That's weird Ryan, because the Internet Movie Database (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Ozker,+Eren) lists Ms. Ozker as having passed away due to complications of the AIDS virus.
Strange
- Billy
Yeah, I noticed it to...but I tend not to trust IMDB a lot...I mean they said "Captain Smollet" is starring in AVMCM, And the supposed "Jim Henson Photo Gallery", is simply a picture of a bearded guy winning an award! I mean, the guy's not even close to Jim!

True, the IMDB is quite often wrong, so your site may be correct :)

Eren Ozker is a Turk like me. And I am proud to see her name in the credits of Muppet Show.
I am trying hard to get more information about her. I reached one of her sisters and asked her help.
When you make a photo search on google.com (http://images.google.com (http://images.google.com/)) a photo of a woman can be found. When you go to the site, the photo is missing. I am not sure whether she is Eren Ozker or not but there is one photo.
I asked from her sister a photo of Miss Eren. If I manage to get it, I will post it here.
Information must be shared!
And I am just sharing it! :)
Warrick, I was not a regular watcher of Susam Sokagi. Because it was a child's program.
By the way, I happened to find a page on BBC.co.uk saying Pentagon was supporting Sesame Street to expand American culture everywhere. What do you think?
I made a research on cheetahs and Anatolians shepherd dogs in Namibia. Your postal stamps display wild animals, eh? :)
Thanks so much! It's good to see another Eren fan! she deserved more credit. BTW, that is my site, and it is not Eren Ozker. It's Fran Brill, performer of Prarie Dawn. I THINK I found a pic of her in The Works, performing Scooter in a big TMM scene. Only her head and eyes can be seen, the rest of her is concealed by a puppeteer and puppet. I'll go look at it, and try to scan it for you. Warrick, I sent it to you a while back, you got it?
BTW, the top of her head can be seen in a Muppet Show episode! In the Vendaface skit on the Kaye Ballard ep. You can see her reflection in Vendaface's bottom mirror.

In Ideefixe.com, I found that item:
http://www.ideefixe.com/kitap/tanim.asp?sid=DTXY4CT8XK1ZOTCC5XL3
It is a book by a foreigner yet its title is Susam Sokagi.
Maybe that helps.

Thanks!
Although that is just an American Coloring Book with Turkish translation.
Do you know if there were ever any videos available to buy?
And does it still air on Turkish TV?
thanks

I don't think Susam Sokagi video are available in Turkish market. If it is not in Ideefixe.com, it is not. Yet, if I happen to find any stuff related to S.S., I will let you know.
And the show has not been on air for a really long time.

I would be pleased if Phillip could send them to me, too. I do not have them, even though I am the person who unearthed those pictures from the place they were buried.
Wait, I'm confused. So you're saying you sent the pictures to Phil, and them deleted them on your computer?
Levent Goktem

Images were scanned by a friend of Denise Ozker and that guy directly emailed them to Phillip.
Neither Denise, nor I received them. [I really do not know why.]
Phillip is the only person who has them. Last Sunday, I requested him to sent them to me if possible, yet I did not received any reply since then. I hope he is okay.
Looks like we'll have to wait a while...

Did you guys ever get the info and pictures you wanted? If not, I may be of some help. Eren and I were good friends in high school, although we did not keep in touch afterwards. BTW, yes, her father was Turkish and her mother British, so she had dual citizenship. However, she was raised in the US and graduated in 1966 from North Farmington High School in Farmington, MI. Not surprisingly, she was voted "Most Talented" in our class--a wonderful actress. I remember seeing her picture in TIME magazine in the seventies--she was appearing in AMADEUS on Broadway and got a nice review.
I probably have my old high school yearbook around somewhere, including photos of Eren as Anne Sullivan and on the debate team. And if I had a copy of the "mystery Photo" that you aren't sure is her, I could identify her--even though I hadn't seen her in years, she was quite striking and distinctive.

