While I love every single Fraggle, I can't help but hold a special place in my heart for Boober. He's just so unique compared to all the other Fraggles. Yes, yes, every Fraggle is an individual, but I mean look! All the Fraggles love to party and sing and just have fun, but Boober is all about solitude, and doing mundane and boring things. And when has children's television had a character that was so paranoid and obsessed with death... and laundry! And just look at him! He's so adorable with his little hat, and the way his hair is so floofy, and his TIE (it's not a scarf! It's a TIE! A tie I SAY!). And he gets some the best and funniest lines too. (Le sigh) Honestly, I'd marry Boober... if only he would take me.

I'll have to agree with TidusEstar when it comes to the whole Cantus thing, I mean come on guys, he is so a fraggle! Just because he's a Minstrel doesn't mean he's not a Fraggle, I mean Mokey was almost a Minstrel and I think we all agree that she is a Fraggle. Cantus is just very wise and mysterious. Oh how I love him! But when it comes to favorite character, yes I do love all of them very much and there isn't one that I don't like. I'd have to say Wembley is my favorite. I'm sorry, I love wimps! What can I say?

I kinda like the fact that we don't really know for certain what Cantus is. He looks like a fraggle but those feathers on his head kinda throw it off. Maybe he's a different race of fraggle. :)

It's not because Cantus is a Minstrel that I don't think he's a Fraggle. I mean, look at all the other Minstrels. They're all certainly not Fraggles, but they're not the same kind of creature that Cantus is. I think Minstrels can be any kind of creature, as long as they've got the music flowing through their veins.

I think Cantus isn't a Fraggle simply based on looks. Some Fraggles do have hair on their faces, but they're faces aren't furry like Cantus'. And yeah, that whole feather thing. What's the deal with that? Personally, I don't think he looks a thing like a Fraggle. I think he's just an unknown creature... possibly the last of his species! Who knows? That's just one of the great mysteries of Cantus.

Welp, time to answer this question... again. (Now where did I answer this question last? :confused: ) Anyhow, here's my favorite Fraggles: Gobo, Wembley, and Cantus.

Here are the ones I like, in no particular order:
Wembley, because he's the most energetic and goofy.
Boober, especially when he lets Sidebottom out.
Travelling Matt, because he's hilariously conceited and clumsy.
Feeny, because he sounds like the Trash Heap.
Gillis, because he is the Rock's own Don Music. :D Good ol' Richard.
Beige Cave Fraggle, because he has a good side which, unfortunately, he isn't allowed to show.

Um...yeah...its sad the Fraggle gang hasnt been seen in years. Maybe one of these days folks will get to see the true brillaince of the show. Fraggle Rock is light years ahead of 99.%(or maybe 100%) of any children's shows of the last decade to present.

If only it had been shown on non cable tv in th e80's, and had continued a few years more. *sigh*

I See Fraggle Rock like Friends. Ya got Wembley who is a little Chandler like. Ya got Mokey who is kind of esoteric/new agey like Phobebe. You got Boober who is a bit like Ross...kind of a doubter. Red is kind of likeRachel...Gobo a bit like Joey...very confident. And then Madam Trash heap is like Monica, before she lost the weight^_^

Speaking of the Friends/Fraggle connection, in the fall of 1999 Chandler even referenced 'Fraggle Rock', one of only a few times in entertainment Fraggle Rock has been referenced. Also over the years Friends has had the most Muppet related references in it...that Im surprised they havent had a Muppet guest start yet;)

I never really thought of that one before, but I always thought Boober was a closet homosexual. I mean for one he's tidy, but the main reason is in that episode "I Don't Care" after he knocks out Wembley he's all... lovey dovey towards Wembley. Especially at the end "I don't care about my blanket... I care about Wembley." XD GODS! (And there were other moments in other episodes too, but I haven't seen FR in the LONGEST and this is the only one that's coming clearly to my mind)

But they can hide in the closet together. XD

I've always felt that Red could be a gay fraggle. Although... in a way, they all seem like they could be open-minded in that respect. To be honest though, Boober doesn't strike me as a closet fraggle. He had is eyes set on Tosh anyway.

