Now just remember it. *thinks for a few minutes* I got it! Now i remembered. Ok everyone get some twigs from outside.

Ok. Everyone have some twigs?

Everyone: Yes!

Good. Here goes.

Claudia: No experimenting? O_O *Getting heart attack*

Bunsen: Why is it that people fancy the thought of a Scientist having a twisted play with chemicals? I for one actually am glad I am just using my head and a sheet of paper to note down much needed facts. It assists me more with my projects and it's much much easier than to look incredibly ingenius by just stirring some colorless liquid while tolerating the irritating odor that is...chemicals. Besides, I get hot wearing my lab coat!

*Takes it off happily and hangs it*

Claudia: *Faints*

Beaker: MEEP!

Bunsen: Gee, as if I've never had a suit on before. *Shakes head* I don't ALWAYS wear a lab coat you know? Get the chili sauce--extra spicy.

Oh come on... You guys know you're part of the family too... Kim's like an aunt, sister to Lisa, with her feet firmly rooted in the library. Hmmm, it's possible Erin takes after her side of the family. And Bryan, you know you're like another brother, what with our being Sesame seed comrades in arms.

And Prawny... You did start it all... Go back to that 30th of December thread and you'll see that you are indeed the father of all this madness. But enough of that, twas a momentary silly attack I had. So now let's movit right along and get back to the dorms.

Since the dorms will be closed as of tomorrow, I propose we get together and wish Claudia a happy early birthday, it's on the 28th of the Augustine month. Any cards or gifts can be left with her science class roomies, hope to see you at the party later tonight.

Robot Kermit: <wraps a spindly arm casually along her waist> Tomorrow's the deadline, but Leyla's got a job interview tomorrow and won't have time to pack.
Wanda: <peering over Leyla> It's awfully late in the day to be sleeping. Are we sure she's not sick? Or ... <pokes sleeper to no effect> dead?

Wasn't able to send this personally to all the people who are registered, something about some addresses being incorrect. So I'll just post this here and trust that everyone gets the mews and then starts sending in their submissions.

Hello from the dorms management team. OK, it's time for Round 1 of this year's anniversary shake up. The dorms will be closed from today, August 27, until next week when we will reopen our doors on Labor Day. If you feel that you might not be suited for continued living in the dorms, please reply either to this message or via PM and let me know so. If you wish to return to the dorms, then you'll have to resubmit your application. As of this moment, the register is completely wiped clean. That means that the first to request a certain character will be the first to receive consideration for claiming said character as a roommate. The Count von Count will be living with me of course, and for the time being Scooter will be assisting us with the reapplication duties. If anyone has special requests, then please let me know also, as arrangements between two petitioners can be negotiated. Please remember to tell me which room number you want, from 1 to 44. The rooms on the fourth floor will be left vacant should we need them, pending on demands for new residents at our home away from home. An official message will be posted as well with the rules at a later date once the submissions start trickling in.
If you have friends on MC that might enjoy being part of our dorms community, then invite them in and tell them to send in an application as well. Hope this helps and have a great day everybody.

There is someone with a sledgehammer pounding on the door of Ru's bedroom. After a couple of attempts to cover her ears with the bedraggled and not-very-recently-fluffed pillows, she realized that the sound is coming not from the door but from inside her own head. She sits up and reaches automatically for a tissue, which she uses to dab at her nose.

