in it.

4. Stay on topic.

5. Please don't argue with the GAME MASTER.

One more thing, Aron, I am going to give you the Everlasting Carpet Bag. This bag is very usefull as it can be as full as anything and no one can see that iti is actually not still empty. On your way through the labyrinth, you will find cvarious things, (Food, and usefull items) pick them up and put them in the bag. At some point later the game master will mention that everyione is starving. If there is no food in the bag one member of the team with starve and have to miss TEN posts. Otherwise you could have just eaten the food in the bag.

I will talk as the game master in RED and as Beau in normal.

The Muppets had all gathered one eirly evening in Kermit's house to celebrate their most recent film, when suddenly there was a noise like thousands of bees dancing to a waltz round their heads. The lights all wentout and they felt a strange sensation in the back of their heads, they all shut their eyes and when they opened them again they found themselves in the middle of the labyerinth. A loud booming voice shouted:

You have 24 hours to escape from the labyerinth, or all your muppety goodness will me mine. Ha, ha, ha.

The room they were standing in looked like this:

Labyrinth Room 1

The room is dark and dingy. It is very large and it is round. As you walk around the room you can feel what seems like thin threads of silk touch against your skin, er, fur. The room had 5 exits. The floor is made of wood. The ceiling is made of wood. The walls are made of rock.

Exit 1:

Large door as high as Sweetums and as wide as Timmy Monster. It has a round door handle.

Exit 2:

Small door size of Tutter. Can be pushed open.

Exit 3:

Golden gate. Through the gate you can see a long bridge spanning to the horizon.

Exit 4:

Trap door. In the center of the room. It sounds hollow and can be lifted.

The objects in the room are a small table, a chair, and a pineapple.

Oh no, hey, hey, where are we? Can someone switch on the light? What happening? Kermit, Animal, anyone, are you here?

[Fozzie Bear]

Woooaaahhhh!! What a trip! Beau? Beau, is that you? I'm here...somewhere. Where am I? Where are you, Beau? I suppose you're where I am, but where am I and who was the guy who said we had 24 hours to get out of his Labyr...oh. OH! Oh, no! We're in a Labyrinth! And since we're Muppets, and he claims he'll take all our Muppety Goodness from us, does that mean he'll OWN US TOO?

Who is this guy, EISNER??

Is that you Ernie? Fozzie?

*bumps into Fozzie*

Oh, Foz. Hi. Great, so your here too. What did that guy say? He'll take our Muppety goodness? We've got to get out of here, but how?

*bumbs into a ladder*

I wonder where this ladder goes.

The ladder seems to strech up to the ceiling. It is Exit 5.

And by the way, for those who are worried, you don't really have only 24 hours to get out of the Labyrinth.

Er, Foz, everyone. How are we going to get out of here.

*sneezes*

Well, I can certainly give it a clean. I brought my mop and duster. Hey, what's this pineapple doing here?

[Fozzie Bear]

What's the pineapple doing? Looks like its...it's...SITTING THERE!! *GASP!*

Wait, that's normal. Okay, well...I'll bet that we'll need this pineapple later in case we get hungry. So, I would say that we should put the pineapple in Ernie's backpack.

Here, Ernie.

Now, we have 5 ways out.

Let's review:

Exit 1:

Large door as high as Sweetums and as wide as Timmy Monster. It has a round door handle.

Well, door number one is big so something big MIGHT be on the other side--and I don't want to mess with nothing bigger than me. Door number 2 is too small unless when we push it open we magically become big enough to go thru it. I can see a long bridge going out over the horizon in number 3 exit. There's a trap door below us and an exit above us, so that means we're somewhere in the middle and may already be half way out of the Labyrinth, so, I say we take the pineapple.

Wait, I already said that! Maybe we should all just go out the third exit because 3 is two more than one and two less than 5, so since we're in the middle anyways, why not take the middle number???

Huh? HAA! Yessir, that's what I think we should do.

[Beauregard]

I suggest exit 6. Er, how many exits did we have again?

[Fozzie Bear]

5, Beau. There are 5 exits. Unless Crazy Harry wakes up and has some TNT or something.

