As you all know, I promised that as soon as I'd seen X-Men: The Last Stand I would immediately get to working on a continuation to "The Great X-Muppet Caper" that heavily changes the continuity of the movie. Well, I've seen X-Men: The Last Stand and I'm really excited to share with you all my take on what happened.:)

Now, I have to warn everyone before you start reading that this story may contain spoilers. If you haven't seen X-Men: The Last Stand and don't want to be spoiled, then just wait, see the movie, and come back here to read the story.

Okay. On with the show....:)

Chapter Twelve

Twenty-Seven Years Ago

It was a quiet afternoon in the pleasant neighborhood in Queens, especially for a kind woman with green-striped stockings by the name of Nancy (often called “Nanny” by her friends), who ran a peaceful-but-large nursery for a small group of imaginative “Muppet Babies.” There were other children in the neighborhood that were playing in the streets; but they were careful not to get in the way of a car that had approached Nancy’s nursery that afternoon.

The car was driven by Erik Lehnsherr, a mutant-rights activist in his early-forties who was joining 39-year-old Charles Xavier (a fellow mutant-rights activist) as they decided to take a visit to Nancy’s nursery, in order to visit a child whom they both believed to be a mutant. Xavier had contacted Nancy before he and Erik left his mansion in Westchester and let her know that one of the children was in fact one, but Nancy wasn’t sure as to who it was. Charles knew exactly whom he was looking for but left Erik in confusion, finding an interest in how surprised he could possibly be.

“I really hate it when you do this to me.” Erik said. “That’s one of the reasons why I wish I was born as a telepathic.”

“Oh, come now, Erik.” Charles remarked. “There’s no harm in having a little fun among good friends.”

“But you know how much I’ll be guessing, once we get in there.” Erik said. “There are several—how should I put it—uncanny little characters in this nursery. It’ll be impossible to determine which is the one we’re coming to see.”

“Ease your anxiousness, Erik.” Charles said, as their vehicle pulled up to the driveway. “We’re here.” The two stepped out of their car; as Charles got out from his side, he felt a little itch on his right ankle and scratched it a little. Closing the passenger door, he led Erik up to the front door of the house that Nancy and the “Muppet Babies” lived in.

“Since you’re the one with all of the surprises, you ring the doorbell.” Erik bantered, and Charles grinned at him, just before he rang the bell. When Nancy opened the door and showed herself to Charles and Erik, she smiled brightly at Charles and gave him a big hug.

“How long has it been, Charles?” Nancy asked. “Ten years?”

“It’s been too long.” He told her.

“I still wish that things could’ve turned out different for us.” Nancy uttered. “It’s not fair that my father had to reject you like that. We were only a day from getting married, Charles!” Erik raised an eyebrow at that revelation; during his long-time friendship with him, Charles had never mentioned a relationship with a human. At first, he found it captivating; but with a little more thought, it disgusted him somewhat—though he didn’t know why.

“Please, Nancy.” Charles said. “Let’s not get into our past. We must remember who we are here for.” Nancy nodded, with tears that she had spent years holding back steaming down her hazel-colored eyes. She looked towards Charles’s companion, Erik, who graciously smiled at her, despite the uncomfortable feeling that he suddenly gained after discovering her relations with Charles.

“You must be, Erik Lehnsherr.” Nancy said, as she shook his hand. “Charles has told me so much about you.”

“I wish I could say the same for you, Miss Nancy.” Erik remarked, and Charles glanced over at him, sensing a feeling of displeasure that he never sensed in his friend before. “Charles has neglected to tell me anything about the young person we’ve come to see.”

“Well…” Nancy said, and she looked back at the nursery inside, looking a little worried. “He’s having his afternoon nap right now; but you boys can still come in and see him if you wish.”

“Of course.” Charles said, and he & Erik entered the house and moved into the nursery, stepping over several of the kids’ toys that had been left over the floor, including Scooter’s computer, as they approached two large cribs near the corner of the room. In the left crib, Charles and Xavier had noticed four muppet children lying comfortable there together; one child was a small bear with a yellow propeller beanie, two were twins (one boy, one girl) who both were orange with darker orange sprouts of hair, and the last one had an “animal-like” appearance.

“I’d say this one definitely looks like our boy.” Erik told Charles, pointing to the “animal child,” whom Erik was a little wary of as he growled in his sleep. “I hate to see what he’d be like when he grows up…that is, if he ever does.”

“No, Erik.” Charles said, chuckling with glee over his friend’s confusion. “Our special child must be in the other one.” They moved over to the right crib to see only three children there; one child was a small frog in an adorable sailor suit, another was a diapered dog with a bib that had a musical note on it, and the last one was a beautiful, blonde-haired pig in a pink dress.

“These three seem pretty normal to me.” Erik commented, as Charles looked around the room in surprise, wondering where the child he was searching for was. He was about to call Nancy into the room, until he and Erik stopped and noticed how she was leading a tired, blue-furred, hook-nosed child into the room. The small and unusual child rubbed his tired eyes, as he was “sleepwalking” with his toy chicken, Camilla, in his arms.

“There you are.” Charles murmured, smiling as he watched Nancy sit down in a rocking chair and set the unusual child down on her lap. Erik was a little impressed by the child’s appearance; he had seen many bizarre-looking mutants before, but that child was very much different from others.

“He has this problem with sleepwalking.” Nancy told Charles and Erik, as they approached her. “You should’ve seen him the other night. I heard a small thump on the roof, and when I stepped out to see what it was, there Gonzo was…sleepwalking on the rooftop.”

“Gonzo.” Erik said, pondering over the name, which was almost as bizarre as the child’s appearance. “Sounds like some kind of breakfast cereal.”

“Don’t tease, Erik.” Charles said. “Your ‘Magneto’ is right out of a lame Saturday morning cartoon.”

“Touché.” Erik said, with a grin, just as Charles knelt down before Nancy and looked closely at the sleeping Gonzo. He read the small weirdo’s thoughts, and he never in his life had been so intrigued by such a mutant—at least, that’s what he believed Gonzo was. The smile on the kind mutant’s face had quickly dissolved, and Nancy was quick to notice.

“What’s wrong?” She asked. “Is there something wrong with Gonzo?” Erik had also noticed how much Charles was dismayed and seemed a little concerned himself.

“He is what you’re looking for…right, Charles?” Erik queried, and Charles’s eyes moved away from Gonzo and towards Nancy.

“Where did you find this boy?” He asked, and Nancy was a little reluctant to answer his question.

“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, Charles.” Nancy replied, but through his great power of telepathy, he found the answer in her thoughts.

“You were abducted…shortly after our wedding was canceled.” Charles said, and Erik gazed oddly at him and then at Nancy.

“Abducted by whom?” Erik asked, and it was quiet in the room for the longest time. Charles wanted Nancy to tell Erik who abducted her, but he realized how much the past event had an affect on her and told instead.

“She was abducted by a cosmic force that had taken this child away from his real family and had given him to her, in order to keep his family from finding him in their galaxy.” Charles said, and Erik found that very hard to believe, so much that he started laughing. “It’s no joke, Erik. I’ve seen the images in her mind. These aliens threatened to kill her, if she didn’t take the child and raised him here on Earth.”

“So, instead of coming to see a mutant, we’ve come to see Darth Vader in person,” said Erik, who was very displeased at that moment. “We’ve wasted our time here, Charles. Let’s go.”

“Don’t underestimate him, Erik.” Charles said. “There is much that I sense in this child.”

“What do you sense in him, Charles?” Erik asked. “Do you believe that one day this boy will be a great asset to mutants everywhere?”

“Yes, I do.” Charles said, and Erik scoffed at the idea, as he began heading out of the nursery. “And I also believe that he’ll be the one to make my dream of a better world for mutants and humans come true.”

“Well, that’s one thing that your dream and this child have in common,” Erik said, “They’re both impossible.”

“Erik.” Charles uttered, as his friend neared the front door.

“I’ll wait for you in the car, Charles.” He said, just before he stormed out of the house, leaving both Charles and Nancy feeling a little disappointed.

“I’m sorry, Charles.” Nancy said. “I’m so sorry about this.”

“Don’t be.” Charles said, and he looked down at Gonzo again, gently stroking his left index finger over his little, blue-furred head. “What you have here is a miracle for any creature living on this planet.”

“Do you really believe he’ll make your dream come true?” Nancy asked.

“Oh, yes.” Charles said, and Nancy grinned at him.

“I didn’t know your powers involved foretelling the future.” Nancy commented, and Charles chuckled.

“I guess you can say that it’s more of a hunch that I have.” Charles said, and the room fell silent again, as Charles stared into Nancy’s beautiful eyes again. Old fond memories came back to them, as they both remembered how they spent their days at Columbia University. She was majoring in health, and he was majoring in psychics.

“Come back to me, Charles.” Nancy said, as she placed her right hand over the left side of his handsome, young face. “It’s not too late for us to get married.” Charles felt like crying; but he was stronger than that, and he knew Nancy was as well. He also knew that it was too late for the both of them. Had he not been so dedicated to his position as a mutant rights activist, wanting to make the world harmonious for both mutants and humans, he would’ve given their relationship a second chance in a heartbeat.

“You know as well as I do that I’m a part of bigger things now, Nancy.” Charles stated. “Your mutant-hating father may be out of the picture now, but there are several out there just like him who need help opening their eyes…and their hearts to us.” Nancy was disappointed that he wasn’t willing to give them a second chance; but yet she was pleased by his reason. She also wanted to see a world spared of the hatred towards mutants that existed in humanity.

“I understand.” Nancy said.

“Just know that I will never give up on us.” Charles told her. “When we succeed in our task, you and I will marry, have lots of children, and prove to everyone that a human/mutant marriage can work for the better.” Nancy smiled brightly at Charles again, just as Gonzo let out a small yawn that attracted their attention. “I better go. There are ‘others’ that Erik and I have to see.”

“Oh, please stay and meet Gonzo.” Nancy begged Charles. “I’m sure that he would love to get to know you.”

“And I’m sure I would love to get to know him in return.” Charles said. “But our paths will cross in the future.”

“Is that another one of your hunches?” Nancy inquired, with a smile.

“One that I am one hundred percent certain of.” Charles replied, and he gave her a big smile, as he quickly and quietly exited from the house, just in time for little Gonzo to open his little tired eyes and look up at Nancy, who once again had tears streaming from her eyes.

“Nanny, are you crying because I was sleepwalking on the roof again?” Gonzo asked, and Nancy laughed a little, wiping away her tears.

“No, Gonzo.” Nancy said. “You’re alright.”

“Then what’s wrong?” Gonzo asked, and Nancy wasn’t sure how to explain to the blue little weirdo of the situation that just took place. Instead, she just smiled at him and kissed his forehead, making the little weirdo more puzzled than ever. “I don’t think I’ll ever understand grownups.”

Oh my goodness, that was so cute! Once again reafirming that Gonzo is my favorite muppet! Very interesting how you worked Nanny into the story. I have not seen, nor do I have much intention of seeing X-men, so spoilers are good. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Fragglemuppet.:)

That whole chapter was an homage to the prologue of X-Men: The Last Stand, when....

*Spoiler Alert**Spoiler Alert*

Charles Xavier and Erik "Magneto" Lehnsherr visited preteen Jean Grey and her family. The special effects department did such a great job in showing us versions of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan that were twenty years younger. Brett Ratner used the same technique in "Red Dragon" with Anthony Hopkins.:excited:

I just pictured that whole scene with Nanny and Gonzo involved.;)

Chapter Thirteen

Present Day

“I don’t believe it.” Will uttered, as she and her four friends stood shocked and saddened before a pile of rubble that used to be the Happiness Hotel. Only a minute before it collapsed, they had arrived there to see if Gonzo was all right, after being told that he wasn’t by a mystical mutant by the name of Jareth. But before they had the chance to enter the building, it collapsed into the pile of rubble that they see.

“I…I’m sure Gonzo wasn’t inside when it fell over.” Taranee said, and the girls wanted to believe that was true, but they weren’t certain if it was. They were so overwhelmed with grief that they couldn’t hold back the tears that were coming out of their eyes.

“Let’s…Let’s just stay positive here.” Will demanded.

“How do you expect us to stay positive when our little blue friend’s somewhere beneath all that rubble?!” snapped an offended Cornelia, who afterwards used her “Earth” powers to start moving some of the rubble.

“Cornelia, you have to calm down.” Will said, and the other girls ducked as pieces of rubble flew past their heads. Cornelia was panicking so much that she didn’t even care about putting anyone in harm’s way, as she moved those pieces. “You’re going to hurt someone if you don’t watch yourself!”

“I don’t care!!” Cornelia screamed, and when she got about four feet into the pile, she and the other W.I.T.C.H. girls noticed something that shocked them even more than they already were. Tears poured out each of their eyes, as Will reached into the pile and pulled out what appeared to be Gonzo’s ravaged clothes (with Gonzo not in them). What was in them, however, was blue dust that poured out from them and onto the ground. The W.I.T.C.H. girls could only assume that Gonzo’s body had evaporated, thus proving that he was deceased. As Will had Gonzo’s tattered clothes in her arms, Cornelia was giving her a furious yet sad look. “Is that enough proof to show that he’s dead?!”

“Who…Who could’ve done that to him?” Hay Lin asked.

“Isn’t it obvious?!” yelled Irma, who seemed to be becoming angrier than Cornelia was. “Those S.H.I.E.L.D. twerps did this to him! They couldn’t stand the fact that he was a mutant, so they went off and killed him…for no reason at all!!!”

“Irma…” Will said, but Cornelia interrupted her before she even had the chance to say any more.

“No, Will! She’s right!” She exclaimed. “And you wanna know who else was right? Magneto and all of the mutants that are against this whole ‘Cure’ thing!”

“Stop it!” Will demanded. “You two are sounding just like them!”

“Well, maybe it’s time we took a stand in all of this.” Cornelia said. “Gonzo died because someone didn’t appreciate who he was. And now the government’s developing this cure as a way to do the same to every other mutant on the face of the Earth! As Guardians, we need to do what’s right to keep S.H.I.E.L.D. or any other mutant-haters from eliminating anyone else!”

“You’ve got that right!” Irma agreed, while Will, Taranee, and Hay Lin were still trying to get over what happened to Gonzo. They were angrier with Gonzo’s unfortunate passing as Cornelia and Irma were, but they didn’t want to jump to conclusions either.

“It’s important to assess this situation carefully.” Will stated, and Cornelia was very surprised by her statement.

“Assess? Assess?!?!” Cornelia shouted. “What is there to assess, Will?! Gonzo’s dead! And you’re just going to stand there and tell us that joining Magneto and his Brotherhood in fighting for mutants everywhere isn’t the smart thing to do?”

“Listen to yourself, Cornelia.” Will said. “This is exactly what he wants us to do. He knows how powerful we are, so he makes us believe in false images like this!” Cornelia, Irma, Hay Lin, and Taranee were taken aback when they saw how Will threw Gonzo’s tattered clothes down on the ground. The four started to feel very upset with Will, thinking that their friend and leader didn’t care about what happened to Gonzo.

“Oh, so now you believe that Gonzo faked his own death, just to get us to join the Brotherhood?” Cornelia said.

“Now you’re twisting things around! I didn’t say that!” Will shouted, becoming furious herself. What the girls didn’t realized about each other was that the angrier they had become, the more their eyes lost their colors and became nothing more than just white balls in their heads.

“I don’t even know why we still follow you around.” Cornelia told her. “If there’s anyone who should be leading us, it should be Magneto!”

“Well, maybe it is a good idea to join his Brotherhood,” Will uttered, “That way I wouldn’t have to worry about having a sarcastic idiot, a wimpy four-eyed geek, a big-eared pony-tailed dunce, and a snooty blonde moron by my side as I fight to protect this world!”

“Wimpy four-eyed geek?!” said an angry Taranee.

“Sarcastic idiot?!” said a mad Irma.

“Big-eared pony-tailed dunce?!” said an upset Hay Lin.

“Snooty blonde moron?!” said a furious Cornelia.

“Did I stutter?!” Will snapped. “And you know what else I’m sick of? This whole W.I.T.C.H. crap!” And with that, she removed the Heart of Candracar from her neck, threw it on the ground, and crushed it by stomping her right foot on it. Because she did that, the five girls were immediately vanquished of their Guardian forms and became ordinary girls again. However, their eyes were still whitened; something (or someone) was controlling their emotions, and neither of them realized it.

