Alright guys. I was thinking of going to Charlie's for lunch.

Herry: Sounds fine to me.

Cookie M: Me too.

Maurice: I haven't been there in such a long time.

Ok then. Off we go.

At Charlie's Restrant..........

Herry: I just love their alphabet soup.

Maurice: Hope Charlie doesn't forget to add all the letters.

Over on another table a short blue man was was about to sit down when Grover appeared and started to tell the man something.

Waiter Grover: Hello there sir.

Fat Blue: It's you!

Waiter Grover: Yes it is I, your furry blue waiter Grover. What can I get for you today?

Fat Blue: *looks at menu*

Waiter Grover: We do have our speical of the day sir.

Fat Blue: *puts down the menu* What is the special of the day?

Waiter Grover: The Salad torpedo.

Fat Blue: Salad torpedo? What's that?

Waiter Grover: It is a salad with lots of lettus, carrots, tomatos and other veggies in it.

Fat Blue: That sounds good. I'll take it.

Waiter Grover: Ok. Be right back with your salad. *walks back through the doors* Charlie we need a salad torpedo.

Fat Blue: Can't wait for this salad torpedo.

Waiter Grover: *opens door* Are you ready sir?

Fat Blue: Give it to me!

Waiter Grover: Ok Charlie. Shoot it off!

Fat Blue: Shoot it off? Wait wait....

A big brust of lettus, carrots, tomatos and other veggies get shot out of a torpedo hole and flug all over Fat Blue.

Waiter Grover: *runs to Fat Blue* Did you like it?

Fat Blue: *uncovers himself from a pile of lettus and other veggies* I hated it!

Waiter Grover: Very well then. That will be 2.50 sir.

Fat Blue: *faints*

Waiter Grover: Sir? Are you alright? Was it the 2.50?

The doors to Birdland are festively decorated with a few birthday streamers perched above the yawning entryway. Small snatches of instrumental barbs float through the air as the houseband tunes their tools of the performing trade. Tables and chairs have been arranged with a clear view of the stage as the gang from the dorms starts to pile into the swinging nightclub.

Hoots: Welcome cas and kittens to the Birdland Sesame Street Sing-Along.
We've got a rockin' band and plenty of water to keep your whistles whistlin'.
So let's get this joint jumpin' with some memorable melodious music!

*The band launches into a wild yet melifluous jazzy rendition of the Sesame Street theme.

Clifford: Hey hey Ry! We're home!
Camilla: Bragawk bagawk!
Me: Hey guys and gal, welcome home.
Gonzo: Thanks, did you have a good time at school Ryan?
Me: ...Um, well...Yes would be one word...
Camilla: Braw?
Me: What makes you think there's more?
Camilla: Brawk bagawk, baw.
Me: Women's intuition?!
Camilla: Brawk!
Gonzo: What is going on?!
Me: Nothing.
Camilla: Brawk!
Me: I am NOT lying!
Camilla: Brawk buck bawk!
Uncle Deadly: Ryan my fiend, you know she'll pluck it out of you eventually.
Me: ...Yeesh...I'll tell you later, I've got tests to study for.
Clifford: Oh we'll get you to tell us dude. And if you're sayin' her name in your sleep I'll know why. Heh heh.
Me: When did I say it involved a girl?
Gonzo: So it does then?
Me: ...Yes. Goodnight!! *runs*

Herry: This is some hip music. Keep it playing Hoots!

I'm loving what they've done to the place. It's nice and cool at the same time.

Maurice: I can't wait to sing along.

Cookie M: *spots some cookies* Oh my heart has stop. Lookie at all those delicious cookies! *fingers wiggling around, mouth smacking*

Maurice: Don't you dear Cookie Monster. Those are for all the guest not just you.

Cookie M: Me know. You no worry.

Hoots: OK boppers... The stage's cleared and the mike's hot... If you've got a song to sing, then step right up and let's hear you belt a tune out to the stars above.
*The wise old owl flutters off to write down all the dormies' names in order, to make sure everyone gets a turn at singing whatever song they want to perform at Birdland tonight.

Herry: Kyle you and Grover should go sing us a song.

No no no no...I can't sing at all. My parents know that. Even tho I enjoy to nah...

Grover: I will help you Kyle.

It's not that I just can't sing. I enjoy it but....

Maurice: Come on Kyle.

Everyone starts to chant "Kyle can do it!"

Ok. I'll sing a song. Come on Grover. What do you want to sing?

Grover: Will sing whatever you want to sing.

Ok. (whispers to the band what song to play) You got it? Alright. Hit it!

If anyone wants to sing along, go ahead.

Grover and Me: We're gonna do the monkey (Davy and Joey are making money noises)

Kim: Whaddaya say we get up there and give it a try?
Roomies: *variations on "I don't know" and "Do you think we can?"*
Kim: C'mon! We've done this before, haven't we?
Boober: Yeah, in the privacy of our dorm room!
Kim: Don't Fraggles break into song at the drop of a hat?
Hat: *falls from the ceiling and lands on a table* Did someone mention me?
Betty Lou: *whispering something in Tosh's ear* Tosh and I have a song!
Kim: You do? Great, go for it. Meanwhile I'll see if I can coax a melody out of Chicken Little and Chicken Little-er.
Betty Lou: Ready, Tosh?
Tosh: *nods* Ready.
I had always thought the world was full of mystery...

Betty Lou: I had seen so many people that were strange.

Both: And it sometimes seemed that each one was my enemy,

Tosh: And I said our fighting ways would never change.

Betty Lou: But I learned to meet my sister and my enemy...

Tosh: And I learned that we are none of us alone.