Wow, if you could help us out (Me and Warrick) I would DEEPLY apprieciate it! If you can't find pictures, can you at least describe what she looked like?
Thanks so much! And, if you CAN scan them, please send them to my email ryan200012@netscape.net, or Warrick. I'm sure he'll tell you his email ;)

I will look for the yearbook--not absolutely sure I still have it. But if not, you could certainly contact NFHS and see if they have a copy in their archives. There will be quite a few pix of Eren (age 17 or so, of course), since she was in THE MIRACLE WORKER, in forensics, voted Most Talented, and graduated that year (1966). You might also check archives of photos from the Broadway production of AMADEUS. If I recall correctly, there was indeed a tiny photo of Eren onstage in costume in the TIME review--not sure how well you can see her. You might also check her date of decease and see if the Farmington Hills, MI local papers had an obituary with photo around that time. You mention her sister Denise; she also had a sister named Suzan who was a year or two older than Eren.
So--what did she look like? Eren was a tall girl, probably about 5'9", and large boned (by that, I mean large-boned--not "fat"). She had very straight dark brown hair, chin to shoulder length, and always wore bangs. She had a light olive complexion and a rather aquiline nose. Her most striking feature: she had beautiful light green eyes, which were more noticeable because of her dark brows, hair and complexion. We had several classes together, including Advanced English. She was very smart, very funny, and a good writer. And one of those rare people that was kind to everyone and loved by everyone.
I actually found your site because I was looking up Eren on Google. I am not a big Muppet fan; I just had been wondering what she had done with her life--if she had gone on from the Broadway work I knew she had done. I did not know she had passed away. It was good to see that she had a successful career and that so many people enjoyed her talents.
Thank you so much! You're really helping us out!! Let me know if you find the yearbook.
I just found another puppet TV show she worked on called Miss Peach of The Kelly School. I think she performs two of the puppets (I'm positive she performs one, not sure on the other.)
Agian, thanks so much!
BTW, If I were to make audio clips of the characters I think she performs in this show, would you be able to tell if it was her or not?

I might be able to identify her voice--although it could be difficult since she would have altered it for the characters. As I said, I am not a big Muppet fan. I did not know until recently that Eren worked with the Muppets, so I can't recall making any connections with characters I may have seen/heard. Although someone mentioned she was Turkish, she was raised in the US and her mom was British--she did not have any sort of accent that could be identified.
If I have the yearbook, it is packed away in a box somewhere, and I won't have time to look for it until the weekend. I am a university professor, just got back from a Spring Break trip, and I have a lot of catching up and obligations during the week. Just wanted to let you know not to expect a definitive answer before then. I do have a scanner at home and will send you the photos if I find them.

Hi 'Just Me',
Thank you very much for all this help!
I am workin with Ryan on the Tribute to Eren, and I think its great that you are giving your time to help us!
I find it really crazy that she didnt have an Accent, I always thought she would have had quite a distinct accent!
Thanks again

Well . . . some people think us Midwesterners have an accent, although our "accent" is the one the announcers in the US all copy because it is so neutral. I guess everybody was fooled by the fact that Eren's birthplace is listed as Ankara, Turkey. But she grew up mostly in Michigan. I'm pretty sure she went on to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor after high school. If she finished her degree there, she would have been in the Class of 1970. That's another venue you might contact for a yearbook photo--or she may have been in some plays there, too, since she was so good in high school drama. If I find the H.S. yearbook, there is a photo of her rehearsing for the role of Anne Sullivan (Helen Keller's teacher) in THE MIRACLE WORKER.

Hello All,
After 2 years, do we have an Eren Ozker tribute page?
Infinity Sirius

I looked at the Vendaface skit on the Kaye Ballard episode and I could not see Eren Ozker's face at all. Did anyone else see her?
After reading about everyone collecting bits and pieces of Eren's life I realized that I had (somewhere) a rather unconventional souvenier. I had phoned her several times during her last weeks, and again after she had passed to offer condolences to the family. Understandably, I often times just got her machine, and Eren's voice was still on the outgoing message. I knew it would be replaced soon, so I made a personal copy of it.
I was always taken by her voice, and never understood why she didn't persue a career in voice-over. She had no noticable accent to my ear, just a beautiful, rich actress's voice. Solid, dramatic with a slight hint of humor behind it.
Please keep me up on the tribute site and any photos that are found.