“You were never our friend, Will Vandom.” Cornelia said. “You were just a pathetic virus that plagued this whole city, when you moved here.” Cornelia’s words angered Will; she balled up her fists and was ready to take her and the other girls down, until the sudden appearance of Jareth kept her from doing anything.

“No!” He exclaimed, holding his hands up in protest. “You girls mustn’t use your abilities on each other. You must save them for the group that is responsible for your friend’s death.” Obeying Jareth’s command, Will relaxed her tensed-up body and stopped balling her fists. Jareth grinned, seeing that he had the girls under his control; neither of them seemed to recognize him from the meeting at the Holy Trinity Church. “Now, then…shall we join our Brotherhood, as they begin their mission to eliminate the so-called ‘cure’ that threatens our race?”

“Yes.” The girls replied, each with deadpan expressions, and they were about to leave with Jareth, until a voice behind them made them stop in their tracks.

“Hey! Wait!” The voice said, and they turned to see Sweetums, coming out from behind the massive pile of rubble, which Doglion had soon busted out from, seemingly unharmed.

“Don’t forget about us.” Doglion said.

“Oh, yes.” Jareth uttered. “The nincompoops.”

“Hey! We resent that remark!” said an offended Sweetums. “We’re not ninco…nincodo…nincomsoda…uh…We’re not whatever you just called us!”

“Just come with me, fools.” Jareth ordered. “Magneto has recruited some more mutants from the church in New York.”

“Really? Great!” Doglion exclaimed. “Oh! I love to get to know new mutants!”

“Uh, what’re their names?” Sweetums asked.

“Callisto, who has the power to move at incredible speeds, as well as an interesting ability to detect other mutants around her.” Jareth said, with a smile. “Magneto believes that she could be the key to finding Jean Grey.” Sweetums and Doglion weren’t exactly the smarter mutants/muppets in the Brotherhood, but they were smart enough to know that Jean Grey was dead.

“Uh…didn’t Jean Grey drown in that Alkali Lake incident that Magneto always tell us about?” Sweetums queried, and Jareth grinned wickedly at them.

“Mutant life has an interesting way of fooling death’s curse,” He said, “Especially when you’re a ‘Class 5’ mutant like Miss Grey.” Sweetums and Doglion turned to each other and both exchanged stunned looks.

“Class 5?!?!” They screamed, in unison.

“Yes.” Jareth said. “Even more powerful than Magnus himself.”

“I wouldn’t want to get near her when she becomes angry.” Doglion remarked, looking as white as a sheet.

“Neither do I.” Sweetums said.

“Well, I do.” Jareth uttered. “I am a ‘Class 5’ as well. And not even the powerful telepathic force of Dr. Jean Grey could stop me.” Alarmed, Sweetums reached over and placed his big hand over a surprised Jareth’s mouth.

“Shhhh!” He cried. “She’ll hear you.” Instead of using his own hands to remove Sweetums’s big hand from his mouth, Jareth used his mutant skills to make Sweetums think his hand was burning, so he could move it away from his mouth and cool it off. “Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!”

“Like I said, not even a powerful force like Jean Grey could stop me.” Jareth said.

“But what about that Gonzo guy that Magneto recruited a couple of days ago?” Doglion asked, and now it was Jareth’s turn to become as white as a sheet. He didn’t answer Doglion’s questions; instead, he just turned and walked away with the hypnotized W.I.T.C.H. girls by his side, while Doglion gave Sweetums a puzzled look. “Was it something that I said?”

“Nah.” Sweetums said. “He just probably smelled what’s left of that limburger you ate last night from your breath.”

“Oh…what a relief.” Doglion said.

“Come on.” Sweetums said. “Let’s go have some fun!”

Yeah... Can we have more please?
Frankly, I like spoilers, lets me know more about the movie I'm watching/experiencing.

The 12th chapter was especially beautiful... Chapter 13 was a bit intense.
Oh... And the girls might as well be thought of as mutants. In one of the Season 2 trailers Terranee gets telepathic powers, Cornelia gets telekinetic powers, and Hailin can become invisible.
Much awaits on June 5 when it premeieres.

Yeah, I kinda figured that they might as well be considered mutants, after I saw that same preview.:) I'm just wondering what kind of powers do Will and Irma have, because we only saw those three girls.

I'm also leading the events of this story to Season 2 of W.I.T.C.H. as well.;)

There's a big event happening in my hometown, so I'll probably have more later on in the evening. Tomorrow's Memorial Day (obviously) so there probably won't be much story to share; but I'll definitely have more by this Tuesday.:)

Chapter Fourteen

A full twenty-four hours had passed since the capture of Kermit, Robin, and the Foster’s residents by Nick Fury and his S.H.I.E.L.D. forces, as they transported them all the way from the skies over New York to the skies over San Francisco. They had taken them to Alcatraz Island, which served as one of the bases for Worthington Labs—founded by the wealthy Warren Worthington II, who developed the cure for the mutant gene. It also served as a base of operations for S.H.I.E.L.D. that contained holding cells that had been renovated for mutant purposes.

While the Foster’s residents were placed in the cells in the S.H.I.E.L.D. section of the island, Kermit and Robin were taken to a room with only four chrome walls and a gray-colored table and two chairs. To Kermit and Robin, it looked like it used to be an interrogation room or maybe a jail cell (the island was a prison facility). The two frogs waited in that room for almost two full hours, until a familiar face visited them.

“Scooter?!” Kermit and Robin exclaimed.

“Hey, boss. Hey, Robin.” Scooter said.

“I wish we can say that it’s good to see you here, but it unfortunately isn’t.” Kermit said. “What’s going on here?”

“I would’ve figured that you guys were honored to be a part of this.” Scooter remarked.

“Be a part of what?” Kermit asked.

“The cure for mutants.” Scooter replied. “Isn’t it great that Warren Worthington II has finally discovered a way to turn all of those horrible creatures into regular citizens?” Kermit did feel happy that Scooter was involved in the experiment; but it saddened him, only because Scooter was oblivious to the fact that one of his best friends was a mutant himself.

“It won’t be so great for mutants like Angelica.” Robin uttered, and Kermit, as well as Scooter, gave the little frog a bizarre look.

“Robin, what’re you talking about?” Kermit inquired.

“I saw her with my own eyes, Uncle Kermit.” Robin said. “While you and Peter were off rescuing Gonzo, some of those S.H.I.E.L.D. guys threatened to kill Angelica, if they didn’t come with her quietly. She used some sort of fiery powers to melt their guns, Uncle Kermit. She’s a mutant herself!” Scooter, who had gotten to know Angelica when she first came into the Muppets’ lives, was angered by that news, feeling a bit betrayed.

“I should’ve known we couldn’t have trusted her!” He shouted. “She was probably just pretending to be our friend the whole time, just so she could wait and attack us at the right moment. That traitor!” It was that comment from Scooter Grosse that made Kermit offended enough to tell him about Gonzo.

“I hope those S.H.I.E.L.D. saps didn’t plague your mind so much with those kinds of thoughts that you can’t even trust Gonzo anymore either!” Kermit exclaimed, and Scooter was a little puzzled at first; but as the reality of what Kermit just said kicked into him, a stunned look crept across the gofer’s face. He sat himself down in one of the two chairs in the room, while several memories and experiences that he had shared with Gonzo ran through his mind, only to discover then that he was spending his entire life with a mutant, something that he truly despised in life.

“How…How long has he been…one of them?” Scooter said.

“How should I know how long?!” Kermit snapped. “I only discovered that he was one during the events that led to the incident on Liberty Island.”

“Gonzo was a part of that?!” Scooter exclaimed, while Robin—who was also surprised to hear that Gonzo was a mutant—walked away from his uncle and stood next to Scooter.

“You’re not angry at Gonzo for being what he is, are you?” Robin asked, and Scooter just sat there, not bothering to answer Robin’s question. He was still letting the thought of Gonzo as a mutant sink into his mind. Kermit was very disappointed that Scooter didn’t even bother to answer little Robin’s question; only a true friend would respond to a question like that without a second thought.

“Well, despite whether you are or not, I need your help.” Kermit told Scooter. “Gonzo used one of the many mutant abilities that he has to create another version of himself, and that clone now has amnesia and is under the control of Magneto.” Hearing that name brought Scooter out of the trance he was in.

“Erik Lehnsherr?!” Scooter shouted. “S.H.I.E.L.D. has been searching for that mutant for at least two months now!”

“Well, he’s got Gonzo’s clone, and he plans on converting him to his Brotherhood.” Kermit informed. “Who knows what stage that duplicate is in now?” Though he never witnessed Gonzo’s mutant powers, Scooter could only imagine what his clone was capable of.

“If anyone knows how to stop him, it’s Gonzo himself.” Scooter stated. “Where is he?”

“We don’t know,” replied a disappointed yet angry Kermit. “Your S.H.I.E.L.D. friends captured us before we even had the opportunity to find out what happened to him or Peter or even Angelica.”

“Why did they break into that mansion and kidnap all of those people, Scooter?” Robin asked, referring to the Foster’s residents.

“Nick Fury told us that he and his men spotted some abnormal activity in that vicinity.” Scooter replied. “They figured that there were mutants there, so they captured them all to bring them to Worthington Labs to be the first subjects for the cure.” Kermit shook his head, feeling embarrassed for Scooter, Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D., and anyone else involved in the cure.

“Scooter!” He shouted in frustration. “Those weren’t mutants! They were imaginary friends!” Scooter’s face turned into a darker reddish-orange color, showing how embarrassed he was for the mistake that he and his team made.

“Four of those people were humans, too.” Robin added.

“Oops.” Scooter uttered. “They must be pretty upset.”

“No kidding!” Kermit remarked, sarcastically. “Who knows what that cure can do to ordinary specimens like them.”

“Well, I can always tell Mr. Worthington to hold back on the injection, just until we can ‘be certain’ that they’re actually ‘mutants’.” Scooter said.

“And that should give us enough time to warn Professor Xavier and the other mutants at the School for Gifted Youngsters about Magneto’s plans for Gonzo, who we can hopefully find on the way there.” Kermit assumed, while Scooter felt a bit uncomfortable with the idea of going to Xavier’s school.

“Do we really have to go there?” Scooter queried, and Kermit shook his head again in disgust. “Couldn’t we just go find Gonzo, give him the cure, and let the mutants handled their problems?”

“Listen, Scooter, if you don’t want stand with us on this situation, then just tell your S.H.I.E.L.D. pals to let us go free, so we can save the world.” Scooter wasn’t sure what he should do; he never felt so lost in his whole life. He didn’t want to feel angry at Gonzo for being a mutant, because he had known him since the both of them were living with Nancy in the old nursery. But it was hard for him to accept that the weirdo was in fact a mutant (and not an alien, which he believed he really was since 1999).

“Mr. Grosse! Mr. Grosse!” Someone shouted from outside the room, just before the door to the room opened and a S.H.I.E.L.D. soldier walked in. “We just got word that the prison convoy had been attacked by Magneto and his flunky, Pyro!” Scooter was shocked by the news, and so were Kermit and Robin.

“Oh, no.” Scooter said. “Did any mutants escape from the truck?”

“Cain Marko and James Madrox.” The soldier said.

“Juggernaut and Multiple Man?!” Scooter exclaimed. “They’re two of the most dangerous mutants in the country, especially the Juggernaut!” He then looked over at Kermit and Robin. “And how much do you want to bet that Gonzo was there to help them escape?”

“You know I’m too young to bet, Scooter.” Robin commented, just before a loud alarm sounded the entire facility, followed by the voice of Digit, a S.H.I.E.L.D. android that was connected to almost every technological thing on the island.

“Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Intruder alert!” Digit shouted.

“We’ve got to get to the Control Room and see what’s happening.” Scooter said, just as he rushed out of the room, with Kermit and Robin following him. Once the three reached the Control Room, they met up with Digit, who was sitting comfortably at the center of the room, amongst several buttons, switches, LED displays, readouts, and everything else that helped him monitor the island. “What’s going on?”

“We have abnormal activity taking place in Hangar 7!” Digit informed, pointing at a monitor that was showing a cloaked figure wreaking complete chaos in the hangar, as several S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers attempted to fire their “cure guns” at him, only to be thrown back towards (and through) the chrome walls. Kermit, Scooter, and Robin cringed as they watched the figure use his mutant powers to horrendously contort some of the soldiers’ bodies, making some look like human pretzels and others like human spirals. “I had no idea the human body was capable of such flexibility.”

“It’s not,” said Scooter, who was desperately keeping himself from getting nauseated, while Kermit closely looked at the figure on the monitor and seemed to have recognized who it was.

“It’s Gonzo.” Kermit uttered, and Scooter & Robin looked a little surprised.

“But not the Gonzo that we know, right?” Scooter asked, and Kermit shook his head in reply, as they watched the “Dark Gonzo” unleash more of his chaos, hurling several tanks, jeeps, and helicopters at the soldiers, crushing them to death. The images frightened little Robin and forced him to bury his face into the left side of Kermit’s torso.

“I think he’s coming our way.” Kermit said, as he, Scooter, and Digit watched “Dark Gonzo” exit the hangar (disappearing from the monitor) and entering a large hallway filled with S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers (on another monitor in the room). They could hear the action taking place from outside the room, signifying how close they were to it.

“How does he even know we’re here?” Scooter asked.

“One of his powers must include telepathy,” Kermit said, “Meaning we could be in Osaka, and he could smell us all the way from Nebraska.” Scooter was beginning to panic; but he didn’t want to freak out in front of Robin, who was already scared enough.

“We have to get out of here.” Scooter said. “There’s a hover bike in Hangar 4. That’s our only ticket for a clean escape.”

“But what about everyone else in the facility?” Kermit inquired.

“If this Gonzo’s only looking for us, then he’ll sense our disappearance from the facility and leave, without harming anyone else.” Scooter assumed, and Kermit looked a little impressed.

“For someone who hates mutants, you sure know a lot about their tactics.” He complimented.

“When you’ve spent so much time with a powerful military group, you learn a thing or two about…” Scooter stopped talking when he came near the sliding door that they entered through and realized that it wasn’t automatically opening like it was supposed to. “Digit, this is not the time to be playing around! Open this door!”

“It’s not me, Scooter.” Digit said. “Our mutant intruder is the one controlling the facility’s systems.” That’s when Digit’s eyes started glowing in a yellowish color and looked towards Kermit, Robin, and Scooter. “And me, too.” Before the three could move an inch, Digit fired a bizarre beam that hit their bodies, freezing them in place as they glowed in the same yellowish color. “I’m so sorry.”

It wasn’t long before the “Dark Gonzo” had reached the area, melting the mechanical door away to allow himself inside. The dark blue hood that he wore over his head obscured his face, but his nose was the only part of it that was sticking out. However, his nose was not in the same usual hooked shape anymore; it was straight and sharp as a knife, giving it a fierce, deadly look. The “Dark Gonzo” pointed his left index finger at Digit and made a slight circular shape with it, and the next thing the S.H.I.E.L.D. android knew, his head was backwards.

“Ho, on! Tahw evah uoy enod ot em?!?!” Digit cried, with his speech corrupted to where he could only speak backwards. “Uoy lliw yap rof siht!!”

The “Dark Gonzo” grinned at what he had done to Digit, right before he turned his attention to the frozen Kermit, Robin, and Scooter, who weren’t aware of his presence. He held his right hand up at them and used one of his amazing abilities to shatter the forcefield around them that caused them to freeze and glow. The three screamed horrifically, as their bodies split into millions of pieces that were sucked right into the right hand of the “Dark Gonzo.” The corrupted weirdo then looked up at the ceiling, which tore away and revealed the blue, cloudy sky, allowing himself to fly away from the scene.

“Dluoc enoemos hctarcs ym eson esaelp?”

Whoa... So much to soak in... Dark Gonzo? And what about the WITCH girls? And what about Peter, Angelica, and the other Gonzo?
And which one's the real one?

Hope for more soon. BTW: You do know about the special end scene right?

Whoa... So much to soak in... Dark Gonzo? And what about the WITCH girls? And what about Peter, Angelica, and the other Gonzo?
And which one's the real one?

