Me:That was a delicious meal JFS, what a surprise. I'm going to visit my family in Omaha for Thanksgiving, I'm afraid, but I'll keep in touch using the forum on our computer *wink

Rizzo:Oh well, more thanskgiving feast food for me hehe.

Don't worry this time, Rizzo'll still be around during the entire time, except for maybe Thursday, because my folks and I might be going over to Uncle Frank's and I might not make it onling that day.

OK... a few points.
JFS, course we saw how vonderfully you decorated the common rooms for SS's birthday. The meatloaf with mashed potatoes was exceptionally delicious. Along with the French fries, and some of the sides, the number cookies were my favorite.

Christyb, no problem, we could go out and get the ingredients to make a sweet potato and pecan pie. Or should it be just a pecan pie?
Well, LMK and I'll see what I can get at the supermarket.
Have a good time everybody.

I know that the monsters had said something about there mothers and the gang coming over but thats when they (that is I just) remembered that they'll be on the float. So I'll be here to give you some help w/ the dinner. Oh Buddie is my cat. I'll be here. *goes to his room*

You know Kyle, I'm glad you brought that up. Haven't seen/read anything about the plans for this year's parade float appearances for the Muppets. Will be looking forward to it tomorrow morning.

OK, the turkeys are marinating, and the chestnuts have been boiled. Will peel those little suckers a bit later this morning. The pies are bought and stored in the ffridge, just have to put them in the microwave before serving.
The other veggies will go in for a boil tomorrow morning.
All I rully need help with is setting the table and the mashed potatoes. Will make the stuffing later today.

Hey Kyle, maybe you can get the SS gang to come by after the parade's done? Just a thought. Happy T-Day to everyone wherever you may be!

Haven't thought of that. I'll call Ernie and tell him to spread that word. *phones Sesame Street* Hey there Ernie. I know that ya'll we'll be on the float tomorrow morning. You think you and gang could make it by the dorms after the parade?

Ernie: I don't know why not. I'll spread that word Kyle. See ya'll tomorrow. Bye.

Count! Count! There you are. He said he would spread the word. So you better have alot. I have to go to the store. Come on Buddie.

*Pets Beauty, Kyle's cat.

Bye Beauty. Sure hope I might have a cat as a pet in the future.
Well, the chestnuts are peeled, got the sore fingers to prove it. My bats helped clawing off the peels from the ones I couldn't handle myself earlier this morning. Like I said, everything's pretty much taken care of. Just have to cook the turkeys tomorrow, make the stuffing with all the fright components, and put the veggies in to boil. Would also need help with the decorations/getting the place tidied up for the dinner.
Well, gonna work on a T-Day present for the rest of the forum now.

I missed the float. (being out here in the country we can't get our channels that we normaly watch the parade) Oh well since we now have CBS on our satelite I'll be able to see it next year.

Herry, Cookie and Grover walk through the door

Hey there guys. So how was it?

Grover:The same. I did enjoy seeing all the people that came out to see us and hanging w/ my friends too.

Cookie M: Me had great time. Me mommy had cookies for everyone on the float.

Herry: Thanks by the way Cookie for those cookies. Oh Kyle you wouldn't believe what happed.

What? :excited:

Herry: I fianlly got to see the Garfield float. It was neat.

I'm gald ya'll had a great time. Oh by the way this Sunday, me, my sis, nieces and brother-in-law our going to see Sesame Street Live. I didn't know if ya'll wanted to go?

Hi guys, glad to finally see you at last.

Hi JFS, hope you have a "Feliz Día de Acción de Gracias".
Kyle, you didn't miss that much. It was a lovely float designed to look like the brownstone 1-2-3 apartment. The gang was there singing the song "The Street I Live On" from the Season 35 premiere/special.
What I'm upset with is how long they made me wait till the SS gang showed up on the parade schedule. Normally, they're out in the first hour and I'm glad all over after watching it. And that Kurrik woman couldn't keep her facts straight, misquoting the people who spoke before her.

Ah well, you're lucky I'm still up working on the listings. Made some errors with my files, and I'm starting the thing all over again with the stats done tediously but carefully.
Come on, I'll get you guys some T-Day leftovers. Might as well brake to recharge my batteries and get a glass of milk and cookies.

You coming Cookie Monster?

OK then, let's go.
The Breakfast Song's in my memory, but I don't know it by heart nor do I know the music to hum to.
Oh well, some cookies and milk for Cookie Monster... or would you prefer some cookie juice?
And a bowl of cereal with juice for me, unless all we got is Crystal Light.
Well, hope everyone has a good few days off from work and school.

JaniceFerSure

Me want a soft boiled cookie
And a glass of cookie juice on the side
Or for a change one morning
Me will have cookies scrambled or fried

It isn't hard each morning
To keep me satisfied
Just give me a soft-boiled cookie
And a glass of cookie juice on the side

Sometimes I have a bowl of some crunchy cereal
I'd even have some orange juice too
On other days my favorite is boiled eggs and toast
And sometimes a stack of pancakes is the breakfast I love most

I'd drink a glass of milk or a cup of cocoa
Or even have a cup of tea
So many things a fella can eat for breakfast
That's why breakfast is so much fun for me

JFS: Is this the breakfast tune you're talking about Count? I'll take some leftovers for lunch, thanks. I'll probably do some reading today(Children of Dune &/or The Godfather Returns).

