There is a Pepe fan site that says Pepe shares a house at 44 Bronson Lane with Kermit and the gang.It also has a picture of the house with the Electric Mayhem bus parked in the driveway and a chicken near a picket fence. The site is www.tandarra.com and then click onto Pepe's Pad.That should make things clearer(I Hope!!!)

No. They shot the outside locations for "Muppets From Space" in North Carolina. The house does exist if you can find it.

I found out that the Author from Pepe's Pad got the House sharing reference actually from "Muppets From Space" or a trailer on the DVD.But now I know the House is somewhere in North Carolina.Anybody from that area that knows the actual address of the house used?

I have a message to pass on from the Author of Pepe's Pad.He wants his name cleared as a few of you Americans have said that he made up the information about the Muppets Boarding House.Yet he informed me that the information comes from Muppet Central itself L.O.L.It's on the Muppets From Space Trivia Quiz.He would of come on here himself but when he tied to join, the Administrator has stopped all new members from joining???
Anyhow, also on the Quiz was that the house is an abandoned house in Wilmington,N.C. Anybody know precisely where? I might come over and move in!!!It's such a great looking house with charm(reminds me a bit of Sabrina's Aunts' house) I cant believe that it is abandoned?

Regardless, it's a really cool site with some great screen caps. I was also pleased to learn that PePe's full name is Pepino Rodrigo Serrano Gonzales. I hope he's able to join here at MC someday.

The webmaster from Pepe's Pad wants to add that Gonzo mentions 44 Bronson Lane in Muppets from Space at the 24mins and 45 sec mark.He still can not join Muppet Central.

Wel, actually this is not what was happening. His site is obviously full of information on a fictional character (done very well, of course) but when you arrived it sounded very much like you thought the Muppets were living creatures, "They live in a house, is it on the Disney lot?"

See? They didn't deny that tha mupepts lived in the house in MFS.

Thanks, Beauregard.Yes, when I asked the question, they do live in a house as far as biography goes, and I thought it might have been filmed from the Disney lot, where other fictional addresses are, such as the Golden Girls house, etc.I suppose some of you took it that I was either nuts or the sharehouse is some kind of warehouse.
Still havent had response as to where exactly in wilmington NC the abandoned house used is? Anybody know?

Woo Hoo, The forum registration system is finally working.

Thank you to all the fellow fans who have commented on my site Pepe's Pad.

Yes I have written Pepe's Pad from a slightly tongue-in-cheek perspective, as if Pepe actually lives and breathes (they all do don't they? ;)). I imagined what Pepe's web page would look like if he had a Hollywood publicist working for him. I wanted it to be the definitive source for all things Pepe, but remembering it's just a bit of fun, and it fills in the occasional rainy day. For example 'The Private Pepe' is a rundown of Pepe's hobbies etc. all compiled from information and observations of his movie appearances.

I have added a section on Pepe's Pad called "A Kermin-less Universe" - referring to "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas" and using material from the DVD extras (on the Oz Region 4 release anyway) with Bill Barretta and Kirk Thatcher outside the 'Bitterman Maximum Security Crustacean Correctional Facility'. I have also added many screen shots and Pepe's audition tape for Long John Silver's.

I am limited for some information here in Australia. For example, Pepe's Long John Silver's promotion didn't exist down here so I have to rely on the internet for information.

Having said all that, I have not and will not invent information for Pepe's Pad. All information and trivia is what is alrready documented elsewhere.

Now, The Muppet boarding/share house address... what controversy!

Thanks to fellow Aussie muppetperson for going into bat for me when new forum registrations were disabled. 44 Bronson Lane was taken from Muppet Central trivia quiz, and with other bits of trivia like this one, I have compiled it all together on my site to 'build up' a ficticious life for Pepe and the Muppet world around him. No-one can argue I'm wrong, because it's all ficticious anyway! :)

Enjoy!

stevefromoz.

Sorry to hear you'll be shutting down Pepe's Pad.

I love the Jon John Silver clips you got up there.

Any chance you have them in fullscreen Quicktime format?
:D

Shame to hear that Pepe's Pad is closing down.I wouldn't mind taking it over but I am not very computer literate and would have to look for a free website hoster. With zoomshare,it is more for photographs and you can only have up to 50 photographs.

Hi, all... New user, long-time Muppet fan (born in '71). Now brain-washing my kids into all things Muppet. They (ages 4 and 6) will NOT stop watching MS Season One DVDs, after wearing out our old Muppet Treasures, Muppet Revue, etc. videos.

Anyway, our family is moving to Wilmington, NC, where they filmed Muppets From Space (and Elmo in Grouchland). I came upon this thread while I was trying to find the exact location of the pretend 44 Bronson Lane, which Gonzo gives as his address in MFS. The house has got to be in historic downtown Wilmington, which is jammed full of those beautiful old Victorian houses. We are going to live right downtown in that area and were wondering what street it is on.

Many of those houses have been fixed up beautifully, but the further you get from the central street and river, the more likely you are to find ones that haven't been tackled yet. So that explains the "abandoned house" thing that someone posted. It's not as if nobody cares--the area is gorgeous (if you've ever been to Charleston SC or Savannah GA, it's the same sort of old port city), but the downtown renovation is slowly spreading outward.

My only clue, so far, to the actual location of "The Muppet House" is that the next door house seems to be numbered either 17 or something-17. But it shouldn't be too hard to find, I think, with some work. Esp. since someone in Wilmington will probably know the answer (there's a lot of filming there, so "movie location tours" can be had). I will definitely post pics if I can, if I find the house.

I found it! I got off the bus from my first day at a new job and walked right by a beautiful Victorian with a cute picket fence . . . slowed down, gave it another look. And right next door, there was that next-door house with the "17" on the house number.

The Muppet House is on my street! How about that? I was so excited that I dragged my family out later that evening to see it (it's about three blocks from where we live). Met one of the neighbors and she confirmed that yes, it's the "muppet house."

It's on 7th St. in historic downtown Wilmington, if you ever visit. I'd give you the house number but that'd ruin the fun.

Shall I take a picture? Think those who live there would mind?

I'm still happy that I get to pass it every day. By the way, it is beautifully upkept with new paint--far from "abandoned" now. Houses nearby are either nicely renovated or undergoing renovation.

Small world, isn't it, being in the same street! I would love to see a current picture. You might have to do a few more posts yet for a link.