"Dark Gonzo" is the complete opposite of the Gonzo that we all know and love. He's more wild, more bizarre, and has a massive taste for utter destruction. Not even the Phoenix herself could stop him, even if she wanted to.:concern:

Of course, I won't reveal yet which is the real Gonzo. And as far as the WITCH girls go, they're with Jareth and the Brotherhood now. And the next chapter will explain more about what happened to Peter and Angelica.

And the other Gonzo....well...you'll see.;)

Hope for more soon. BTW: You do know about the special end scene right?

Oh, yes. I made sure that my brother and I stayed after the credits.:)

And all I can say is that whether or not there will be an "X4", everyone here on Muppet Central can be 100% certain that this won't be the last X-Men/Muppets adventure that I'll write.

It's okay with me. I don't think I'd be all that confused, since I wrote the story.:)

I hate to double post, but I figured this news was important enough to be posted separately from my previous one.

As I had told everyone, my next story after this one will be based on the next summer blockbuster, Superman Returns. Well, after talking with my brother (the comic book expert) about the story, I'd gotten some ideas of what I might do for the DC Universe with the characters from Sesame Street.

My next series will be called "Sesame, DC" and it'll be less moody and dark than "The MARVELOUS Muppets" series (it should be, considering the Muppets in SS are aristocrats compared to our basic Muppets--i.e. Gonzo, Piggy, Fozzie, etc.) The series will center on certain SS residents and their relations to DC superheroes. For example, in the Superman Returns story that'll be doing, Big Bird has a history with the Man of Steel, when his alter ego (Clark Kent) was just a teenager!

My brother gave me the bright idea to have Oscar the Grouch connect with the "unhappy" Gotham City, thus giving him a relation with the brooding hero known as Batman. I wasn't exactly sure how I should put any Sesame Street characters in Gotham, until I remembered how grouchy Oscar always is and how well he'll fit in Gotham City.:grouchy:

I might start working on the Superman/Sesame Street as soon as June 2nd (this Friday) to hopefully tie-in with the release of Superman Returns on June 30th.

But, back to the Marvel/Muppets Universe that I've been setting up since August, this "Marvelous Muppets" story might be the last one that I'll do for a while, since I'll be focusing on working up a DC/Sesame Street Universe and revising the "Muppets of the Caribbean" story that I was working on months ago.

However, when I do get back to working on the Marvel/Muppets stories, the series' title will transform from "The Marvelous Muppets" to "The Marvelous Creature Shop", because I'll be attempting to work in characters from Henson-related products like Labyrinth and Farscape and partnering them with the darkest characters in Marvel history, like The Punisher, Blade, Daredevil, and a guy that we'll be hearing a lot about come February of 2007, Ghost Rider.

Anyway, more of "And He'll Stand With..." to come.;)

Well... I'll be looking forward to wahtever you pen Sean. Though maybe a more obvious Gotham/Sesame tie-in would be my own namesake... A guy who likes bats, has mastery over the supernatural, drives a bat-influenced Countmobile...
Maybe Oscar would be a better fit with some other DC franchise character, but it's your call.

As far as the X-Muppets crossover...
Real Gonzo: Left the Happiness Hotel to find Professor Xavier, got taken in by Herbie and the Disney/KH crew, fell out of the VW over the cliffs, got nursed back to health at the base of Lake Alkali by the Foster's gang... Then awoke with Pyro standing over him, welcomed into the Brotherhood, and I guess would now be Dark Gonzo?

Gonzo Clone: Left the mansion after the events of X-Men 2, was spotted at Pete's Diner, went back to the Happiness Hotel with Kermit and Peter and Angelica, bumped into Frankie from Foster's and got taken to their mansion... Kermit attempted to rescue him, Spidey went with him, SHIELD goons showed up forcing Angelica and Robin to go into the Foster's manor, and then the big explosion blasting Spidey and Firestar and Gonzo Clone to the bushes below... Peter and Angelica drove him back to the Happiness Hotel, the fight with Sweetums and Doglion Beast while Gonzo Clone was taken into a realm of his own consciousness by Uber-Gonzo.
Pretty much sums up where we stand.

Didn't think of that one either!:excited:

Maybe I can have both The Count and Oscar go to Gotham.

And you're pretty much correct.:)

Only how do we know if the roles haven't been reversed by one little part that I didn't include in the Epilogue of the first X-Men/Muppets story that I'd done? It could be "The Real Gonzo" that left the X-Mansion after X2's events and the "Gonzo Clone" that has been wreaking havoc amongst the SHIELD crew.

Boggles the mind, doesn't it?;)

It does... But since none of that possibility was posted, I'm going by what you've told us in these tales. Until you definitively tell us by including some sort of post-datum, it's off the table, existing in your possibility writer's mind.

And I was thinking about the SS DC teamups... Yeah, guess Oscar could tag along to Gotham, though SS is in NYC... And NYC is essentially Gotham, one of the old names for the city so nice they named it twice.
Maybe Oscar would be a kind of conscience for the Joker or something like that... But I thought about it, and it made more sense to team Oscar with John Jones aka Man Martian Hunter. Misunderstood outcasts, both green-toned borderline observers of the rest of humanity... Could work that way.
Your call, just some suggestions.

Okay, I have a lot of "marvelous" news to tell you all. But, first, let me respond to Count's comment.:)

Yeah, it's cool if you go by what I've told in the tales, because the answer to who's the real Gonzo does exist only in my mind.

And SS isn't in NYC in the "Sesame, DC" continuity; it lies in the heart of Metropolis, right near the Daily Planet. So, if The Count and Oscar go to Gotham, then they'll be going to a completely different city and not anywhere near Metropolis.

It would be interesting if Oscar played the role of conscience to The Joker, yet it could be dangerous for the Grouch as well. And I'm not too familiar with the Martian Manhunter, but I do agree that it would be an excellent side-story in a future "Sesame, DC" story.;)

-----------

But, back on the "marvelous" news that I wanted to tell everyone about.....

I just got some news about the third Spider-Man movie that has gotten me extremely excited. But I won't say anything about it, because I don't want to get anyone into trouble over revealing information that might or might not be 100% true.

I can say, however, that since Sandman (a "Spidey" villian that I've gotten to know through the comics and really interested in seeing) is going to be in the film, the next Spider-Man/Muppets story that I'll do will alter the events set up in The Great Muppet Caper, as Flint Marko (Sandman's real name) is now a conspirator in the "Baseball Diamond" case that Kermit, Fozzie, and Gonzo covered for their other newspaper in the early-80s.

I guess I'll use the same formula for the "X-Muppet" series, just using flashbacks to describe events that happened in the "untold" second Spidey/Muppets story and hoping that whatever I put in the prelude to Spider-Man 3 will connect with some of the movie's continuity.

I'll explain more later.:)

Well, I haven't finished on the first chapter of the SS/Supes story, but I do have another chapter for this X-Men/Muppets story.

Also, I think I'm going to see X-Men: The Last Stand again tomorrow with my mom and sister, so maybe I'll come up with some more ideas for the story.:)

Chapter Fifteen

Fifteen hours ago, one of the neighbors that lived near the Happiness Hotel called the fire department, just as soon as it had collapsed. When the firemen arrived at the scene, they had discovered the unconscious body of Peter Parker and the nude but unharmed and conscious body of Angelica Jones lying somewhere beneath the huge pile of rubble. Immediately, the two were taken to the nearest hospital in that area and treated for any injures they might’ve sustained. Angelica was given a blue tracksuit to wear in place of the clothes that had been burnt off of her, and when the doctors found no visible injures on her, she went to Peter Parker’s hospital room.

Angelica nearly wept when she saw how Peter was lying in the hospital bed, hooked up to several machines and bandaged in areas of his body that had been damaged the most, including his head. Though he had great powers, he was still a human being that was fairly fragile, and Angelica felt very guilty that he had to be a victim to her remarkable power. She sat next to him on the left side of his bed and held his hand, watching his immobile face carefully for any sign of consciousness.

“I’m sorry, Pete.” Angelica said. “I didn’t mean for this to happen to you. I just…I just never felt that powerful in my whole life. I mean, when that fire surrounded me in that boiler room…it…it was almost like something out of the dreams that I had…where I’m flying higher than a kite.” While Angelica was talking to the unconscious Peter, she failed to notice the small figure that was hovering outside the window behind her. It was Wembley, using his mutant power to fly over to the window and peek at the two people inside.

“Found her.” Wembley murmured, just before he lowered himself back down on the ground, regrouping with his Fraggle friends as they stood in a dim alleyway. “She’s inside the hospital, just where the Professor told us she’d be.”

“Good job, Wembley.” Gobo said.

“We should be telling that to you, Gobo.” Mokey uttered.

“What do you mean?” He asked.

“Well, if you hadn’t decided for us to turn to Professor Xavier for help when no one else would, after the Brotherhood brainwashed every other mutant, we’d be completely lost.” Boober replied.

“I figured it was a brilliant idea, since he’s helped other lost mutants.” Gobo said. “I just hope he’s right about the mutant inside this hospital being the perfect one to help us stop Magneto, the Brotherhood, and that new ‘Class 5’ mutant that he has recruited.”

“No one can stop a ‘Class 5’ mutant!” Red exclaimed. “That’s way too powerful!”

“The Professor thinks the one in there can.” Gobo said, just before he turned to Wembley. “Okay, Wembley…take me up.” Wembley nodded in reply and put his arms around Gobo, right before he lifted the Fraggle off the ground and back up to the window. Once they were near it, Gobo slightly knocked on the window in an attempt to attract Angelica’s attention. Fortunately, Angelica heard the tapping and turned her attention to the window, seeing Gobo and Wembley hovering outside.

“What on earth…?!” Angelica said, as she walked over to the window and opened it, allowing Wembley and Gobo to fly into the room and land right in the chair that Angelica had been sitting on. Angelica looked very amazed, as she watched the two Fraggles stand on the chair, which seemed gigantic to such small creatures like them. “What…What the heck’s going on here?!”

“We’ve come to ask for your help, Angelica Jones.” Gobo said, and Angelica was even more amazed that he knew who she was.

“My help?” She said, and she chuckled a little. “I don’t have a clue what you little guys are. How am I supposed to help creatures that I’m not even familiar with?”

“We’re mutants…just like you.” Wembley told Angelica, who very much believed that they were. “But we’re of a distinct type.”

“We’re known as Fraggles.” Gobo said, and Angelica just smiled, seeming to be very impressed by the two creatures before her. “We were sent by the powerful Professor Xavier in a desperate plea for help, in order to stop Magneto, the Brotherhood, and their newest member, Dr. Jean Grey.” Angelica had quickly gone from being impressed to confused.

“Dr. Grey? She’s practically on the same team with Charles Xavier.” Angelica said, just before she realized some information that was probably important for her to bring up in the conversation. “And didn’t Dr. Grey die in that Alkali Lake incident?”

“Well, if she did, then the person walking around must be her ghost,” Gobo said, “Because she’s alive and causing complete chaos.”

“She killed a member of her own X-Men team—a guy named Cyclops.” Wembley informed, and that’s when Angelica took the situation more seriously, surprised to hear what such a peaceful mutant like Jean Grey had done.

“She’s no longer the Jean Grey that we all know.” Gobo told Angelica. “According to Professor Xavier, when she supposedly drown in Alkali Lake, she unleashed a powerful split-personality that Jean called ‘Phoenix’—a persona that the Professor contained somewhere in the deepest regions of Dr. Grey’s mind, using telepathic blocks. But now the Phoenix is out, and she must be stopped.”

“But there is no possible way to stop a ‘Class 5’ mutant.” Wembley remarked, and Gobo shushed him, while Angelica was chuckling nervously.

“I can’t believe this.” She uttered. “Out of all the mutants in the world, Xavier wants me to help him stop the most powerful one of all. I wonder why.”

“Because he knows how powerful you are, Angelica.” Gobo said. “It takes one powerful mutant to stop another.”

“But I’m not a ‘Class 5’ mutant. I’m not sure if I’m even a ‘Class 1’ mutant either!” Angelica said. “Look, I’m flattered that Xavier and his X-Men want me to help them stop Jean Grey, Phoenix, or whoever she is,” She moved back over to Peter Parker, who was still lying unconscious in the hospital bed, “But I’ve already put enough friends in danger.” Gobo focused his attention on Peter Parker and looked back at Angelica, with a smile.

“I’m sure Spider-Man forgives you for what happened back in the Happiness Hotel, Angelica.” Gobo said, and both Angelica and Wembley looked at the Fraggle in surprise.

“How…How did you…?” Angelica stammered.

“Gobo,” Wembley said, “Since when have you become a telepath?!”

“Professor Xavier found a secret power in me that I never in my whole life knew that I had.” Gobo replied. “He found that I can do several things with people’s minds, from creating illusions to manipulating brainwaves.”

“Why, I don’t believe that, Gobo.” said Wembley, who was usually the one to agree with everyone, but he seemed to be in a disagreeing mood at that moment. “There’s no way a mutant Fraggle like you can have more than one ability! You are wrong, Professor Xavier is wrong, and…and…” He stopped and realized what he was saying and doing. “…And I’m not wembling! How is that possible? I hate disagreeing and arguing with anyone. Oh, I’m sorry, Gobo.”

“It’s okay, Wembley.” Gobo said. “Because I manipulated your mind to where you didn’t have to agree with me and argued against my beliefs.” Wembley was impressive, and Angelica was as well.

“That is awesome, Gobo!” Wembley exclaimed.

“The Professor believes it is important for me to use this power wisely, because there is a mutant out there that can…” Before Gobo could finish, his newfound powers kicked in unexpectedly, as he sensed an approaching presence. “Oh, no.”

“What’s wrong, Gobo?” Wembley asked.

“He’s coming.” replied Gobo, who had a very eerie expression on his face, as he looked towards the door. “Jareth’s coming.”

“Who’s Jareth?” Angelica queried.

“The mutant that Professor Xavier warned me about.” Gobo said. “He’s the reason the Professor tapped into my secret powers, because he knew that I’d be the only one that could stop him from manipulating you, Angelica.”

“What does he want with me?” Angelica inquired, even though it was obvious enough to her that everyone wanted her power on their side.

“Jareth’s a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood, and he’s already used his manipulative powers to convert five special girls to his team as well.” Gobo explained. “If he were to get you to stand with him and the Brotherhood, then Homo sapiens everywhere will be doomed for sure, because no one will be able to stop the combined forces of the Phoenix, the Firestar, and the mutant that calls himself the ‘Dark Gonzo’.” Hearing Gonzo’s name made Angelica’s eyes grow wide, as she recalled how he had disappeared from the grasps of both her and Peter. However, it shocked her that Gonzo was now a member of Magneto’s Brotherhood.

“Gonzo?” She murmured, placing her left hand near her opened mouth. “Do you know where he is?”

“I-I-I-It’s probably best if you don’t know where he is, Miss Jones.” Wembley said.

“But I have to!” Angelica yelled. “Do you know how close we were to him, just before he vanished out of nowhere?!” She began to feel herself getting a little angry; and the angrier she became, the more the room became unbelievably warm. “And now you’re telling me that he’s with that terrorist Magneto and his stupid Brotherhood?!” Wembley felt himself getting very hot and sweating, while Gobo just stood where he was, unaffected by the heat and still staring at the door.

“Calm down, Miss Jones. I’m sure we can get him back.” Wembley said, and he turned to the serene Gobo. “Right, Gobo?”

“Jareth’s not in the room yet, and he’s already manipulating Angelica’s mind.” Gobo uttered, and though Wembley didn’t understand what he meant, he pretended as if Gobo hadn’t said it.

“Gobo, tell Miss Jones that you can use your new powers to get Gonzo back.” Wembley demanded, as his hair became soaked from the heavy amounts of sweat that was pouring out of his head. “Tell her, before this room turns into a sauna.”

“Don’t you understand, Wembley?” Gobo said, turning his attention away from the door and towards Wembley. “The Gonzo that the Brotherhood has isn’t the real Gonzo.”

“You mean he has a dual personality, too?” Wembley said.

“No.” Gobo remarked, just as the door to the room shook violently, startling Gobo, Wembley, and Angelica. “Gonzo’s not even a mutant, Wembley. He’s just an alien that’s experiencing a cosmic anomaly. And he’s used his temporary powers to create a clone of himself that Magneto and Jareth have manipulated into a killing machine.”

“Then where is the real Gonzo?” Wembley asked.