Both: For I found a friend whose different, and she cares for me,

Betty Lou: And I know a place we share can be our home.

Both: We are the children of tomorrow,
(Gillis joins in) Each one is different and the same...
(Boober joins in) Help us to live here with our other, our brother,
(Kim joins in) One in heart, one in hope, one in name.

Kim: (spoken) All right now, everybody! Join in if you like!

All: We are the children of tomorrow,
Each one is different and the same...
Help us to live here with our other, our brother
One in heart, one in hope, one in name.

We are the children of tomorrow,
Each one is different and the same...
Help us to live here with our other, our brother,
One in heart, one in hope, one in name.

We are the children of tomorrow,
Each one is different and the same...
Help us to live here with our other, our brother,
One in heart...
One in hope...
One in name.

Kim: *comes up to Ed as they come off the stage after the song* Hey Ed. Betty Lou wants to bring one of her pets back to the dorm with her when we head back home tomorrow, and I just wanted to clear it with you before she made up her mind. Is it okay?

Bert: Hey, Ernie, why don't you get up there and sing?
Bry: Yeah, Ernie! Go ahead!
Ernie: Actually, I did have a little something prepared with a little help from some friends and Rubber Duckie! (Runs up to the stage and calls to behind the curtain) You guys ready? (to band) Hit it!

(Music starts and 2 Honkers and a Dinger come onstage wearing cowboy hats and bandanas; Rubber Duckie squeaks, the Honkers honk their noses and the Dinger taps the bell on his head as part of the musical orchestration)

Come on everybody
To a street called Sesame
There's something very silly
That we'd like you all to see
It's the latest, it's the greatest
It's the only place to be
It's the Honker Duckie Dinger Jamboree

Take a chance and join us
And I know that you'll agree
Our show may not be fancy
But it's noisy and its free
It's got honks, it's got squeaks, it's got dings, and it's got me
It's the Honker Duckie Dinger Jamboree
The Honker Duckie Dinger Jamboree

Play it, boys!
(The Honkers and Dinger do their thing during the musical break)
How 'bout this band, huh?!

If you want to be a member of our happy family
Nothing to it, you can do it
If you listen carefully
Clap your hands, tap your toes
Snap your fingers slap your knees

At the Honker Duckie Dinger Jamboree
The Honker Duckie Dinger Jamboree

(Song ends and the club patrons applaud and whistle)

Alright! Take five, guys!
(The two Honkers both grab a Muppet Number 5 and takes it offstage)

Sadie: You two should sing a song up there!

Sara: Oh, I don't know Sadie. *blushes a little bit*

Scooter: I've got my guitar with me. Do you have your saxophone?

Sara: No, I...*gets handed her saxophone by Sadie*...do. I thought I left this back at the dorms?

Sadie: When you go to Sesame Street, you'll always sing a song. Be it good or bad. -- Plus I figured you wouldn't take it on your own, so I brought it with me.

Sara: You are quite the sly woman, Sadie. Alright. We'll sing!

*Sara and Scooter make her way up the stairs beside the small stage, and they stand close to each other as they warm up a bit.*

Sara: Hey everyone out here on Sesame Street! Figured we'd give you a nice, old style song to sing along with today! It's an oldie, but a goodie!

*Although she has her saxophone around her neck she dosn't play it often, as they start to tune up.*

Sara: You start it off Scoot.

Scooter: Alright then...

Scooter: Just an old-fashioned love song, playin' on the radio. And wrapped around the music, is the sound of someone promising; they'll never go!

You'll swear you've heard it before as it slowly rambles on and on.
No need in bringin' em back, cause they've never really gone!

Scooter & Sara: That's just an old-fashioned love song, comin' down in two-part harmony!

*belts out a small riff on her sax*

That's just an old-fashioned love song, one I'm sure they wrote for you and me!

Scooter: To weave our dreams upon, listen to each evenin' when the lights are low! To underscore our love affair, with tenderness and feeling that we've come to know!

You'll swear you've heard it before, as it slowly rambles on and on.
No need in bringin' em back, cause they've never really gone!

Scooter, Sara & Sadie: That's just an old-fashioned love song, comin' down in three part harmony!

*belts out another riff on her saxophone*

That's just an old-fashioned love song, one I'm sure they wrote for you and me!

Sara: Two, three, four...

Sadie: *playfully pulls out a kazoo, and plays on it; while Scooter and Sara continue playing the music joyfully alongside her.*

Scooter, Sara & Sadie: That's just an old-fashioned love song, comin' down in three-part harmony!

*The three of them belt out a small riff on guitar, saxophone, and kazoo*

That's just an old-fashioned love song, one I'm sure they wrote for you and me!

Skeeter: You mean babysitting charges? As read as I'll ever be. You think this room is big enough to hold us and four fraglets?

Christy: We'll either find out or get insane.

Kim: Don't worry about Betty Lou, Ed. She's going to ride back to the dorms with me in my car, as soon as we get one last loose end settled...
Betty Lou: Oh, Ed? Is it okay if I bring my turtle Leafy to the dorms with me? (to Kim) I finally decided last night.
Kim: Good. I thought you were leaning towards bringing Paws, though.
Betty Lou: Well, I know Gaffer, Wanda and Fatatita would have liked playing with her, but she's still just a kitten. That and her litterbox probably would have given Boober a conniption. But Leafy's tank doesn't take up much space. And I wouldn't have to worry about her wandering away and getting lost while I'm in class.
Kim: Good thinking there, Betty Lou.

The rauckusly painted Electric Mayhem bus departs, having settled everything with Kim and her roomies as they've decided to head back to the dorms in their own mode of transportation.

