View Full Version : My encounter with an 8 yr old Gumball

Ok about an hour ago I went to the movie place with my mom.We rented movies then i stuck a courter in the gumball machine.If you get one wrapped in aluminium foil you win a free rental.So i win! WOW! Well I show him then I go pick out a movie.Then he asks for the gumball and i give him the wrapper.He says,You ate that? I said Yeah.He goes ohh noo.Then he said those that are wrapped i re-use when people win.That gumballs probally been in there 8 yrs.So i was 6 years old when he put that thing in there! I was like oh no! I spit it out.Then everyone laughs at me.Not fun! I wondered why it was so hard!

I still have a mint box of ALF trading cards somewhere that still has all the bubblegum in the packets - must be about 15 years old. I could open it and give you all a taste verdict but then they'd be worth less .... hmmmm!

maybe i shouldn't.......of course i know of some stores around here where i bet the gum is from the 50's

gum from the 50's..hey a collectors item!!!!! you can collect old gum and go on some talk show like the jay leno show and talk about why you collect old gum!!!!!! and then you'll be famous! woohoo...

You kids always manage to crack me up. What other forum has this kind of strange avant garde comedy?
And Luke...you do know if the insectoid aliens ever come down to earth and all crops and food supplies are wiped out, it might come down to that ALF bubblegum for survival. ^)^

Heh, this is definately the kind of levity I needed on here. Thanks guys! And hey, at least you got a free movie out of it right?
And yes Luke...Im sure somwhere in a fringe survival manual baseball card bubblegum is included in some sort of post apocalyptic food staple^_^

Hate to frighten you here but I used to work at a candy store and most of the candy you buy in the stores is at least a year old. Chocolate doesn't keep quite as long so they use wax to preserve it. Hard sugar candy like gum will last almost forever.:eek:

that is so freakin awsome!!!!!! any candy that is at a store that someone buys is over a year old!! how cool is that!
ya, wesley is such a cool guy, and i love his movies....he's a great actor....he'll be on bernie mac tonight!! so go watch him on your local fox station...