“That’s what I would like to know!!” Angelica screamed, right before the shaking door broke off its hinges and fell to the floor, allowing Jareth, Sweetums, Doglion, and the W.I.T.C.H. girls to enter. But once they stepped foot in the room, all they noticed was Peter Parker lying in the bed (still unconscious) and how the room had gone back to being cool.

“Hey! I thought I heard voices in here!” Sweetums exclaimed.

“Where did everybody go?” Doglion asked, as Jareth’s eyes darted towards the window that Wembley and Gobo had entered through, and he sensed that the two Fraggles had made escape through that same window with Angelica in tow, just as soon as they busted into the room. The manipulative mutant also sensed something in the Fraggle known as Gobo…something “different.”

“Smart move, Xavier.” Jareth uttered, with a wicked grin on his face and an eerie glare in his eyes. “Very smart move.”

Well then... That explains Gobo's power from earlier... How he can look at someone and tell/explore what future paths hold in store for that person. Making him a pivotal telepath and getting Firestar to share in that spotlight is a very hexcellent move. Yes, I agree with Jarreth just his once... Very clever move.

One thing that I'd noticed in X-Men: The Last Stand was that every good mutant had a worthy opposing bad mutant to battle against, like Kitty Pryde ("Shadowcat") fought Juggernaut, Beast fought Magneto, Bobby Drake ("Iceman") fought Pyro, and Wolverine fought Phoenix.

I wanted Jareth to have an opponent that had powers that were similiar (but not as powerful) to his, and that's where I got the idea to give Gobo a "second power" that involved manipulation to the mind and telepathy. I guess you can say that his powers evolved (like Jean's).:smirk:

Chapter Sixteen

There was only one place that the “Dark Gonzo” was heading after his attack on the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility on Alcatraz Island and that was the home that belonged to the parents of Jean Grey. Once the dark, cloaked figure arrived in the neighborhood that the house was settled in, he landed on the ground and noticed how two members of the X-Men (Wolverine and Storm) were standing across from four members of the Brotherhood (Juggernaut, Callisto, Arclight, and Kid Omega) that were standing guard in front of Jean’s old home.

Wolverine and Storm had their attention on the Brotherhood members and the house for the longest time, until they noticed Dark Gonzo’s appearance and were taken aback. They hadn’t seen Gonzo for the longest time, and the way he looked that moment confused and frightened them. Logan attempted to approach “Dark Gonzo,” but Storm grabbed his left arm and held him back, remembering something that Professor Xavier told her before they left the mansion.

“Don’t bother talking to him.” Storm said. “He’s not the same Gonzo that we once knew.” Logan couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“Does everyone have some sort of second personality that I don’t know about?!?!” Logan exclaimed, a little frustrated.

“He’s a clone, Logan.” Storm said. “A clone that you brought to the mansion, just after the incident of Liberty Island, months ago, and was manipulated into joining Magneto’s Brotherhood.” Logan was a bit confused; but with all he had been through with Gonzo, it seemed to have made some sense.

“If Magneto’s got that ‘Double Weirdo’ on his side, along with Jean, then there’s nothing on this earth that’ll be able to stop them.” Logan said, as the “Dark Gonzo” walked past Juggernaut, Kid Omega, and Arclight and approached Callisto, who was the closest one to the front door of the house.

“Got any news for Erik?” Callisto asked him, and he nodded slowly. “Then step right in.” Callisto stepped aside to allow “Dark Gonzo” into the house; upon entering, he used his strange powers to make the front door vanish, allowing himself to walk right inside. As soon as he was in, the door reappeared before the eyes of Callisto, who seemed very impressed by Dark Gonzo’s power. “That’s some freak.”

Inside the Grey household, there were several inanimate objects that were moving by themselves; but once “Dark Gonzo” walked by those objects, they stopped moving for a brief moment and then started again, once “Dark Gonzo” was away. The cloaked weirdo entered the room that Professor Xavier and Magneto were in with Jean Grey (who was in her “Phoenix” mode at the time), and Xavier had an uncomfortable feeling inside him, as “Dark Gonzo” walked by him.

“Have you come to tell me something?” Magneto asked, and “Dark Gonzo” only responded by holding his right arm up and aiming his hand at one of the corners in the room. Magneto and Xavier watched in amazement, as pieces of Scooter Grosse flew out of his palm and formed together in the corner, bringing Scooter back to life. Scooter looked around and was very surprised to find himself no longer in the Control Room at the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility and instead standing before Gonzo’s clone and three mutants.

“What’s going on here?!” Scooter exclaimed. “Where am I?”

“Don’t be afraid.” Xavier told him. “They’re not going to hurt you.”

“That’s right.” Magneto uttered, grinning at Scooter. “There is no fate that you’ll suffer here. But you’ll eventually suffer a fate great enough to wipe out Homo sapiens—and ordinary Muppets like yourself—everywhere.”

“Erik, stop it!” Xavier exclaimed. “You’re scaring him!”

“That’s the idea, Charles!” Magneto snapped. “You have to scare them, in order for the message to come across!”

“And I suppose that you used the same tactic to convert Gonzo into your group, just like you’re trying to do with Jean now!” Xavier retorted.

“You’re holding her back, Charles.” Magneto said. “You’ve always been holding her back from her true destiny.”

“Look, I realize that this is a personal matter, so I’ll just…” Scooter said, and he attempted to leave the room, until an invisible force pushed him back and pinned him against the wall. The nervous gofer at first thought it was the “Dark Gonzo” that held him back; but, for some reason, his glance was directed towards Jean Grey, who was wickedly glaring at him.

“You stay right where you are.” Phoenix said, just before she looked over at Xavier, with her anger seeming to be rising. “And you…STAY OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!” Her emotions were connected to her power, and when she became that angry, a lamp had flown across the room and crashed against the wall.

“Jean, listen to me.” Xavier said, calmly. “Concentrate! You can control the force that’s growing inside of you!” Jean (as the Phoenix) wasn’t going to allow her mind to be controlled by Xavier. Using her telekinesis, she moved Xavier’s wheelchair far away from her. Meanwhile, “Dark Gonzo” was keeping a careful eye on the frightened Scooter, who was still pinned against the wall.

“GET OUT!!!!” Jean told Xavier, who wasn’t easy to give up. Xavier just focused his attention on Jean, whose anger had grown so much that she closed up the entrance to the room, as well as any other open doors or windows in the house. Outside, Callisto could sense how unstable Jean was becoming, while Wolverine had suddenly grown impatient.

“That’s it!” He exclaimed, just before he extended his claws and charged towards the house. But before he could’ve gotten anywhere near the front gate, the mighty Juggernaut tackled him down with a powerful force. Wolverine had never felt such a force, but it didn’t keep him down; he got right back up on his feet and engaged in a brutal battle with Juggernaut.

Storm, meanwhile, had used her powers to create a massive gust of wind to carry her high up in the air and spin rapidly towards Arclight and Kid Omega. She was successful in knocking down the two mutants as they came near her, leaving Callisto being the only one that stood in her way. Storm fired a powerful lightning bolt that hit near Callisto, and the force sent the mutant crashing through the front door and into the living room. Entering the house, Storm found Callisto lying on the pile of rubble; but, in a quick flash, Callisto had moved from the floor to across the room, laughing wickedly.

“Check this out, weather-witch.” Callisto uttered, just before she moved at a remarkable speed towards Storm and punched her in the face. As Storm reeled back from the blow, Callisto appeared behind her, grabbing her head and smashing it through a glass coffee table. Both Storm and Wolverine were getting pounded fiercely by Callisto and Juggernaut, as there was a tremendous amount of telekinetic activity happening in the room that Jean, Xavier, Magneto, Scooter, and “Dark Gonzo” were in. Jean had reached a point in her “Phoenix” persona where only Xavier and the “Dark Gonzo” was the one that could withstand her force. Magneto attempted to stop her, but he found himself thrown through a wall by her power and ending up in the kitchen.

“No, Jean! Stop!” Magneto cried, as Xavier was lifted out of his wheelchair, still focusing on the Phoenix, whose face had gone from gorgeous to horrendous, mirroring the “true form” of the Phoenix being. Xavier’s clothing, as well as Xavier himself, was slowly beginning to deteriorate, signifying how much he was losing his telepathic hold on the Phoenix.

Back outside the house, Angelica Jones had arrived in the neighborhood with the Fraggles, just in time to see how Jean Grey’s old house was detaching itself from the ground and lifting itself high into the air. Even though he wasn’t in the house, Gobo could sense a lot happening in it; much of the telepathic power was too much for the small creature to handle, and he collapsed into the arms of Mokey.

“Gobo!” She exclaimed, and their attention moved away from the “flying” house and towards the emotionally weakened Gobo. “Are you alright?” Gobo blinked twice, before he was able to relieve himself from the pain in his head and look back at the hovering house.

“The Phoenix is in there…with Professor Xavier.” He informed, and Angelica took a deep breath, figuring that was her cue to step in and confront the powerful mutant. She was about to head over to the flying home, unsure of exactly how she was going to get into it from the ground, until Gobo used his telepathic power to hold her back. “No, Angelica! Now’s not the time for you to face here.”

“But you just said that Professor Xavier’s in there.” Angelica said. “If we don’t do anything now, then he might…” Before Angelica could finish, something unexpected had happened. The telepathic hold that was on the house had been lost, causing the whole thing to fall to the ground and crash violently. Angelica and the Fraggles each exchanged stunned looks before they dashed towards the demolished house. But they had soon stopped in their tracks (courtesy of Gobo’s telepathy) when Gobo had seen something wrong.

“They’re coming out.” Gobo said, just as Magneto and the “Dark Gonzo” stepped out of the wreckage, with Magneto’s arms around an unharmed Jean, whose face had reverted back to normal. The three passed right by Angelica and the Fraggles, as Juggernaut, Callisto, Kid Omega, and Arclight followed them close behind.

“They didn’t notice us?” asked Red, who was just as surprised that they hadn’t as Angelica, Mokey, Boober, and Wembley were. “What was that all about?”

“I manipulated their brainwaves to where they couldn’t see us.” Gobo said, and he sighed in a mixture of relief and worry. “We were just lucky enough that I was able to manipulate the Phoenix’s mind at the same time the house had collapsed.”

“So that is what Dr. Grey looks like as the Phoenix.” Angelica said, watching Jean walk away with the other Brotherhood members. “I’m not so worried anymore.”

“I wouldn’t underestimate her appearance if I were you.” Gobo told Angelica. “Though she may look completely normal, there’s a monster within her that doesn’t like to be contained.”

“Speaking of underestimating your opponents,” said a voice that was right near the group, and they looked to their left to see Jareth at the scene and juggling six glass balls, “I seem to have underestimated how powerful you seem to have become, Gobo.”

“Jareth.” Gobo uttered. “You can’t control Angelica Jones like you did back at the hospital, because I’ve got a mental block on her that not even you can break through.” Angelica glared at Jareth; being manipulated by someone that she hardly knew was one of her biggest pet peeves.

“And I suppose that you didn’t have to manipulate her into standing with you and your little friends.” Jareth contradicted.

“He didn’t manipulate me, you Criss Angel wannabe!” Angelica snapped. “He was honest enough to tell me what you and your Brotherhood buddies are planning to do with the human race.” She was careful not to let her anger get the best of her again, so she wouldn’t accidentally set fire to the lawn they were standing on. “What I don’t understand is why you’ve got to go and start some kind of war over this ‘cure’? I hate it, too. But you don’t see me going nuts.” Jareth stopped juggling the glass balls and formed them into one basketball-sized glass ball that he held in his hands.

“You want to know where the ‘cure’ came from?” Jareth said, and an image of a bald-headed child named Jimmy, but was nicknamed “Leech” by the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility that was holding him on Alcatraz Island. “This little boy. Interesting, isn’t it? Small portions of this child’s blood had been sucked out of him, just so the government can ‘cure’ us.” Gobo looked closely at Jareth’s face and noticed an expression on it that registered a bit of desperation.

“You want to be cured, don’t you?” Gobo asked Jareth, who looked at Gobo in surprise, wondering if the Fraggle had been tampering with his own mind. “I don’t sense it in you, Jareth. I can just tell by the look on your face that you actually wanted to be cured.” Jareth gave Gobo a blank stare and then grinned, as he “squeezed” the basketball-sized glass ball into a diamond that he had given to Angelica.

“It’s a shame that you hadn’t gotten the opportunity to know Charles Xavier.” Jareth told Angelica. “He was a great man.” On the word “was,” Angelica had become very alarmed and dashed into the wreckage of the demolished house, with the Fraggles following her. Jareth’s grin increased in size, as he slowly vanished from the scene.

Entering the room that Jean and Xavier faced off in, Angelica and the Fraggles found both Logan and Storm weeping next to Xavier’s empty wheelchair. Tears began to come down Angelica’s eyes, as she stared at the wheelchair, knowing for a fact that the group was too late in preventing Xavier from suffering his fate at the “hands” of the Phoenix. Wembley, Mokey, Red, and Boober were very distraught over Xavier’s death, but Gobo seemed to have known it coming, long before it happened. The only reason he didn’t tell the others or did anything to prevent it was that Xavier knew about it himself and instructed Gobo to just keep the others feeling strong and make the dream of humans and mutants living together in harmony come true.

Angelica walked over to the empty wheelchair and placed her hands on it, thinking about what it could’ve been like if she and Xavier had crossed paths. It was enough to make the young mutant decide to become an X-Man herself, in order to assist the others in keeping Xavier’s dream alive. Angelica’s attention was soon directed away from the wheelchair, as she heard someone whimpering nearby. She looked towards the corner of the ravaged room where Scooter still was, lying on the floor in a fetal position.

“Oh, no.” Angelica said, and she walked over to the horrified Scooter and comforted him. “Shhh. It’s okay, Scooter. Everything’s going to be alright.” Scooter was extremely frightened by the things that he had witnessed in the room, as the Phoenix and Xavier squared off. What horrified him the most was seeing how Xavier’s body had exploded into ashes, right before the house collapsed. He was frightened; but he was able to bring himself to tell Angelica something.

“I-I-I-I’m s-s-s-sorry.” He stammered, and Angelica was a little confused.

“Sorry for what, Scooter?” She asked.

“I-I-I-I’m s-sorry t-t-that I d-d-didn’t u-u-understand y-y-you a-and Go…Gon…Gonzo.” Scooter replied, and though his remark still wasn’t specific, she somehow understood what he meant.

“It’s okay, Scooter.” Angelica said. “I just wish there are more out there that are human enough to ask for forgiveness, too.” She gave Scooter a hug, as more tears were coming out of her eyes.

Oooooooooooooooooohmygosh! You expect me to go through that JeanGrey vs. Professor X scene again? Oh, the pain, the pain!!!

Well done with this recation, having missed half the other two stories I am not quite sure whom is whom, but I'm getting there. I did think that was Spike not Kid Omega though? But I may be wrong, i'm not an X-pert on the subject of X-men.

Wonderfully done... The scene with Gene vs. Xavier had to be here... And Angelica's message to Scooter at the end was very well said.

Yeah, it was a pretty painful scene for me to watch as well. Almost had me crying in the theater. But I felt that it needed to be brought into the story in order to find a reason for Firestar to stand with the X-Men (because in the comics, she never does) and for Scooter to learn to understand mutants.

And I found out that in fact was Kid Omega in the movie, but he had the same powers as Spike (or Quill).

Wonderfully done... The scene with Gene vs. Xavier had to be here... And Angelica's message to Scooter at the end was very well said.

Thanks, Count.:)

Chapter Seventeen

Weeks had passed since Xavier’s death, which was an unforeseen event that had everyone in the mansion in strong emotional pain, considering that they were all very close to the man. A funeral was held in the back of the mansion where the big garden was; Angelica, Scooter, several Gifted Youngsters, and fellow X-Men (including Hank McCoy, who had resigned from his position as Secretary of Mutant Affairs a few days ago) had attended, except for Wolverine, who stood on a balcony and watched from there. It was a very emotional moment for everyone, as Storm gave her eulogy before a large gravestone that had the side of Xavier’s head graven in marble into the stone.