Beth: It's a one of kind c.d. my favorite radio station puts out with songs that were recorded live in their studio from various popular artists
Wanda: Oh! I know about that c.d.!
Abby: Well, why did you have to wait in line? Couldn't you go buy one right now?

Not at the moment. But you might want to check the reading room, Lisa finally got enough nerve to post an update.
UD, small gleam in his sunken eyes: Flippersteps?
Nope... Say Cheese!
UD: Ah, well. At least it's an update.

UD's voice ringing from the shadows: What's this?
Oh yeah. Sean's got an exciting version of Spider-Man/Muppets 2 running as well. Enjoy yourself my fiend.
UD: I definitely intend to!

Hey Kath... You have any favorite dishe you want for tomorrow? For that matter, see if those who'll be here have any faves they'd like please.
Gotta get some chestnuts for the stuffing though, maybe they'll have those at the supermarket.

Bye Kyle... Have a great time with your families.

Guess they won't be here to have some of these pecan chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. Or some of these birdseed ones baked for Big and Little Bird.
Sweet potatoes you say Kath? Check, they're already boiled with a pinch of brown sugar and will get a dusting of almond flour before baking in the oven. You know, have you ever tried a sweet potato/pecan pie? It's good, best of both worlds.

Uh no Prairie. Translated, they're "coconut kisses". They're sort of like cookies made of toasted sweetened shreeded coconut.

OK, see you at dinner tomorrow.

Count, going upstairs, talking to Prairie: Vell, from vhat he told me... It's a sort of jiggly coconut creme topped with just a pinch of cinnamon.

OK, the turkey needs to be cooked, that can wait until I've finished the rest of the sides. Let's see... Sweet potatoes need to be baked... Pumpkin soup with a small serving of cream and a dash of nutmeg... The stuffing, won't have the chestnuts, but it'll be just as yummy with all of the giblets and bread and almonds and onions and celery. Green beans, those can be cooked on the stove.
Uncle Deadly, please go and set the table upstairs. Count, you go and get the mashed potatoes washed and peeled and mashed.

Boober: Oh no! Both Nora and Beth have a birthday today, and we didn't get them anything!
Kim: At ease, Boober. We'll go shopping this afternoon; I've got to get a gift for the library's Christmas party so we'll pick up something for Nora and Beth too.
Gillis: Who did you get for your workplace's Christmas drawing?
Kim: My boss.
Tosh: Whoa. You're gonna have to be extra careful with that one.
Kim: I'm thinking of getting her a tea cozy or something like that. And there was that nice pin I saw at Sinissippi yesterday.
Gillis: Tea does seem to be the popular beverage at your library, doesn't it?
Kim: Yeah, it does. But give me a good ol' Dr. Pepper any day.

UD, slinking away after leaving a fanfic reading list with Bryan's roomies and arranging the books back in place so he can find them easier when he wishes to peruse their pages: Actually... Nora's birthday was yesterday. Erin, who'll be graciously catering the event tonight, talked to Red and they agreed on a double birthday party for their friends.
Now I bid you a scare the well.

Bert: (to UD after recieving the reading list) Thanks, Uncle Deadly. I have the list of stories for us to read!
Bry: Great.
Big Bird: What's wrong, Bryan?
Bry: Well, I'm afraid I'm going to have to miss another birthday celebration, and it's Beth's too which makes me especially sad. I've already kinda made plans today to go with my family to the apple farm for an event. You guys go along though and give her my regards. I'll figure out something to do for her tomorrow.

MN: I'm back, is anyone else here?
Storyteller: I'm here, Nora's still not back.
MN: I heard traffic was kind of nutsy today, so she might be a tad delayed.
Storyteller: How was New York?
MN: Crowded, but civilized and genial, as usual. On Black Friday, New York is a lot saner than any given shopping center in the suburbs.
Storyteller: I'll never understand it. It's supposed to be all about peace on earth and goodwill toward silly creatures, and you've got them up early and mauling each other over silly things.
MN: You and me both. I'll be amazed if the crime rate didn't go up ten points on that day. Now then...I prepared the punch, it's cooling in the fridge...I've got to get going on the cake and some quick breads and things.
Storyteller: I've got a few radish and rockweed quiches; those will go quickly.
MN: Good, good. And we brought home some really good cheeses to make a cheese tray from, and we've got lots of fruits and vegetables for fruit and vegetable trays. Got to have something healthy, don't you know.
Storyteller: I hear Beth likes mint mocha; think we can make some of that?
MN: Oh, of course...and I'll have to talk to Red about opening up the pool area...Red, my friend, keeper of the recreational dunking spot, would you unlock it later on tonight?

MN: Fruit and veg trays, check. Cheese and bread trays, check. Two goodly-sized cookies and cream cakes, check. Punch, check. Gelato and ice cream of assorted flavors, check. Extra-large version of Twister, check. One pin-the-tail on-the-World's Oldest Fraggle game(Storyteller's idea, don't ya know), check. One empty bottle for playing Spin the Bottle - what? Hey, who put that on here?!
Storyteller: Oh, don't be such a goose. It'll add a new level of absurdity. And I'll bet Sara would love it if Richard or Scooter...
MN: I don't care, I specifically said no kissing games. Those could get awfully risky and there's probably some dorm rule against them anyways. Now then...James Bond poster for Nora, check.
Storyteller: Squeaky Caverns hand cream for Nora, check.
MN: One bright red sweater for Beth, check.
Storyteller: One songbook of Fraggle ballads for Beth, check. (pause) Shhh...I hear someone coming!
(Nora walks in)
MN: Hide the presents! (presents quickly stashed beneath the table) Well, it's about time you showed yourself, little miss blue birthday girl.
Nora: Traffic was murder. So much that the police are trying to figure out how to book that one stretch of interstate through Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Storyteller: Oooh, good one. But how was the family? Did your brother behave himself?
Nora: Well, he tried to be all snooty at first, but...(starts to giggle)
MN: Come on, out with it!
Nora: Cait and Stuart rigged up some kind of paint bomb in his textbooks!
MN: Clearly, Don and Dave have been giving them lessons. And then?
Nora: Okay, he knew that he had to lighten up after that, if he valued his life. (looks around) Wow, this is some huge party.
Storyteller: Well, as you know, it's Beth's birthday as well, so it's going to be a double celebration. It'll start as soon as people start to wander in.

