I downloaded a Gonzo ringtone for my cellphone tonight, and a question popped into my head... did Dave Goelz actually sit down and record these? The voice sounds a bit off, and I was kind of curious.

Where did you download it from?

If it is one of the official Muppet ringtones (such as these (http://www.muppetsmobile.co.uk/)), then yes it is actually Dave Goelz. Dave, Steve, Bill and Eric recorded a whole bunch of voice tones back around 2005.

I got mine through my cell-phone provider's download site. I checked the link you provided, and it matches what they have there. I was just concerned because the voice just seemed kind of off pitch for Goelz.

Why is it everyone always sounds different on the phone? :confused:

I never knew about these. Cool, but I don't think they work with Sprint. :o The first time I've been unhappy with my provider.
