Your Ideas for Muppets Movie Figures

Hey guys,
Now I know this seems like I'm copying off of James' new thread, and I kind of am, but this thread is specifically for movie related figures. Since there is no doubt in my mind that Palisades' Muppet Show line will do well, and that they will be granted the rights to movie action figures. Some of these ideas I've posted in the past. The list includes some reissued figures (mostly in the Muppet Movie sets) so that those who are just starting could have a close to complete set of characters. The backdrop pieces I list as accessories are from the final scene in the Muppet Movie where they put up the backdrop for their "movie". The six pieces would link to form a completed "set". Note: each set piece would be included with a reissued figure, so you only have to rebuy the figures if you want the set piece. Also, unless a figure says (reissue), assume it's a new sculpt.

I feel that the Muppet Movie series should be somewhat more abreviated because most of the figures have already been released. I also hope Pepe comes before any of the movie figures. This is a general idea of what I think deserve rentirely new sculpts and sets. Some things have been left out, but it may be unrealistic to have every scene represented.

These are just my ideas because I see the movie line as a suppliment for the regular figures.

I think that we might be seeing a Muppet Babies figure line soon, Because Ken was trying to get the rights for them.

But i personally would like to see a Fraggle Rock line first.

And if they are going to make a Muppet Babies line then i hope they are based on the Muppets Take Manhattan Babies, and not the Cartoon.
But then again, If they based it on the cartoon we could probably get Baby Bean, Baby Janie, Baby Skeeter and Baby Robin !

The GIANT Animal could actually be a modern puppet for sale (better than the one you find on EBay) to be purchased seperately from the set. The lab could be Bunsen, Beaker, and the giant prune!

I like giant prunes, but not giant prudes.

I really hope that nothing more is done with the Muppet Babies. They really took over the Muppets' identity the second half of the 80s' and they were only a tiny part of The Muppets Take Manhattan. Fraggle Rock really is the way to go IMHO!

Yeah, Muppet Babies took away the Muppet Image as we know it, evidenced by the fact that many people refer to them AS the Muppets instead of TMS.

Kinda like most kids didn't know that Leonardo, Michaelangelo and a few others were artists, not turtles.

That irks me.

I'd prefer Fraggle figures over Muppet Babie figures as well. Alot of Muppet Babies merchandise was already made It also bothers me that many people don't know the difference between the Muppets and Muppet Babies. Also just like how some people don't know the difference between the Muppets and Sesame Street.

With the recent success of the return of G.I. JOE, He-Man, and Transfomrers, a Muppet Babies line would be a great idea plus there that whole pre-school market .
