You probably know him as "That Announcer Guy Who Announced All the Movies", with his famous opening lines "In a world where...", but his real name was Don Lafontaine, and he died at 68 today, though it hasn't been said what the cause of death is/was.
Rest in peace Voiceover King.

Apparently he was from Duluth, MN. This was on the webpage for our local paper, I found it interesting that he was a Minnesotan.
RIP announcer dude!

Aww, that's really sad to hear. Though most of us didn't know him by name or face, he really had a memorable voice.

And I later learned what his face looked like when he started making appearances on Jay Leno and a few commercials.
May you RIP, Don. I'll never forget that voice from all those movie trailers. -_-;;

And he was the host of Dib's favorite show, Mysterious Mysteries on Invader ZIM (http://www.esnips.com/nsdoc/1ff2aeb7-adc5-4848-b8a0-255f6f4c1c52/?action=forceDL.avi). He was charicatured as an eccentric African American who was trying desperately to save the show--and his job--from going down. XD

"In a world where" we lose more and more greats, Don was one of those often-uncredited talents, despite his recognizable voice.

That is so sad, I just saw a big news story on his life not long before he died to...it seemed like he was finally starting to get credit for all he did and then he was gone ;.;
They were talking about how many thousands of movies he did to...basically, if it was a guys voice on the trailer it was him nine times out of ten..he did all sorts of movies...

And as said, he's the host of Mysterious Mysteries (http://www.siberkat.com/requests/r97mystmyst.wav) within the IZ (http://smithsbluebook.com//invaderzimtheme.mp3) franchise.