Catherine: (softly) Ow. Ow. Ow ow ow.
There actually IS sound at the door now--furtive whispering that is as loud as any normally-pitched voice. Catherine picks out the voices of her roomies--Fozzie's anxious whine, Piggy's growly demands and Kermit's attempts to moderate--and even though her head is pounding, she smiles.
Catherine: I'm up already. Come on in.
(There is an abrupt cessation in speaking, and she sighs.)
I'm awake already--and I can hear you. Come on in and don't lurk in doorways.
(The three roomies trundle into the room, looking sheepish.)
Kermit: Sorry--we didn't mean to wake you.
Catherine: (stuffily) You didn't. I had to get up to turn off my head.
(Fozzie looks confused but Kermit nods in understanding. Piggy pushes past Kermit and walks over to the edge of the bed. She puts a calculating hand on Catherine's forehead.)
Piggy: (briskly) Fever's down.
Fozzie: (impressed) How do you know?
Piggy brushes her long, golden hair back from her face.
Piggy: While it's true I'm not a nurse, I--
Kermit: --played one on television.
Fozzie: --played on on tv.
Catherine: --played one on Vetrinarian's Hospital.
Piggy: (growling, now) Well, her fever IS broken!
Catherine: I think it is--but how could you tell?
Piggy: (not unkindly) Because you're all sweaty and disgusting, dear.
Catherine: (honking her nose into the tissue) How nice of you to notice.
Kermit: (hastily) Um--well, that's good, right? It means you'll start feeling better soon...doesn't it?
Catherine: (blearily) Actually, I do feel better already.
Fozzie: (skeptically) Really? Cause you look kindof drippy and, you know, puffy.
Kermit: Fozzie!
Catherine: (holding up a hand to stop her urstwhile defender) No--no, I think Fozzie was being quite kind under the cirsumstances. But I think I might manage to live after all.
Kermit: Oh, good. Can we, um, get you anything?
Catherine: No--I'm good. I'm going to dose myself and try to hurl myself back into sleep.
Fozzie: Won't that hurt?
Catherine: (smiling faintly) I don't think so. But I feel worlds better than I did now that I've had a good long snooze, so I bet I'll feel fine by tomorrow morning.
Fozzie: Does this mean you'll cook for us?
Kermit: Fozzie!
Fozzie: Gee--I was just asking...
Piggy: Ignore the bear. You don't need to think about cooking us breakfast. But I doooo have a teensy little interview after lunchtime, so if you can't sleep and you feel like ironing....
Kermit: Piggy!
Catherine: (laughing) I'll see what I can do, Piggy. And I'll do my best to be up and cooking by tomorrow, okay Fozzie?
Fozzie: I, um, hope you feel better.
Kermit: Yeah--we'll get out of here so you can get back to sleep.
Piggy: (leaning down impulsively and pecking her roomie on the top of her head) There--feel better, sweetie. We all want you up and around again.
Catherine: No one more than me! Thanks, guys--thanks for looking out for me!
Kermit: No problem! (He steers everybody out of the room.) There--see, I told you Fozzie--she's gonna be fine.
Fozzie: But I was worried! And I've missed her.
Kermit: Yes, I know--she was gone for over a week, and now that she's home she feels rotten, but she'll be up and around soon and things will get back to normal.
Piggy: (giving Kermit a look) Normal?

Erin: Right on. Ruthie found it during one of her trips overseas several years ago. It's not too big, and it runs on electricity, but it looks like something you'd find in the Alexander Palace.
Nora: (chuckle) You do take your tea drinking seriously.
Erin: Yeah, so what do you call the people who insist on importing and grinding their own coffee beans and all that stuff?
Nora: Too true. I'll be over in a bit. Storyteller's gone back to the Rock to pack up more of her stuff.

(Erin hangs up, adds water from the now-heated samovar to the teapot, and lowers in a tea ball containing a scoop of Earl Grey and some crushed lime leaves.)

You'll notice that we're trying to fill up the first two bottom floors before assigning any rooms on the upper two floors, this is to make sure that everybody's next to each other and the people participating at the dorms will do so.

If you can't find the Muppets' exact birthdates, then the airdate of their first onscreen appearance or the birthday of their respective Muppeteers will do instead.

2 Roommates.
The one rule we insist upon here at the MC Dorms when choosing a roommate...
You can have any Muppet character you want, save obvious ineligible choices like baby Muppets, so long that character or characters haven't been taken
by anyone else.

Additionally, to save on headaches...
a. Number of Roommates.
From now on, the limit of roommates one person can have is a total of five (5) roommates. Just because you can have five roomies doesn't necessarily mean
that you have to have five roomies. You can have just two or three or four. It's up to you guys when filling out the forms.
b. Roommate Choices.
Yes, you can decide to change your roommates if you arrive at that decision. However, I would ask that you think long and hard before submitting any changes
to your current party's roster. The roommates you choose are the characters others will associate with you, and I would prefer to avoid another "revolving
room" situation like what happened in previous years.

