Hi--

If anyone is going to the Chicago Wizard World show-- I would really appreciate it if they would pick up a Vanishing Cream Beeker for me. My husband is a huge Beeker fan and I'd love to surprise him with one. Of course I would pay for the figure and shipping and I'd split the cost of admission to the show with you-- I could even throw in a little quilted Muppet Towel for your trouble....

Thanks,

Blinky

Muppetquilter,

I do not want to step on your toes but if anyone else could help me out as well I would appreciate it (after The Muppetquilter has been taken care of course)

I am going to the Chicago show. My 2 are already taken (by me). I can get them for people but it all depends on wheather I can get friends to go with me. I can most lik'ely trick them into a trip to Chi town but they arent gonna wanna pay to get into a convention. This means if I am able to get figures for anyone, they are going to have to pay split the addmission charge. If anyone is interested I am making a list. I figure the costs to be 30.00, 15.00 for beaker, 10.00 split addmission and 5.00 shipping. If your up for this there are 4 spaces on the list as of now and maybe more later. Please remeber there are NO PROMISES.

Fer Sure,

I could pay 30 dollars for the figure if there is still space on your list.

so who made the list?

Lots of people bypassed posting and emailed directly. Thoses people wound up on the list. Unfortunatly your post and that from MM-III came later than the others and you didn't make the list. There may be more spots available later but at this time I am full.

I live in Chicago (thankfully), so I plan on attending the show as well. I'll try to get my wife to accompany me, and whoever else I can round up so I can get Beakers for fellow MC folks. Here's my deal: I do not want these figures to sell on ebay. I only want one for myself. The reason I want more is so I can trade with you wonderful folks who are able to attend other shows across the country. Therefore, my first extra Beaker will go to whoever wants to trade me for a Dr. Teeth repaint from Philly, second Beaker will go to someone who wants to trade me for the San Diego Animal, and so on... I think that if we (the MC people) have enough representation around the country, we might all be able to get those elusive exclusives at the conventions. What does everybody think? Let me know.

If you want the Chicago Beaker, gorry, you'll be my #1. I won't expect you to send the Dr. Teeth until I actuall acquire Beaker, of course. If you want, we can do this over e-mail, but I figure that if it's kept on the forum, everyone can see who is trading with whom so everyone is always up to date with who has what available. Did that make sense? Of course details (mailing info, etc.) can be taken care of over e-mail.

alright.i'll just save up for another dr.teeth on ebay or something.i'll find another,it probobly won't be any trouble finding one for myself.

You mean you're willing to trade your ONLY Dr. Teeth for Vanishing Cream Beaker?! Well, that's up to you, but I was hoping you had an extra so that after our trade we would both have both the Dr. Teeth repaint and the new Beaker. But if you're a big Beaker fan...

i willing to trade because i have the money to just go over to ebay and buy another.:)
so don't worry both of us will end up with both.

ah yes, well as someone else mentioned earlier, I guess it's cheaper to get an ebay Muppet exclusive than to but a plane ticket across the country. We'll talk about this again closer to the next shows if that's cool. And as I said, if you're still willing to trade your Dr. Teeth when I get my Beakers...you'll get the first one.

Later...

So could someone pick me up an Animal with Black T Shirt and a Vanishing Cream Beaker please ?

Ken did not say that MC people would be able to get extra figs. He mentioned that they MIGHT bend the rules for us. Right now its still a sit and wait situation.

Hey,
Oh right, Thanks for explaining.

Well, if the rules get bent then can someone help me out ?

see ya

If Ken and Palisades lets us bend the rules, I'd be delighted to be a Chicago/Midwest "hook-up". My pleasure. I'm always around the forum, though I don't post a lot. So I'll be sure to watch what's going on with this.

I'd like to jump in here for a me too post about the Vanishing Cream Beaker Wizard World Chicago exclusive. I couldn't hook up with anyone for the Philly Dr. Teeth, and was one of the lowly "dozen who contacted Palisades" about buying the fig directly from them after the show, but we all know how that turned out.

I don't want to miss another exclusive. I'd be eternally grateful if anyone going to the show would add me to their shopping list for the figure. And I have no problem splitting admission with someone and paying $30.00 delivered for the figure, if that's what it takes and Ken can't persuade the Palisades booth folks to make and exception for MC forum posters.

Thanks very much in advance to anyone who can help out. :)