The funeral lasted for two hours, and once it was finished, the X-Men were undecided on what they should do, since the head of the school was gone. It was Storm’s idea to just close up the school altogether and let everyone who attended there go back to their homes, to which Bobby replied, “Most of these kids don’t even have a home to go to.” Angelica, the Fraggles, and Scooter were also involved in the discussion, and Scooter (who was the only non-mutant in the group) suggested that the school should stay open; he also stated that he would help run the school if it did. The gofer’s offer surprised the X-Men; no human (or, in Scooter’s case, a Muppet) had ever ran the School for Gifted Youngsters, and if Scooter were to take on the duties, he’d be the first.

“Uh, hello?” said a voice that was followed by a knock on the door, and the group noticed Warren Worthington III (the son of the man responsible for the cure) standing in the doorway, carrying a black briefcase and wearing a suit and overcoat that seemed to have a bit of a hunchback (which, in reality, was a physical mutant abnormality that he hid from the public).

“Warren?” said Scooter, who knew the young man personally, since he and S.H.I.E.L.D. were so close to the pharmaceutical company that was responsible for the cure. “What are you doing here?” Warren seemed a bit reluctant over what he was about to say; it was obvious that he didn’t talk with his father first before coming to the mansion.

“I didn’t have anywhere else to go, Scooter.” Warren said. “Dad wanted me to take his cure; but something in me told me that it wasn’t the right thing to do. I mean, I like being who I am, and I’m not going to let anyone take that away from me.” Scooter, who had already gained a whole new respect for mutants everywhere, just nodded at Warren.

“You made the right choice, Warren.” Scooter said, just as Storm stood up and walked over to Warren.

“That’s right.” She said. “This school is always open for anyone that doesn’t have anywhere else to turn.” She took Warren’s suitcase and turned to Bobby Drake. “Bobby, could you show Warren where his new room will be?”

“Sure.” Bobby said, with a smile, before leading Warren out of the room. The X-Men were pleased that they decided to keep the school open; Warren’s arrival reminded each of them that it was important to keep Charles Xavier’s dream alive. It was a happy moment for everyone in that room, until there was a heavy tremor that shook the entire mansion violently, followed by a thunderous sound. Once the tremor ended, everyone looked around puzzlingly, with shocked expressions on their faces.

“What on earth was that?!” Beast exclaimed.

“Did you do that?” Wolverine asked Storm.

“No, it must’ve been something else.” Storm replied, while Wembley turned to Gobo, who was even more surprised than anyone else.

“Do you sense anything, Gobo?” He asked him, and Gobo closed his eyes to see if he could, but the Fraggle just sighed and opened his disappointed eyes.

“No, I don’t sense anything.” Gobo remarked, just before Kitty Pryde (a.k.a. “Shadowcat”) walked through one of the four walls in the room; she was out of breath and looked as if she had seen a ghost.

“You guys better come down to the foyer and see what’s down there!” Kitty said, and she walked through the wall again, while the others ran out the old-fashioned way. Once they had reached the foyer, where every youngsters in the mansion (including Bobby and Warren) were surrounding an object that had crashed through the roof (there was a beam of sunlight shining through the hole to show where it had landed). Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Angelica, and Scooter pushed their way through the crowd to stand near the crash site; there, nestled in a small crater on the floor with several nasty cracks around it, was a three-foot metallic, purple, egg-shaped container.

“What the **** is that?” Wolverine asked, as Beast looked from the “egg” to the hole in the roof, doing the math.

“The object is not of this world.” Beast said. “If anywhere, I’d say it came from space.” As soon as Beast had said that, Angelica remembered what Gobo had said back in the hospital, and there was only one person that she thought of as she dashed towards the “egg.”

“Gonzo.” Angelica said, and Storm tried to stop her before she got close to it, but something else had kept Angelica away. The “egg” opened itself up and emitted a thin purple beam of light that shot through the hole that it had come through; it went past the mansion’s rooftop, through the white clouds, and out of the Earth’s atmosphere. The light was so bright that the mansion residents had to shield their eyes away from it; one young mutant’s eyes were made out of lights that were brighter than the beam’s, so he didn’t had to shield anything.

“What’s going on?!?!” Logan exclaimed, and that’s when they heard someone screaming from outside. Both the beam and the “egg” had vanished, right before something (or someone) busted through the front doors of the mansion and collapsed into the foyer, landing before the feet of Scooter Grosse. The eyes of every mutant standing in that room widened in suspicion and surprise, as the body of Gonzo the Great stood itself up straight and faced a shocked Scooter.

“Gonzo?” Scooter murmured, and the weirdo looked around, noticing all of the familiar faces that were staring at him, and then he became completely hysterical.

“I’M BACK!!!!!!” He screamed, just before his body suddenly shot up like a rocket and bounced all around the room, surprising everyone that was ducking and dodging to avoid anyplace that he was going to bounce to next. Once Gonzo stopped bouncing, he landed back in front of Scooter. “Oh, wow! Do you know what I’ve been through, Scooter?! Do you know what I’ve discovered?!”

“I…I know already, Gonzo.” Scooter said.

“You do?!?!” Gonzo yelled, and he cheered, as he used his powers to levitate himself and everyone else around him high into the air; everyone saw how they were about eight feet off the ground and got a little nervous. One child had suffered from motion sickness and threw up, grossing out students that were around him.

“Whoa!” Wembley exclaimed. “This is the first time I flew without even telling myself to do it!” While everyone was levitated in a vertical position and floating in one spot, Gonzo’s body was horizontally floating and “swimming” around as if he was in a pool.

“I’m sure you’re enjoying yourself, Weirdo,” Wolverine said, a little frustrated, “But there are some of us that are having a vertigo thing going on right now!”

“Listen, Gonzo,” Scooter said, “I found out from Kermit long ago that you’re a mutant. And I just want to let you know that I…” Before Scooter could finish, a surprised look crept across Gonzo’s face, and he seemed to have lost the telekinetic hold that he had on the others, because they began falling towards the floor. Gonzo, the only one still levitating, floated himself up straight and focused on the others; before any of their bodies touched the floor, they were levitated for a brief period of time, before they fell an inch to the floor with a thud.

“A mutant?” Gonzo said, as Scooter go to his feet and looked up at him.

“I know what you are now, Gonzo.” Scooter said. “And I just want to let you know that I’ve learned to accept not just you but everyone else as well. I want to help the X-Men in their cause to bring people like me together with people like you, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, and others around the world.” Gonzo was flattered by Scooter’s change of heart, and he wished that the “mutant” side of him could be happy to hear that…that is, if there was a “mutant side.”

“Scooter,” Gonzo said, sighing as he floated back to the floor, “There’s something that not only you but everyone else here should know.” Gonzo took a deep breath, not exactly sure how his friends would react to what he was about to say next. “I’m not a mutant. I’m exactly what I discovered that I was a long time ago.” Scooter and the mutants were stunned by the fact that Gonzo wasn’t a mutant; and Scooter, Angelica, and the Fraggles seemed to be the only ones in the group that knew what he really was.

“If you’re not a mutant, then what are you?” Storm asked.

“He’s an alien.” Scooter said, and the youngsters talked amongst themselves, while the X-Men just stared at Gonzo in surprise.

“Wait a minute! Wait a minute!” Logan exclaimed. “You mean to tell me that this whole ‘X-Muppet’ thing was just a fluke?”

“I guess you can say it is, Logan.” Gonzo said. “I’m going through some kind of ‘cosmic phase’ right now that’s only temporary. Once my thirtieth year is over, I’ll just be an ordinary alien muppet.” The X-Men and the Gifted Youngsters seemed very disappointed; yet they were pleased that they had such a powerful character like Gonzo on their side. It was quiet in the room for a long time, as everyone looked to each other and smiled; finally, Beast had said…

“I believe I speak for everyone, Gonzo, when I say…who gives a crap what you are?” Beast said, and his comment not only surprised Gonzo but everyone else as well. “You are the most amazing character that we’ve ever had on our team. My fellow blue friend, you could be just the thing we need to stop Magneto and his Brotherhood in their quest to eliminate the ‘cure’.” Gonzo was honored to hear Beast say that, and he knew that everyone else felt the same way, as he noticed all of the faces that were smiling at him.

“I’m still the X-Muppet that I’ve been for months.” Gonzo said. “And I’ll stand with you all ‘til the very end.” Scooter smiled at Gonzo, as the two approached and embraced each other, like true friends were supposed to.

Cheers and applauds! Great to have the weirdo/alien/X-Muppet back...

Though there are certain fights we know are coming as the story continues and reaches its climax... But whatever happened to the Foster's gang? Were they released by S.H.I.E.L.D. after Dark Gonzo's attack? Or will they just pop up in the ending?
Look forward to more when you can post it.

It's funny you brought that up, because I was just thinking about how I'm going to deal with them, as well as the Kingdom Hearts gang from earlier on in the previous X-Men/Muppets story.

Dark Gonzo has this power to put people into limbo by turning their bodies into tiny molecules and sucking them into his palm, which was what he did to Kermit, Robin, and Scooter at the Control Room in the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility. It's a possibility (one that I'm not 100% certain of yet) that this is what could've happened to the Foster's gang, as well as the characters from Kingdom Hearts.

But...we're just gonna have to wait and see what happens, as I get the last three (or maybe two) chapters of the story posted.:)

This is the last chapter before the climatic one where Gonzo, the Fraggles, and the X-Men make their Last Stand.:)

Chapter Eighteen

The next day at the mansion, Bobby had discovered that Rogue was nowhere to be found, which made him think that the young mutant that he loved very much had decided to go and take the cure that mutants had been accepting over the past few weeks, thus turning them into normal human beings. Rogue had always hated her powers, because they kept her from touching the people that cared the most to her. Knowing exactly where Rogue could’ve been, Bobby had left the mansion went to one of the nearest pharmacies in Westchester to find and talk her out of what she was doing. Once he got there, he noticed a protesting mutant mob that had formed across the street from the pharmacy, which had a line of mutants waiting to be cured.

Standing amongst the many mutants in the mob that were crying, “No to the cure!”, Bobby desperately looked past several picket signs that had the same message written on them to see if Rogue was standing in that line of soon-to-be-cured mutants. What he failed to notice though were four figures that were walking towards him; two of these figures were big and ominous, while the other two were smaller (one being the shortest of the bunch). Bobby noticed them in the corner of his right eye and turned his head to see that it was Pyro, Leon, Sweetums, and Doglion.

“Going off to take the cure so you can go back home to Mommy and Daddy?” Pyro teased, and Bobby seriously wasn’t in the mood in confront the four meanest members of the Brotherhood.

“I bet he’s just itchin’ to be cured.” Leon uttered. “He might as well go off and cure himself, since his Professor is dead!” That comment made Bobby furious; his fists were clenched so hard that they began to turn into hard cold ice. The four Brotherhood members noticed that and they braced themselves for one serious fight. Pyro ignited a small flame from a fire-creating device that was attached to his wrist, turning it into a small fireball. Leon had also done a freaky trick with his own right hand, which horrifically morphed into a hideous, scaly, clawed version of itself.

“And this is only half of what I can do with my body.” Leon told Iceman, who noticed how Sweetums and Doglion were readying themselves for another brawl. He knew that it’d be an unfair battle, considering it was four against one.

“Look,” Bobby said, “I didn’t come here to cause any trouble. I’m just looking for a friend of mine.” Pyro and Leon both grinned in the most wicked way, knowing who Bobby was looking for.

“Oh,” Pyro said, looking towards Leon, “His girlfriend.”

“Figures. I’d always knew she was a wuss.” Leon said. “Mutant or human, she still wouldn’t look good in a bikini.” Bobby was about to come at Leon, until Pyro stood in front of the lizard-like mutant/muppet and blocked Bobby’s path.

“You wanna make your move on someone, why not start out with me…Iceman?” Pyro said, and the way he said Bobby’s nickname told the mutant that Pyro was just waiting for the opportunity to destroy him. However, Bobby didn’t want to put any of the people around them in serious danger, so he backed away from the Brotherhood mutants and started to leave.

“Just like your girl…a wuss!!” Leon exclaimed.

“Always running from a fight, Bobby!” Pyro shouted, just before he shot out a huge flame at the pharmacy across the street and destroyed the entire building. Everyone, including Bobby, ducked as the building erupted in flames, while Pyro, Leon, Sweetums, and Doglion immediately fled the scene. Little did the four know that they were being tailed by Wolverine, who was also at the scene and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle away from it.

Moments later, Wolverine had followed Pyro, Leon, Sweetums, and Doglion into the wilderness, where several Brotherhood mutants had secretly formed. Luckily, Wolverine found a hooded coat that he could wear to cover his appearance. He stood amongst a large group of mutants, as they listened to Magneto, who stood on a hill with the most powerful mutants in his Brotherhood: Juggernaut, Waldo C. Graphic, Multiple Man, Pyro, Leon, Callisto, Kid Omega, Sweetums, Doglion, Arclight, Dark Gonzo, and the Phoenix.

“My brothers we come together here at this time because the government wishes to help us…they wish to ‘cure’ us of our ‘disease’.” Magneto said, and all of the mutants in the crowd booed. “But I say we are the cure of the infectious disease known as Homo sapiens!” The mutant crowd cheered over Magneto’s words. “And we must wipe out every single one of them, if we wish for mutants everywhere to stand until the end of time!” The mutants’ cheers increase with every positive note that Magneto made. “The humans have their weapon…and we have ours.” He looked over at the Phoenix, who stood on one side of the hill, and then at the “Dark Gonzo,” who stood on the other.

“We muppet-mutants have to be together on this, too!” Leon yelled, and all of the muppet-mutants in the crowd cheered. “Do you guys wanna go on singing and dancing for a bunch of normal crazies who don’t even pay us enough to do all that mess?!”

“NO!!!!!” The muppet-mutants screamed.

“Then my brothers we must take this weapon...this poison that the government has conjured up and use it against them!!” Magneto demanded, and the crowd roared. “If we stand together, then I assure you…NOTHING WILL STOP US!!!!” The crowd let out a roaring applause that echoed throughout the wilderness. Wolverine couldn’t believe the display of mutants and muppet-mutants that stood around him; it was almost uncanny. However, the only thing he cared about was Jean Grey, who spotted him in the crowd and started walking away. As Wolverine chased after her, “Dark Gonzo” spotted him also and knew exactly what the X-Man was planning to do.

“Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!” Sweetums & Doglion shouted, and the two stopped cheering as the “Dark Gonzo” had approached them and gestured for them to follow him. The two monstrous mutants acknowledged and were led away from the campgrounds and further into the wilderness, where Wolverine saw Jean from across from where he was standing.

“Jean?” He uttered, and the Phoenix looked back at him, with an emotionless look on her face, and then turned to continue walking. Logan attempted to chase after her, until Doglion and Sweetums dropped down from one of the trees and blocked his path.

“Where do ya think you’re goin’, wimp?” Sweetums asked, and Wolverine was a little intimidated by their appearance, but all he had to do was remember Sabretooth and that intimidation went away.

“Don’t you boys have some beauty salon to go to?” Logan uttered, and he quickly ducked, as Sweetums swung his huge arm at him. Doglion then stepped up and grabbed Logan, throwing him across the air. When Wolverine flew by one of the trees, he extended the claws and dug them into a tree, making his body swing around it; afterwards, he detached his claws from it and flew back over to a surprised Sweetums and a shocked Doglion. The two muppets-mutants were knocked down by Wolverine, as his feet came in contact with their chests. He looked down at them, as they laid unconscious on the ground. “I would’ve given you a taste of my adamantium, but I don’t think I’m ready to see if I’d be cutting through foam or flesh.”

With Sweetums and Doglion defeated, Logan retracted his claws and attempted to go and find Jean again; but he was halted in his plans, as there was a sharp, excruciating pain in his head that forced the claws in his hands to come back out again. Wolverine fell to his knees and started screaming, as the “Dark Gonzo” appeared in front of him, looking down upon him with purple eyes that glowed from underneath his hood. Logan’s eyes felt as if they were going to pop out of his head, as his body collapsed to the ground. The “Dark Gonzo” stood over his body, still using his mighty powers to create the powerful pain in Logan’s head, as he spoke with a raspy voice that was as dark and foreboding as his appearance was.

“After you have awakened from the seven-hour slumber that I am going to put you under, give my ‘other’ this message…” He kneeled close to Logan’s trembling body, putting his right hand over his head as he whispered into his ear. Logan could feel his cold breath chill his ear. “There can be only one Gonzo…only one.” Upon moving his hand away from Logan’s head, Logan stopped trembling and screaming, as the pain went away, leaving him to slowly drift off to sleep. “Dark Gonzo” stood his body up straight, right before it had disappeared.

