I have noticed that there is some poor continuity in some of the episodes of Fraggle Rock. I will name a few.

In the episode Sprocket's Big Adventure at the end of the episode Gobo tells Sprocket "The Trashheap told me why you were looking for me" But when Gobo is at the Gorg's Garden before that, he didn't go anywhere's near the Trasheap, and I don't see where he could have found time to because when that scene was over him, Sprocket, and the other Fraggles headed back to Fraggle Rock.

In The River of Life it was pretty obvious the writers were avoiding having Uncle Matt and Boober appear together. Due to the fact Dave Goelz performs them both. Uncle Matt is in the scenes Boober's not in, towards the beggining of the episode, because Boober has refused to go swimming. But as soon as Boober discovers the water is poisoned and goes to warn his friends Uncle Matt is no longer seen. He's not even on at the end when theyr'e all singing in the special credits.

Any other good examples of poor continuity on this show that you know of?

Jerry Nelson is the one who does Uncle Matt and Gobo. Its not Dave Goelz. I figured that out several years ago. I'm not trying to be a know it all. All the sites say its Jerry Nelson. They just proubley had a lot of stuff happen on that one episode that made it seem that both characters are done by the same preformer.

I'm sorry but Jerry Nelson performs Gobo. Dave Goelz performs Uncle Matt and Boober. I don't know what websites are giving you the misleading information that Uncle Matt and Gobo are both performed by Jerry Nelson.

Its not Jerry who does Matt, its Dave.
Jerry: Gobo, Pa, Trasheap
Dave: Boober, Matt

Sorry I just recived my Fraggle Rock sing along record and it says that your right. I just thought it was always that way. Its just there was times that it seem that Gobo and Matt were played by Jerry Nelson. The first episode where they're sing and Gobo looks like hes lip syncin. I guessed I guessed wrong.

Most songs, not just in Muppet productions but in all film and TV, are pre-recorded and lip-synched to.

Dave has always played Uncle Matt.

Thanks and sorry about that. I never knew. I would have never supected Dave doing Matt. The voice and all almost sounds something close to what Jerry would of sounded like. I like that the preformers are able to sound like other puppeteers.

You know I could have sworn This thread was about poor continuity on Fraggle Rock. Not whether Jerry Nelson voiced Uncle Matt or not. Could we please stay on topic.

Uh, wouldn't that be suggesting anybody ELSE wanted to discuss neurotic minutiae about the show?--

You've been outvoted, so just sit back and let everyone else salvage a little fun out of it... :grouchy:

Actually, I thought that it made sense. Boober's the only Fraggle of the main six Fraggle characters who's never been in the water. He hates those type of things. Plus, if he would have joined them, it would have been difficult for him to save the others. But I do agree with you on the "Sprockets Big Adventure" note; but maybe sometime after he left the garden, but before he took Sprocket back to the workshop, he visited the Trash Heap... still doesn't make sense, though. One thing I notice is that when they got two characters that are voiced by the same person, you can tell which character the performer is doing. For example, in The Beast Of Bluerock, Large Marvin and Boober both have talking parts, and you can tell Dave Goelz is doing Large Marvin by watching Boober's mouth move. I'm not complaining about it or anything; it's actually kinda cool to see how they do these things.