And my songbird comes through yet again. Thanks JFS, that's the one.
OK, will heat up some leftovers for you. Does the band want anything or are they still perusing the penumbras of their private dreamscapes?
Well, should be a bit quiet round here for a while. Mokey's visiting with the other Fraggles down in Fraggle Rock, she'll be back next week. Gonna keep working on the ML, hopefully waiting for S9 to arrive at my local stores later today or tomorrow.

The bats are excited cause there's a new project that'll give them a chance to be counted, but you won't hear them making any noises now cause they're sleeping through the day. Lucky night creatures.
Hope you like the food you guys, and have a good weekend.

Only play I was ever in was first grade(no joke),where we performed Hansel and Gretel. My part was to hold the left side of the fireplace(so when the witch was thrown in it,the fireplace wouldn't move). Glad you had a good Thanksgiving Kyle.<reading Children of Dune & watching the John Denver Wildlife concert on tv>

Floyd: Hey J,have you noticed its gotten a little bit chilly here in the dorms? <putting on long johns underneath pjs>

JFS: Well,winter-time is almost here Floyd. Its just that time of the year.

Dr. Teeth: Send up the heat.<he he he>

Hey ho, nobody home, meat nor drink nor money have I none

An apple, a pear, a plum, a cherry,

One for peter, two for paul, three for him who made us all.

God bless the master of this house, and the mistress also
And all the little children that round your table grow.
The cattle in your stable and the dog by your front door
And all that dwell within your gates
We wish you ten times more.

Soal, a soal, a soal cake, please good missus a soul cake.
An apple, a pear, a plum, a cherry,
Any good thing to make us all merry,
One for peter, two for paul, three for him who made us all.

Go down into the cellar and see what you can find
If the barrels are not empty we hope you will be kind
We hope you will be kind with your apple and strawber’
For we’ll come no more a ’soalin’ till this time next year.

Soal, a soal, a soal cake, please good missus a soul cake.
An apple, a pear, a plum, a cherry,
Any good thing to make us all merry,
One for peter, two for paul, three for him who made us all.

The streets are very dirty, my shoes are very thin.
I have a little pocket to put a penny in.
If you haven’t got a penny, a ha’ penny will do.
If you haven’t got a ha’ penny then God bless you.

Soal, a soal, a soal cake, please good missus a soul cake.
An apple, a pear, a plum, a cherry,
Any good thing to make us all merry,
One for peter, two for paul, three for him who made us all.

Now to the lord sing praises all you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood each other now embrace..

Hope your week was a good one, talk to you later.<leaving out to the kitchen>

12-04-2004, 12:27 PM
Thanks, I needed that JFS. Well, the wreaths are already hung up and over the outer facade of the dormhouse. The Christmas tree needs to be bought and set up, not to mention the additional decorations like garlands and stockings and little streamers of blinking lights.
But the others will come in and help with that during the week. If not, then I'll summon the bats and get their help. Regarding the current project with the bats, it frustrates me sometimes that I can't make up my mind. Got these ideas and I know they're good, but I keep going over it and sometimes I end up hitting my head against the whole thing.
Sorry for the ramble, guess I should just stick with one plan of action and go with it. Mayhaps there'll be something to report soon, after I'm done with all my classes.
Hope everyone has fun at the dorms this weekend, as we get our chores and Christmas decorating done.

Ah, now that's groovy. Mokey's away at the Rock prepping for her finals at the end of semester, and I'm working on a few things myself. The budget's a little tight, but it'll be enough for all the shopping already done and what's left for presents for my family.
Gonna get some food now, anyone want something?

The S's were hung by the T's with care.
Oh sorry, guess you guys aren't familiar with the story of St. Alphabet.
Well, never mind, just suffice it to say that the stockings are in place on the sides of the furnaces in the common rooms. That way, we can still use the dumbwaiter without knocking them down each time.
The strands of lights are now working and decorating the lobby desk, and some additional decor's out in the lobby itself.
The place is looking nice, and it'll be even better with the trees. Hey, everyone should get something to hang on the tree's branches to show off the festive holiday mood here in the dorms. That is, if you guys want to.

Well, here's hoping for a vonderful holiday season this 2004.

Herry: And here's mine. *Herry's had red and white strips like his pants he wears but w/ christmas trees down the strips*

Now to hang mine. Same here Grover. My mommy made mine when I was just a little tyke. *Mine has a snowman w/ top hat, holding a wearth standing by a lamp post and a little tree by his side* There we go. Have all of our stockings up.

Grover: I like how yours looks Kyle.

I like everyones up there. They all look good.

Cookie M: Uh Kyle?

Cookie M: Do we still have to leave cookies for Santa?

Thats a the tradison Cookie. I've done that all year round. I love the holidays year round but Halloween and Christmas our my two favorites.

Hi guys, sure is nice to see the holidays in full bloom here at the dorms.
As for stockings... Mokey's is the one with snow-covered radishes around the trim of the sock. Mine's the one with the numbers 1, 2, 3, and a couple of bats riding on snowflakes.
Did you guys see the Christmas tree up in the common room? Thought it'd be a nice idea if we all contributed some ornaments for the tree, to show our dormhouse's unity.

