It's here! I love the Olympics, it's very Muppety (http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Muppet_Magazine_issue_24) to me too. So root here for your country (Go USA!), keep everyone updated on events and post your national pride.
Currently it's the "Parade of Nations", my favorite part. :)

I actually teared up while watching that little boy who walked with the Chinese team and hearing about his story. That's an inspiration!
Go USA and go everyone! I'm rooting for the little nations that only have one or two people competing. I like rooting for the underdog.
I really loved the artistic portion of the opening ceremony. It was amazing.

If you live in the US, you can keep track of the medal numbers here: http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/index.html
The Opening Ceremonies always make me cry. I hope the small nations with, like, 2 athletes can win something. But, of course, go USA! USA USA USA! :D

Watched a tiny bit of the cycling and some of the rowing (not America's forté, but we didn't do terrible either). The stadiums and tracks China have built are beautiful.

I just got through watching the men's swimming and with 4 members on the team and 4 laps for each team member, USA won the gold and beat the world record in less than 7 minutes to complete the race. Wow, wow, wow............

I watched women's sychronised diving early this morning. China rocked. They were so in sync, ... they could have been robots.

I want to know the workout and training and the kinds of foods these people eat that are in the olympics.

Well, we don't force our athletes to be sequestered from their families and their lives, so they can do better at the games, so people can forget about the attrocities they've committed in the last year.
Sorry to keep bringing it up, but it seems to me that China is the "Really Rottens" in this olympiad (If you've seen Scooby's Laff-a-lympics, you know what I mean).

Did I hear that the women's Chinese gymnastic team somehow hid the true ages of their athletes and are too young, technically making it illegal they competed, and hence should not have won the gold medal?
I saw some of the swimming and it's crazy! People keep beating the world records, is there ever going to be a point where they just CAN'T swim any faster?
And the synchronized diving was awesome.