3 Participation.
The best example of this I can think of is SkeeterMuppet, known to us as Kim. She wasn't plugged in here every single moment, every single day. Her posts
weren't every single other post in the thread. However, she still managed to post moderately/normally enough to evidence that she was involved, in her
own and in dormwide activities.
So if you're going to join, please make an effort to post regularly and show you're part of the group.

4 Review Committee.
This is a select group of six (6) people who are among the most active longtime members of the dorms. The committee will report their decisions to Beth, who in turn will keep me informed or defer any cases to myself in the event of a tie vote when deciding on new applicants' submissions.

5 Dorm Life.
Once you become part of the dorms, you'll be expected to:
a. Provide a room layout, but only if you truly wish to do so to let others know about how you have your particular little domains arranged. (
b. Submit your dorm robe preferences for each member of your party. Include main color, sleeve/trim color, and whatever additional detailing. We will attempt to get you your robes as quickly as possible, no guarantees though.
c. Interact normally/naturally, both with your own roomies and with others should you see them hanging out or engaged in dorm activities.

6 Other Rules/Notes.
a. The roommate(s) you choose will be the ones you yourself can interact with directly, no questions asked, so long as it doesn't go beyond the Muppety
norm.
Ex: If I choose to room with my namesake, then I can have The Count von Count appear wherever I choose, interacting with the rest of you guys.
b. The roommate(s) chosen by others can not be directly controlled by others, unless in the following circumstances:
1. Grand musical number/song that involves other characters that aren't your roommate(s) nor even registered as roommates.
2. When someone has asked you specifically to look after their roommates, or arrangements to that effect have been made.
c. There will be periodical dormwide events, including but not limited to:
1. Annual trip to Sesame Street on its birthday, November 10 or that weekend.
2 Thanksgiving Day lunch/dinner, if there are enough people around here to attend.
3. Christmas celebrations.
4 Individual birthdays or other parties as such.
5. Any Hensonville sporting events.
d. Any person not registered as a dorm resident should contact me first with whatever questions about dorm life. Would appreciate you not post in the thread until your questions have been answered, and hopefully (if approved) you are allowed to move in as a registered dorm resident.

Room Description

Claudia’s side

Entering the room, you notice a huge framed picture of Charles Spencer Chaplin holding a rose appearing deep in thought as if the night sky had whispered to him something mystical as he takes a reverent pause on the way down the stairs only hoping for a miracle. The grayscale picture is placed a little above her bed where Claudia could wake up and simply turn her head to face a towering picture with her one true idol. You’ll find that the bed is a pristine white until you note picture patterns of Chaplin committing some of his most romantic acts with Edna Purviance, Paulette Juliet Goddard, ect. looking terribly comical yet tender at the same time—all pictures from his films of course. Next to her bed stands a small white nightstand complete with a music box that sits happily on it.

The music box is orb shaped, giving it a simplistic elegant feel as its little diamonds glow brilliantly going well with the pictures of Chaplin demonstrating his gentlest looking expressions. Once you open it, it produces a wonderful sound that plays “Smile” while he slowly pops out to twirl for your entertainment. The little Chaplin figure has on a forlorn face with a red rose in his hand. Around the musical orb there is a strange lamp that takes on the shape of a white tree with branches sticking out with each tip having a light bulb of different colors. It stands at a good six inches.

Her wall is covered with artistic collages of famous actors, actresses, and singers from the older times.

Basically, her side of the room looks like a silent movie keeping a sort of strange elegance that would charm a select few for the weird adornments she has.

The infamous duo’s side

He has the typical bunk bed for him and his assistant, Beaker. Once you move away from the bed you spot a colorful collection of the strange and peculiar trapped in jars, containers, and the like. Some sights may disturb you or excite you such as alien body parts, a clone of Beaker stuck in a green container, or the alignment of flasks of every shape and size that create a groovy environment that spells danger. It is the typical style of a cliché laboratory except more advanced and pretty!

Dr. Van Neuter’s side

Very much a copy of his old lab in Muppets Tonight except a little more cleaner and less dark (Claudia had to tell him that she hated how messy his lab came out---such a neat freak she is.)

Here is what the room will look like once everything is decorated - and once the occupants have had their pizza.

