I wouldn't use regular upholstery foam from a fabric store for Gonzo's nose. I don't think you'd be happy with the results. Scott foam, reticulated foam, filter foam, open cell foam, whatever you would like to call it, is what you need. It looks like gfarkwort over in the Puppeteer's Resource thread (http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=21416) has a good source. I'd probably go with the 4 inch thickness for carving a Gonzo.
Thanks so much :excited: !!!:)
