A little late I'm afraid (Sunday, apparently), but I just found out that Ivan Dixon died.

A lot of people might recognize him as Kinch from Hogan's Heroes, some might even recognize him as Lonnie from the movie CarWash.

But Dixon was also a director, directing for such television series as The Waltons, Magnum P.I., Quantum Leap, The 'A' Team, Trapper John M.D., The Rockford Files, Wonder Woman, and Starsky and Hutch to name a few.

As an actor, Dixon was pretty groundbreaking, as he got his start in the 1950s, back during a time where most people you saw on television and in movies were white, and was even active in the effort for colored people to get better roles in show business (back in the day).