You come in through the door and enter the common room. The room is furnished with a sofa, a few squashy armchairs and bean bag chairs, a coffee table, an old-fashioned radio (plays records, tapes, CDs and MP3s, and has an AM/FM setting) and a television set. There is various artwork on the walls, and there are a few area rugs.

The common room is also the location of Storyteller's hut (predominantly stone and moss but with a few palm trees outside).

Straight ahead is the kitchen/dining area, painted in cream with dark gold trim. There is a glass and wrought-iron table set for five in the center, with a turquoise and burgundy cloth on it. The kitchen contains the usual and necessary appliances, as well as other items needed for cooking and baking.

To the left of the common room is the bathroom. There is a black-and-white tiled floor, and the walls are gold and green. On the walls are photos of famous cafes and clubs in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and other cities.

To the right of the common room is the hallway leading to the four bedrooms. Scooter and Beige have the rooms on the left side, and Erin and Nora have the rooms on the right.

Erin's room: The walls are bright blue with orange trim, and the carpet is a dark indigo. The bed (carved cherry wood frame) is covered with a multicolored striped and diamond-patterned quilt, and has a couple of throw pillows on it. On top of the dresser are a few potted plants. Nearby is the desk, containing Erin's computer, printer and radio, as well as her tea mugs, a few boxes of tea bags and a lava lamp. There are shelves full to bursting with books (mostly mystery and fantasy), next to a dark red armchair with an afghan thrown over it. Erin's guitar sits in its stand by the chair, and there are a few books of music stacked near it. The walls are covered with rock and theater posters, a large photo of the Tower Bridge in London and a few Japanese woodcuts.

Nora's room: Pale purple and blue-striped walls and a dark blue carpet, with a few rainbow-colored rag rugs. Nora's bed is an iron scrollwork model covered with a purple and gold quilt, which has a deerstalker and magnifying glass pattern. There are bookshelves full of mystery novels, and they are much more neatly arranged than Erin's shelves. There is a scroll top desk containing Nora's computer and a few books. On the walls are a few paintings, some movie posters and a large framed photo of the Algonquin Round Table.

Scooter's room: The walls are bright orange, and the carpet is dark green. The bed is covered with a bright green bedspread with orange stripes. Scooter's shelves are full of books, and of mementoes of all the TMS guest stars. The aforementioned R2-D2 coin bank now sits on top of Scooter's dresser, next to a photo of Scooter with his mother and sister. Scooter's guitar leans up next to his desk, along with his telescope, and his skateboard pokes out from under the bed. There are Muppet Show posters on the wall, along with movie posters, a dartboard, and photos of Scooter with the guest stars.

Beige's room: The walls are a light cream, and the carpet is a dark greenish-gray. Beige's bed is made to resemble a niche in a cave, with swirled and water-etched stalagmites. The bed is covered with a bright blue comforter. On the night table is a small rock fountain. The bookshelf contains a number of books, including a compilation of Traveling Matt's postcards, and a guidebook to Fraggle Rock. The walls are covered with a number of rock paintings, common in both the Rock and the Cave, and a few photos of Beige's family and friends.

Room Description

Janice, Zoot, and mine's side

We have the side closest to the door. It has the TV, Stereo and Wii on this side. Janice and I share a bunk bed, and Zoot has a seperate bed. My bed has Zebra print sheets, Zoot's are tan, and Janice's are paisley printed. The walls are red, with purple and navy stripes going horizontal. On the wall are a few posters, mainly of Homestar Runner and Movies. There's a dresser right next to a curtian divider. On the dresser, is a lava lamp, my manga books, and a stuffed bear. My keyboard, Janice's guitar, and Zoot's sax are also on this side.

Dr. Teeth, Floyd, and Animal's side.

On the other side of the curtian is the other's side. Dr. Teeth and Floyd share a bunkbed, and Animal has a hammock. Dr. Teeth has tie-dye sheets, Floyd has army print ones, and Animal's hammock is red with green spots. They have the mine-fridge, desk, and computer chair there. Their walls are solid green, with a black border. Their dresser is by the curtian too. On it, are a pair of drumsticks, guitar pick and string, and a Nintendo DS Lite. They also have Dr. Teeth's keyboard, Floyd's bass, and Animal's drum set there.