I've always felt Gobo would eventually wind up with Red. As far as Gobo being gay, he seems to pre-occupied with following his uncle's footsteps to entertain that thought very often. He asked Wembley in the episode with Lou Fraggle ( I can't recall the title. " We Love You Wembley "? ) what Wembley wanted with all that " romance stuff ".

I could see Mokey swinging both ways. Wembley's a tough call though. To me, he's just too young to make a judgement.

Just because Red's a tomboy doesn't make her a lesbian. I mean, I'm a tomboy, and I'm sure not gay.

Anyhow, my favorite fraggles are Boober and Mokey, because they're both a lot like me, since I'm very artsy and worry a lot.

Hmmm...interesting observations, but I can't buy into 'em. :smirk: I'm a huge fan of both shows (been with "Friends" since the beginning), but those are very loose match-ups. For one, Red is more like Jo on "The Facts of Life", and hardly like Rachel at all---Rachel's closer to Miss Piggy, the "primpy princess" who indulges in femininity and lives on $$$. lol :p (yes, I know Miss Piggy's not a fraggle, lol, but she seems to be the nearest Muppet match-up, though definitely not 100%).

And Wembley is innocently child-like and kid brotherish, whereas Chandler relies on sarcasm---somethin' of which Wembley doesn't even know the concept. Actually, I'd say Chandler is closer to Boober---they're both extremely insecure, and Boober actually does utilize sarcasm at times.

My favorite fraggle was Boober. I liked his hat, and when I was little I thought it was so nice of him to do laundry for everyone else. That kind of inspired me to be more helpful around the house when I was little and so then on I helped do the laundry for everyone in the family. That habit poured over into college, when I did laundry for my roommate because he was so busy working and studying he didn't have time for that. I didn't have to work then since the state was paying my tuition, so it was a little easier for me than it was him.

Still do laundry today...oh I also liked Uncle Traveling Matt. And Sprocket the dog. They should make (or should have made) Doozer snacks. You build 'em then eat 'em. Would work a lot better than radishes. I once took a big bite out of a whole radish when I was little. If it was good enough for the Fraggles...well...didn't taste too good to my tiny kid taste buds. Darn ol' Fraggles.

My most favorite Fraggle was/is Mokey. I loved her when I was a kid, and I ended up being someone intensely drawn to art and poetry-both reading it, and writing it, and creating. *go figure!*

I also liked the little Doozers alot-I don't really know why, I just thought they were cute and made such cool things. I always felt kind of sorry for them when the Fraggles would eat their buildings...

Good grief, it's taken me long enough to get around to this...

Of all the Fraggles, Gobo is my favorite favorite. In fact, he's my favorite of my favorites (if that makes any sense). It's been that way since the first time I saw Fraggle Rock on TV (of which there only exists wisps of memory in my mind now). I admired his curiosity and his adventerous spirit. And it didn't hurt that his hair happened to be my favorite color ;)

Mokey is another of my favorites because we have similar personalities. We're both artistic-minded people, although I think Mokey has an easier time of expressing her creativity than I do!

Finally my third favorite would have to be Gillis, aka the Maestro. As Boober_Gorg said, he's the Rock's own Don Music :D Gillis also reminds me of another of Richard's characters, the Wild Impresario, in a way. He's very passionate about his music. And I still can't get the idea out of my head that Gillis used to be a Minstrel himself, and ended up staying at Fraggle Rock to lead the Fraggles in their music.

1)Mokey:quiet,positive,mediator of the group in a oneness kind of way(yes like a tree hugging hippie,lol).
2)Red:energetic,jealous,spunky,spontaneous.
3)Wembley:neurotic,wired,energetic,he Wembled.
4)Boober:pessimistic,grouchy,cool.
5)Gobo:optimistic,spontaneous on going to new places,energetic,group leader.

Ok to advoid arguement how about he's half Fraggle half somethign else. ;) Just to make things interesting how about this for a thought. His mother was a Fraggle and His father was soem other creature. That way it would explaine why he looks so differnt. Just along shot. :)