We got Beth a lovely music box with a little fairy statuette gracing the outer lid...
And we also got Nora a complete collection of a mystery series I've enjoyed greatly, Sue Graffton's Alphabet Murder Mysteries starring Private Eye Kimsy Milholne. Only eightteen books so far, got up to R myself, there might be one more released since last year though.

Haven't seen that in a long time, and I don't think I've seen it in its entirety.
But there's also A Garfield Christmas. Now that I've seen and have the book as well.

Good times, good memories. Now if only...
*Small sigh.

Yo Ed. If you want I have the Garfield Christmas on DVD if you ever want to barrow it. Just letting you know. Talk to you later. Come on guys. I feel like singing a song. Hit it!

*music starts*

Anything Monster: *pops out of the dirty hamper, makes a weird nosie*

Me: This song is going out to
The whole wide world out there *pulls up the window*
And it's called Louie, Louie

Anything Monster: *makes the noise again*

Me: I was talking with my mom
About music one day
She told me about this song
Called....

Anything Monster: Louie, Louie

Me: That when she was my age
Caused a big booty rumble
They thought it was filthy
Cause the words were mumbled
Like the singer was trying
To cover up the lyrics
Thank you for using Top40db.com.
They pulled it off of the air
Caused the people with hysterics

Anything Monster: Louie, Louie, oh, no
Down and down, oh, no
I said Louie Louie, oh, yeah
Down and down, yeah, yeah, yeah

Me: Now that my mama's story
Was all we talked about
It was about getting busy
And nobody had no doubt
It was unprecedented
What they said on that platter
That nobody knew the words
So it really didn't really
Seem to matter
I told her, hey, mom
I'd like to check out that song
She turned on a oldies station
It came on before long

Anything Monster: Louie, Louie, oh, yeah
Down and down, yeah, yeah, yeah
Louie Louie (Grover: say what) oh, yeah
Down and down, oh, yeah

Me: Break it down!

Anything Monster: Hey, hey, hey....*makeing the same nosies*

Me: Come on!

Anything Monster: Hey, hey, hey....*makeing the same nosies*

Grover: *playing an electric guitar*

Herry: Come on, c-c-come on

Anything Monster: *mumbles some words*

Me: My mother was right
The words were in an awful state
But I knew there was one dude
Who made a good track great
So I got the great Herry Monster
And asked him can you hear
What they're saying on the record
He said, yo, yo, it's clear

Herry: Can you hear it, Kool Rock
They are the deffest crew
They are rapping just the way
I always wanted to

Me: So he started rapping
And he did know every word
I was all flabbergasted
For this is what I heard

Anything Monster: Louie, Louie (Grover: say what) oh, no
Down and a round, yeah, yeah, yeah
Louie Louie (Me: say what) oh, no
Down and a round, oh, no

Grover: *playing some more of his electric guitar*

Anything Monster, Me, Grover and Herry: Louie, Louie, oh, yeah
I said Louie, Louie, oh, no
(Come on, come on)
Down and a round, oh, no

Anything Monster: Louie, Louie, Louie, Louie
Louie, Louie.....

Hello and greetings from the MC Dorms.

Today, November 29, is the birthday of The Jim Henson Farmer (better known as Jimmy). Currently, he's rooming here with Layla in Room #18. Her and her co-UG conspirator haven't been here in a while... But I think she and her roommate would be touched if in the event you guys decided to get some presents for the Henson hillbilly, you leave them at their doorstep.

That is all, have a good day.

Red: How about a flannel shirt
Wanda: How about both?
Abby: I'll make a card!
*they get together overalls, a flannel shirt and a card for Jimmy and leave them at room 18 with birthday wishes*
Beth: There, that's done
Red: I gotta get to class
Abby: Me too
Wanda: Me three
Beth: I just have work so I can't fourth it. Oh well.

<Leyla is sitting on the floor in front of their sofa, fast asleep with her head propped up on the coffee table. Wanda is doing Hilda's hair up in an elaborate up do that looks very odd on her. Robot Kermit is having a staring contest with a Kermit portrait drawn by Tabi.>

Jimmy: <bolting into Room 18, dressed in his new duds, waving a card around> YEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

<What follows is a complete non-reaction>

Wanda: <distracted> Oh. Jimmy's back.
Hilda: Is he?
Wanda: <shrug> I guess.

Leyla: <snuggles deeper into her arms>

Jimmy: <looks crestfallen> Well, ain't ya gonna wish me a happy birthday?

<If there were crickets in the room, they would now be chirping, and Robot Kermit would be hunting for them>

Jimmy: <gamely> Well, just look at these great overalls! And my new flannel shirt! Ah'm ready for a night on the town! Say where'd yer little sister go? Ah've been meaning to stake ma claim on her.

Robot Kermit: <still engaged in the staring contest> Leyla has a little sister?

