Hi-ho, everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we here at USAopoly are currently working on another fun Muppet project that should be out in stores sometime in October. I'm REALLY excited about it, and I've spent the past few weeks trying to cram as much Muppety goodness as possible into it! I'll give you a hint as to what it is: it's not a "board game" per se, but it is another product that we at USAopoly produce. Puzzled? ;) I'll reveal more information soon, but I'm curious to see if someone can guess it.

I'm guessing Muppets clue, but there aren't enough female muppets to do that, unless we make some guys in drag, and make camilla a character:
1. Kermit as Mr. Green
2. Beaker as Prof. Plum
3. Fozzie as Colonel Mustard
4. Gonzo as Mrs. White
5. Miss Piggy as Miss Scarlet
6. Camilla as Ms. Peacock
Weapons:
1. Pie
2. Animal
3. Cannon
4. Penguin (Death by penguin, Ha!)
5. Blush
6. Muppet Labs Gizmo
Areas:
1. Swedish Kitchen
2. Electric Mayhem Stage
3. Muppet Labs
4. Swinetrek
5. Backstage
6. Bear on Patrol Set
7. Vet's Hospital
8. Balchony
9. Muppet Newsroom
Only problem is: MUPPETS DON'T KILL PEOPLE!

Nope, it's not Clue; it's not really a board game at all. I guess I'd have to say it's more of an "activity" than a traditional game. ;) Any more guesses?

Okay, I don't really like waiting for info. either. ;) This week I've been putting the finishing touches on...
MUPPETS 550-PIECE COLLECTOR'S EDITION JIGSAW PUZZLE
The image that makes up the puzzle itself is brand new and I spent the past several weeks assembling it and...well, let's just say that we're shooting for not only the "ultimate" Muppet puzzle here but quite possibly one of the coolest jigsaw puzzles ever (ESPECIALLY if you're a Muppet fan)! I've been asked not to say too much about it at this point, but in another month or two you can expect Muppet Central to get a full and exclusive first look at the puzzle! In the meantime... OOH, I really want to tell you all about the puzzle image! (I'm REALLY excited about it in case you can't tell.) :halo:

Cool!!! You guys do us fans proud! The only thing I am wondering about is if there will be a floating head Piggy. Henson has been sticking it into all their work to mask a more classic-looking Piggy. The biggest problem is that it's the same picture, LOL! I'm sure you guys have it all planned out beautifully. Can't wait!

Ultimate puzzle, eh? Sounds sweet!! can't wait to see it. So I imagne it will be alot like the one from Springbok back in the early 80's but less pieces and more characters then, eh?

What are the measurements of the puzzle? I'm all about framing it once I get it done if it's a nice enough puzzle. (and a purdee pickture) (said in a southern accent)

From my neck of the woods, it's called a 'purty pi'ture.' taken with a nice 'cam'ra.'
"Dere wus one time w'en de fambly gotted together an' wus takin' some pi'tures. De cam'ra broked fo' times!"
I'm super excited about the new puzzle, actually. I love puzzles. It's a new image and everything, which is really exciting. All the old pictures are cool, just old.

Hi,
When you say its a new picture and you've been putting it together, Do you mean you went to Henson's and set the Puppets up for the picture?
Or you took all different parts of different pictures and put them together?
Whichever way please add Pops, Lips and Nigel if possible !
Also, there was a 1000 peice puzzle released in the UK.

Ya see, I hate puzzle's. I mean there ok and fun when it's more then one person making it, but a Muppet puzzle that will be great! and it add's another great idea for a Muppet party with my friends! wow Muppet Monopoly, Muppet playing cards, Muppet Uno, Muppet Party Cruise, Muppet RaceMania, and now a new Muppet puzzle! plus added Muppet show and movie and speacil DVD's puls a whole lotta junk food and all my best firends makes one teriffic Muppet party!!!!
It would be cool if they could make it a full cast photo, i mean Henson as never really made one before and now with Pepe and Bobo Jonny, Sal, Phil, it would be cool along with everyone from Phil Van Nuter, Dr. Teeth, Bean Bunny, Crazy Harry and Lew Zeland to Pepe, Rowlf, Scooter, Cifford, and Sweetums! and everyone else !
Zack)Rowlf the, I don't know, i just never really liked puzzles, but this is a Muppet Puzzle!!!Dog.

radionate, the puzzle is 18" tall x 24" wide. I'll probably be framing mine too. ;)
While I can't get into details at the moment, matleo pretty much hit the nail on the head in terms of the new image. :) One of the 3 characters Warrick mentioned IS in the puzzle and, I think, all but 3 of the characters Zack mentioned are in it as well. ;) I'll be giving the grand total # of Muppets in the puzzle soon.
Warrick, I'd LOVE to actually get to go to Henson's to photograph some of the actual Muppets, but all the composing I did for the puzzle was using existing photography.
Zack, this will be a GREAT puzzle for a group of people to put together at a Muppet party. Who knows, this may be the puzzle that turns around your opinion of puzzles? ;)

