Effraylo, since you know a lot about the Russian Sesame Street, I want to ask you these questions I've been wanting to know the answers to:

1)I heard from several sources that Ernie and Bert are actually part of the show(interacting in the Russian street scenes). Is(or was) this true?

2)I've heard about the CTW people and the Russian producers making decisions on which characters to use over there...they said that they couldnt use Oscar because they didnt want grouchy behavior to be promoted in their country. But then I did an Image search on Google for Ulitza Sesam and I actually found him on several video covers...I wonder if they mean A)they cant use him interacting with the Russian characters on the street, B)cant use the inserts from the American show that have him in it or C)Mostly choice a, but can still show him in American footage. And while we're on that, I read an article on Sesame Park(Canadian version) at Muppet Wiki and it said that Oscar was ommited from that...unless they mean the same as either A B or C?

1) Er.. No, they ain't a part of street scenes, they just changed their names to Yenik (Ernie) and Vlas (Bert) in our version.
2)Oscar also doesn't take a part in the street scenes, but he appears in translated inserts. I think, no one has anything against him. Plus, IMHO, Oscar is an important part of the show (no matter that he's a grump, I can still see his heart of gold), so they just couldn't ommit him.

I see...I do remember seeing some pictures from Sesamstrasse(Sesame Street in Germany) with Ernie and Bert in them. Curious about those.

Zelly's Zeliboba, right? I love the character's design... right up there with the green Monster from Japan, Moishe Oofnik from Israel, and Pancho from Mexico. I wish there was some way to get my hands on a plush of Zelly... but the import fees would kill me.

September is almost over and we haven't heard anything new about Plush Zelly. I'm sure it got pushed back just like everything else associated with Muppets, but maybe you've just been so busy enjoying your new toy!

They were here last year in Germany. Most of the episodes ended with them some where in Germany with Ernie playing some joke on Bert.

So there, folks: there are some fresh DVDs I wrote about in another thread (see "Ulitsa Sezam Season 4 DVD!").
And as for Zelly Plushie, looks like he's about to appear... Yet a bit later than was expected...
Just to give a tease/hint :), here's a photo of Plush Zel by Mattel. Sadly, he was avaliable only in 1999 in Moscow, and we had no way to order him! :cry: I think, the next Zeliboba will look somehow like this:
