Ever since the rumors started spreading last month concerning the unknown future of Sababa's Mokey plush, we've been working on getting an official answer from Sababa Toys. We've been in correspondence with Sababa and they want to make the following announcement concerning the Sababa Mokey Plush doll expected to arrive next summer.
Also check out pictures of the upcoming Sababa Fraggle Fun Packs and Fraggle Uno.

Quite a long wait, but during that time, I'll probably get the others. I only have Gobo so far. Really hope an Uncle Matt and a Sprocket aren't too far behind. Just wish they'd make Fraggle PVC sets.

Here's hoping Palisades will see fit to make Fraggle action figures in scale with The Muppets' line!

I'm so happy she's coming. I may go online and get all 5 again, too, when she gets here to have 2 sets...for whatever reason I want that many.
Also was suprised some of the customizers didn't get extras to customize when the others have been released so far.

I'm really happy to hear we're getting a Mokey - the other fraggles seemed to sell out at the retailers around me, so fan support should be obvious. I'd also like to see a plush sprocket, I'd buy him over traveling matt...due mostly to sprocket being similar to the dog from "the storyteller"... Lastly, I hope Sabbaba posts some prototype pictures of Mokey sometime in the near future.

Has anyone contacted Sababa to check up on the process? Yea i know.. i'm a lil impatient. But its always nice to know. I've visited the website several times, and they dont even mention the Fraggle Plushes they've made in the past. Is that only because they've stopped making them? I know they stoped making the doozers. It would be great if anyone can shed some light.

I'm excited she's coming out this summer and all, but I think it's kinda unfair to Mokey... she just doesn't seem that popular to the general audience, when actually, she's quite wonderful. Kinda stinks how she's always put to the back... I mean, she's not on the cover of Dance Your Cares Away, Kathryn Mullen's not in the bonus interviews, and she's the last plush to come out. Plus, if you look at it, Down In Fraggle Rock's episodes contained the first three episodes, A Gobo, Wembley and Red episode, but I can see why cuz they're goin in order there, but in Down In Fraggle Rock, it goes Boober Gorg, then Blanket of Snow, Blanket of Woe. Plus, that episode could be seen as a Gobo and Mokey episode. Sorry to get technical, but it's just something that I've noticed.

Just curiouse if Sabab made it to Toy Fair and/or if someone has found more info on Mokey. I tried doing some research online but didn't find anything. And i dont see any way we can contact Sababa by e-mail (I'd rather send an e-mail then call). Anyone else find any news? Anyone go to toy fare and see Sababa's post and/or talk to someone?

Well, you have two or three different things out of place in that post.
First, only Henson and Sababa have the deal for Mokey.
Disney's Muppets Holding Company owns (outright) all things Muppets. Henson has nothing to do with it anymore.
Henson also has nothing to do with Sesame Street, which is owned by Sesame Workshop.

As i still pray we get Mokey, where are the production photos or updates? I wish i coulda call them and ask, myself, but i cant.
Dont forget to add the fact that Muppeteers have been lossing their jobs. For example. From the Balcony. A series on movies.com, stars cheaper paid puppeteers, and replaced Steve, and (i wanna say Dave but i think i'm wrong). Disney cut them out to save money. Do you think it stops there? When else will another Muppeteer lose their job due to Disney's changes?
I'm not 100% agasint Disney. We havn't seen too much from them just yet. But thats kind of a draw back, and honestly, Muppet Oz didn't do so well.

Fozzie, your email from the other thread (the one you wrote to Sababa Toys) was very well put.
What indeed is the use of an incomplete set of Fraggles? Mokey is one of the core characters, and many fans (including myself) would adore to have a Mokey as part of their collection. Yeah, Doozers are nice...but the PVC ones were enough.
They should have used their money to produce the rest of the core group of characters (Mokey, Matt, Sprocket...maybe Junior Gorg) instead of expanding on the Doozer line. Seeing the wide Doozer selection and not a Mokey in sight makes me think "what gives?"
Do you think an email would be the best way to contact them? I don't know if a regular ol' snail mail letter would be more effective...or calling them.
I hope that someone from Sababa reads this thread (or someone emails 'em the link). I don't think I'd return my Fraggles to the company...but that's only my opinion.
Man, I hope they reconsider Mokey...

I got them today but I have no clue if they're gonna be the Target ones. I got them from an on-line store and they only make Gobo, Wembley & Red. They come with DVDs that have 2 episodes and one cartoon. They're about the size of the Hasbro plushes. They're nice. $20 each. I did a Google for fraggles and these showed up. A warning to the whiners though, they don't have a Boober yet and also, no Mokey, so... start a new thread if you want to cry about it cuz honestly, I'm rather tired of your tantrums.

Awesome find, thank you! :excited:

Aw, who am I kidding... It's a foregone conclusion that I'm gonna get 'em!
The real question is how many? I doubled up on the Red plush and the Red & Gobo fun pack. I dangit wanted Red and Gobo free from their bondage, but wanted to leave one of the fun packs intact. Red #2 was going to ride on my motorcycle headlight. I gave up that idea because I couldn't stand to let her get bug-splatted... maybe if I put a windshield back on.
So, can the packages be left un-destroyed when getting the plush out?

"Early August will see a line of plush including Gobo, Red and Wembley. Each will come with a disc with two of the character's episodes and one animated episode. Sababa are looking at releasing Mokey, Boober and Travelling Matt for Spring 2007.
They also had this to say about a mini Mokey plush, and I quote... "Due to the overwhelming number of emails we’ve received regarding a Mokey plush, we would like to set the records straight. We at Sababa Toys are Fraggle Rock fans ourselves, which is why we sought out the license. We WILL be producing a Mokey plush for release in SUMMER 2006!""

this summer.... no. Maybe next spring in the larger version with the DVD.
And i'd like to let everyone know that i've spotted these larger fraggles at Newberry Comics. I bought Wembly and Red, but refused to buy Gobo, my favorit character, because his mouth was wrong. It looked like a manufactering error. So, i'll keep my eyes open.
each cost $19.99 and tax, depending where you live.

Hopefully things won't stay that way, but I have to say that I'm just happy that we're getting Fraggle Rock on DVD and Fraggle stuff to add to our collections. Like I said it's too bad there is less and less Mokey, but still, got to love that there is Fraggles at all.

I never updated this perticular thread, but Target has the larger Sababa Fraggle plushes for $12.99. I've bought Red and Webley at Newburry comies, and decided right away to bring them back and save with Target's lower prices. I now own all 3, but beware... Gobo is the rarest to find. As, you should have no problem finding Red, who seems to be taking up much room on all Target's shelves.