Hi JFS, glad to see you're doing fine. Uh, what Christmas party? Do we have to bring anything special? Where's it taking place?
Well, I'll leave you with a merry thought, it's getting closer to Christmas every day now.
Ah ha! 20 mugs of hot chocolate for the dormhouse boarders! Hope you like the hot chocolate guys.

So the role play thread is the party. Boy could that get confusing for me err...Kermit. LoL. So I won't be at the party but Kermit will be. So if I get character confused between the two be patient with me.

<EM sings>:

Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah
The sweet celebration
Around the feast we gather
in complete jubilation

Many are the reasons for good cheer
Now that the Season of Lights is here
Many are the reasons for good cheer
Now that the Season of Lights is here

Together we'll weather
whatever tomorrow may bring
So hear us rejoicing and merrily voicing
the Hanukkah song that we sing
So hear us rejoicing and merrily voicing
the Hanukkah song that we sing

Oh Hanukkah, Oh Hanukkah
The Festival of Joy
A holiday, a jolly day
for every girl and boy
Whirling dreidels all week long
Eating latkes, singing songs
Whirling dreidels all week long
Eating latkes, singing songs

Now light them, tonight then
The candles all in a row
Retell the story of God in his glory
and dance by the flickering glow
Retell the story and God in his glory
dance by the flickering glow

Uh Ed? I wanted to ask you if Garfield, Odie, Nermal and Arlene could stay, while the monsters are away at the Muppet Christmas Party. Is that ok?See Jon asked me if I could take care of Odie and Garfield while he's away. I figured that he would of stowed away but he didn't seem to mind staying w/ me. On then Jon's folks asked me if I could keep Nermal since they would be going away for the christmas w/ Jon and Dr. Liz. So I said I'll see what I could do but they left before I could tell them that I might not be able to keep them. Then Arlene came over and heard that Garfield would be here and thats where I've been stuck ever since. Sorry for the ramble.

The EM has been way busy around here,Xmas shopping and putting up out stockings: Dr. Teeth's name is in gold scrolled lettering,Floyd's name is silver printed,Zoot's name is printed in green, and mine is in Italics in turquoise(my fav. color). Dr. Teeth: Nice menorah you have there Dee.

Dee: Thanks Dr. Teeth.I wanted to make sure since there was a lot of traffic here at the dorms,I just got the kind of menorah with the light bulbs(to light one each night); safety first.

When Christmas time is over and presents put away, don't be sad
There'll be so much to treasure about this Christmas day and the fun we've had

So may happy feelings to celebrate with you
And, oh, the good time hurry by so fast,
But even when it's over there's something you can do to make Christmas last:

<EM>
Keep Christmas with you
All through the year,
When Christmas is over,
You can keep it near.

<JFS>
Think of this Christmas day
When Christmas is far away.

<EM>
Keep Christmas with you
All through the year,
When Christmas is over,
Save some Christmas cheer.
These precious moments,
Hold them very dear
And keep Christmas with you
All through the year.

<Zoot>
Christmas means the spirit of giving
Peace and joy to you,

<Dr. Teeth>
The goodness of loving,
The gladness of living;
These are Christmas too.

<EM>
So, keep Christmas with you
All through the year,
When Christmas is over,

And keep Christmas with you
All through the year.

And one of my faves...
You know that that shark has.
Sharp teeth, yeah.
And he shows off
his pearly whites.

Just a jack-knife
Has old Mac Heath, yeah.
And he keeps it,
Out of sight.

When that shark bites.
With his teeth, yeah.
Scarlet billows,
Start to spread.

Fancy gloves
Wears old Mac Heath, yeah.
So there's nevah.
Never any trace of red.

<EM>
Somewhere beyond the sea,
Somewhere, waiting for me,
My lover stands on golden sands
And watches the ships that go sailing;

Somewhere beyond the sea,
He's (She's) there watching for me.
If I could fly like birds on high,
Then straight to his (her) arms I'd go sailing.

It's far beyond a star,
It's near beyond the moon,
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon.

We'll meet beyond the shore,
We'll kiss just as before.
Happy we'll be beyond the sea,
And never again I'll go sailing!

Pretty day
Sunny sky
Lovely pictures
Dance in your eyes

It all seems so right
It all seems so rare

Summer soft
Sudden breeze
Watch the wind
Play tag in the trees

The world is so bright
So perfectly fair

Lovers sing
Children dance
For a minute
We've got a chance

Why couldn't we fly
I know we'd get by

Sunny sky
Pretty day
Just a push
And we're on the way

Yes couldn't we ride
Side by side
Why couldn't we fly
I know we'd get by

Ha, it's great to be done with everything. Handed in both written works earlier this afternoon, and I'm done for this semester. Got half the number of creds now for my Doctorate at Law, at least if both professors validate the credits for having taken the courses. Well, had a vonderful B-Day, thanks to all the well-wishers who sent greetings and tidings of good cheer on that festive day. Opened up the Backstage Playset and built up in a place of honor in the collection. And it'll get better since I'll open up my S9 figures and add them to the collection too on Christmas. Just one item left and the family will truly be home for the holidays.

