Does anyone else remember the skit with the song "Never Smile at a Crocodile". A few weeks ago we were watching Peter Pan & when the croc with a clock in him swam by, I found myself singing along , (even though in the movie there are no words, just that same tune). My husband asked where I got those words from & I told him that it was on the muppets. He thinks I am crazy & doesn't believe me. Can anyone help me? What episode was it from, who was in the skit? Thanks for any help.

I don't remember a muppet skit with that song...it was in the Movie You've Got Mail...perhaps that's where you heard it?

You're not crazy...or at least not wrong about hearing this done by the Muppets
That was done in the Sandy Duncan episode of The Muppet Show by Mary Louise (little girl Muppet that's kind of a Muppet Show version of Prairie Dawn) riding on the back of a crocodile through a swampful of frogs.

Thanks for reminding me - that song really sticks in your head. Now I'll be singing it all day again...

:sing: Never smile at a crocodile
No, you can't get friendly with a crocodile
Don't be taken in by his welcome grin
He's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin
Never smile at a crocodile
Never dip your hat and stop to talk awhile
Never run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day
Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile
You may very well be well bred
Lots ot etiquette in your head
But there's always some special case, time or place
To forget etiquette
For instance:
Never smile at a crocodile
No, you can't get friendly with a crocodile
Don't be taken in by his welcome grin
He's imagining how well you'd fit within his skin
Never smile at a crocodile
Never dip your hat and stop to talk awhile
Never run, walk away, say good-night, not good-day
Clear the aisle but never smile at Mister Crocodile