Yeah... Knew the scene with Magneto's speech about the cure had to come... Awaiting more whenever it is you manage to post it.

I just wanted to point out that as powerful as that speech was, it was really hard to memorize for the story. The only thing that I got out of it was how Homo sapiens were a disease and how the mutants were the cure, and how Jean was the mutants' weapon, and the infamous line "Nothing can stop us!"

I'm not sure if I'm going to see the movie again this evening or not, but I do know that I'll get the final chapter and the epilogue in before the weekend's over. I'm just surprised that I'd gotten this much done since the movie first came out a week ago.:D

Well then... Post away.
Although... Isn't Multiple Man supposed to be with the X-Men? And I'm not sure if Waldo meshes well with the other Brotherhood members. From what I remember of his personality in JHH, he seems far too goofy to be roped into the evilness of the Brotherhood.

There were a lot of characters from the comics that were never meant to be villains, but ended up becoming members of the Brotherhood in the movie. Psylocke, Arclight, and Kid Omega (a.k.a. Spike) aren't supposed to be Brotherhood villains either. And I heard somewhere that Multiple Man is a villain in the "Ultimate Marvel" universe.

The reason I'd put Waldo into the Brotherhood was because Multiple Man seemed kind of goofy to me in the movie (and so did Juggernaut, now that I mention it), so I just thought a bizarre character like Waldo would fit in with the bunch.:)

Chapter Nineteen will be split into parts, since it's such a climatic chapter.:)

Chapter Nineteen: Part One

At dusk in San Francisco, there was quite a traffic jam happening on the Golden Gate Bridge. Several Muppets were riding in the Electric Mayhem bus, trying to get to the newly refurbished KMUP station, which had been destroyed months ago by the Hulk and about to have its grand reopening. One of the muppets that was waiting impatiently for the traffic jam to be over was J.P. Grosse—the uncle of Scooter Grosse—who was talking to Scooter over his cellular phone. J.P. was a little upset to find out that Scooter wasn’t even at the station yet; he expected the gofer to be there in order to give an opening speech before cutting the red ribbon.

“Why are you still in New York, nephew?!” J.P. exclaimed. “How am I supposed to have a grand reopening when there’s no one there to open the station?!?!” Though J.P. believed that Scooter was still in New York, the gofer was in fact right across from where J.P. was on the Golden Gate Bridge; he was in the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility on Alcatraz Island, where S.H.I.E.L.D. agents that he contacted upon leaving the mansion in Westchester had graciously taken him to. He stood in a surveillance room with Nick Fury as he spoke to his uncle over the phone.

“I’m sorry.” Scooter told him. “But something more important had come up, Uncle.”

“What could be more important than the grand reopening of the KMUP station?!” J.P. exclaimed. “You of all people should know how important this is, since you were the one that nearly destroyed it! You and that…that…whatever that green behemoth was!”

“Everyone calls him the Hulk, Uncle.” Scooter said. “And, like I told you, I was a raving monster at the time, and—for the billionth time—I’m sorry for what happened.”

“Speaking of mutated freaks, your absence from KMUP’s grand reopening has got nothing to do with those mutants that the world has been talking about lately, does it?” J.P. queried, with a hint of hostility in his voice that reminded Scooter of how he sounded a while back and made him feel glad that he had changed his image on mutants.

“No, Uncle…it doesn’t.” Scooter lied, still hiding from his uncle the fact that he had been a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. since the KMUP station incident. “Look, I really have to go. There’s someone here that really needs my help.”

“You’re breaking my heart, Scooter! You know that?” said J.P., in a feeble attempt to sound like he was really sad. “You’re…You’re breaking your poor, sweet old uncle’s heart!”

“Uncle, you’re anything but sweet…or even poor for that matter.” Scooter said, just before he hung up his cellular phone and turned to Nick Fury, who he had been trying to convince that the group from Foster’s wasn’t mutants. “You have to let them go, General. They’re not the mutants that you think they are.”

“The people that we have in that cell don’t even look normal, Grosse!” Fury retorted.

“Four of those people that you’ve got locked away are human beings!” Scooter exclaimed.

“That doesn’t mean they don’t have mutant blood in them.” Fury contradicted.

“Doesn’t the President even know that you have them here?” Scooter asked.

“Yes, he does.” Fury replied. “And even he thinks it’s best that they stay contained, until we start curing them one-by-one.”

“But your cure might kill them! Don’t you realize that?!” Scooter exclaimed, and his comment seemed to angering Fury.

“Look! There are bigger things happening here than the people in that cell!” Fury shouted, and the debate that he and Scooter had engaged in was attracting the attention of many soldiers around them that had looked away from their controls and towards the two. “Magneto has issued a threat over broadcasted television only a couple of hours ago, and we’re one hundred percent certain that it has to do with Leech.”

“There are a lot of things happening right now that has to do with Leech, which is why we should evacuate him and everyone else, including the ‘mutants’ from Foster’s, before…” A phone near him and Fury that was ringing interrupted Scooter. When Fury answered it, an image of a heavily armored S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in the wilderness in Westchester (where night had apparently fallen) was projected on a large screen in front of him; the agent’s voice was heard through the receiver that Fury placed near his ear.

“General Fury, we believed that we had found the entire Brotherhood army here, but it turned out that it was just Multiple Man and Waldo C. Graphic, using their copying powers to fool us.” The agent informed. “But we now have both of them in custody, and we’ve also cured two other mutants in the process.” An image of a cured Sweetums and Doglion appeared on the screen, as they were led into a S.H.I.E.L.D. shuttle with Multiple Man and Waldo.

“Well, that four mutants that we have.” Fury said, just as one of the controls started beeping. Fury pressed a button that brought up an image of the U.S. President next to the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent’s. “Mr. President.”

“General Fury.” The President said. “Do you have an update on your search?”

“I just received news that we’ve contained four mutants only a moment ago, and two of the most dangerous ones have been cured.” Fury informed. “Unfortunately, not one of them was the mutant that we’ve been searching for.”

“There is no doubt that Magneto will be coming to that island to kill the boy.” The President assumed. “Stay there and keep that island heavily guarded. With the plastic cure guns that we had swapped for the metal ones, we’ll be sure to stop that menacing mutant for sure.”

“I have the same feeling, Mr. President.” Fury said, just before he hung up the phone and turned to Scooter. “So much for your evacuation idea.” Scooter was upset, disappointed, and worried as well; he believed the S.H.I.E.L.D. forces were highly underestimating the power of Magneto and his Brotherhood.

-------------

The traffic jam on the Golden Gate Bridge was lighting up, and all of the vehicles on the bridge were moving along a lot quicker than they were. J.P. Grosse couldn’t have been happier to see how fast they were moving across the bridge; he gazed at his watch and realized that they were going to get to the KMUP station just in time for the grand reopening. Behind the seat that he was sitting in, Johnny Fiama and Sal Manilla were going over the opening number that they were going to perform, shortly before the red ribbon was cut.

“Sal, baby, Sal!” Johnny said, interrupting the monkey as he was singing a verse from the song. “I’m not liking this one line that you wrote in the song.”

“What line is it, Johnny?” Sal asked. “Whatever line it is, I’ll erase from the page and replace it with whatever line you like, Johnny! So what line is it?”

“This one that says ‘Your memories are like bananas…every time you peel them, there’s something special inside’.” Johnny indicated, and Sal was a bit distraught, considering that his friend wanted him to throw away what he thought was the best line in the song. “But, hey, since it’s for the grand reopening of the KMUP station, then we’ll keep it.”

“No, no, Johnny! We’ll get rid of it!” Sal exclaimed.

“Sal, in a few minutes, we’re gonna be singing this song in front of thousands of people.” Johnny said. “Let’s just keep things the way they are and try to memorize it all.”

“But, Johnny, if you’re not happy with it, then let’s just rewrite the line.” Sal said.

“Oy! Why did I ever say anything?” Johnny uttered, and he & Sal continued arguing over whether or not they should keep the line, until a violent shake in the bus quieted them and everyone else on the bus. “W-What the heck just happened?!” All of the Muppets in the bus noticed how every vehicle on the bridge, including their bus, had suddenly stopped.

“Like, why did we stop?” Janice said.

“I don’t know. But my big, green, sandaled foot was definitely not on that brake.” Dr. Teeth said, just as they heard the sound of several cars screeching and crashing. They looked behind them to see other cars being “thrown” to the both sides of the bridge, clearing a path for Magneto and a massive army of mutants. All of the Muppets in the bus, except for J.P. Grosse (who was very upset), had become very alarmed and attempted to jump out of the bus; but it seemed as if everything on the bridge, including the windows and doors on the Electric Mayhem bus, was under Magneto’s magnetic control, thus trapping the Muppets in the bus.

“Can you believe it, man?” Floyd asked Zoot. “We’re being attacked by those dopes of ‘Mutant Central’!”

“Better than aliens.” Zoot remarked, and after Magneto brushed away five more vehicles, he and the other mutants stopped ten feet away from the Electric Mayhem bus and grinned at its passengers. J.P. Grosse used all the might he had in him to push down one of the windows, allowing himself to stick his head out to scream at Magneto and the Brotherhood army.

“What do you freaks think you’re doing?!” J.P. shouted, and the other Muppets were a little worried of the way he was addressing the mutants.

“Uh, Mr. Grosse?” Clifford said. “I really don’t think it’s smart to talk to these people like that.”

“They’re just mindless genetic accidents, Cliff.” J.P. said, not knowing how much he was angering every member of the Brotherhood.

“Sir, I have a bit of advice for a pesky regular like yourself.” Magneto told J.P. “Never insult a man who has more powerful than you.” And with that, Magneto unleashed a massive wave of magnetic energy over the Golden Gate Bridge, allowing himself to do something quite remarkable.

The Muppets in the Electric Mayhem bus held on tight to their seats, as they felt an enormous tremor. They couldn’t believe their eyes as they saw how the entire Golden Gate Bridge was moving away from its usual spot and heading towards Alcatraz Island. Other passengers watched from their vehicles at the magnificent way Magneto was using his magnetic powers to manipulate the enormous portion of the bridge over the waters.

Inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility, Scooter was sharing his amazement with Fury and the other agents in the room, as they watched the portion of the bridge soar in their direction on a giant monitor. As an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fury had seen things that were beyond imagination; but from what he was seeing on the monitor, it was obvious to him that he wasn’t dealing with any ordinary mutant (if there was such a thing).

“I bet you wished you’d evacuated when you had the chance.” Scooter told Fury.

Several S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers held their positions around the island; but some were forced to jump out of the way, as Magneto released his magnetic hold on the bridge and made it crash to the ground with a tremendous thud. The Muppets inside the Electric Mayhem bus were astounded by what they had just went through; even J.P. Grosse’s anger was relinquished by an overwhelming sensation of shock.

“Something tells me we ain’t gonna make it to the grand reopening, man.” Clifford said, while Magneto looked back and admired the way he had rerouted the Golden Gate Bridge.

“Charles always wanted to build bridges.”

Chapter Nineteen: Part Two

Night had fallen over Alcatraz Island, as well as the city of San Francisco, as several citizens stared in awe over what Magneto had done to the Golden Gate Bridge; some of the people that had gathered for KMUP’s reopening were instead interesting in what was happening on Alcatraz. On the famous landmark, the Brotherhood stood on a mountain of rubble, as they observed the exterior of the pharmaceutical company/S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. They stood there and looked like bloodthirsty animals, as they waited for Magneto to give the word to Pyro.

“Let’s end this.” He said, and Pyro grinned, as he turned to the others and shouted.

“LET’S TEAR IT DOWN!!!!!” Pyro yelled, and the Brotherhood members roared, as they charged towards the facility. It was only the less powerful mutants that went down to tear up the facility; Magneto, Leon, Pyro, Callisto, Arclight, and some of the most powerful mutants in the group stood back, which confused Leon a little.

“Hey, how come we got to stay here, while they have all the fun?” Leon asked.

“Because, my friend, there is a tactic in chess to where the pawns must go first.” Magneto replied, and Leon was more puzzled than ever.

“But I don’t play chess, man.” Leon uttered, and they watched the lesser members charge up to the facility, only to be confronted by several S.H.I.E.L.D. guards that began firing their cure guns at them. One by one, Brotherhood mutants became ordinary beings, once they were struck by darts that contained the cure serum (which was actually Leech’s blood).

“Homo sapiens and their guns.” Magneto uttered, as he attempted to strip the cure guns apart with his magnetism, only to realize that his powers had no affect on them. “Plastic! The guns are plastic!!”

“Oh, man.” Leon said. “Now we’re in some real trouble.”

“Let’s not lose hope, brother.” Magneto told Leon, right before he turned to a mutant that was as equally as powerful as he was. “Arclight, create a shockwave that’ll destroy those guns.”

“You got it.” Arclight said, and she warmed up her hands, just before she clapped them together, generating a powerful shockwave from her hands that destroyed all of the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers’ weapons.

“Yeah, baby! YEAH!!!” Leon exclaimed, and he grinned at Magneto. “Just like you said, Mages. There’s no one that can stop us now.”

For a moment, it seemed as if the Brotherhood was an unstoppable force; with the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stripped of their artillery, there was no possible way for them to retreat, as long as the Brotherhood army had them surrounded. Inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Scooter and Fury watched the monitors nervously with other worried soldiers. Soon the images on those monitors began to scramble up, and for a second, the group believed that the Brotherhood had taken control of the base. But as the images returned to the screens, they realized that it wasn’t the Brotherhood that had screwed up the power; it was the X-Men, as they landed their jet on the roof, which they had jumped off from and lined up in front of the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers.

“What are they doing here?!” Fury exclaimed, not very pleased to see the X-Men at the scene. “Did they come to help out their mutant brethren?”

“On the contrary, General.” Scooter said. “They’re here to help us out.”

“And how can you be so sure about that, Grosse?” Fury asked.

“Because I’ve gotten to know these people for weeks, spending time with them in their mansion.” Scooter told Fury. “At first I thought they were no better than Magneto and his goons, but when I learned that a good friend of mine was one of them, something in me said that they are really the only ones that can stop the Brotherhood, and not S.H.I.E.L.D. So, if I were you, I’d let these noble people help us in the situation at hand.” Fury was a little surprised (and impressed) over the assertive attitude that the gofer had suddenly gained; he wondered if some of himself was beginning to rub off.

Outside the building, the X-Men and the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers had engaged in a fierce battle with the Brotherhood. Gonzo had displayed some remarkable powers, as he formed his own body into a ten-foot “bowling ball” version of it and squashed several of the muppet-mutants. After that, he found himself circled by Brotherhood members that attempted to tackle him down, until he emitted a bright light from his body that permanently blinded the Brotherhood members and sent them reeling back in pain.

“Don’t mess with the X-Muppet, boys!” Gonzo exclaimed, and he went to fight against more members, as the Fraggles unveiled some amazing powers of their own. Red had manipulated her growth to where she was at least twenty feet tall and swatted several Brotherhood members with her humungous arm, making them fly across the air and smack against the exterior walls of the facility.

“I cannot believe all of this violence is happening!” Mokey exclaimed, as she unleashed a secondary power that Gobo helped bring out of her on several mutants, which involved warping their minds and putting them under a coma. “We supposed to be creatures of peace…not destruction!” As he was fighting alongside Beast and the Fraggles, Wolverine heard what Mokey had said and grinned.

“Tell that to the diplomat over here.” Wolverine said, referring to Beast, who was clobbering several Brotherhood mutants.

“My boy, there are times when one must ignore diplomacy and…” If there was one thing Beast couldn’t do, it was fight and talk about diplomacy at the same time. “Oh, you people get the point!!!” While the X-Men were attracting the attention of the Brotherhood members, the S.H.I.E.L.D. were able to regroup and bring out grenade launchers. Only these guns didn’t fire ordinary grenades; they fired grenades that contained cure darts that showered over the atmosphere, as they exploded in the air. A great amount of Brotherhood members were hit by the darts as they were showering over them. Some darts attempted to fly towards Magneto and some other members, but the “Dark Gonzo” created a powerful forcefield that vaporized the darts once they hit it.

“We mustn’t waste anymore time.” Magneto said, turning to Juggernaut, Callisto, Arclight, Psylocke, and Kid Omega. “Find the ones responsible for all of this and eliminate them.” The five mutants did as they were told, and as they had charged towards the facility, Pa Gorg turned to Ma and Junior Gorg, lifting his arm high in the air with pride.