Ernie, you want to use #3, too, or what?

[Beauregard]

Was that £? 2? Or What? Or Three two or what? Or Three too?

[Fozzie Bear]

R2-D2??

I'd say let's use door number three. We gonna go? The whole gang is here with us.

[Super Scooter]

Fozzie! Beauregard! This is not the time to talk about imaginary droids, now, we need to figure out a way to get out of here, and fast! Fozzie, which door do you think we should take? I think 7.

[Super Scooter]

Oh... door number three?

[Fozzie Bear]

Yes, door number three. Let's go.

*Fozzie begins to walk toward door number 3 and stops just at the door.*

Well, here we go...

Hey, Fozzie, hold on a minute.

Look, Fozzie, are you sure we want to go through door number 3? I know it looks apealing and everything, but, you know, looks can be deceiving. Unless you're Miss Piggy, then what you see is what you get. hehehehehehe! *ahem* But, seriously, Fozzie, are you sure?

Two things. Scooter, really you can't decide which door to go out of since you know what's beyond them.

*Jumps up and down*

Well, where can I find some tissue? This place is making my nose run.

*looks round*

Hm, where is everyone else?

*Backs out of door*

So, I suppose going through the trap door might be the way to go?

Actually, I was thinking of the little door, but then the big door might be better.

Up or down? Left or right? Oh, to be able to make decicions.

[Fozzie Bear]

Okay, in that case, I say we use the big door. Let's go and get out of here!!

*Opens the door and pulls all inside.*

i can't see kermit is in my way what's behind the door

The room has a low ceiling and a carpeted floor. There is no apparent exit. No furniture. At one edge the carpet is caught up that wall.

Hey, guys where are we, oh look this room is a bit tidier. Hey, why is the carpet stuck up the wall, let me try and make it a bit neater.

*walks over to carpet and starts shoving it around it won't move so he gets angry and yanks on it*

When the carpet comes up everyone can see a large opening in the floor, if you look through you can see what looks like another room. Do you want to go down?

Wow, what the...?

Sorry, I seem to be sneezesing a lot.

Ar-choo.

Ok, who put the sneezing powder in the labyerinth?

[Fozzie Bear]

ACHOO!! *Sniff!* I dunno. Maybe the carpet is just dirty.

Well, if this were a Labyrinth, which it is, and there's a room under the floor, if we go down, we'll go up, which might get us in the direction we need to go to get out of here, so, I say let's go down there as there is no other way out of this room, and the door just closed.

*Jumps down into other room*

Sorry, Foz but down didn't go up, yet it lead to another room with three doors. One is red, one is purple, one is green. At the other side of the room is a short passage way.

You quickly open the doors.

Door one:

Leads to a stairway.

Door two:

Leads to a deep hole.

Door three:

Leads to a garden.

Suddenly you hear a voice: Hurry, hurry, hurry...

Door One with the stairs won.

Ri-ght. Er, Fozzie. I was just wondering. Why do you bother trying to be funny?

You walk up the stiars. At the toop you come to a hall, you want along that and come to another set of stairs, this time going down. You walk down them and come to another hall, you follow it along and arrive back in the room staring at the doors.

So will it be: Door two, door three, or the passage behind you?

Ok for some reason this place seems fimliar. I just can't put my finger on it.

You know I was about to just ask that queastion.

If backwards is forwards that would be a good idea, but lets sit here and think this out.

If we go backwards to the passage then if we follow the passage we'll be under the room we started in, so is that a good idea?

Let's take the passage behind us, because we REALLY need to get out of this room. We have a LONG way to go yet.

Let's go to the garden...maybe Animal can get something to eat. Of course, here's a pineapple.

The garden is filled with giant flowers and small trees.

You can go in any direction. In one direction you can see a giant hill towering above the ground, in the other direction you can hear the sound of rushing water.

Wow, nice garden. Hey, nice trees. Ooops, sorry, I didn't mean to trip over that tree.

[Fozzie Bear]

Is there a bathroom? I feel like I need to go with all the rushing water!! Hmm. We need to get out of the Labyrinth, and what better way to do it than by going to the top of that hill and seeing everything. What do you all say?

