has anyone ever used this liquid latex to make puppets?

If so, is this okay to use on foam or nylon, when making puppets?

John Kennedy's last puppet making book "Puppet Planet" http://www.amazon.com/Puppet-Planet-Amazing-Puppet-Making-Universe/dp/1581807945/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1219970791&sr=8-1 has a project involving this kind of liquid latex. It involves brushing layers of it on a small plaster mold to get a hollow masklike face for a monkey puppet. I use it mostly to dip foam in it for animal noses or paws.

Mold Builder tends to peel off in layers for some reason. I'd recommend Monster Maker's Mask Latex (http://www.monstermakers.com/product/RD407-Mask-Latex-for-Halloween-Masks-and-Props.html) which you can use in a mold or brush on to foam.

I have another question about Mold Builder does anyone know if you could paint over it without doing damage?

Hi Muppetfan89,
You can add Acrylic paint to the latex to color it. As well as "All tint" which is water base and can be purchased at most paint stores in small tubes or in 16 and 32 oz. bottles. Just mix to your liking. Just to let you know it does dry darker than what it looks like wet.
Hope this helps,

Mike
