Doe's any body remember dinosaurs, and are they part of the muppet family because Disney published almost all the videos. And at the bottom of the action figures it also had disney. So are they muppets or was disney just using the henson company to do there dirty work. And also are dinosurs still on Television. It would be cool if they were. SEE YA.

I love(d) this show.I have a video of it and may be getting some more soon,at a local bookstore they have a ALOT of dinosaur vids for a buck.anyway to answer your question Disney distributed it and stuff or buena vista did but Jim Henson Productions produced it and stuff.in fact when it was on you could meet the Dinosaurs at Disney Mgm studios in Orlando Flordia.

Hey Baby (lol, sounds a bit stupid, but okay..),
Remember the Dinosaurs? I'm scrounging for episodes! I have about 25 (of the 65 total). Once I get a little extra cash I am going to buy the commercial releases. Awesome and amazing show...I was just watching an episode before I got on.
As for the "are they Muppets?" question, I guess its all how you define a Muppet. They are Muppets in the sense that they were made and some characters were performed by Muppeteers. Although Disney did produce the show, they also harbor MV3D, and thats obviously Muppets (yes, different I know, but kind of the same if you think about it). I think it would be safe to say they are, so I'm going to do that. They are Muppets. :D
I loved Ethel...oh, that's one rockin' grandma... :D :D

Ya know, that's not a bad idea. If anyone will replay it, they would be it. I don't know if they will though, being they seem to be geared towards modern teens, and Dinosaurs is a bit too clever for them. Heh.

Well, when Dinosaurs was produced, Disney owned Henson. All the Muppet (and Fraggle Rock) videos of the time were released by BeunaVista - a division of Disney. So, everything produced by Disney was definitely Muppets (same story as MCC and MTI).

Disney owned all of Henson at the time, or just whatever unit did the commercial release videos? Maybe the might Phillip might want to come in and invoke knowledge a bit. :)
(PS - Mark, got the vids, I'm going to email you tonight.)

They owned all of Henson (to the same extent EMTV owns them now, I suppose).

After Jim's death Disney was using the Muppet characters as if they owned them and this became the subject of a huge lawsuit between Henson and Disney which was eventually settled out of court.
I believe Disney and Henson co-own the Dinosaurs characters/shows though.

That's what I thought was the case also (at least that's what I've come to believe from reading company bios and such). Mark seemed to be pretty confident in his answer though, so I thought it best not to challenge him...The iron fists might start coming down, and landing upon my head. (hehe) :)

Dearest lord I hope I have that episode in the batch I just got. I remember seeing that when I was younger, before drugs were even things I knew anything about. I hope I can see it again. Good message there. I also want to see the episode where Spike takes Robbie to the biker-ish bar in the swamp...is that the same episode? :)

GUY! (I like beginning things with a general "GUY!")
I haven't seen "Dinosaurs" in soooooo long, and I don't remember much of it but I remember when it first aired. I was somewhere between 8 to 10 at the time (God, I don't remember... maybe younger) and my friend was over and we settled in to watch this brand spankin' new show. So it comes on, and y'know how the beginning of the theme song is all dark and scary? My mom was like "Ohhhh, I don't know if you kids should be watching this!" then right after she said that the theme song got all light and fun. And we never let her live it down.

I just saw my tape of Little Boy Boo/ Refridgerator Day (for Halloween!) and maaaaaaan.. I fell right on my butt LAUGHIN'!!! Here are some of my favorite lines
There!! Let's get the thing we do not understand, and therefore fear!
If we bought stuff from you, that would make us the customer and you the store. Do you want to be a store? Lot of responsability!
I'm lower than dirt! I wish I was dirt! I look up to dirt! Dirt laughs at me!
"To miss Charlene's play, I'd throw myself down the stairs, sustane painful head injuries, and eat through a tube the rest of my life!" "That's very sweet dear!"
"Wait a minnit! Refridgerator Day without presents is like two things, but one of them is missing, and it doesn't have the other thing to go with it!" "Who says you're not deep?"

The drugs episode was indeed a GREAT one! (A New Leaf).
And who can forget... "SMOO!" :D "We're saying Smoo, that is what we do, we're saying Smoo, and it's just for you..." I'll always remember exactly where I was when that guy said "Smoo" on TV! :D

I just got ahold of some of the hasbro 1990 action figures of Dinosaurs...amazing likeness.
Ok, I guess Phil can answer this: Is Dinosaurs Muppets or "Fantasy Worlds".
I assume Phil considers them Muppet worlds since they are listed under Muppet Worlds in collectibles. I always thought of em as "creature shop/fantasy worlds" like Labyrinth, Farscape or Dark Crystal...only because they have that creature shop look *and* you never saw a Dinosaurs character cameo on an actual muppet production...
so, three big questions:
1) Is Dinosaurs "Muppets"?
2) Has any character from Dinosaurs ever cameo'd in a Muppet thing?
3) The packaging for the Habro Dinosaurs figures has absolutely no indication its henson related, no JH signature, no JHC copyright...just Disney. So again, is this considered more a JHC thing or Disney?

When was the last time Dinosaurs was even seen in the U.S.? Didn't the Disney channel re-run the episodes somewhere in the mid-1990s. I would like to see the show again.

I loved the Dinosaurs! My cousin got the talking Baby Dinosaur doll.It was a refreshing piece of updated puppetry.I loved the episode where Baby becomes a little spooky The Terrible Twos. I'm glad Stuart Pankin supplied the voice of Earl & Sally Struthers to Charlene(of course Kevin Clash as the Baby) & other now famouse stars(Chris Meloni as Spike). Not the Baby! :zany:

How about that evil boss, B.P. Richfield? He has to be the most evil, vicious boss I've ever seen. The way he screams at poor Earl and his friends and insults them horribly. Constantly abuses his employees and exploits them and he's even been know to eat them! And he always seems to get away with such horrible stuff and usually never gets punished for it.
And in the final episode, Mr. Richfield got away with the ultimate evil. He ended up destroying the world and got lots of money from it. And he put all the blame on Earl.
Yes, I would say B.P. Richfield is definitely the worst boss on TV!

They are a little expensive (around $17) but Amazon and probably other places has videos of the show for sale! Go to Amazon.com and do a search for "Dinosaurs baby" and the whole list should show up. There are volumes 1-6, plus some other specials. Yay! :excited:

Kevin Clash probably thinks so too. ;) As for the earlier question about where to find tapes, I would try eBay. That's probably the easiest and cheapest place you could find them. :)

I loved this show! I have about 6-8 episodes taped off of tv. "I want my name" posted about "war". Was that war over cashews or something like that?
I liked when Robbie said something like, "Why do the years keep getting smaller and smaller. What are we counting down to?" And when they were trying to mate two cave men! Haha. Me and my mom always look at eachother and say, "Looks like we're going to need another Timmy!" :p

Oh, I used to watch that show all the time! :) It came on Disney Channel, I think. Wasn't it around the same time they showed Fraggle Rock? I watched all those shows...now Disney Channel is a bit disappointing... :(
