Ever wonder about Nanny how they always showed just her legs? From the waist down. Ever wonder what she looked like?

I once had a dream where she had an afro and more humane version of the Wicked Witch of the West. Kind of creepy actually...

Yes, but I always had her pictured as an elderly woman with with hair and a hat.

I always thought she'd be kinda ugly and blonde. I don't know why though?

I can't tell,But I'd always thought she'd be pretty with long brown hair!
BTW,They never did show her face at all but when time when there was this one episode where the muppet babies about being a monster or something like that before and what happened was nanny imagined her self being a monster and it did show her face before which was just a monster with long pretty brown hair or so.

na! she wouldn't have been blound hair! and I'm assuming since the moster had brown hair, so would she.. cource, for myself, I always assumed she would have short brown hair, and probably wear a hat most of the time :p

Remember on Peanuts on we never saw the adults of heard their voices? I think Muppet Babies copied that idea of the Muppet Babies world being only for children.

If Palisades ever made the Muppet Babies toy line; wouldn't it be rully funny if they made a Nanny action figure that was just from the waist down?
I remember a Muppet Babies live show (can't remember if it was on ice or just guys in suits running around), but a giant pair of just legs that extended beyond the top of the curtain beyond the audience's view was how Nanny was portrayed.... I feared those legs... I thought she would come into the audience and kill me and everyone else!
Rowlf: Hi Nanny! What're you up to?
NannY: Hi Rowlf! I'm going to kill the audience! Bwa Ha Ha Ha Ha! SQUISH SQUASH SQUOOSH!!!

I seem to remember seeing nanny's top half and face in one of the muppet baby storybooks. I've passed them on to my kids and I'll look later. If I find what I'm thinking of, I'll scan it in and post it if yous would like.

I kind of wish that Nanny would kind of be like the Teacher in the charly Brown Cartoons where you really cant understand her. but the kids could. and i think nanny would be a very old lady. maybe even Jane henson typ. of corse i dont know jane very well she just seems the typ of Nanny for the Muppet Babies. I also want to say if she ever does come on here that i dont think of Mrs. Henson as old i just think she would make a good nanny.

So far, of the books I've located there are more to find, I still have not found Nanny's face. But I know I've seen it somewhere. The search continues.
My mother bought my youngest a stuffed Piggy for Christmas and it came with a one episode DVD of Muppet Babies. Remember the one when it was raining and the babies had to play inside with the activity book?
I enjoyed it more than the kids did!

maxdrive

i think it was to show the story more though a babys eye level like your the same size of the muppet babies when you look at them from that hight all you would be able to see would see up to nanny's socks

Also I've noticed that when they have another adult on the show, they don't show their faces either. Like when Nanny invited their neighbor Officer Caruthers over, they didn't show his face, just his lower body. Or Mr. Jenkins, the guy who came to take away one of the old chairs. Or a zookeeper who came to reclaim a lost koala. And Nanny's sister who came over to watch the kids. And in their imagination, they met a vicious cowboy called One Eyed Jake, whose face wasn't show either.
I think the only adult faces that were shown were Waldorf's and Statler's.

Yeah I think that's right, because they are "Muppets" as opposed to "real grown ups."

I have to say that I never really thought about what she looked like? But no that you mention it I would think she's not really old, like in her 40's or so.
Wouldn't it be something in Muppet Babies that instead of Nanny. What if Hilda was the babies watcher. I just thought about that, I think it would of be kinda cool.
