LA Creature Shop Closed/Closing?

Of course everyone knows the JHC's worst-kept secret is that they closed up the Muppet workshop in NYC (layoffs began in July I believe) and that the townhouse in NY is apparently up for sale (or going up soon).

But the latest rumour I've heard (which surprised me) is that the LA Creature Shop has either been shut down or is being shut down. In the Creature Shop's last ad a month ago in Cinefex Magazine (a magazine for special effects artists) I believe they still had the LA Shop listed so this surprised me.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is it true?

I don't know anything about closing the LA Creature Shop. Last I heard, the responsibility for buidling, storing, and refurbishing Muppets was being transferred to LA. If that's true, I'd be quite surprised if they closed the Creature Shop, but maybe something's changed.

Scary thought, though.