“Gorgs, we must assist those mutants as they march off to elimination the source of our extinction.” Pa Gorg stated. “Let’s go help them!”

“Right, Daddy!” Junior exclaimed, and they ran alongside the Juggernaut, joining him as he crashed right through a steel wall. The Fraggles noticed how the Gorgs and Juggernaut had broken through the wall and became nervous.

“They’re going to kill the source of the cure!!” Gobo shouted.

“Not if Kitty and I get there first!” Wembley said, just before he and Shadowcat ran towards a wall and both of them ran through it, much to the surprise of Gonzo, who witnessed the strange occurrence.

“You mean Wembley can walk through walls, too?!” Gonzo exclaimed.

“Kind of a strange secondary power for a Fraggle like him, eh?” Gobo remarked, just as his eyes had locked with Jareth’s, who had suddenly appeared on the battleground, grinning at the young Fraggle. Gobo read Jareth’s mind, and Jareth’s read his; they both seemed to be after the same thing and vanished from sight in an attempt to get to it first.

Inside the facility, the Juggernaut was crashing through several walls with the Gorgs, leaving behind scattered pieces of it on the floor. But they had soon stopped when they came to a room that Wembley was all alone in. The small creature looked a little worried, as the four gigantic figures slowly walked towards him; Pa Gorg and the Juggernaut were laughing hysterically.

“Are we supposed to be intimidated by one little Fraggle?” Pa Gorg uttered.

“I can’t believe this is the best that those X-Morons can throw at us.” Juggernaut commented. “I can squash this little pipsqueak with one blow.”

“Hey, don’t ya know it’s bad luck to squash a Fraggle?” Junior told Juggernaut.

“It’d be bad luck not to.” Juggernaut remarked, as he got closer to Wembley.

“I think you’d better listen to him.” Wembley said.

“And I think it’s time for someone to die!” Juggernaut exclaimed, and he attempted to squash Wembley with his big left foot, but when he felt something grab him by the ankles, he looked down and noticed how the lower half of his body was sinking to the floor, along with his forearms. “What the…?!” He then noticed someone rising out through the floor in front of him. It was Shadowcat, who was grinning at Juggernaut as she stood next to Wembley.

“Sucks to be you.” Shadowcat told him, right before she and Wembley escaped through the wall, leaving some puzzled Gorgs and an angry Juggernaut.

“Don’t you know who I am? I’m the Juggernaut, #*@!!” He screamed, as he busted himself out from the floor and turned to the Gorgs. “Let’s get ‘em!!!” The Juggernaut and the Gorgs continued busting through walls, in order to get to the source of the cure and attempt to pulverize Shadowcat and Wembley. The young X-Man and the Fraggle had reached the room that Leech (the source of the cure) had been kept in, finding him hiding behind his bed, with his hands over his ears.

“There he is.” Wembley said, and as Shadowcat approached the frightened Leech, he began to struggle, but Kitty was able to help him calm down.

“It’s okay. It’s okay.” She said, and the boy just stared into her eyes, realizing that she and Wembley were just there to help. “We’re the good guys.”

“I just can’t believe there are bad ones that want to hurt me.” Leech uttered, and Kitty grinned confidently.

“They aren’t going to touch you, as long as we’re here.” Kitty said, and when they heard the muffled crashing noises that were coming from behind the wall, the three mutants braced themselves. “We have to get out of here.” But as Wembley and Shadowcat (with Leech close to her) attempted to run through a wall, they only found themselves running into it.

“Ouch!” Wembley exclaimed, and he & Kitty looked at the wall puzzlingly. “What happened? Did we lose our powers all of the sudden?”

“You do when you’re around me.” Leech told Wembley, who exchanged a stunned look with Kitty, just as the Juggernaut and the Gorgs crashed into the room and glared at the three mutants in front of them. Kitty gestured for Leech and Wembley to stand behind her, as the four Brotherhood mutants slowly approached them.

“I’m not the type of guy to play hide and seek with, kids!” Juggernaut said.

“Oh, I am! I love to play whenever Pa’s not giving me chores to do!” Junior exclaimed.

“Junior! Keep quiet!” Pa Gorg ordered, while Kitty, Wembley, and Leech were hugging the wall behind them. As Kitty looked back at the wall and then towards Leech, she got an idea.

“Who’s hiding, d******d?!” Kitty remarked, which really upset Juggernaut. Both him and the Gorgs charged towards the three young mutants, and once they came near them, Kitty pulled Leech and Wembley away in time for the Juggernaut and the Gorgs to hit the wall hard and knock themselves out. Once Wembley saw the way their bodies ran into the wall, he knew exactly what happened and smiled at Shadowcat.

“Whoa! Great idea, Kitty!” He said.

“Thanks.” She said, and she led Leech and Wembley away from the area, running through the many holes that the Juggernaut and the Gorgs had created in the walls.

Chapter Nineteen: Part Three

Sarah, Hoggle, Ludo, Sir Didymus, and the Foster’s group had been waiting in the holding cell for several minutes; they had debated amongst themselves over whether they were going to be sentenced to death or spend the rest of their natural lives in captivity. They had given up on the debate and just sat in the holding cell quietly for at least twelve hours. But the silence had been broken when Gobo and Jareth had appeared in front of the cell, both still staring at each other. Sarah, Hoggle, Ludo, and Sir Didymus couldn’t believe their eyes, as they saw Jareth standing before them in person.

“How did he get here?!” Hoggle exclaimed.

“Are you the one responsible for what’s been happening, Jareth?” Sarah asked, with an angry look on her face, and Jareth looked over at her, smiling.

“No, Sarah.” Jareth said. “I’m here to help you escape from the cell that you and your friends have been wrongfully imprisoned in.” Jareth used his powers to make the electrically-powered cell door disappeared before the eyes of Sarah and the others, allowing them to simply walk out.

“It’s a trick! It must be!” Didymus exclaimed.

“No tricks this time, Sir Didymus.” Jareth said. “I’ve just come to rescue you all from the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization that accused you all of being mutants.”

“But why don’t you tell them the real reason you’re releasing them, Jareth?” Gobo said. “Why don’t you tell them how you’re leading them into their termination at the hands of Magneto and the Brotherhood?”

“Who’s the real villain here?” Bloo said, and he pointed at Gobo. “You! That’s who! And you wanna know why you’re the villain? Because you’re trying to fool us into believing that such a great imaginary friend like Magneto is going to turn against all of us.” Gobo just shook his head and then used his powers to transport himself, Jareth, and the Foster’s residents from the inside of the facility to the battlefield outside. The Foster’s residents couldn’t believe all of the chaos that had erupted outside, as they watched Storm electrocute Callisto to death, Warren Worthington II being hurled off the roof by Arclight, Psylocke, and Kid Omega—only to be rescued by his son, Angel, who had swooped in just in time to catch him and carry him away, and Magneto levitating cars from the bridge while Pyro and Taranee lighted them up, creating fireballs out of flaming vehicles that had rained down on S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers.

“Man! This is like something out of a science fiction movie!” Frankie uttered, just as Gonzo landed near them, after being hurled several feet across the air by a ten-foot horrifying lizard, which was really the mutant-muppet known as Leon. “Hey! There’s Mages right now! Hey, Magneto!” But Gonzo didn’t hear Frankie; instead, he just ran right by the group, as Leon was chasing right after him, only to be snatched by Red, who was ten times larger than him, and thrown off the island and into the water surrounding it.

“I wonder why he didn’t hear you, Frankie.” Mac said, a little confused.

“Because I’m cloaking our appearance, just to show you that the person that you call ‘Magneto’ doesn’t go by that name.” Gobo informed, just before he pointed to the real Magneto, who was grinning wickedly at the display before him. “That is Magneto.” The Foster’s group gawked at Magneto with mixed emotions of fear and shock; the mutant looked very menacing to them and was nothing like the character that had been referring to by his name.

“That old dude’s Magneto?!?!” Frankie exclaimed.

“I dunno.” Bloo uttered. “He looks more like an ‘Otis’ to me.” Sarah looked as if she was very upset with Jareth for trying to fool her and her friends again into a situation that would’ve no doubt killed them, if Gobo hadn’t intervened.

“Same old Jareth…only this time you’ve reached a whole new low.” Sarah said, and Jareth looked very defeated, as he used his powers to make Sarah and her friends disappear from the scene and return them back to the Foster’s mansion (with no recollection of the recent events they were involved in), leaving just him and Gobo to stare at each other again.

“Why must you meddle in my affairs, Fraggle?” Jareth told Gobo, who seemed to have understood how he felt.

“You love her…don’t you?” Gobo asked, and Jareth nodded, his face registering a very sad expression. Gobo sighed, realizing exactly why Jareth wanted to be cured. On the ground, he noticed one of the cure darts that the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers had been firing; using his telekinetic powers he raised the dart off the ground and made it hover in front of Jareth’s face. When Jareth noticed the cure dart in his face, he just smiled at Gobo, with actual tears streaming down his face. “Be free, Jareth.” Gobo manipulated the dart to where it was shot directly into Jareth’s left shoulder. He looked down at the dart, as it stuck out of his shoulder, feeling its effects take over.

Jareth looked away from the dart and back at Gobo, giving the young Fraggle a happy look. However, that happy look had soon become a grin, and that grin was soon accompanied by a wicked glare. Gobo was confused, and he was even more puzzled as he watched Jareth laugh hysterically. The Fraggle believed he had cured the mutant, but he feared that he might’ve done something that only strengthen his abilities. Before Gobo knew it, Jareth had vanished before him, leaving the W.I.T.C.H. girls to regain their composure and notice the sudden battle that they had unexpectedly found themselves in.

“Where are we?!?!” Cornelia exclaimed.

“How did we get here?!” Will shouted, and before anything could happen to the stunned and unprepared girls, Gobo used his powers to vanish them from Alcatraz Island, returning them back to New York (also with no recollection the recent events), even reforming the Heart of Candracar (which Will had crushed) and returning it back around her neck. The Fraggle was still unsure as to what he had done to Jareth, but he didn’t let it interfere as he helped his companions finish off the rest of the Brotherhood mutants.

Chapter Nineteen: Part Four

Magneto couldn’t believe how quickly the tide had changed during the battle; all of the members of his Brotherhood were either killed, cured, crippled, or drowned. When he finally sent Pyro in to challenge Iceman (leaving only “Dark Gonzo” and the Phoenix to stand by his side), he didn’t expect Gonzo to sent in Firestar to assist Bobby. Pyro had his hands full as he was shooting out two flames from opposite sides of his body, one at Firestar and the other at Iceman. For a moment, it seemed as if the force of the flames were too much for even Firestar to handle.

“You kiddies should’ve stayed in school!” Pyro exclaimed, with a confident grin on his face. But that grin soon faded away from his face, when Firestar and Iceman began pushing the flames towards Pyro, who found himself too weak to manipulate them anymore. As the two X-Men were pushing the flames, something amazing had happened to the both of them. Iceman’s body had “iced-up,” making him look like a walking, moving ice sculpture; and Firestar’s body had glowed, just like it did back in the Happiness Hotel, except in a brighter color. The two extinguished Pyro’s flames, right before Firestar had kicked him in the groin and Iceman head-butted him, knocking him out…cold.

“And you never should’ve left.” Iceman told the unconscious Pyro.

“Punk!” Firestar added, just before she and Iceman gave each other a high-five, only to have Iceman’s hand nearly melt from Firestar’s heat.

“Ouch!” Iceman exclaimed, and he smiled at her. “You are definitely one hot chick!”

“Hey, haven’t you learned? Fire and ice don’t mix.” Firestar remarked.

After seeing the defeat of Pyro, Magneto was completely furious; he only had “Dark Gonzo” and the Phoenix left, but he knew that the X-Men could never stop either of them. So the elderly mutant decided to take charge of the situation himself, beginning by using his magnetic powers to lift up the Electric Mayhem bus off the bridge and attempt to hurl it at Gonzo. When the weirdo noticed how Magneto was levitating the Electric Mayhem bus (with the Muppets still in it), he reacted with shock.

“NO! DON’T DO IT!!!!” Gonzo screamed.

“Sorry, my boy,” Magneto said, “But there can only be one of you.”

“NO!!!!” Gonzo cried, and just as Magneto was about to hurl the bus across the air…

“Excuse me.” A voice addressed Magneto, and he looked left and right to see where it had come from; but it had taken the sound of a throat clearing itself to get him to look downward at Boober, who was standing right in front of him. Magneto grinned, expecting something bigger to stop him. “I really think you should put that bus down.”

“Or what?” Magneto said, chuckling. “You’ll tickle me?”

“Actually…I will, whether you’ll put it down or not.” Boober said, just before he used his “secondary power” to move at a really fast speed and start tickling Magneto in places that he should’ve been ticklish in. But the mutant wasn’t ticklish, which was clear enough to Boober as he returned to the spot that he was standing on and faced the furious Magneto.

“I don’t have time for…” He said, but he stopped when he felt a strange sensation come over his body. That’s when the bus that Magneto had been levitating suddenly fell back to the ground, and Magneto himself collapsed to the ground, looking at his gloved hands with a horrified look on his face. “What…What’s happened to me?!”

“What? No ‘thank you’?” Boober said, as Wolverine and Beast came up next to him. “Is that any way to treat someone that’s cured you?” Beast and Wolverine looked at Boober in amazement, while Magneto looked at the Fraggle in shock. Neither of the three mutants expected such a move to be made by such a small creature.

“You mean, I’m…I’m…” Magneto uttered, and he couldn’t bring himself to say it.

“One of them?” Wolverine said, and the common man that went by the name of Erik Lehnsherr gazed at Wolverine with teary eyes. He began to crawl away from the scene, while Wolverine looked up at the mountain of rubble, seeing the Phoenix still standing at the top. “It’s over, Jean. It’s over.”

“OVER?!?!” Someone shouted, and the eyes of everyone on the island turned to “Dark Gonzo” as he came down the mountain of rubble and approached the X-Men. “Did you really think that you have defeated every member of the Brotherhood, Wolverine?!” As the evil weirdo spoke, he had taken off his hood and cloak, revealing his sinisterly bizarre appearance. He had lots of hair on his head that was large and frizzy, his eyes were like purple-glowing lightbulbs, and he was wearing Gonzo’s old X-Muppet uniform, which was tattered and glowing in a blue color. “Well, guess what, animal! You…were…WRONG!!!”

The “Dark Gonzo” then did something unearthly to Wolverine; using his magnificent powers, he began manipulating the adamantium on Wolverine’s bones. The mutant screamed in pain, as his skeletal structure began glowing from underneath his skin. All of the X-Men watched in shock, as the adamantium was sucked from Wolverine’s bones, coming out through his skin and forming into one giant metal ball in midair.

“Good lord.” Beast uttered, as he and the other X-Men watched Wolverine’s ravaged body fall to the ground, healing itself back up while Wolverine himself was unconscious.

Inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Scooter and Fury couldn’t believe what the evil weirdo had done to the mutant. They watched on the giant monitor as the “Dark Gonzo” looked in their direction and hurled the giant adamantium ball at the facility. The group felt a tremendous quake from inside the Control Room, and Fury immediately pressed a button that activated the evacuation alarm.

“Everybody get out of here!” Fury ordered, and he, Scooter, and all of the soldiers ran out of the room, heading out of the facility with the rest of the crew.

Outside of the facility, Gonzo was furious over what his clone had done to Wolverine, and he screamed madly as he ran towards the evil weirdo and tackled him. But instead of falling to the ground, the two weirdoes soared into the air and struggled high over the island. While they were fighting, the others noticed how some S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers had come up from behind the Phoenix and attempted fire their cure guns at her.

“No! Don’t!” Beast shouted, but it was too late; the cure guns had been fired, but none of the darts hit Jean. The Phoenix suddenly became extremely upset, and the demonic look on her face had returned, as she used her powers to turn all of the soldiers behind her into ash. The pharmaceutical company/S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters began to crumble away, as Scooter, Fury, and a handful of soldiers were escaping from the island on shuttles. Psylocke, Arclight, and Kid Omega attempted to escape themselves; but they suffered under the Phoenix’s power, as their bodies were turned to ashes.

“We have to get out of here!!” Storm exclaimed.

