Does anyone know how KSY will be promoted? Will Kermit once again to TV appearances? Will there be merchandise?

Well, I think unless Sbarro has a happy meal tiein, there wont be much.(Sbarro pizza mall chains always have a Muppet video release tiein whether it be Muppet movie, Sesame, or Bear related)

Anyways, as far as KSY Appereances...Im curious...are Statler and Waldorf the only familair cameos? From Danny Horn's great review, Im not sure how many of those fan nuggets are in KSY promised at the MF panel last December. Maybe references to Frackles and Gorch was too obscure for most people.

Yeah, I doubt there will be much merchandise for KSY.

Yeah yeah! Those two would be awesome but please, no figures of the humans. The only human I liked was the pet shop owner just because he looked so animated!!

The lack of fan buzz and reviews on MC leads me to believe KSY is barely even worht a rent next month.

They would be smart not to promote this movie. Promotion might actually alienate more fans as opposed to bringing in new ones due to the poor quality of the movie.

I've heard a lot of positive reviews about the film from those who've seen it. Not everyone liked it, of course, but there has been sufficient amount of those who enjoyed it that there isn't a |lack| of buzz.

Most of the negative comments about it are coming from people who haven't even seen it. You guys don't want to see it, fine. Don't blame others for your lack of desire to see it.

Okay, now go and ignore this post and pretend I said that I really hated Kermit's Swamp Years and that it is a sin against humanity. Yeah. :)

Sh. liked KSY, btw. :)

People should at least see the movie before expressing their comments on it.

I think that most of the positive reviews are due to people being in denial that they could actually make a movie as bad as KSY. I think that they are letting all of the good memories of past muppet projects bias their opinion on this movie. Maybe some people just wanted so badly for this movie to be good that they actually start to believe it even though in the world of reality the movie was a real stinker.

Well, although I thought it was okay (I didn't really like the human parts, and "froggy pants" is just way too stupid for a muppet movie). I definitely see where your coming from Joseph. I think in certain instances its true. Maybe not for the Struble, but definitely for others :)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

What are the reasons why you liked the film and would you recommend it to others and their children??

Yes! I think that paired with American History X really made Ed Norton my favorite actor. He's awesome! And Robin Williams played his role fabulously!!! :)

LOL! Like the day after seeing this movie Joe and I went to his aunts house where his little cousins were watching this tape. IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE SMOOCHY with the stupid dances and corny storylines! I didn't know those kinds of videos really existed!!! LOL!!!

When I go home for Christmas, I'll make sure my youngest cousins watch it. While I still have my childlike wonder intact, I don't know if I can judge quality by a current child's standards. I know my little cousins like Winnie the Pooh and when I do some human beatboxing, but that's it. So, yeah, I would recomend it.

Actually, many members have done write-ups of their idea of the movie and given it X-number of Kermits ratings.

My personal opinion is on there. I gave it a 3 Kermit rating out of 5 because it wasn't quite up to what I have come to expect from the Muppet people, but I am going to be watching it again.

My oldest wasn't too keen on the show, but my younger child was. Their ages are 17 and 9, so there is a difference in what tastes they have, and how they interpret the program. My oldest thought that it wasn't up to par for the Henson Company, while my youngest liked it because it was a Muppet movie, and he wants to see it again.

I stated that I would be purchasing the DVD for two reasons: I'm an avid Muppet fan, and because I am really hoping that the outtakes that were shown on Starz! are going to be on the DVD. If the outtakes are on there, along with commentary or anything else with the movie, it will be worth the price of the DVD. The outtakes shown on Starz! were hilarious and rated a 10 out of 5 Kermits from me.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on movies, books and all things in life. Anyone who didn't get to see the show can read about it here on Muppet Central (Phillip has a nice place for the reviews), or they can watch the movie.

Opinions on things like this are a bit like voting...if you don't experience it, you really can't complain about what is right or wrong about whatever the issues are. Also, everyone is entitled to one, and no one has a right to say that they are right or wrong for choosing the way they do.

I hope your youngest cousins don't start attacking each other with sharp objects or don't suddenly have the urge to dissect a small animal.

Or become very bad actors in a Muppet movie. LOL

Or start saying "froggy pants," which is by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard in a Muppet movie...

I'm not sure the acting could have been any worse than it was.