Hilda: No, but Jimmy has a thing about little sisters apparently, and he's decided Toga is her little sister. Haven't you heard his signature tune?

Robot Kermit: Nope. I spent a lot of time in a cardboard box. Cozy.

Wanda: Jimmy, Lisa doesnt exist on Wednesdays. And I'm quite sure she's relieved by that... or, she would be, if she knew it was Jimmy's birthday.

Jimmy: <relived> Finally! One a you gals realized that today's my special day!

Hilda: Wednesday?

Jimmy: No! Ma birthday!

Hilda: Oh. Neat.

Wanda: <with a bit of pity> How old are you anyway, Jimmy?

Jimmy: Well, ah'm um... ah'm...hmm.. well, I'v never been too good at figurin', but today's the day!

<more distinctive lack of enthusiasm>

Jimmy: <really getting upset now> And... and... not that any of you even care none! Ah mean, here it is, ma birthday, which I only have once a year, and you aren't saying happy birthday, and that one <he points angrily at Leyla> won't even wake up!

Wanda: <another calm shrug> Leyla's very tired. She's working very hard on the school music concert you know...she's got barely any time for ushy gushy at all! Actually, I can't remember the last time I saw her awake.

Hilda: Oh, she went and visited with Prawnie yesterday, the big world traveller that he is, and welcomed him home, just in time for a chemistry project.

Robot Kermit: Yeah, poor guy's sick now, I hear. Is it the flu, do you think?

Hilda: No, no, he's just got a frog in his throat. I spent the afternoon nursemaiding him... <she sighs happily>

Robot Kermit: <breaking off the staring contest in alarm> He's got a frog in his throat?! Well... er... he wouldn't do that to a ROBOT frog, would he?

Hilda: Oh, it's just an expression. And everyone finds you hard to swallow, anyway.

Robot Kermit: Oh, good. Now, where was I... <resumes staring>

Jimmy: Hmm... well... this is a quiet sorta birthday ah suppose. Maybe I'll just go lock ma self in ma room and mope.

<No one says anything, and he moves towards his room, passing in front of Leyla, who suddenly wakes up and grabs him>

Leyla: SURPRISE!!!!

Jimmy: Ah!! Get her off me! <The others are suddenly surrounding him and cheering. Hilda ducks into the kitchen and returns with a cake>

Leyla: Happy birthday, Jimmy!! Oh, you're SO surprised!! How could we forget about you, silly? <she hugs him tightly>

Jimmy: Well, ah, ah, ah don't know what ta say!!

Leyla: Then just enjoy yourself! Look! I dug up my daddy's old guitar and fixed it up for you! Why don't you play us a tune?

Jimmy: <beaming> Ah, good idea! Since Robot Kermit hasn't heard ma favorite song in the whole world, why don't you sit a spell and let me introduce ya!

Put another log on the fire!
Cook me up some bacon and some beans.
And go out to the car and change the tire,
wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.

The girls dance around him, rolling their eyes occasionally. Robot Kermit nods thoughtfully, taking it all in until Leyla gives him a worried glance.

Leyla: Gee, I hope this doesn't come back to bite me.

Jimmy: <singing>
Come on, baby, you can
fill my pipe and then go fetch my slippers,
and boil me up another pot of tea,
Then put another log on the fire, baby,
and come and tell me why you`re leaving me.

Oh, don`t I let you wash the car on Sunday,
don`t I warn you when you`re getting fat.
Ain`t I gonna take you fishing with me some day,
well, a man can`t love a woman more than that.
Ain`t I always nice to your kid sister,
don`t I take her driving every night.
So sit here at my feet,
`cause I like you when you`re sweet,
and you know it ain`t feminine to fight. So...

Put another log on the fire,
cook me up some bacon and some beans.
And go out to the car and change the tire,
wash my socks and sew my old blue jeans.
Come on, baby, you can
fill my pipe and then go fetch my slippers,
and boil me up another pot of tea,
Then put another log on the fire, babe,
and come and tell me why you`re leaving me.

Robot Kermit: Hmm... he makes an interesting point.

Hilda: We're doomed, aren't we?
Wanda: Yep.
Leyla: <buries head in hands>

(Ernie bursts through the front door sporting a straw hat, blue overalls, a red hankerchief around the neck, and carrying a big basket full of vegetables)
Ernie: Hoo hoo! I'm home!
Bert: Ernie, welcome back! I missed you!
Ernie: Aww thanks, Bert.
Bry: Hi, Ernie!
Big Bird: Ernie, where've you been?
Telly: Yeah!
Ernie: Didn't you hear?
Bry: You didn't tell them, Bert?
Bert: I thought you would.
Bry: I guess I've been so busy lately, I'd forgotten.
Ernie: Oh well, no matter...
Big Bird: Look at all those yummy vegetables! So where did you go, Ernie?
Telly: Yeah, and why are you dressed like that?
Ernie: Oh! Well, let me tell ya!

(Ernie sings while various Muppet Vegies pop out of the basket to join him)

I went to the farm to see how things grow
And I learned some things you'd like to know.
Plants can grow high
Plants can grow low
Some grow above the ground
Some grow below

For instance a tomato doesn't grow like a potato

Tomato: Tomatoes push and shove to get up above

Ernie: Meanwhile a potato doesn't grow like a tomato

Potato: Potatoes never show, we stay down below

Ernie/Vegies: Plants can grow high
Plants can grow low
Some grow above the ground
Some grow below

Ernie: Now if you want a lettuce

Lettuce: I'd tell you where to get us
We always can be found right above the ground

Ernie: Look high for a zucchini 'cause they're never very teeny

Beet: But if you want a beet, look under your feet

Vegies: Plants can grow high
Plants can grow low
Some grow above the ground
Some grow below

Ernie: Maybe next time you'll see something you'll know

Tomato etc: If it grew above the ground

Potato etc: Or it grows below!
(song ends)

Ernie: Khekhekhe!
Telly: Cool! I didn't know that!
Big Bird: Learn something new everyday.
Telly: That's for sure!
Ernie: Well, I can't stay. I gotta run these singing vegetables over to Farmer Jim. Bye bye!
Bry: Hurry back!

