Another Burton-Depp film!

Yep, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are working together again. The pair who brought us Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory are now at work on an adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd.

Depp will play the title role, and the supporting cast includes Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Alan Rickman and Sacha Baron Cohen. The film is slated to open in early 2008.

What about The Corpse Bride? Didn't they do that? I don't know if he was in Nightmare Before Christmas, but I'll look it up. How cool is THAT? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wasn't that bad of a movie. Very creepy.

I've been psyched for this for so long. The cast also includes Christopher Lee, Timothy Spall, and Anthony Stewart Head, who fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer know as Giles. He's also a very talented singer/songwriter.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Depp and Bonham Carter were in Corpse Bride too. I think it came out a few months after Charlie.

Great that Burton is teaming up again with Chris Lee! I'm glad that Lee has gotten such great roles in the past few years.
