"The N" goes 24/7 Next Year

Well, I recently saw a commercial on tv showing how The N(Noggins teen block), will be moving to a different channel, and becoming it's own 24/7 network. Now, if anyone remembers, The N is part of the reason we lost all the CTW...oops...I mean Sesame Workshop:rolleyes: shows in the first place. So could this mean with Noggin hopefully becoming it's own network again, we can start seeing classic shows like Sesame Unpaved, The Electric Company, and 123 Sesame again?:concern:

I wouldn't count on it - Noggin USED to be co-owned by Sesame Workshop and Nickelodeon/Viacom, but now, it's COMPLETELY owned by Viacom, hence why they only air Nick Jr. shows on Noggin.

Not only that, but it's been disclaimed that earlier Sesame Street episodes will not meet the educational requirements of today's preschoolers.

I concur!Ditto, but as to the comment said earlier...The show is mindless trash now!Corporations & Elmo-obsessed children apparently--just like Oscar--"love trash" (http://members.tripod.com/Tiny_Dancer/ilovetrash.mp3). Except that Oscar's is the good trash befitting his grouchy character--which the current executives say wouldn't've been made if the idea for Oscar were actually pitched nowadays--whereas the rest is drivel to make kids think that there's actually a utopian society (which there's not, but the current Street certainly tries to make itself seem prestine perfect) and to essentially talk down to children via Elmo's World (for as popular as he is, when he talks to Dorothy, to a baby, and then eventually does the stupid sing-a-along, he's actually making children seem dumber if they buy into his selling plot).

Look at a dictionary. Look up the term "Dumbed Down" and the fifth synonym would be "Nick Jr.'s line up." Little Bill is the only show on that network that I respect, since it is Bill Cosby, after all.

Ha-ha. Well, to be fair, Degrassi: TNG really isn't that awful a show, it's just so bad that it's funny (though nowadays the new episodes are so bad that there bad). But I could pretty much live without all the other stuff besides K&K and the 80's stuff. They could at least put a few Nick GAS shows on just for a good variety and where's "All That"? Where's "Clarissa Explains It All"? Where's "Pete & Pete"? I think teens would be more willing to watch those than this current crap.

Actually, that was kinda of funny. Very anticlimactic. "You are watching Nickelodeon Gas..... uh... you were watching Nickelodeon Gas."

Anyway, I said it before, and I'll say it again. Why, oh why does everything have to be made for Tweens and Teens lately? it's like the kids have grown up, and no one exists between age 5 and age 10.