File a friendly chart

Life is like a journey
Who knows when it ends?
Yes, and if you need to know
The measure of a man
You simply count his friends
Stop and look around you
The glory that you see
Is born again each day
Don't let it slip away
How precious life can be
With a thankful heart that is wide awake
I do make this promise
With every breath I take
Will be used now to sing your praise
(Used now to sing your praise)
And beg you to share my days
With a loving guarantee
That even if we part
I will hold you close in a thankful heart
I will hold you close in a thankful heart
In a thankful heart

Hey hey hey! I was wondering if Bert, Ernie and I might shack up in room 5? It seems small and a bit dingy, but I think we could straighten it up!
Bert - Don't count on Ernie helping.
Vic - Yes I know Bert.
Ernie - Hey Bert, this looks like your room back on Sesame Street!
Bert - That's because you're always in there making a mess, Ernie!
Vic - Settle down guys, we gotta' make a good impression here!

Ah ha! New boarders! Velcome to the Muppet College Dorms. It's just me Eduardo, better known here on MC as The Count. Hey guys, nice choices for roommates.
*Going over register. And it pleases me to say that your choices are indeed available as roommates.
*Greets Vic Romano, Bert, Ernie, Uncle Deadly (MC), and Pepe.
OK guys, I'll grab the keys and show you to your rooms.
*Runs fingers along back wall of the lobby desk till reaching a marble 5 and a marble 20.
Let's go!

*Ushering new boarders to their rooms. Since Room #20 is on this same floor, we'll go there first.
*Leads new boarders through two sets of doors, the first separates the lobby and the stairwell, the second opens up to the hallway with the dorm rooms.
You'll notice that big room in front of you, that's the Common Room and there's one on each floor of this grand old dormhouse. OK, now we'll just turn to our right... And it should be... Ah yes, the third door on our right.
Here we are at Room #20. *Hands key to Uncle Deadly (MC) and Pepe. Hope you guys enjoy your stay, Christyb and Scooter are in Room #18 which is next to yours. And McFraggle and Kermit and Sam the Eagle are in Room #21, diagonally across from yours. My bats or Aaron will be by later with your luggage.
OK, let's go downstairs to Room #5 now.

*Leads Vic and Bert and Ernie to their room. OK guys, we could reach Floor 1 or the basement floor by going back out to the stairwell and going down the stairs. But there's a quicker way, and a way I suspect Ernie might like better.
*Leads guests to the Common Room. You see this fireplace here in the back right corner of the Common Room? Well, I'll tell you a secret. There's one on every floor, and that's because these furnaces have a dumbwaiter elevator we all use to get from floor to floor.
*Presses button and dumbwaiter elevator opens up. OK, down we go.
*Arrives at Floor 1 Common Room and all leave the furnace. Now we just need turn to our left, and it'll be.. ah yes... the third door on our left.
*Hands key to Vic Romano. Hope you guys have a good time here at the dorms. You might note a few things. The room diagonally across yours to your left is the Laundry Room, and the one diagonally across yours to your right is Room #4 inhabited by Kevin and Fozzie Bear. Also, the room that Mokey and I share is the first one in this wing of the dormhouse after turning to the left when exiting the Common Room. If you need anything, knock or leave a note on the door or at the lobby's desk. One of my bats will spot it and LMK. Speaking of which, a bat or two or maybe Aaron our resident bellboy might be here later with your luggage.
Again, I extend a warm welcome to our newest boarders, and hope you have a great time herre.

Glad you're happy with the current accomodations UD. BTW: You might want to capitalize Pepe's name, it sounds like "peep" without the capital P. Just thought you'd want to know.

Oh yes, before I forget, as soon as you new guys are settled in your respective rooms... Please give us a descript of how you envision your rooms to look like, catering to the tastes/needs of both yourselves and your particular roommates. It's your room, so you guys have free license to decorate it as you see fit. Hope this helps and have a great time.

Bert - Oh boy, the Laundry room is so close to ours!
Ernie - Oh good, Bert! I'm glad you're happy. Me an' Vic would love to stay and help you unpack, but we're gonna' head back to the dorm's pool!
Vic - Yeah, Uncle Deadly has a blast from a Supersoaker with his name on it!
Bert - Ernie! Vic! I can't unpack all by myself!
Ernie - Sure you can Bert! It'll just take longer! *snickers*

*Bats show up at Rooms #20 and #5 with luggage from new guests.
*Bats stay behind to help Bert unpack his and Ernie's and Vic's stuff where he tells them to.
Well, hope my little ones helped you out Bert. Now maybe you can run off and join the others at the pool for the water fight. Just stay clear of my Hydra Zord, I'm there to police the fight and make sure things don't get out of control.
Heh, I just know Ernie took his Rubber Duckie with him to the pools to help Vic. Well, have fun and hope to see you guys back here soon.

BTW: UD and Pepe, when's the housewarming party? LMK if you need help with anything, might bring some 7-layer salad if you want some.
OK, gonna get some food from the kitchen. Good night to all.