*Bats leave a birthday card attached to a couple of packages at Room #18's doorstep. One of the two packages is square and flat, as it contains some Mississippi Mud smoking powder for Jimmy's pipe. The second package is somewhat rounded as a piebox should be, for it contains a bacon and beans countrified flaky pot pie.

Hope he enjoys his birthday and his presents.

Sorry Ed. Didn't know I couldn't sing that song. Sorry again. *goes on into the room and watching some TV*

Maurice: Hey Kyle. What's up?

Nothing.

Maurice: Nothing?

Yep. There's nothing going tonight. Just same thing every night. Come home. Cook or order dinner. Wash or throw out trash. Watch TV and then go to bed.

Maurice: So?

I'm just saying. It's the same thing over and over and over and over....

Maurice: Snap out of it! *snaps his furry fingers*

Sorry. Well I'm heading on to bed. I do get paid tomorrow. Maybe you and the guys can help me pick out the presents for my family.

Maurice: Sounds like a plan. *thumbs up*

Good Night Maurice.

Maurice: Good night. Now for some cartoon zany fun. *switches over to boomerang* Love that stone age family.

Oh, hey Kyle.... No, it's not that you "can't" or "couldn't" sing that song... In fact, it was interesting. Just pointing out that the song "Louie, Louie" as recorded by The Kingsmen has actual lyrics. They may be a bit "garbled" as you well know, but there are actual lyrics to the song.

Just thought I'd share that bit of information since you were singing a different version. But no worries, it's all fright buddy.

Hmmm... Since Bo and Christy seem to have missed the message... Your guests can stay here at the dorms until whatever point in the month of December you each decide. If you want them here until Christmas fine. If Bo wants Bear to be part of his crew, he can so long as he lets me know of the decision in a timely fashion with his new roomie's B-Day date as well.

Oh, and I plan to send you guys some exciting news very soon. If not this weekend, then look for it by next Thursday.

Bo: Apparently we leave...I must have missed that message...

The Count
11-30-2006, 07:56 AM
*Head slap... You missed the note cause it was posted on/before T-Day. What I meant is that unless you plan on making Bear a permanent member of your roommate crew, he can stay until whatever point in the month of December you wish. If you want him to stay until Christmas, he can... But he should probably say his good-byes after then.
Just have a good day Bo.

There are garlands, tinsel and lights on every available space, and an enormous Christmas tree stands just to the side back of the living area in the middle of the room. Four stockings adorn the mantel--Piggy's is an actually silk stocking--and the room smells like gingerbread and peppermint. There is mistletoe EVERYWHERE.)
Piggy: I just adore Christmas.
Catherine: Obviously. I've been afraid to sit still because you'd probably try to drape me with something.
Piggy: Ha, ha. I think the room looks lovely.
Catherine: It does, Piggy. It looks wonderful. Won't the boys be surprised when they come home to find the room redone?
Piggy: Yes--and they will have me and vous to thank for it.
Catherine: Oh--I just did the baking.
Piggy: (generously) Baking's important. Someone has to do it.
Catherine: Don't you mean, someone else?
Piggy: (snottily) Ha ha. Vous are so witty tonight.
Catherine: (finally succumbing and helping decorate the tree) So, what are you getting Kermit for Christmas.
Piggy: (thoughtfully) Well, I think home-made gifts are the best, don't you?
Catherine: (surprised) Um, yeah. I think home-made gifts show a lot of love and care. What are you making Kermit?
Piggy: (It is her turn to be surprised) Oh, Moi is not making something for Kermit. I am hiring someone else to make something for Kermit for Christmas.
Catherine: (puzzled) But Piggy--
(The door opens the Kermit and Fozzie enter. Since they left this morning for classes, the room has been transformed.)
Kermit: Wow!
Fozzie: Double wow! Oh look! I see my stocking! Do you think Santa put anything in it yet? (Runs to look)
Kermit: Um, probably not yet, Fozzie. Put I'm sure he won't forget you. (smiling at Catherine and Piggy) Wow--you ladies did some serious decorating today.
Catherine: (pointing at Piggy) Thank your lovely room-mate. I just did the baking.
Kermit: I think I will. (He walks up to Piggy and kisses her on the cheek. She almost loses her footing on the step-ladder.) Thanks, Piggy--the place looks great. And is that gingerbread I smell?
Catherine: Little gingerfrogs and bears and pigs.
Fozzie: Oh--I love gingerbears!
Kermit: (smiling) What about ginger people?
Catherine: (with a quick look at Piggy) We, um, ran out of dough. (She passes the heaping plate of gingerfolk.) There's hot chocolate on the stove.
Piggy: (looking very wistful) Do--do you have anything you have to do tonight, Kermie?
Kermit: Yes, I sure do.
Piggy: (looks a little like she might cry) Oh. Oh, I thought we might--
Kermit: I have to help decorate the tree. This side over here doesn't have any ornaments. (He looks up at Piggy and smiles. She smiles back. Looking up makes Kermit aware of all the mistletoe. For a moment, he frowns.) Piggy--something's wrong.
Piggy: (evasively) Um, what do you mean, Kermie dear?
Kermit: (turning and pulling Piggy off the ladder and into his arms. Piggy is too astonished to respond.) Yeah--won't don't have near enough mistletoe in this room. (He proceeds to make use of the mistletoe they have.)
Catherine: (taking Fozzie firmly by the hand) C'mon, Fozzie. Let's get some mugs of hot chocolate from the kitchen. I think they've got things under control in here.
Fozzie: Can I did my gingerbear in my hot chocolate?
Catherine: Absolutely.

