I was watch Whose Line (oh, big surprise!) When I saw a commercial for the upcoming Muppets' Wizard of Oz DVD.

KERMIT: It's the DVD you've been waiting for!
ANNOUNCER: Oz has never been quite like this...
PEPE: What happens in Emerald City, Staaaays in Emerald City.
ANNOUNCER: The Muppets' Wizard of Oz of Video and Disney DVD (why does Disney get his own trademark DVD name?) Available August 9th.
KERMIT: It's the Muppets' Wizard of Oz on DVD! (Looks off stage) Did I spell that right?

Aww, sounds cute. I haven't seen any ads for it yet, or for TMS.

They usually don't do promos for season sets. Sad, isn't it.

I'm pretty positive I've seen commercials for The Muppet Show Season 1 on DVD on one of the cable channels recently! Can't remember which one- probably TBS or something. Hmm, might want to keep an eye on ABC Family and Disney channel- it might just pop up there! :)

They might advertise it on Cartoon Network too. I remember they advertised the Timelife set on that network.

Then how come I've never seen any? I'm been wanting to see commercials for the Rocky and Bullwinkle, Green Acres, and Bewitched sets.

In that case, I'll keep a look out for a promo commerical for the season 1 DVD set on CN. I remembered the ad for the Time Life set, too.

I'm very sure that it's The Best of the Muppet Show DVDs that Daffyfan and I are referring to.

MacGyver, yay! I was just watching him, actually. :D

I've not caught the preview yet, but I might watch ABC later to see if I can get it.

If you want to see the Season 1 trailer for MacGyver, you can see that on http://www.MacGyveronDVD.com
You can also check out the Multimedia section of my MacGyverLand site (http://MacGyver.250free.com) to see another Season 1 trailer that was aired on television, but is not up on the official site. As a long time MacGyver fan, it was a thrill for me to see the commercial for MacGyver Season 1 on DVD on TV!!!

And keep checking the channels for the Muppet Show promos. I'm sure it'll pop up. You could also check videodetective.com They have tons of obscure trailers for all kinds of things.
Here's their current listings for Muppet stuff.

And where do you have to buy the set to get the litho? I collect DVD giveaways, so this could well be of interest!