Vic - Hi Erine81981! Thanks for the warm welcome, and it's nice to meet all you blue monsters too!
Bert - Hey Ernie, Vic? I put all my bottlecaps from my bottlecap collection on the shelf in our room, but now they're gone and covered with all the Palisades action figures! Where are my bottle caps!?
Vic - Oh it's okay Bert, we just moved 'em under the triple bunkbeds for now.
Bert - But there's a whole other shelf there that's completely empty! Why can't my bottle caps go there!?
Ernie - Well that's where the Sesame Street action figures from Palisades are going to go when they come out, Bert. That shelf is reserved!
Bert - *sigh* I think I'd rather live with the monsters!

Morning all. *Whispers to Vic, if it's easier for you Erine81981's better known as Kyle round these parts.
Anyway, glad to see that someone else is thinking forward the same way I am. Got the double shelving unit in my room set up with the Muppets figures on the left, and the shelves on the right mostly freed up for the Sesame Street figures. Of course, I also use those for taking pics with my brother, but I can always move everything around and put it back in place later. As an added feature of our room, I have those shelving units tucked inside a walk-in closet, so if you wanna come by and take a look sometime just LMK and we can take a step inside my inner sanctum.

Hey Bert, sorry about your bottlecap collection getting shoved aside. Maybe you can ask for an extra shelf for your own things? Or maybe you can place a nail in the wall on your side of the room and hang the bottlecap collection proudly for all to see. Going to sort some things at the castle, be back in a few secs.

Vic Romano
01-04-2005, 10:21 AM
As the room looks now:
On the left wall; Mostly shelving units displaying Muppet Action figures and other memorabilia shared between Ernie and I. Against this wall is a three seater sofa, covered in laundry. Mostly damp towels and blue jeans.
On the back wall;
Hanging by the window are blue prints, top secret mission briefs, lists of equipment and character bios pertaining to the big puppet heist at the JHC as planned by Uncle Deadly, Vic Romano, Christyb and Beauregard.
On the right wall;
Three person bunkbeds, the top two cluttered with toys, video games and food (the top two are Ernie's and Vic's) the neat and tidy bottom one is Berts. Underneath the bed are a rather large collection of bottle caps. Next to the tall bed is a dresser, overpouring with clothes. On top of it is Ernie's Rubber Duckie, garlic cloves and scented oils taken from the bath tub and a huge supersoaker used regularly at the pool. The door to the bathroom is barely accessible from the large mess of which Bert seems to usually be struggling with.
On the first wall;
Next to the door is a poster of Phil Chapman and a "bat trap" as Ernie and Vic desire to catch one of the Count's bats to play with (and then give back to the Count, of course).

Vic Romano
01-04-2005, 10:23 AM

You know... not so much bothered by the garlic oils you have or the fact you want to catch one of my bats. What intrigues me is this planned puppet heist? If you feel more comfortable talking about it by PM, then go ahead. Not sure what the four of you are planning, and yet it makes me slightly curious.
Anyway, you remember I said you had the dorm's Laundry Room near to your own room? Well, if you head down the opposite direction when leaving the Floor 1 Common Room and head all the way down that corridor, you'll find that floor's Bathrooms on the last door down on your lefthand side.
Hope that helps some and hope there's a space there in your windowbox for some stray Twiddlebugs.

Link: Is it really January fourth?

Me: Yeah, but even more interesting...Palisades is to make Sesame Street figures!

Link: But it's January fourth?

Thanks Vic, will check it out.

Hi Ryan, well, here's what's happened.
Bert and Ernie have moved in with Vic Romano as new boarders here, and Pepe has also moved in with the MC forum member known as Uncle Deadly.
You missed out on a great party over at Miss Piggy's place during the Christmas holidays, though Rowlf was there and he sent you his best regards.
As for the Palisades figures... good news and bad news.
The bad news is that the figure of Sal Manilla hasn't found a retailer home yet, and what would've been S10 the figures from Muppets Wizard of Oz were canned. Hoping that Ken can get them made and released, if even not in conjunction with the movie's debut. Though maybe other last-second items like the Vet's Hospital 3-Pack and/or the Muppet Babies take precedence.
The good news is that they'll be making Sesame Street figures to be released later this year. The 2005 Tour figure will be Super Grover with a telephone booth and rotary payphone accessory. You can switch the heads and remove his trenchcoat to change him from his Grover Kent disguise to his Super Grover persona.
The S1 lineup has been announced as being Ernie, Oscar, Guy Smiley and the Two-Headed Monster. The most talked-about figure has been Oscar and the plans for his figure. The figure's body will be stuck in the trashcan, but it'll have a fully-detailed head and arms. The neat trick is that you can remove the arms and push the head down, and then put the trashcan lid to close the whole thing. And then you can attach his feet below the can to make it look as if he's moving while still inside.

Hope this helps and have a good day.

Vic Romano
01-04-2005, 12:43 PM
Bert - Hey, wait a minute! Why are they making a figure of Ernie first and not me!?
Vic - We've talked about this in the forums before Bert, and most of us agree with you that it's not fair.
Ernie - Yeah, old buddy, my figure's gonna' be pretty lonely on that shelf without your figure!
Vic - If it makes you feel any better Bert, there's no action figure of me either.
Bert - Not really, Vic.