So I'll just add Piggy' gifting Kermit to the list of Secret Santas already jotted down. Red and the Chef seem to be the most popular though, they've already been taken for future reference. Hope the rest of the gang gets their PM's and submit their choices soon.

Ahem Peter... The whole point of Secret Santa is that noone else knows who it is you're giving a gift to. If you could please edit your post removing the choices you've made, that'd be appreciated.

Additionally, you and Baby Bear need to choose someone else, as those residents of the dorms have already been taken. Please PM me your choices instead of posting them here.
Thank you for understanding. Have a good night.

<Leyla bolts into Room 18 dragging her cello behind her>

Leyla: Oy, what a day!

Hilda: How was the concert?

Leyla: Oh, fine, fine! We played better than I thought we would, and I'm way too tired to have been nervous, so that's all to the good... but...

Hilda: But?

Leyla: <shifty eyes> Have you noticed that there seems to be odd things going on around here? Messages flying back and forth, plans being made... and I have NO idea what's going on!

Hilda: Neither do I. It's better that way.

Wanda: Yeah, you're never happy once you find out these sorts of weird things. Like that time I asked Gonzo what he was doing hanging upside down in my closet... I didn't want to know, as it turned out.

Leyla: So... you're saying I shouldn't try to figure out what everyone's talking about?

Hilda: Absolutely. Especially if it involves Gonzo in any way.

Wanda: <nods firmly> Look, Ru updated, and so did Lisa, go read!

Leyla: But I'm too tired to review right now...

Wanda: Read anyway, review later. They''ll understand.

Leyla: Alright.

Me: *blink* How did you know?
Clifford: You're wearing a raincoat and a sign around your neck that says "My name is NOT Ryan! And I have NOT broken any promises about updating a story!"

LMK when it goes up and I'll bring the fresh muffins I got down at the bakery a little earlier today.

Oh, and if you guys are having trouble finding Secret Santas for yourselves and/or your roomies from the field of still available residents... Well, you can always have your roomies exchange amongst themselves, though I'm very much liking the variety of who's giving to whom so far. Well... It's a good thing I have the list of who's giving gifts to whom. Just do your Christmas shopping, and attach the tags to who the present's addressed. The gifts will be stashed together and placed under the Christmas tree in the Floor 2 common room. We'll gather together and the presents will be handed out in order, one by one from you to your Secret Santa exchangee.

Either that or we can come to some agreement later. See you guys, got some threads and stories to read up on.

Wanda:... often. I must trick Wayne into saying something she won't like.

Leyla: <strained> Dont... you dare... Wanda... I have ...enough trouble on my hands as it is. Miss Piggy is our friend, and our neighbour, and an all around wonderful-

Wanda: <slyly> But you aren't a fangirl, of course.

Leyla: <looking away from Robot Kermit to frown at her briefly> I'm glad we have that straight. Now, just leave poor Piggy alone. Bad enough she's got to deal with this one. <Leyla thumps Robot Kermit gently on the head>

RK: Mmph!

Leyla: Well, it's you're own fault there's a pomegranate shoved down your throat. Imagine! Tricking Piggy into believing you're HER Kermit with a little mistletoe! You're lucky she didn't cut you in half.

Jimmy: <hushed> How was it?

RK: <with as much smugness as a robotic frog can utter with a pomegranate shoved into his mouth> Mmmmph!!

Jimmy: <awed> Really?

Leyla: Jimmy, I swear I'll get you into that tux again if you don't-

Jimmy: <meekly> I'll be good. Why don't I go do the dishes?

Leyla: <mollified> Well, that would be lovely.

Jimmy: Great! Hilda, why don't you go do the dishes?

Hilda: <rolls eyes>

<Leyla continues pulling at the fruit until it comes free, sending her flying on to her back>

Robot Kermit: Well, I don't see why she was so upset with me. One little kiss-

Leyla: Kermit, where were your hands?