[
baaed on that info and the info abve, I would guess that Pops is the character Warrick got. he'sa pretty high-profile muppet where as Lips and Nigel have kind of been abandoned over the years.
I would also guess that from Zack's list Rowlf, Scooter, Dr. teeth, Pepe, Johnny, Sal, Bobo, Crazy Harry Lew Zeland and Sweetums will be there. most of those are characters seen in  Muppet Monopoly  so we know MG already has access to shots of them. Bean, Clifford, Dr. Phil are not.
You know some time ago, I became very disappointed in Hensons' complete and total inability to do a good cast photo and slapped something togetehr on my computer. I'm farily certain I posted it over at Palisades. but it was my answer to that old 1000 piece puzzle. Not very good because my graphics program sucks, but I still like it and it comes up as the backgoround on my computer from time to time. right now, I can't find it, but if I do I'll post the link to it.

As a springboard for the new group shot I started out with the group shot that appeared on the Muppet Monopoly game board, so Kermit, Miss Piggy, The Swedish Chef, etc. all look on the puzzle the same way they did on the Monopoly game board. Sorry I don't have better news for you regarding the Kermit head. :(
As for the other Muppets appearing in the puzzle, I didn't want to use ALL the same Muppets as were in Muppet Monopoly, and some didn't fit for various reasons, so 2 of the Muppets matleo guessed will be in the puzzle actually aren't in it...and 2 of the ones he guessed wouldn't be, in fact, are. ;)

Since we now know that the monpoly center pic is being used we can also expect on seeing th other usuals...Kerm, piggy, gonzo, Fozzie, Animal Statler, Waldorf, Sam, Chef, Rizzo, etc. as MG has confirmed and I would bet that Robin, Beau, Floyd, Janice, and Zoot are pretty safe bets too. hm...can't wait see who else makes the cut.
Thanks for the confirmations and news, MG.

Scott, send him a good Kermit picture!! Maybe it's not too late to change the design just yet.Well, Danny recently wrote up a big gripe (http://toughpigs.com/journalposeur.htm) about it. I think a lot of fans have had this on their chest for years now. I know I have.
It's made pretty clear with his comparison shots just how drastic of a difference it is. I mean, the eye placement is all wrong and the shape of the head is tough to deal with.

hey MG,
on a note similar to the Kermit conversation, what pics has henson sent you for floyd and Zoot. Are they the ones used over at muppets.com in the profiles (the same ones used on the Palisades toys)
http://www.muppets.com/profiles/floyd.htm
http://www.muppets.com/profiles/zoot.htm
The Zoot one isn't 'too' bad but that Floyd pic is just embarassing. it's like 25 years old and that puppet when he looked at his absolute worst!! there is no life in it!! You have a real opportunity here Monopoly Guy. Ask henson for a better pic of Floyd and ask if you can replace the head on that kermit pic with another. Currently Henson seems to have 'no scruples' when it comes ot altering the characters head in a pic and they seem to do it in a very embarassing way. You have a chance to change history here and set a new standard for their licensing department. the ancient Floyd and the 'new' kermit have to go. good luck with the puzzle.

Puzzles are more fun when made with groups of people!!
hmm, Bobo wasn't in Muppet Monopoly either so it would be great to see him in this puzzle! Lips had a teeny tiny pic in the game on the EM stage spot.
I hope Sweetums is in the puzzle but i have a feeling he was one of the three on my list that won't be in it also Clifford and Bean Bunny as well.
I hope Beau is in it! I LOVE that pic of him in Muppet Monopoly!!!! I've never seen it before! anyone know where it's from? it would have been good for a bio of him on that Muppets.com webpage as well as if Palisades was still using real pics of the muppets for when his figure comes out. the Lew Zealand pic also would have been good on that bio web page as well, rather then Andy and Randy Pig, i know there is a Lew Zealand bio with that pic of him on line somewhere.

All of the puzzle imagery was final as of last Friday when it was sent to the printer. I don't want any of you to think that I have more power or say than I actually do; I'm just a graphic artist who has been given this wonderful opportunity to be able to work with Henson and the Muppets. The only imagery I can use is what I receive from Henson. Even though the Kermit in the puzzle may not be your personal favorite image of him, I doubt that any of you won't love this puzzle. I personally love puzzles and tried very hard to make sure that not one puzzle piece would be a solid or background color. A grand total of 33 Muppets both old and new fill every inch of the puzzle space, and everyone at the USAopoly office who saw it commented on how cool they thought it was. I know I can't wait to put it together for the first time. One of the really cool things about the puzzle (to me) is that for the first time I really got to see all the different textures that make up the various Muppets. It's also EXTREMELY colorful as you can well imagine, I'm sure. ;) Zoot's image in the puzzle comes from the Electric Mayhem property space on the Muppet Monopoly board, and rest assured that there is DEFINITELY a better Floyd picture in the puzzle than the one matleo asked about. Good luck trying to guess all 33 Muppets in the puzzle--at least one of them is REALLY obscure. ;)
As for if the puzzle will be available overseas, I really don't know at this point. I'll have to answer that question closer to the puzzle's release in October when we'll know all the retailers who'll be carrying it. Until then, I've been asked not to say any more about the puzzle until it's closer to it's release, but expect Muppet Central to get an exclusive first look when the time comes. :D