Uncle deadly
01-04-2005, 01:18 PM
ok here is my room layout.
As you come in through the door you can see the sofa whoch is faced towards the television.
directly behind the sofa is the small kitchen area, and opposite the side of the kitchen is me and Pepe's king size bed.
beside my bed I have a file with folders and documents to do with our puppet raid invoving me Vic, Christy and Beauregard.
on the wall you can see as you come into the room, there are pictures of me and Pepe out partying and on our wacky adventures.
Like the time we went to the glue factory. ah, good times! You remember that Pepe?

Pepe- oh si, si good times ok, good times!

Hey, don't worry about it Bert. The folks over at Palisades know that you're an important guy and they'll probably have more to show us at Toy Fair in February this year. Ken hinted that they might have some tentative S2 and/or S3 lineups by then. Also hoping my namesake gets his figural due, but I'm willing to wait till then just basking in the collection and how great it'll look till then. Besides, you know that the figures will get made cause they have to add in the set pieces to make the diarama of the Street itself. Check out the last MIC article in the Palisades Club site from last year and you'll see what I mean.

Hey UD (MC) and Pepe, need any help with the party there in your room? When's it gonna be? Just hope you guys don't get carried away with the ruckus partying.
At least there'll be some sort of lingering holiday party vibes for now, Three Kings' Day on the 6th and the Fiesta de San Sebastian on the 15th.

*Ernie looks down slightly disappointed as their names are no longer exactly the same*

Sorry about that Erine. If it makes you happy I'll let you call me by that name if you want too.

Cookie M: Any sign for me of being a dolly?

Grover: Not Dolly Cookie. An action figure.

Cookie M: Me call it dolly got it.

Grover: Ok if thats right.

Herry: If you need anything moved I'll be willing to help ya'll.

The Count
01-04-2005, 08:50 PM
Nope, none yet Cookie. Though the original plans from the folks at Fun-4-All who originally had the license did plan for a figur... er dolly in your likeness, with a plate of cookies and a letter C Muppet.
But now the even better folks at Palisades have the license, and I wouldn't be surprised if your dolly were an anchor figure for any of the next few series. Guess we'll have to wait till Toy Fare in February to know something, tentative though it may be. Then again, I wouldn't worry about it, they know what they're doing over there at that company. And in my humble opinion, they might use their Rowlf figure from the Backstage playset as a reference in terms of the body and/or height. Course, the head would have to be changed, but I think it's a viable option.
Rully excited at the thought of getting Cabin Boy Gonzo and Rizzo and Super Grover this March.

Well, it's a bit of a bitter-sweet day here in the dorms. As most of you know, Mokey Fraggle's been my roomie since the beginning, from all the waaaaay back when the dorms first started. Well, it's been a great treat having her as my roommate, but someone else is hopefully moving into the dorms soon and Mokey thinks it's time for a change. So, I'm letting her stay with me till her new roommate shows up, if that person still wants to join us here at the dorms and have her as their roommate.

As for me, I'll be OK, cause the master of mathematics and the king of counting will be reunited at long last. Yeah, as soon as Mokey moves in with her new bunkmate, the Count von Count will grace the dorms with his presence and become my new partner in counting crime.
So, hope everyone else has a great day, waiting to see what happens next.

See, I'm taking pics of my figures for my personal collection album, and to create an overall Palisades Toys Muppets figures product guide. Got almost all the photos of everything else already, just gotta take pics of the S9 additions, Jim by himself out of the box, the S9 Group Photo, a few action shots, and then one last photo of my updated display. Not sure when the thing will be ready for showing, but know I'm at least working on it.

Maybe we should just give these Oreos to our resident grouch and leave him be till he wakes up of his own accord. C'mon, I got some regular Oreos, much better than those new-fangled variations. Also got Social Tea and Chips Ahoy, they go great with a tall frosty glass of milk.

You say you're exhausted Christy? Then here, try one of these delicious mint Oreo cookies. They'll put you to sleep in an instant. BTW: How's Scooter? As for goings-on here at the dorms... Uncle Deadly (MC) and Pepe, and Vic Romano and Bert and Ernie moved in as new boarders. There's also someone who's thinking of moving in who wants Mokey as their roomie. And Mokey thinks that it's time for a change, so if that person does finally register here at the dorms, she'll move out and my namesake will move in as my new roommate.
Hope you get a good night's sleep and R.I.P.

Hey thanks Count. Scooter's fine. Got a call from him a few days ago. He'll be back when the semester starts again. Right now he's with his family and torturing his twin Skeeter. BTW. Doc wants to know if I can take care of Sprocket the next semester. He's going on a tour of Europe. I told him I'd have to check with you first.
*Looks at the Mint Oreos.
Mint and Chocolate you say??? My favorite flavor combination. Thanks. Besides if they'll conk me out that's a good thing too.

Grover: Whats with the cookies?

Cookie M: Mmmmmm did me hear someone say cookies. Where are they? *runs around trying to find those sleepy cookies*

Herry: If he find them we're in big trouble.

Grover: Yep.

