View Full Version : Had a nice muppet dream.

I woke up a while ago from a very nice dream.
I was visiting the set of what seemed to be sesame street. Jim & frank was there. Also Benny Hill was there, i don't know why :D
Someone asked me to hold a puppet in a puppetcrowd during the shoots.
Suddenly Jim and Frank came up to my puppet and started talking to it with their puppets (Bert & Ernie).
I had to start adlibing and they said afterwards that they liked my act.
They asked me if i was willing to join the muppet crew :)
Then i woke up.
I also had a more horrifying dream...I was at a cinema located in the old WTC, and i figure you can all guess what happened during the film....kaboom, not a very nice experience. From that dream i can *sort of* imagine what the people in those buildings felt like.

Yeah, I had multiple dreams a month or so ago featuring the Muppets and a terrorist attack. Just as well, I probably think about 9/11 just as much as anything these days.
OT, the WTC had a cinema, too?

I live in southwest US. Never been to NYC. On 9/11, I kind of knew what the Twin Towers were, but didn't really know what the WTC was, so I kind of missed out on the whole "shock" thing.

I once had a dream where Fozzie was crying. Instead of tears coming from his eyes, they came out of his mouth! Weird. I took one of my McDonalds Muppet toys (the ones that you build a Muppet) and did that and I cracked up!

very odd but we cant control our dreams
I latley have been having MANY Muppet dreams:
1.The first one dealt with My birthday party, with a suprise guest appearance from Sweetums
2. Okay, now this next one is pretty out there. I'm out at a dark run down carnival, and I see Miss Piggy and Fat Albert (together, no less) trying to win a Nanco Piggy on a carnival game (get the rings around the milk bottle).....Suddenly, Frank Oz walks by and says to Piggy, "Nice job, Eric"...
3. Now, it's 1976, and I'm on the set of SNL, trying to get the Muppets back on the show, using the "Beatles" gag.
4. Finally, It's 1982, and I'm in the Creature Workshop making the first Dark Crystal heads. Soon, the pod people come alive and begin dancing and singing. They pick me up and throw me into a dark room. It looks like a drawer. Well, it was. Apparently, Muppets wanted to give the builders a taste of their own medicine.
strange, huh?

You're a sick, twisted, demented man. You remind me of myself.
"Luke The Mystifying" here, Muppet Dream Psycholgist Extrodinare !!!!
I will interpret your dreams and tell you the real meanings behind them :-
BorkBork
I was visiting the set of what seemed to be sesame street. Jim & frank was there. Also Benny Hill was there, i don't know why
The significance of Benny Hill is that you would like to chase Miss Piggy around a farm, wearing a straw hat. The significance of Jim and Frank, and Sesame Street is that you would like Bert & Ernie to watch you doing this.
Boyraisin2
Yeah, I had multiple dreams a month or so ago featuring the Muppets and a terrorist attack.
Ok. this one is easy. You are plotting to go over to Germany and seize back control of the Henson Company. Be careful, the EMTV security guards may be hiding explosives in large sausages.

You have a secret idea that McDonalds are substituting 'Bear' for 'Cow' ----- this may be a definite possibility.
I'll do Scooters later as he's REALLY wierd and i'm going to have to consult with my magic 8 ball !!!!!

You're a sick, twisted, demon--no wait, you're right.
Although chasing Miss Piggy around a farm does sound like fun! Never mind.

LOL raisen id like to breed baby piggys
Getting back to the dream analysis, i have had a chance to consult with my magic 8 ball, but it's not talking to me right now (well, nothing more than yes, no, and possibly so) but the FBI has ensured me that Ryan isn't on any 'crazed Muppet fans writing fan letters to the president' list so on we go :-
1.The first one dealt with My birthday party, with a suprise guest appearance from Sweetums
You fear you are going to have a severe problem with hair growth by the time you are 25. You also have a hidden desire to break into Hollywood.
This is a tricky one. This is a protest over the quality of Miss Piggy merchandise - in the Frank Oz era, Piggy was portrayed as nothing less than an angelic vision of beauty in her merchandise..... with the exception of a few 'hogs'. In Eric's tenure as 'Piggy' we have Palisades 'effort' (although they have since reprieved themselves) and the Nanco plush. Frank was saying "Nice job, Eric" in a sarcastic and superior tone.
3. Now, it's 1976, and I'm on the set of SNL, trying to get the Muppets back on the show, using the "Beatles" gag.
You are paranoid that a crazy Muppet fan is going to try and assasinate Kermit The Frog at Muppetfest with Fozzie Bears rubber chicken.
You are afraid of other people discovering you are completely mad, so you surround yourself by other mad people (ie:- Muppet fans) and blend in nicely. You are afraid of being institutionalised, basically because you would miss the Muppets on TV .... it would be hard changing from NBC to Fox wearing a straight-jacket !
strange, huh?
Not around here dude !
LOL!

You, know....this post seems like a weird Muppet Dream, doesn't it?
However, being the weirdest one here (that is, I'm the only one who wants to stick to the subject..gasp!!!) I had creepy Sesame Dreams for a while.
I said my thing about the Rechov Sumsum/ Number pinball translation before. I used to have SUCH recurring nightmares that it came on, and it was on every channel. And they were so realistic, too! Shudder... and the rechov Sumsum horror doesn't end there... I used to have recurring dreams that it was back on American TV. I still have them.

I had a terrible muppet dream last night and it really un-nerved me.
In my dream it was 1992 and Richard Hunt had just died. i was in New York putting together a documentry about him. Part of it was interviews with other muppeters. And instead of saying nice things about him they were saying things like 'It was his own fault - No one made him get Aids'. Even Jerry Nelson was saying these things and they were like Best Friends!!!
And then I saw footage of his memeriol service and his coffin was taken on a boat past NYC and then it went out to sea. But instead of people on the boat with him - it was muppets.
In my dream i was crying heaps for Richard and then when i woke up (my alarm went off) i was still crying!!!
This is like 12 hours ago but i still feel really upset and I don't have anyone else to tell this to so you guys get to hear about it.

Can I join the pitty-fest too? Here is my bad dream. It was a while back, but I remember it vividly:
Disney was holding a celebration of the Little Mermaid in a building no bigger than a standard High School auditorium. They were showing many clips from the movie, which were projected onto a wall of water (anyone who has seen the stage show at WDW knows what I mean). I walk into the building, but I don't sit down, I just stand in the back and watch. I glance over my shoulder, and there he is, the man who did Cantus's voice. It wasn't Jim though, which I think let me know it was a dream sort of. He was sitting by the door, like where a ticket-taker would be. I went up to him, and just froze. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, nothing. Finally I ran and got a sheet of paper, and wrote on it "You are my god," but by the time I got back to give it to him, he was gone. I looked towards the isle, and saw his sitting down and watching the wall of water. I said to someone else near him "I need to talk to that man," but he told me to just sit and watch the movie. I watched, and it was clips of the man singing as Cantus, recording music for Fraggle Rock. I started crying. I looked to where he was sitting after the clips were over. He had stood up, and looked like he was going to leave. I ran to him, but I still couldn't speak. I tried to give him the note. He refused it. He said to me this: "I really don't want that, son. Please leave me now." And with that, he walked out of the auditorium. I fell to my knees, ripped up the note, and just wept openly, and quite loudly at that. Than thank god, I woke up.
Jeeze...:( bad dreams, gotta hate em.
