Hey Guys, I don't know if anybody knows, but Sababba toys is not releasing Mokey. Accoriding to the reply I recieved, "Unfortunately due to matters beyond our control we will not be releasing Mokey." Not good news. Anybody know what these matters beyond thier controll might be? :o Btw I used to be TidusEstar.

What? Really? That's horrible! I've got to complete my Fraggle Five! Anyway, not that I'm doubting what you're reporting because I'm not, I just wanted to know where you heard this information. We should revolt!

Yeah, that's what I thought. It was somebody at Sababba toys. Here's the actuall email:

I'm not sure anybody else has read this, but when they do I'm sure they'll be a big revolt. It'll be revolting! ...Yeah bad Fozzie Joke :o I just don't believe thier doing this, I just bought Red and Wembley, and I'm going back today for Boober and Gobo. I'm 100% sure it's not because of the sales...so what's the matter? :smirk:

Maybe it's the license. With HIT in control now they'll want to renew with a bigger toy company. Could also be that they can't get a Mokey approved or released before their current one runs out. I have no idea, just throwing out suggestions. 'Beyond Our Control' seems to signfy a licensing issue.

You know, I was just wondering: Did they decide this based on the fact that the Doozer plush didn't sell so well? They should have kept up with MORE Doozer PVCs and saved the plush money to make Mokey and Uncle Matt.

I don't remember. I didn't buy the plush of the Doozers. They weren't as attractive as the Fraggles were.

Yeah, I didn't buy a doozer either. They weren't fluffy. ;) But they all had different tools, hardhats, noses, etc. It was neat.

i received the following e-mail from Sababa. Maybe we can get the name of their manufacturer and bombard them with e-mails until they produce Mokey!

Interesting, a light in the darkness for sure, I hope they really just don't know what's going on so that there is a chance that we'll still get a Mokey and possibly an Uncle Matt!

That's really weird...I can only hope the infromation they told me is wrong. We can only hope huh? Hmm two differnt things from two different people. Either they don't have thier wires straight at Sababba or Somebody lied to me. Either way keep emaling them.

Not necessarily lied, maybe just trying to see what the interest is, and beginning to waver on their original decision not to do it. HOPEFULLY they'll be doing Mokey at least; Uncle Matt if we're super lucky!!

I told the lady from Sababa's marketing dept that it was their customer service department who had told me Mokey was cancelled per their manufacturer. She has not replied back to me yet, to tell me whether or not this is true :smirk:

Nah, hit Customer Services with the emails. They'll be routed to the best person to answer them. We don't want to be rude or hateful, or say things in spite.

I simply stated the truth: I was very disappointed with the company because they gave us the prior 4, then PVCs of the Doozers, and then produced Doozer plush rather than completing the Fraggles with Mokey and Matt--and they could even have done Sprocket plush! I hoped they withdraw their decision to discontinue this line of characters, because it's really unfair to the fanbase to give us part, and not all, of a line of great characters.

Something professional, honest, and sincere is what they need to read.

I recently heard on the Internet that Sababa Toys is not producing the plush of Mokey Fraggle from "Fraggle Rock" as previously planned. Will there be a possibility of producing this product in the future?

I treasure "Fraggle Rock", and Mokey Fraggle is my favorite character on the show by far. She has a large fan base, and there are many of us Muppet, Fraggle, and Mokey fans out there who will be extremely disappointed if we do not see her character come to fruition through your products.

Thank you for your time, and please know that we fans would gladly wait for a Mokey plush if need be; the important thing is that she be made to complete our collections, and to have equal representation for all 5 main fraggles (Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, and Red).

Mokey may, eventually, become available. Although we cannot include her in the 2006 line, we hope that we can bring Mokey to her fans in the near future.

ugh... i cannot wait until 2007. We got Gobo and Red in December of 2003, if i remember correctly. This is just crazy. What can we do, besides keep e-mailing them to show them we are serious about wanting Mokey?

I am very upset with this news - Sababa Toys is leaving the job half finished. If they dont want to issue Mokey on wide release like they did with the others, the least they could do is offer an online exclusive for her. We cant sit back and let them do this - I'm sending a letter to their company, letting them know I wont purchase any products made by Sababa Toys, unless they resolve this issue...

I personally don't think boycotting will work. Most of us already own the Fraggles that are already out, and I immagin that that is all most people will want from that company. Also, if we leave them alone, they will have no reason to comply with us, and we will never see Mokey.
As for whare I stand on the issue, it enrages me to no end! IEven though I like Mokey, I believe that that has nothing to do with it. It is only logical that they should have completed the Fraggle five, before moving on to Doozers, and that is what I can not understand. If they want to release Matt and Sprocket afterwards they can, but for now, all I am asking for is Mokey!

Hey, Fozzie,

I emailed them too with a polite message basically stating "I love the Fraggle plushes you've already made, but please make Mokey!" I also told them that many fans love Mokey (myself included) and I even emailed Customer Service a link to this very thread so they can check out our concern about having no Mokey in the Fraggle plush line. Maybe they'll read our posts here and it just might make a difference.

Who knows? Maybe Mokey will be made after all.

That would be nice. I mean they have those sets with the DVD's now according to the little inlet I got with my season 1 box set; so why just not put out Mokey? And fifteen sounds about right I mean she is bigger than the rest of them.