*Both Herry and Grover run after Cookie M.*

*sees everyone w/ those cookies* I'm not even going to eat any. Thanks but no thanks. *goes back in and watches some Simpsons episodes on my fifth sesason DVD*

Hey guys what's up? Goes to Grover and Herry...
You can let him have these cookies, after he eats them, he'll go straight to sleep.
Hi Christy, I guess Sprocket can stay with you for the semester. Just make sure he gets along with the Fraggles who are boarding here at the dorms. And it's Ryan who says the mint Oreos conk you out, since he and Link had some back in November and are only waking up again just now.
Hope everyone has a good night's sleep.

Me: Hi everybody! It’s so great to be here in the muppet dorm. I was lucky enough to get a veteran resident, Mokey Fraggle, to help ease my transition.

Mokey: It is my pleasure to help you with this new phase in your life experience.

Me: Well, time to get moved in, we’ll be in room 7 if anyone wants to stop by later for hot chocolate and doozer munchies.

Vic - Welcome Mupitz! Mokey, I don't think we've had the pleasure, nice to meet you!
Ernie - Wow, Mupitz and Mokey! Those names both begin with the letter M!
Bert - Ernie, we've done that bit before!
Ernie - She's a Fraggle Bert, do you really think they watch television in Fraggle holes?

*Arriving back at the dorms. Ah, I see Mupitz has finally gotten here. Well then, I may be losing a roommate but were gaining a new boarder. Happy to have you here Mupitz, let me get the key and I'll take you to your room.
*Runs hand along the lobby's back wall finding the marble 7.
OK, let's go. Mokey, you think we oughta treat her to the quick drop? OK then, step fright this way.
*Ushers Mupitz and Mokey through the two sets of doors to the Floor 2 Common Room's fireplace.
The thing is, that these fireplaces have a dumbwaiter elevator inside them.
*Presses button and all go inside. *Descend down to the bottom floor.
Now that we're here on Floor 1 or the basement room, we just have to turn to our left, and it'll be the last door down on our left. *Passes by own room, unoccupied room, and Vic's room.
OK, here we are, Room #7, it's fright next to the one with Vic and Bert and Ernie. My bats will be by shortly with your luggage. Hope you have a good time.

If she wants, Mokey can come over to my room and get whatever stuff she wants to take to her new room. Would say that she'd definitely have to pick up Lanford and take him to their new room too.
Oh yes, and don't forget to tell us how you plan on decorating your room. Post a descript as soon as it's ready.

*A shadowy silhouette appears at the lobby desk. "Yes, this is the place, the inwitation I got says to come and join him as his new roommate here at the MC Dorms."
*The sound of a lively chattering bat's squeaks can be heard over the stranger's shoulders. "Let me see, the letter of the day says to meet him or to go straight to Room #1 on Floor 1. Ah ha! He knows I love numbers so, this'll be the perfect college hexperience for us both!"

*The new boarder spots the wall with the keys behind the lobby desk. "Oh my! Such a lovely sight, I must count the numbers here on this lobby desk."
*Bat squeaks are heard again. "Oh yes, let's get downstairs to our room and meet our host."
*Both pass through the doors and into the dumbwaiter elevator inside the furnace. "Mmm, such a frightly touch, I must recommend it to all my fiends."
*Both passengers dissembark and knock on the door to Room #1.

Yes? Who's there? *Opens door and rejoices.
Ah ha, it is none other than my namesake, my mentor, my leige, the Count von Count!
CvC: "You're too kind, is this where we will stay here in the dorms?"
Yes, you'll be staying with me Eduardo, better known here on the boards as The Count (MC), but I'll differ my title to you my lord. Oh, and you brought Batty Bat with you, how nice. Hope he and Bella, my own pet bat, get along well.

Count: "You have a pet bat two? That's 2, 2 beautiful bats!"
*Thunder can be heard from outside. Ah, now that's what I like to hear. Come inside, the bats will bring your luggage down soon, we have to brainstorm over how to decorate the place.
Count: "Just so long as there are numbers ewery vhere I'll be happy."
Ah, we'll have to invite our other SS friends and dormhouse friends to say hello once the room's ready. But if you should meet them around, I'm sure they'll be happy to stop a moment and let you count them and their hellos.

*Door closes behind both counters and their bats, as the planning begins.
Have a good sleep everyone, and may your counting always be kind.

Hello Mupitz! Glad to see you at the dorms! And Count von Count! I thought I heard thunder.

Link: Thunder scares me.

Me: Well guess what, good buddy, you're gonna have to get used to it. Count von Count is here, and he is here to stay. And as we all know, thunder follows him wherever he goes.

Link: Do you have earplugs?

Me: Sure, here you go. Now take those blasted mint Oreos and dump them down the garbage chute. I've had to read like crazy to finish all five of the Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy series. Still can't believe we fell asleep all that time. I'm just glad Vic Romano's okay, and hopefully Cookie Monster and christy b and Pepe and Uncle Deadly didn't overdo it.

Becky: Okay, Mokey, so I was thinking bunkbeds. We could hang fabric from the top bunk and make the bottom bed cave-like for you. That will also give us some more space in the room. I have a bureau, a love seat and a little entertainment center with my tv, stereo and tivo on it. You know us Silly Creatures and our gadgets. And lots of plants, of course. What do you think?

Mokey: Hmmm, yes, yes, I think that would be lovely. Of course, Langford will need a special place.

