Feel free to discuss the questions and answers as time goes along.

Usual trivia game rules apply: The question is asked, the correct response gets to ask the next question.

What guest star of the Muppet Show helped write the script, even though the plot was the guest star didn't want to be on the show?

Gloat
08-16-2007, 03:11 PM
random guess....

Bob Hope

theprawncracker
08-16-2007, 03:19 PM
Oh! I know! It was John Cleese! :D

Fozzie Bear
08-18-2007, 04:05 PM
Cleese is correct! You can ask the question next, Prawnie.

Bob Hope was on tour and couldn't do the whole show, so they could only do a few spots of him for the show that he appeared on. So, close.

theprawncracker
08-18-2007, 04:07 PM
*thinks* Umm... What is the last thrill ride Beauregard takes Miss Piggy on at Walt Disney World in "The Muppets at Walt Disney World" special?

ZootyCutie

Okay,

In what order did Zoot's skin change color? (what came first, second, ect.)

MrsPepper
08-24-2007, 09:41 AM
I'm not sure how many times it changed colour, but I know it was teal, then a darker green.

SgtGonzoPepper
08-25-2007, 10:10 PM
It was gray, then it was blue, then green, and now its blue again.

ZootyCutie
08-26-2007, 07:54 AM
It was gray, then it was blue, then green, and now its blue again.

That's right! Your turn to do one, SgtGonzoPepper!

SgtGonzoPepper
08-26-2007, 09:08 AM

Barry Lee
08-26-2007, 11:34 AM
her name was Amy i believe.

Beauregard
08-26-2007, 11:54 AM
Yes, it was Amy the Dancing Brick. Aww...I feel so sad just thinking about that world. Don't mind me, I'll just be over here sobbing my heart out.

SgtGonzoPepper
08-26-2007, 12:26 PM
Yep its Barry lees turn now

Barry Lee
08-26-2007, 01:16 PM
Okay, in this 1982 film, Jim Henson recorded an audio clip announcing this fictional character as a guest star on "The Muppet Show", you know "Its the Muppet Show starring,...." Who was this fictional character? And who played this fictional character as well?

Beauregard
08-26-2007, 01:25 PM
Oh oh oh! It was Rocky! And it was Silvester Stalone (sp?), right?

Beauregard
08-29-2007, 06:14 AM
I'm going to assume I'm right so the game can continue, someone correct me if it's wrong.

Who was the first Muppet seen in The Muppet Movie?

Beakerfan
08-31-2007, 03:28 PM
Oo! It was Doglion!

Beauregard
08-31-2007, 05:27 PM
Ding-dong, you're right. Your go!

Beakerfan
08-31-2007, 05:55 PM

I had no idea that was Steve.. very interesting.. nice Question!

maniacal muppet
01-04-2008, 09:07 AM
Can someone make a new question? This looks fun :)

kermiegirl
01-14-2008, 07:12 PM
I think I have a question for you. Its really tough, so you may need to think about it: Sesame Street has tackled the toughest issues like birth, death, adoption and marriage. In the episode that never aired, what issue did they try to discuss?

maniacal muppet
01-15-2008, 05:15 AM
Divorce! With Snuffy! Right?

kermiegirl
01-15-2008, 05:56 AM
Yep. It's your turn to ask a question now.

maniacal muppet
01-15-2008, 09:08 AM
Whose head was stuck in a light fixture in an At The Dance sketch on TMS?

tutter_fan
01-15-2008, 12:02 PM
(Ringin sound) was it Mildred Huxtetter?

Am I right?

kermiegirl
01-15-2008, 07:56 PM
Yeah. It's your turn now.

Ruahnna
01-15-2008, 08:55 PM
What song was song by Miss Piggy and two different female co-stars--one on The Muppet Show and one on Muppets Tonight?