Room description:
To the left and right of the door are desks with computers to be shared by all. Many pics of the Fraggle Five, friends and family of all roomies and of a couple of the girls' sweethearts are surrounding the computers. On the left of the room is a set of bunkbeds. Beth's is the bottom with a purple flowered comforter, many pillows and a few stuffed bears and animals. Wanda has a music note comforter up on the top bunk and only one pillow. On the right side of the room a hammock hangs from either corner, one is Red's the other is Mokey's. They have a few blankets and pillows, nothing too fancy. Mokey's plant Lanford is on a shelf just under her hammock. Abby's bed is on the floor in between each hammock, her bedspread is pink, she has a teddy bear and her special blanky. Mokey's artwork adorns the walls, trophies from Red's swim meets are on the shelves, Abby's wand has a place of honor on a shelf near her bed and there are framed pictures of Beth and Wanda from several of their various singing engagments. A t.v./dvd is at the back of the room by the windows with many bean bag chairs surrounding it. The closet is full of fancy clothes of Beth and Wanda's, Red's sweaters, Mokey's cloaks and Abby's tutus. Of course near the door is a Fraggle hole where Red and Mokey can come and go to the Rock as they please.

Kim: *stands back* I think that's it, guys...we're all unpacked.

The set-up of Room #19 is pretty much the same as it was last semester. The room's the standard rectangular shape of any other dorm room. On the right side of the room as you enter are Tosh and Boober's beds; Tosh has a bunk bed while Boober has a platform (that's non-converting) futon. Tosh still has the top bunk while the bottom futon is converted into its sofa position. Tosh has a plum and olive-green quilt and cream-colored sheets on her bed, and she still has the curtain around her bunk. Her pillows have plum-colored cases. In between the Tosh's bunk and Boober's bed is a chest of drawers that is the perfect height for two Fraggles. The top two drawers are for Tosh's things, like her Fraggle pebble collection. The bottom drawers are Boober's and hold all of his cleaning and laundry supplies. Boober has a brown blanket and cream-colored sheets on his bed, and tan pillowcases on his pillows. On the wall near his bed is a peg where he can hang his hat and his scarf when he goes to bed.

The left side of the room is the "grown-ups'" side, or Gillis and Kim's side. The bed, which is near the closet, is a loft-style bed. This is Kim's bed; it has a quilt of lavender, green and white squares with flowers embroidered over them, purple sheets and purple cases on her pillows. At the head of the bed is a taller dresser that's shared by Kim and Gillis, and the top of which Kim uses for a nightstand. Underneath Kim's bed are the TV/VCR and DVD player, and a smaller bed belonging to Gillis. Gillis' bed has white sheets and an olive-green blanket. The TV/VCR and DVD player sit on a wooden TV stand that has a cabinet on the bottom. Inside is their DVD and VHS collection, including Seasons 1 and 2 of TMS, Doctor Who and the Marx Brothers. Beside the TV is a small refrigerator filled with pop, fruit juice, water and extra Doozer sticks (which taste just as good cold).

On the wall opposite the door is a desk that is roughly 3/4 the length of the wall. Above the desk are bookshelves the same length as the desk. On those shelves is Kim's book collection, including her copies of Harpo Speaks! Of Muppets and Men and Jim Henson: The Works. Also on the shelves are photographs of the roomies' friends and family - the rest of the Fraggle Five for Boober and Tosh, the Minstrels for Gillis (one group shot, and an individual shot of Brio), and one of former roomie Betty Lou. On one end of the desk is the computer; the other end is left empty in case someone wants to do some writing or drawing. School supplies are kept in the desk drawers. The remaining quarter of the wall is a window.

The closet is on the same wall as the door, and like last year is divided in half. One half is for clothing - Tosh's dresses, Gillis' jackets and Kim's wardrobe. On the floor is the laundry basket and the hamper. On the shelf above are Kim's shower caddy and the room's first-aid kit (always kept stocked by Boober), not to mention extra cleaning supplies. There is also a screen to be used for privacy when changing your clothes. The other half of the closet belongs to Tosh's Beast. He has a large dog bed with a yellow blanket and a fluffy pillow. At night (or when the roomies have to go somewhere without him), his rope attaches to a hook on the wall. Tosh keeps extra rope in one of her dresser drawers. Also on the floor of Beast's side of the closet are various toys for him to play with.