Becky: Of course. We could have hanging plants and standing plants and a little herb garden. I have a collection of framed pressed flowers, herbs and leaves. I also have a little sound machine that plays birds chirping, babbling brooks and dripping water for relaxation that I thought may remind you of home, Mokey. Do you think anyone would mind if my guinea pigs came to stay with us?

Hi Mupitz, or should we just call you Becky? The room you described is a nice one, and I don't think anyone will mind your guinea pigs. After all, there's an assortment of other animals both real and Muppet here already, your guinea pigs won't bother anyone I hope.
Will post soon with our own room design, just gotta throw the numbers around to finish everything off.

Mokey: And I too want to thank everyone for their kindness.

Me: I'll just ask my family to send me Stat & Wally AirMail.

OK then, Mupitz it iz. That's the good thing about the dorms, you know that our mail system gets all our stuff here on time. Especially when we have Grover delivering our mail as one of his many vonderful jobs, that is, if he's still in the postal service's employ.

The Count

OK, the room layout's finalized and we're both here to give you guys the tour. First though, we had to remove the furniture and start over from scratch. As you enter the room, the first thing you'll notice is the new Halloween mask knocker with the room's number a big number 1 on the door with two peepholes in the eyeslits of the mask. After that, there's a small doormat lying at the entrance of the room. You got two walls that seem to close in on you crreating a narrow passageway. Tucked into these walls are our wardrobe closets. The Count's is on your left and mine is on your right. The Count's furniture features small gray counting cloud knobs, while mine still have the bright orange jack o'lantern knobs. Inside the closets are dressers for our folded clothes, pajamas, sweatpants, underwear and other stuff like handkerchiefs, money and perfume bottles. The closets also have a comfortable living space for both our bats, with a bucket set up beneath them for their bat-room needs.

As you continue walking inwards, you'll notice the comfortable crimson red sofa couch in the center of the room. This baby's mounted on a swivel base and it has an outstretched bat-logo backing. The sofa faces the entertainment center we have set up in the center of the backwall. Got a TV table with the monitor, cable box, DVD/VCD machine, and a second DVD/VCR machine below that. The air conditioner unit is installed beneath the TV center, and we can both reach it easily.

OK, so now we spread out to the two individual halves of the room. The left half is the Count's and the right half is mine, but we both share the room equally. The Count's bed is propped up against the corner created by the closet's outer wall. There's a bat clock hanging from the wall above the bed's headboard, and two lamplike extensions with lightbulb-topped candles. These were an invention of ours, to preserve the gothic feel and yet not create mass emergencies should the candles' flames get out of control. The bed features two gray cloudlike pillows and a sheet showing off what else? All numbers from 1 to 10 scattered about and repeating throughout the sheets. There's also a folded blanket at the foot of the bed. There's a framed portrait of Countess Dahling van Dahling, a dark gray nightcap, and a pair of reading glasses on the nightstand beside the Count's bed. As you can see, the grand organ's propped up next to the far left wall. There's also a shelf above the organ with some PVC statues of creatures favorite to the Count and me as well. They include a vulture, raven, black cat, and Cerberus among others. Then there's the cooking area next to the left side of the back wall where you'll find the furnace and cauldron, with a window leading to an outside windowbox filled by black roses. The furnace's columns are sculpted to resemble two grim-looking demons.

Now over to my side of the room. Two white fluffy pillows are the head of the bed, along with two more lightbulb-topped candles. Got black bats printed up on my own sheets and a fluffy gray blanket at the foot. Note also, on the wall behind the headboard, the poster of Catwoman from Batman Returns saying "**** Here" with the O and T from the sign's original message dimmed out. After that, there's a double-shelving unit. This houses the following: my racks of Muppet VCD's, my Muppet Universe and some Law School course books, our books on mythical and monstrous creatures used for research on our projects, and some of my action figures though not all of them. Near the end of the far right wall you'll find my Frankensteinish computer terminal, complete with monitor and spooker speakers for my JAWS screenreader program. At the far right side of the backwall, there's a door marked with a white smiling skull. This is a walk-in closet where we keep our Palisades Muppets and eventually Sesame Street collections. Then again, we also switch our books and stuff so that the figures can be out on display in the main room. Got a tripod and digital camera to photograph my collection.
Lastly, there's a grand spider chandelier hanging above the center of the room's ceiling, directly above the sofa. And of course, small white plastic numbers spread throughout the room at different locations. You can practically find your way through our room by just following the numbers. And to give it all a proper setting, the walls were washed and painted with a dreary yet lightened dark gray so that the bat wallpaper could have a notable contrast.

Hope you guys like what we've done with the place, and feel free to stop by if you have any questions about the dorms or want to watch some Muppet moments.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Forgot a few details. There are two matching crimson red armchairs, one placed in front of the furnace and another in front of the computer terminal. Gotsta have somewhere to sit down you know. We also have toothbrushes and towels of our own over in the Floor 1 Bathroom. Mine are a slender black bat-topped toothbrush and a sandy brown towel featuring a black bat emblem with my initials in white; the Count has a light gray white skull-topped toothbrush and a rich red towel with a black stripe near the bottom bearing his name and a few skulls in white as well.

Hope everyone has a great weekend here at the dorms. JFS, if you need anything, just call on us.