(No fair looking on muppet wiki!)

kermiegirl
01-16-2008, 04:49 AM
Was it "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend?"

maniacal muppet
01-16-2008, 09:13 AM
Yep- Piggy and Carol Channing on TMS and then Piggy and Whoopi G. on MT!

kermiegirl
01-16-2008, 02:02 PM
Yea! Okay, here is my question:
What were the names of the ventriloquist dummies - one on The Muppet Show and one on Muppets Tonight?
This should be pretty easy.

The Count
01-16-2008, 02:06 PM
Answer: Chucky from Fozzie's act in the Edgar Berghan TMS episode and Gary Cahuenga from Muppets Tonight.

kermiegirl
01-16-2008, 02:11 PM
You are correct!
I should have expected someone like maniacal muppet to answer this, but I guess I was wrong. You now have the privilege to ask a question.
By the way, it's Bergan not Berghan.

The Count
01-16-2008, 02:23 PM
Oops. Sorry about that, you take the next turn.

kermiegirl
01-16-2008, 04:11 PM
Are you sure you don't want to ask a question?

maniacal muppet
01-17-2008, 09:11 AM
Haha, thanks Kermiegirl. I've been studyin for midterms a lot and I only got the e-mail notice about an post to this thread a minute ago. I was just thinkin about the answer too... :)

The Count
01-17-2008, 10:13 AM
Nah... You go ahead and post the next one KG. But thanks.
BTW: KG = Kermie's Girl, a fabulous fanfictional story written and posted by Ruahnna in the FanFiction & FanArt section.

kermiegirl
01-17-2008, 05:14 PM
I might see that story sometime. Anyway, here comes the question:
What episode dealt with the Muppets appearing and disappearing?
(Hint: This is in Season 2.)

Fragglemuppet
01-17-2008, 05:34 PM
Was it Elton John?

maniacal muppet
01-17-2008, 07:00 PM
Orrr.... was it Peter sellers?

kermiegirl
01-17-2008, 07:28 PM
Maniacal Muppet got it right. It's your turn now!

maniacal muppet
01-18-2008, 09:25 AM
YAY!

Ok, which wasn't a thing mentioned in Gonzo's Song "Jamboree"?
a- Penguins throwing peanuts
b- Rats floating on baloons
c- Chocolate Cake
d- Pigs drinking tea

kermiegirl
01-18-2008, 02:02 PM
Is it penguins throwing peanuts?
In "Jamboree", there were penguins throwing popcorn - not peanuts - rats floating by on pink balloons, a singing chocolate cake and pigs drinking lemon tea.
Am I right?

maniacal muppet
01-19-2008, 07:53 AM
Haha, yep. yer turn :)

kermiegirl
01-19-2008, 08:37 AM
Okay. Here is my question:
What was the name of John Cleese's fictional album?

kermiegirl
01-22-2008, 02:17 PM
Okay. Here is my question:
What was the name of John Cleese's fictional album?

Okay, since no one will answer the question, I will do a new one:
On "The Muppet Show", what did Beaker and Animal sing that made the audience disappointed?
(Hint: This was in Season 4)

maniacal muppet
01-22-2008, 04:11 PM
That was "Feelings", right?

And what was the name of Cleese's album?

kermiegirl
01-22-2008, 06:23 PM
Yes. The answer to the Cleese question was "John Cleese: A Man And His Music". Someone should have known that. It's your turn now.

maniacal muppet
01-23-2008, 09:15 AM
Haha, gotcha.

Ok, what was the name of Tutter's teacher on Bear In The Big Blue House?

kermiegirl
01-23-2008, 02:03 PM
Was it Miss Maxwell?

maniacal muppet
01-24-2008, 07:07 PM
Yep. Yer turn

kermiegirl
01-24-2008, 07:44 PM
Okay, here is my question. This is going to be a sort of tough one so you might need to look it up on Muppet Wiki. Here it is:
What is Snore Pie with Yawn Sauce?

Gonzo14
01-25-2008, 12:06 AM
a postcard from Traveling Matt?

Pork
01-25-2008, 01:33 AM
I pretty sure that's right. haha, I love that quote. I it use all the time.

kermiegirl
01-25-2008, 05:37 AM
You're correct. Do you know what episode it came from because I had no idea what it was in the first place. Anyway, it's your turn, Gonzo14.