I like that list Jamie! if only Phil Van nuter, Emily Bear and umm Andy and Randy Pig and maybe Seymore the elephant could be in it,It would make it a really FULL cast IMOP, the one thing is though that i made a little list of charcters before i belive were Rowlf,Bobo, Clifford, Dr.teeth, Bean Bunny, Sweetums, Phil Van nuter and I think I said Scooter or it could have been Pepe, Monopoly Guy said all but three of those Muppets are in the puzzle.
Clifford would be my first choice of not being in the puzzle, i would bet Rowlf, Scooter, Dr. Teeth and Pepe are in it, then it would be between Bean, Bobo and Sweetums and one of them making it in. I would hope for sweetums to be it!

yeah I like your list too Jamie, except as Zack said, thare are a few flaws in your logic;
1) You counted Pepe twice. LOL
2) When Warrick said he wanted ot see Lips, Pops, and Nigel in the puzzle, MG said that only one of those three was there. So you can't have both Lips and Pops. One of those is wrong.
3) the above discrpenecy that Zack pointed out.

There is no flaw to my logic. The purpose was to list all potential characters, not make a hard list of who's definitely going to be in the puzzle. I have doubts that Van Neuter will make it in so I didn't list him. The same with Emily Bear and Annie Sue. My list wasn't who I wanted to be in the composition, it's about al the likely candidates I could think of.
King Prawn
07-10-2003, 03:17 PM
Okay let's try to figure this out
Pop’s, Lips, Nigel
ONE of these characters are in it
Pepe,Bobo Johnny, Sal, Phil Van Nuter, Dr. Teeth, Bean Bunny, Crazy Harry, Lew Zeland, Rowlf, Scooter, Cifford, and Sweetums
TEN of these thirteen characters are also in it
Kermit, Piggy, Statler, Waldorf, Sam, Bunsen, Beaker, Pepe, Gonzo, Rizzo, Animal & Swedish Chef
ALL are in it (Confirmed by Monopoly Guy)
Floyd & Zoot
BOTH are in it
So we are sure that:
1) :)
2)
3)
4) :halo:
5) :concern:
6) Rizzo
7) Statler
8) Waldorf
9) Sam the Eagle
10) Bunsen
11) Beaker
12) The Swedish Chef
13) Floyd
14) Zoot
And it's pretty safe to say that:
15) Janice
16) Dr. Teeth
17) Fozzie
Now from Warrick's list we can use one, I'm gonna go with Lips
18) Lips
And from Zack's we've already used Pepe & Dr.Teeth up from that list so it's 8 out of 11 characters that can be used, i'm gonna say...
19) Johnny Fiama
20) Sal
21) Bobo
22) Crazy Harry
23) Lew Zealand
24) Rowlf
25) Scooter
26) Clifford
It was hard to find the one that was in the puzzle in Warrick's list and hard to find the three that were not in the puzzle in Zack's list, anyway I think Sweetums ain't in it due to size and I just think Bean & Dr. Phil are the weakest in that list.
So that's 26 so far we need 7 more and one is totally obscure, that could very well be Lips but i'm gonna go for Uncle Deadly so continuing the list...
27) Uncle Deadly
28) Beauregard
29) Link Hogthrob
30) Muppet Newsman
31) Camilla
32) Penguin???????
33) I'd say either another Penguine, Chicken or Dr. Strangepork
That was tiring... I need a hobby... oh wait Muppet's are my hobby

As for the other Muppets appearing in the puzzle, I didn't want to use ALL the same Muppets as were in Muppet Monopoly, and some didn't fit for various reasons, so 2 of the Muppets matleo guessed will be in the puzzle actually aren't in it...and 2 of the ones he guessed wouldn't be, in fact, are.
heck what if Moe Frackle made it in! LOL! I don't think he was made just for "life with Louie" on Family Fued!!!! :) :zany:

So will we be seeing Beauregard, Uncle Ddeadly, or Janice? (Of course we'll have Janice, what a dumb questian.)
Will it only be Muppet Show characters? Or will there be Muppet (other show, tonight etc) characters? Muppet Film Charaters (Clueless Morganish?) And/or characters from other shows (SS, BIBH, FR etc.)