“You guys go! I’m going to stop her!” Firestar remarked, surprising some of the X-Men.

“She’s too powerful, Angelica!” Beast said. “You’ll never be able to stop her!”

“I was told that I’m the only person who can stop her now!” Firestar said.

“She’s right.” Gobo told Beast and Storm. “Professor Xavier himself said that she’s the only one.” Beast and Storm turned to each other, unsure about the idea; but once they were able to accept it, they turned to Firestar and nodded. The X-Men and the Fraggles escaped from the vanquishing Alcatraz Island, with the frightened Leech and the unconscious Wolverine. They couldn’t escape on the Blackbird, because it had been turned to ashes from the Phoenix’s power; so they escaped through the bridge with several innocent bystanders, including the Muppets from the Electric Mayhem bus. The last person to leave Firestar to confront the Phoenix was Iceman, who gave her a pat on the back and smiled.

“Good luck, Angie.” Iceman said, and Firestar smiled at him, as he escaped the island with the rest of the X-Men.

The struggle between the two weirdoes that was happening in midair had ended, when the “Dark Gonzo” fired purple lightning bolts from his fingertips and forced Gonzo back on the island, making his body crash into the ground and horribly dent it. Battered but not bruised, Gonzo looked up at his evil clone, as he hovered high in the air, cackling wickedly.

“Do you realize what you’ve done to Logan?!?!” Gonzo screamed, angrily. “You could’ve killed him by stripping his adamantium away from his body!!”

“The mighty Wolverine cannot be killed, my foolish other!” Dark Gonzo said. “But you, on the other hand, can!” He pointed to the Phoenix, who had been standing in the same spot on the mountain of rubble, as she unleashed her chaotic powers. “We both may possess remarkable powers; but only the real Gonzo has the power to be indestructible and can survive the Phoenix’s wrath. Fortunately, I’m the real Gonzo, which means that you’ll be the one to burn into ashes, while I go on and carry on Magneto’s dream of a world where Homo sapiens are nothing but a memory!!!” The “Dark Gonzo” cackled even louder than before; however, Gonzo didn’t seem intimidated by his words.

“That’s where you’re wrong, weirdo.” Gonzo said.

“How so?” Dark Gonzo said, assertively.

“You’re forgetting that you’d suffered from amnesia, meaning that your confidence is the only thing that’s got you feeling so sure that you’re the real Gonzo.” Gonzo said. “But if there’s anyone that should be one hundred percent certain of which Gonzo is which, it’s me, considering that I remember creating you!” The “Dark Gonzo” knew that the real Gonzo was right about what he was saying; he never knew if he was the actual Gonzo or not.

“I…I have been the copy…this whole time?” Dark Gonzo said, just as he noticed how his hands were beginning to ash away, much to his horror. “No! NO! I must carry on Magneto’s dream…as a true Brotherhood mutant!” Gonzo shook his head in displeasure at the naivety of his clone.

“I’m sorry, ‘brother’.” Gonzo said. “But you’re not a mutant either.” For the first and only time, a saddened look appeared on the once emotionless face of the “Dark Gonzo,” as his entire body had turned into ashes. Before the one and only Gonzo knew it, Kermit and Robin had appeared behind him, along with Sora, Kairi, Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. They all had been freed from the dimensional limbo that the “Dark Gonzo” had put them in.

“What happened?!” Kermit exclaimed, as he and the others looked around at all of the chaos that was happening on the island, really puzzled. “What’s going on here?! Where’s…?!”

“I’ll explain later, Kermit.” Gonzo said. “But first, we have to get out of here!”

“We’re not going anywhere with you, ya evil freak!” Robin shouted, believing that Gonzo was the evil clone, and he kicked him in the shin. Little Robin’s actions confused Sora and his friends more than the sudden situation they had found themselves in.

“Ouch! Robin!” Gonzo yelled. “I’m not the evil clone! I’m the real Gonzo!”

“You are?!” Kermit and Robin remarked, in unison, and Gonzo nodded in reply.

“Well, then…LET’S GET OUT OF HERE!!!!” Kermit screamed, horrified by the sight of the island crumbling before them.

“Alright, hang on.” Gonzo said, and he used his power of levitation to carry himself and his friends off the island, just as the Phoenix surrounded it with massive waves of water. Firestar looked around at all of the unearthly things that were happening all over the island. She knew that she was the only mutant that could stop the Phoenix at that moment in time; and even though the thought of confronting such a powerful figure frightened her, she was able to bring herself to start climbing up the rubble to get to Jean.

“Dr. Grey! Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Angelica Jones, and I’m here to stop you!” Firestar exclaimed, and the closer she got to Jean, the more her X-Man uniform began to burn away from her body. She could feel the intense heat that the Phoenix was conducting, and when it should’ve burned away any human or the most average mutant, all it had done to Firestar was make her stronger. “Whew! I don’t know about you, but there’s enough heat between us to create a new sun!” And that seemed to have been just the case, as the two unknowingly generated enough heat to lift themselves off the ground and high into the air, with a wall of fire circling around them. Night had become day over all of San Francisco, as well as the rest of the west coast.

“Do you really think you’ll stop me…child?!” Phoenix asked Firestar, whose entire uniform had burnt away from her body, leaving her floating naked in front of the Phoenix.

“Xavier said that I could.” Firestar replied. “And I’m not going to let you allow his dream to die with him.” Both the Phoenix and Firestar began to generate more heat between themselves, increasing the fire around them so much that they both began to ash away slowly. It only signified that the heat was too intense for both mutants to handle.

“You’ll sacrifice yourself for the lives of pathetic Homo sapiens?!?!” Phoenix queried, and Angelica trembled, keeping herself from screaming in pain as her skin began to peel off.

“Why…not?” She said. “You…did…for your team.” The demonic look on Phoenix’s face had gone away, as Jean Grey’s own persona kicked in and smiled at Angelica, who smiled right back at her. However, the serenity that the two gained wasn’t enough to ease the intensity of the gigantic fireball that they created high above the Earth’s atmosphere. That’s when it suddenly exploded, along with Jean Grey and Angelica Jones, creating a powerful but brief supernova. Once the supernova had ceased, night had fallen once again over San Francisco, as several people (including the X-Men and the Fraggles) watched how the great Firestar had sacrificed her life to save humanity, as well as Jean Grey herself.

Epilogue

A whole week had passed since the events on Alcatraz Island, and most of everything that had happened was had been repeated on the news several times. Peter Parker, who had regained consciousness at the hospital he had been kept in only a few hours after Alcatraz’s events, had been keeping the television set on one channel for several days. It depressed him when he saw the news about the mutants that had died in the incident and heard Angelica Jones’s name come up. Peter admitted that he never really enjoyed her company, especially at times when she joked around with him; but when he heard that she had died saving the world, he couldn’t help but feel proud and saddened at the same time.

On Peter’s last day at the hospital, Gonzo came there with Kermit and some Muppets that were coming back to Manhattan from San Francisco, after the successful grand reopening of the KMUP station the other night. Gonzo visited Peter in his hospital room, just as he was putting on his street clothes. He tried not to look sad in front of him, because if he did, then the two would no doubt start mourning over Angelica’s death like they’d been for days.

“Hey, Pete.” Gonzo said. “How ya feelin’ today?”

“Well, I’ve got a slight headache,” Peter replied, as he finished buttoning up his shirt, “But the doctors told me that it’ll only last for a day or two, as long as I take the pills that they’d given me.” He and Gonzo smiled at each other, though those smiles were only covering up the frowns that they had on their faces, before meeting each other. “So, how are things going for you and the others, after all of that chaos on Alcatraz?” Gonzo really didn’t feel like talking about it all, because it made him really depressed, and he often had nightmares about his clone coming back from the dead and attempting to annihilate him.

“Well, Will and her friends are doing okay, though I’m a little surprised that this mutant named Gobo made them forget all the things that had happened before this other manipulating mutant named Jareth hypnotized them.” Gonzo said. “But it’s also good that those people from Foster’s won’t remember anything either, considering how S.H.I.E.L.D. wrongfully accused them of being mutants.”

“Oh, yeah…S.H.I.E.L.D.” uttered Peter, who had gained a whole new hatred towards the organization. “I wonder how the old, one-eyed creep that calls himself Nick Fury is feeling right now.”

“He’s relieved that Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends isn’t going to press charges, now that they don’t remember anything.” Gonzo said. “But when the President learned about his foul-up, he made sure that the ‘kind’ general was demoted to sergeant.” Peter was a little impressed to hear that news.

“If he’s been demoted to that rank, then there’s no way other agents will follow his lead.” Peter said. “There has to be a new leader. So who is it?” Gonzo had a big smile on his face as he told Peter who the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D. was.

“Would ya believe it’s Scooter Grosse?” Gonzo replied, and Peter laughed hysterically.

“Get outta here!!” He exclaimed. “Scooter’s the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D.?!?!”

“And the strangest part is that it was Fury’s idea to put him in the chair.” Gonzo added. “He was really impressed over the way Scooter assessed the mutant situation.”

“Whoa. That’s something else.” Peter said, shaking his head, as he aimed their conversation in another direction. “So, uh, did you decide to take the cure that the government’s been offering?” Gonzo felt a little excited to finally reveal his big revelation to Peter.

“Well, it turns out that this whole time I wasn’t a mutant, Pete.” Gonzo said, and Peter smiled, not seeming very shocked.

“I knew it.” Peter uttered, and Gonzo looked at him in surprise.

“You did?!?!” He exclaimed. “But how…how did you…?!”

“Hey, they don’t call me ‘amazing’ for nothing.” Peter said. “Besides, it doesn’t really matter what you are to me, Gonzo. I don’t care if you have all of these incredible powers. You’re one of the Muppets…that’s all that matters.” Gonzo was very pleased to hear Peter say that.

“Well, I’m glad you feel that way, Peter,” Gonzo said, “Because it’ll be two more months before I lose these powers for good.”

“I hope you’re using them wisely.” Peter remarked. “Remember…”

“With great power comes great responsibility.” Peter and Gonzo said together.

“Just yesterday, I used them to put the Happiness Hotel back together.” Gonzo said. “Unfortunately, my powers weren’t enough to fix all of the problems that it had before it collapsed.”

“Well, as long as it’s still the Happiness Hotel, it shouldn’t matter what shape it’s in.” Peter said.

“Easy for you to say, ‘cause you don’t have to live there.” Gonzo retorted, and Peter just smiled; but his smile faded when he and Gonzo noticed another report on the mutants that died on Alcatraz, and when Angelica’s name was mentioned, Peter and Gonzo felt very depressed again. Neither of them said a word for the longest time, until Peter thought of something to say that would lighten their spirits up.

“She didn’t die for nothing.” Peter told Gonzo. “She died saving the lives of every mutant and human in the world, and we should all respect her for that.” Gonzo nodded slowly and sadly, as Peter just gazed upon him for a long time and then grabbed his coat. “Come on. I bet Pete and Jenny have got a nice peanut butter and sardine sandwich with your name on it.” Gonzo smiled when Peter brought up his favorite meal at Pete’s Diner.

“I gotta remember to tell Pete to hold this crust this time.” Gonzo said, and Peter chuckled, as he and Gonzo walked out of the room together; they had passed by a doctor named Moira MacTaggert as they both walked down the hall. Moira had gone into another room in the hospital to see a comatose patient that she had been checking on regularly. But the one day that Moira came to check the patient, something unusual had happened. The patient had moved his right arm and removed the oxygen mask from his face, turning to Moira and speaking softly…only it wasn’t his own voice he was speaking with.

“Hello, Moira.” He said, and a startled Moira gazed at the patient, with a shocked expression on her face.

“Charles?”

-------------------

Outside of the city of New York City, several of the residents at Foster’s had attended the puppet show that they thought they had been planning for a week was actually the same puppet show that they were going to have, until the interruption from S.H.I.E.L.D. and Spider-Man. The show turned out nicely, and many of the Foster’s residents enjoyed the show, no once thinking about Gonzo, Magneto, or anything else that had occurred in recent events. To them, it was just a ordinary week in their semi-ordinary house.

But if there was one person that felt something a little different, it was Sarah. When the young woman left the mansion that evening after the puppet show, she felt as if she was being watched, often looking over her shoulder as she walked down the sidewalk. But Sarah’s feelings couldn’t have been more correct, because there was someone watching her. And that someone came in the form of a white owl, as it stood on the branch of a tree and watched Sarah’s every move. Once she was far out of sight, the owl flew away from the area, as wicked cackling echoed throughout the atmosphere.

I hope everyone enjoyed reading this conclusion to the "X-Muppet" series. And like I said, even if there won't be an "X-Men 4", you can be certain that this isn't the last time that the Muppets will cross paths with the X-Men.:)

Oh, and though this isn't in the story, the Fraggles ended up becoming X-Muppets themselves. So if there's going to be other X-Men/Muppets stories (and there probably will be others), then you can bet that the Fraggles are going to be in them. However, since there are spinoff films that are going to be made for characters like Wolverine and Magneto, and since the Fraggles are such enchanted creatures, it'd probably be a cool idea to have stories that serve as prequels to the "X-Muppet" series, focusing on the Fraggles and not Gonzo.:excited:

But for now, it's on to Metropolis and Port Royal, as I focus on "Sesame, DC" and "Muppets of the Caribbean".;)

Truly a good finish... Peter and Gonzo remembering what happened... And that cackling owl watching over Sarah...

You might want to keep checking the movie news... Besides Wolverine and Magneto, there might be plans for a White Queen movie and another project focusing on the X-Kids being trained in the three movies, which I guess would be the Generation X group. You could use that as a vehicle to further explore the Fraggle contingent of the X-Muppets.

There's a lot of movie news that I've been checking, not just for the X-Men, but for Spider-Man as well. Did you know that there's going to be four villains in "Spidey 3"?! In my continuity, that wouldn't be a big deal for Spidey, 'cause he'll have the Muppets and characters from other shows backing him up. But in the movie, this is one hero against four villains! That's insane!

And I heard about that "White Queen" movie; but did you know that the White Queen was the first mutant that had discovered Firestar in the comics? If that idea becomes a reality, then you can bet I'll bring Angelica Jones back from the dead (Hey, it's the comics. Anything can happen.).

I'll definitely use the movies that deal with the X-Kids as a way of exploring the Fraggles as X-Muppets, kind of like I've done for Gonzo, and maybe even have them discover other Fraggles with powers even greater than theirs. But as for any prequels like Magneto and Wolverine, then I'm going to go into a story set before the events of "X-Men Mark The Spot" that shows how they discovered their powers and what it was like for them to go around society carrying such amazing abilities.

Well...
1 Nope, didn't know that about Emma and Angelica. But if that's the storyline the perported movie goes with... Then we'll have actors to go with all three members of the Spider-Friends.
2 Four villains? The ones I know about are Venom, Sandman, the possibility of Black Cat, and the possibility of Harry Osborne becoming Green Goblin II.
3 When developing the Sesame/DC story... I'll be looking forward to the storyline, since yours seems much more promising than the stupidity of the current merchandising campaign. Lex Luther steals all the blue in the world? Phe...

I really hope that'll be the case, because "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" is such a great show, and to see all three members finally make it to the big screen would be heaven on Earth for several fans of the show, including myself.:)

2 Four villains? The ones I know about are Venom, Sandman, the possibility of Black Cat, and the possibility of Harry Osborne becoming Green Goblin II.

That's what Avi Arad revealed (probably by accident). But I don't think that these rumors are 100% correct. But if Venom is going to be in the movie, then it'll just make one heck of a story for the "Marvelous Muppets" continuity.

3 When developing the Sesame/DC story... I'll be looking forward to the storyline, since yours seems much more promising than the stupidity of the current merchandising campaign. Lex Luther steals all the blue in the world? Phe...

LOL!! That was actually a cool advertisement. It's better than some of the things they come up with for Krypto: The Super Dog.:)

Oh, and I also heard that they might play a teaser trailer for "Spider-Man 3" with the release of Superman Returns, so hope that your theater will be the one playing the trailer.;)

Wha? Course Venom will be in the movie. Topher Grace will palying the dual roles of him/it and Eddie Brock.

Krypto's got a few good episodes... But I'm not rully into it cause they haven't developed it to a sort of fullest potential matching up the DCU cast with animated animal matches. Oh well... Looking forward to whatever you've got cooking.
