That's right, It's official. Coming out next year. They just came up with a 5 scripts for the pilot. It's a spoof on reality shows. Getting New Muppets to audition for Kermit and the gang. The article was in The New York Post Today. :)

It's not 100% official. ABC just signed an order for one script and 5 episode outlines to be written.

If they see those they could still choose to pass; and the show would never make it to TV screens. They could even produce the pilot script (and then not like it, or have it flop) so they would choose to never develop the 5 outlines. They could produce the pilot script, and develop and produce the 5 outlined episodes, and then stop there (at 6 episodes). They could produce the 6 episodes and then order more. It’s hard to say how ABC will react once they have a product in hand, but the show is working its way to becoming a reality. It’s one step closer now, and chugging along.

The Muppet Holding Company has been pushing this idea for awhile and ABC has now signed on officially to give it a try. It is officially in the works, but the show showing up on TV is not 100% official. It's about 75%. I would say it is a lock, once they start filming (or ABC orders more episodes, or orders development of the 5 episode outlines, or announces an air date, or starts promos for it).

But it is looking good that we will see this. 2 weeks ago I would say that this project was looking grim, but this is definitely great news, and takes it one step closer to actually coming to be.