*looks at everyone and shakes head up and down in agreement*

Suddenly, you hear the sounds of footsteps and two people talking. You all crouch down at the edge of the path. And two men walk by.



MAN1: ...So, we have to find those Muppets and then get rid of them so that....

MAN2: ....that everything Muppet, the songs, sillyness, fun, and all will belong to our master...

The men walk away.

Golly, I think we should find a high place to see if we can see the way around the Labyrinth. If we don't get out of here, the Goblin King dude will take all our stuff from us...even US!

*Begins to run, but where? Game Master?*

Okay, let's stop running to see what we do next.

[Beauregard]

You run but what you don't notice is taht you are pretty much going round in a big circle, Suddenly you find yourself standing outside the golden gate.

It can not be opened from outside so you can't go back into the room. Spanning to the horizon is a bridge, with holes in it over a deep preceipise with running water.

You can go back and try to get to the top of the hill again, or you can go over the bridge. Which do you do?

Oh, this bridge needs a bit of a mend.

*Looks at golden gate in shock*

*Then, looks at bridge, to hill, to bridge, to hill, to bridge, to hill, to bridge...... gets dizzy and passes out.*

So, is the bridge our way to the hill, or...what? OH! I'm so confused!!

Ernie are you sure? What if its a trap of some kind? What if were lost for ever in this maze of unforsaking dirty city. I can't take anymore of this. :cry: *yells out to Game Master*

Game Master! What objects do we have to work with?!

*TO GAME MASTER: can we get description of bridge? Does it have ropes and such? what can we see on other side?*

*THOUGHT 2 EVERYONE ELSE: If heading towards the hill brought us in circles and back here, wouldn't bridge be way to go?*

I can't stand when I don't know what's going on here? Its like the time we couldn't find Big Bird. Alwful day that was. Sorry I kind of get carry away with stuff. We need to do somthing. Fozzie right. We might get capture but will get out.

*remembers his bottle caps he had*

Guys! I got a great idea. I remember the Game Master saying we get weapons. So I remember that I had my bottle caps.

One thing that my bottle caps can do in the Labyerinth that they wouldn't be able to do on SS is change into things. My bottle caps could fill in the holes.

Hows that? *looks at everyone suprised*

The bride is long and fairly thin. It is wooden and filled with large wide holes.

The bridge is held up by aparently nothing, has no edges to it, and is a little woobily.

You have these tools to work with: Mop, duster, Paper clip collection (which can make anything), ruber duckie (with invisability spray), drum sticks, and ruber chicken.

Using the paper clips to plug the hole got you about halfway across the bridge before they ran out. Now each paper clip is only half power for a few pages of posts so you can't use them any more.

You are about halfway across the bridge, there are holes, what do you do?

*All the movement on the wobbly bridge makes it shake more violently.*

All of sudden a pigion comes flying out of nowhere......

Getting a closer look, Bert recognizes the bird.............

Ahhhhh.

*Suddenly swings mop round and gets it cought on the hole.

Help, help, help. I'm hanining no here by one furry hand and it's slipping.

* Dangling from Beau's muppet foot *

*Animal smacks his forhead and shakes his head in disbelief*

Animal, amimal, you are kind of heavy. My hands are mind of slipery.

*lets go with one hand*

*Pulls duster out of back pocket and twirls it round head*

I hope this works.

*pulls mop out of the hole and trows the duster while still holding it*

*the duster is thrown with such force that it pulls Beau and animal back onto the bridge.*

Beau's Duster and mop are now half power wich means they can't be used for two pages, Ernie's paper clips also need to wait for two pages before being used again.

Wow, I'm back on the bridge again.

Beau and Animal's impact has made the bridge start to swing back and forth, the edges of the bridge begin to crumble a little. You guys had better hurry across.

Let's look to see if we can find our way out of here. What do we see when we look from the top of the hill, Game Master?

Bert spots some little creatures running around

What in the world are those things? *points to them*

Do you think they might can help us out of this maze? Ernie ask them something.

Bert gets mad at Ernie for not picking up the mess in his room

Ernie! What did I tell you?! Pick up your room. Don't look at me that way. You heard what I said..........PICK UP YOUR ROOM!!! NOW!!!

