Hey gang, I thought this would be a perty groovy idea for a thread... It's slightly simelar to The Weekly Survey. Kinda. Anyways, every few days (once a day, maybe?) one of us, anyone, posts a link to one of those fun internet quizzes, and we all take it and share our results. The quiz can be about anything, really. From food to TV shows... or a fun cartoon personality quiz, y'know. So! What do you guys think, hm?

I've seen all the Bond movies several times, and have read all the books. It may seem a bit too early, but I do consider Daniel Craig as the best cinematic Bond to date. He's also very good in Layer Cake, which I believe was the movie that convinced the Bond producers to give him a go.

And yes, I'm a Timothy Dalton fan too. I think his Bond is terribly underrated. A lot of 007 fans claim Dalton was responsible for the 6-year gap between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye, but that's not true. Dalton was announced to make a third Bond film, to open in 1991, but there were some messy legal complications behind the scenes that had nothing to do with Dalton. In the interim, Dalton decided to move on, rather than wait for the legal issues to be done with. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't "ruin" the franchise, nor was he fired. He simply moved on to his next job and didn't look back.

Dalton was actually approached to play Bond in 1968, after Connery left, but at 22, he felt he was too young.

Dalton is also said to have read every Ian Fleming novel prior to his debut, to capture the tough, literary character as originally conceived by the author.

I enjoy reading fiction. Elmore Leonard, Thomas Pynchon, John D. MacDonald, Stephen King, Kurt Vonnegut (RIP), Lawrence Block, Mickey Spillane, Jim Thompson, James Ellroy and H.P. Lovecraft are just a few of my favorite authors, but I'll read anything.

If you look at my ever-growing bookshelf, however, most of my collection is made up of non-fiction. I have a lot of biographies and histories. I have too many books about film to count.

My idea of a fun time is browsing through bookstores.:)
