Just in time for Halloween. I've always wanted a Sesame Street or Muppet costume, and here is your chance if you're too lazy to make one.

I think the Muppet Show ones look much better... even though some of them were quite off.

Honestly, though.... what's up with the Oscar? A Halloween Hood? That's for little kids so they can see where they're going when they trick or treat. it looks TERRIBLE on an adult.

The Ernie and Bert are alright... though they look vaguely creepy.

OMG! I have been waiting for these for years! They look way better than I could have ever hoped for. I have to play drums on Halloween night (after Muppets on Halloween 4 videos of course) and I know what I'll be wearing, ha! Thanks guys.

I have seen the Bert and Ernie adult costumes (http://www.costumealibi.com) online. I wish there were more characters (don't get me wrong I love Bert and Ernie!) Could you imagine a Dr. Teeth costume? Maybe I'll do a homemade version this year.

The Oscar the Grouch on is kind of tempting as he is my favorite Sesame Street character...... well .... him and Grover.

I love that Oscar costume (sorry Tooth!). I think it looks really cool, despite the fact it has "Scram" written in cheesy writing across the front (Why!). I'd buy it!

A new addition to the Sesame Street Halloween costumes group!

I'm honestly torn between going with these or the Muppet Show costumes for my big Halloween 2009 plans. :sympathy:

I ask you... what on Earth is wrong with a mask? These are ADULT costumes... not something a 5 year old who can barely see to begin with would wear...

Comfort, maybe? Who wants to be breathing their own breath all night behind a mask, when they can have a hood and still be able to see and chat and interact with everyone else at the party, while still giving a general Grover impression.

I see what you mean... but these sort of things are ever so precious on a 2-5 year old (maybe even younger)... but they look slightly disturbing on a full grown man. Looks like he's eating his head...

*laughs* I do see what you mean (And I'm having rather odd images of Cookie Monster eating people's heads...great, now I'll have those dreams again...) But similarly, I've worn masks to parties before, and they're not so much fun as they appear at first, and can be quite isolating (and insulating...Hot hot hot!)

I think it might be the fact that hoods are closer to material the Muppets are made from than a latex mask would. I see where your coming from, but since the SST Muppets are a bit more "cute-and-cuddly" hoods just seem to fit the bill.

There's a fifth costume they didn't lsit and I saw it at a Halloween store last night. I wish I had something to take a picture with...

But they also have The Count. It's, unfortunately, another hood thing... the head looks to be made of the same stuff Ernie and Bert's heads are made of.

Yeah, I saw that at the mall yesterday. I don't know, I really like the SST costumes despite the hoods.

By the way, I just found a Big Bird one online: http://www.spirithalloween.com/product/df-big-bird/

So for references thus far, we have:
Big Bird
Elmo
Cookie Monster
Oscar the Grouch
Ernie
Bert
Super Grover
The Count

Am I missing any others?

UGH! That one looks like no effort was done at all. The others, despite the hoods, actually look Cool (Oscar and the Count especially)... but that one looks, as Mr. Stubborn would put it, CHEAP! :smirk:

Thanks a lot for that! I really want to be Super Grover for Halloween but I don't know, that price... :super:

If it helps anyone, I found the same costume online for $58.34, not that much cheaper but it's a start: http://www.needcostumes.com/super-grover-adult-costume-standard?utm_source=GoogleBase&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_campaign=promotion

I'm prbably the only one here who thinks this... but I still think These old costumes (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Sesame_Street_Halloween_costumes_%28Ben_Cooper%29) were better.

At least this batch doesn't look like this (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/File:Big_big_child_costume.jpg)