Pork
01-25-2008, 06:06 AM
You're correct. Do you know what episode it came from because I had no idea what it was in the first place. Anyway, it's your turn, Gonzo14.

I'll have to get back to you. I watched it a while ago but I forget which episode it's from. It's from season two though. I can tell you that.

kermiegirl
01-27-2008, 12:53 PM
Do you want to do the question, Gonzo14 or can I do it for you?

Gonzo14
01-29-2008, 12:10 AM
go for it, i can't think of a question

kermiegirl
01-29-2008, 05:04 AM
Okay.
What was the name of the special that featured a tiger named Rugby, a catnip toy named Mew and a rag doll named Raisin?

maniacal muppet
01-29-2008, 05:10 AM
Err, actually, the special "The Christmas Toy" featured Apple as the main doll, and Rasin was in the series "The Secret Life of Toys".

kermiegirl
01-29-2008, 03:27 PM
I can accept both answers. I kind of messed up on the dolls name. Sorry about that. Your turn now.

maniacal muppet
01-30-2008, 05:26 AM
Haha, no problem. OK now....

Which of the 3 puppets that were going to be made by the company Ideal Toys wasn't actually produced?

(I'd give choices, but then it'd be obvious.)

BabyScooter
01-30-2008, 11:52 AM

kermiegirl
01-31-2008, 02:00 PM
Okay, here is my question:
List all of the celebrities from "The Muppet Movie" in order of appearance.
Good luck!

maniacal muppet
01-31-2008, 02:05 PM
Hmmm... Ok, do Max and Doc count? and if they are repeated in the film, should they be mentioned?

kermiegirl
01-31-2008, 08:47 PM
They are repeated in the film, so I think you should count them only once. Not only do you have to list the celebrities in order of appearance, you also have to tell me what their character is. I hope you get it now, maniacal muppet.

maniacal muppet
02-02-2008, 12:56 PM

True or false: Latina Muppeteer Carmen Osbahr has performed a Muppet within the main group (Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, etc.).

kermiegirl
02-05-2008, 05:49 AM

The Liza Minelli episode was nominated twice, winning once.. The Beverly Sills, Alan Arkin, & Brooke Shields episodes also got two nominations each

Umm ... OK ...

What is the name of Ruthie's thrift store?
BONUS: In what other highly influential TV show was the actress who plays Ruthie featured?

The Count
02-21-2008, 11:53 AM
Well... The name of Ruthie's shop was Finders Keeper's. (Which was also the name of a classic game show). Ruth Buzzi was also one of the main/star members of the cast of Rowan's & Martin's Laugh-In.

maniacal muppet

Well there's....
-Rowlf the Dog- Sesame Pitch reel and Muppet productions
-Beautiful day Monster- Sesame and The Muppet show
-The Gnu- From the "I'm a Gnu" song on the Muppet Show and reused recently in a song on Sesame

And several times, sesame characters appeared on The Muppet Show. there are more, I'd just have to think about it :) Try lookin on Muppet wiki.

This hard question comes from a really old SS sketch and it's sort of related to the Muppets, so here it comes:
As I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives and every wife had seven sacks. Every sack had seven cats and every cat had seven kittens. Kittens, cats, sacks, wives, how many were going to St. Ives? Really think about this one.
BONUS: Who was buried in Grants tomb?
I know these are generic brain-solving problems, but don't worry. I will come back to Muppet questions after this one.

eleneezdad
03-02-2008, 03:56 PM
?how many were going to St. Ives?

kermiegirl
03-03-2008, 05:44 AM

maniacal muppet

I'm sure that BDM appeared on the Ed Sullivan show (Which I think was earlier), I also think that he was in a few commercials- not too sure though.

But, Cookie Monster was on there too, in the "Monster and Machine" sketch. A proto-Cookie also appeared in a few commercials. :insatiable:

There are also some others that I know of, such as Splurge and the Snerfs that were around for Sesame and other early works.

Kuriboh Man