Bert points to the ground but Ernie sees dirt, worms and grass

Ernie pick up your room. Its a mess. I can't belive you mess up your room that bad. I can't stand it. I'm going out to the store but this better be picked up when I get back.

Bert skips off

Looking down across the whole of the labyrinth you are shooked and surprised. You didn't realise that there was so much of it. The easiest way seems to be down the other side of the hill and to the north. A second reason for going that way is because in the sky that way is a sign saying "exit,"2 while the other way the sign says "entrance."

As you start to go down the hill you slip and roll to the bottom where you land in a ditch.

Oof! I have dirt in my fur now. Yuck. Well, this is a sure fine mess...what do we do now? I mean it's like...like...do I hear laughter?

Oh no, I just knew someone would fall down there, in fact two someones. I wonder what's at the bottom of this hill.

*Walking down*

For all we know it light be a hole, or a river, or a wall, or a maze, or a well, you name it it could be it. I can't believe that Kermit got us stuck in a LABYRINTH of all things.

*walks on*

Bert: Ernie! Thanks alot. Now I'm wet because of you.

Ernie: Bert! Why you blame me. You shouldn't have grabed my pants leg. Were both wet.

*Bert and Ernie wait for the rest of gang to get there*

Bert: Ernie. How about another game of cards?

Ernie: Sure. Why not.

But before they can get the cards out something starts to happen

*Ernie and Bert grab each other*

Both: HELP!!!!!!!

Oh, no what's happening?

Golly look at that!!! Fozzie! Fozzie, can you hold my hand?

As everyone turns they can see a large monster with long, shaggy fur walking towards them

He stops about three meters from them and scratches it's head.

LUNDU (LUDO's cousen): What weird creatures.

He turns to walk away.

Do we follow him? Stop him? Talk to him? You decide.

Er, what a strange looking animal.

I think I had better do some explaining. Lundo did not say that there were doors, he said that there might be doors sometime.

Can we go back and change the contents of that letter? I don't know anything really about Lodo so I can't play him if we have to go and rescue him.

Some of the doors have strange arrows on them. One is pointing up, one is pointing down, one is pointing to the left and one is pointing to the ritgh. The one pointing up has a strange sign under it like it has been clawed by a large beast, but hasn't.

Well, I CERTAINLY don't want to go down anymore, so: From the top of the hill it looked like the way out was to the left, so I'm going in the door pointing to the left.

We open the door and see a long passage streatching to theright. As we follow the passage we see thta it is slopeing upward.Suddenly we arrive in the middle of a small corn feild. To our left is a sign saying "Raggy Rat's house' it points to a smalll dilapidated house. If you remember Raggy Rat has a secret way to get out of the lybarinth and he is leaving that night.

Sudden;y there is a crack of thunder and a loud voice shout, "light's out,."

The sun is turned off and it is suddenly very dark.

What do you do?

Raggy pulls open a curtain at the back of the tunnel and we can see inside Fraggle Rock.

RAT: This is my exit. From here you guys would still have a way to go home, bbut now you have to take me along. I am sooo happy.

RAT: I'm just waiting for my friend, a giant bird, to arrive. He is leaving with me. I sent him out to find anyone else who wants to leave, I hope he is alright.

*Bernice comes flying in* Oh thank goodness. So about that hole? Are u sure its big enough? I've been looking for one of these ever since I heard that story of the faggles but they don't esctice. Do they?

The bird enters the room.

BIRD: Oh so you found him anyway. Yes and you threw a table cloth over me in the process. Humph.

RAT: Ok, lets go. As we leave we will enter some kind of brightly lit cavens in a place called Fraggle rock, but as soon as we are in there, I will press a button and we'll arrive in your Muppet Theatre.

Everyone exits through the hole and then gets zapped to the theatre. They see a large rocket sat on the middle of the stage. A tall shadowy man climbs through the door and a voice is heard over the PA system.

VOICE: I may be gone, but trust me, I'll be back. You'll never me rid of me you Muppets.

Wow, that was bad, but look, we made it guys!!!