Kermit: I know, I know. I just...I just don't know what to say.
Catherine: (bewildered) Tell me again how Robot Kermit hooked up with Fozzie.
Kermit: (groans) Sheesh! Well, apparently Robot Kermit has been planning this for weeks. He shanghai'd me when Fozzie was in the little bear's room and locked me in the closet in Layla's room.
Catherine: (sympathetically) And nobody in Layla's room believed you when they heard you pounding on the door.
Kermit: Yep. Apparently, it's a pretty common thing to have to keep him locked away.
Catherine: (just a little sarcastically) Well, of course. Can't have him going around kissing your girl!
Kermit: Darn right! I mean--I mean.... (Gives Catherine a mean look.) Whose side are you on, anyway?
Catherine: (briskly) I'm not on anyone's side. I'm just trying to live in peace in my own room.
Kermit: But--but it's not my fault that Piggy got the wrong idea.
Catherine: (quietly) No, it's not your fault. But Kermit--it's not her fault either. This has been hard on her, too. She thought that something nice had happened between you. Heck--I thought you two had finally stopped messing around and, you know, started messing around for real. (hastily) Dating, I mean, in a, you know, committed sort of way.
(Kermit looks distraught and a little panicked.)
Kermit: Well, I just...I mean, I just wasn't thinking about...and then I walked into my own room--my own dorm room, mind you!--and find my girl kissing another frog. What was I supposed to do?
Catherine: (carefully) Well, I don't blame you for being upset. But I think accusing Piggy of two-timing you was a little harsh.
Kermit: (miserable, but a little defiant) But--but did you see the way she was kissing that guy?
Catherine: Kermit--she thought that guy was you! I've have thought that would make you feel better.
Kermit: Yeah, but I, and then she, and then everybody started yelling.
Catherine: (wincing) Yes. I remember that part. The entire wing of the dorm remembers that part.
Kermit: Oh, geez. I'm never gonna--I don't know what to do. (Looks at clock on the wall.) Hey--isn't the library closed?
Catherine: (not looking at Kermit) Why yes, I believe it is.
Kermit: Then where is--oh, sheesh. You don't think she left, do you? Do you think she left?
Catherine: I think she was upset. I suggested a little retail therapy, but....
Kermit: (groaning) Oh no. What a mess this is. (Looks appealing at Catherine) How can I--do you know how to get ahold of her?
Catherine: Cell phone. Duh.
Kermit: (mumbling) She's apparently blocking my calls.
Catherine: (a little surprised) Oh. Then she's even more upset that I thought. Maybe you should just give it some time--let her be for a bit.
Kermit: (pitifully) But--but we were going to spend Christmas together.
Catherine: Christmas is a long way off. Wait and see, okay? I bet she'll come around.
(Kermit starts to slump off, but Catherine asks him a question that makes him stop in his tracks.)
Catherine: What do you think would have happened if you hadn't come in when you did?
Kermit: Well, you saw what Piggy did to him while I was there. I guess she--I guess she would have darn near dismantled him.
Catherine: Why would she do that? All he did was kiss her--
Kermit: (hotly) That's not all! He tricked her! He pretended to be me so she would...oh. (He is quiet for a moment.) I guess she's embarrassed, and hurt because she thought I was...and then I yelled at her.
Catherine: Yep. She was pretty mortified. I don't think Robot Kermit is ever going to be the same.
Kermit: (muttering) Good! Is he--has, um, Layla been able to get him working again?
Catherine: Right as rain, from what I hear. And completely unrepentant.
Kermit: Unrepentant! Why I ought to--
Catherine: Sleep on it. Sleep on all of it, okay? Things may seem brighter in the morning. (yawns) I'm positively dead. I'm going to toddle off. There's leftovers in the fridge if you're hungry, and eggnog. (Impulsively, she brushes a kiss across Kermit's head as she passes.) Don't worry, Kermit. Just give her a little time to recover. It'll be okay.
Kermit: (glumly) If you say so.
(Catherine goes on to bed, but Kermit sits in the recliner for a long time after she has gone.)

Sure was nice of Sweetums and the other Muppet monsters to bring in the Christmas trees for the common rooms.
Count: Yes, and I can count all the ornaments!
Yep, got the trusty box of Muppet ornaments from that year you spent the holidays at Miss Piggy's cozy chalet.
(*Reference, Cath, if you're curious PM and I'll explain).

Think I'll see if Lisa's up and posting some fanfic goodness. Could use some around these parts.

Bry: Well, guys, sorry to eat and run, but I have a rehearsal to get to and it takes 30 minutes to drive there. Bye! (exits)
Roomies: Bye! See ya later!
Ernie: Now that he's gone, we should talk about what we're doing for Bryan's birthday later this week.
Bert: Oh, you're right, Ernie.
Big Bird: What are we gonna do?
Telly: Let's brainstorm!
(As if on cue, a big crash of thunder and lightning)
Bert: Either the Count's counting the ornaments again or that's just coincidence.

Nope... Twas just coincidence buys. Actually, we were adding entries to the list thanks to all the wonderful people's work at Muppet Wiki. Bit tired though, didn't even finish. And there's soo much left to do to get it just perfect before posting the next version. Oh well, that can keep till my B-Day after I've finished with exams and stuff.
Count: Ah, I see our fanfic nagging's done for the night.
Yup, unless someone actually posts an update or two or three...
Count: Yes... Did you talk to Catherine?
Did, she was just what I needed... Someone to listen to my randomness. Bit more confident, though we'll see how long that lasts.
Count, placing hand on shoulder: I know the feeling. So really, it's OK vith me if you can't decide vhat to do regarding the castle creatures.
Thanks buddy, that means a lot.

*Both leave to go get some dinner before watching a few TV shows.

Bry: Boy, things have been kinda slow and quiet around the Dorms lately.
Telly: That's cuz you haven't been around much.
Big Bird: Yeah, it's just not the same without you!
Bry: Aww thanks. Yeah, it's been a busy couple of weeks. Mainly because of this show I'm rehearsing for.
Big Bird: Oh yeah! How was rehearsal?
Bry: It was fine. By the way, I think I need to talk to you all about something.
Ernie: What is it?
Bry: Well, you all know I'm in this show, right?
Telly: Yeah...
Bert: Sure we do.
Big Bird: Yeah, and we can't wait to see it! Right, guys?
Ernie: Oh yeah!
Telly: I'm excited!
Bert: It'll be great! Eh-eh-eh!
Bry: Well, I didn't mention that it's a national tour.
Telly: What does that mean?
Bry: It means that I'll be travelling around the country performing the show.
Big Bird: Really? When do we leave?! I gotta get packing!
Bry: Slow down, Big Bird. I don't know if you guys will be able to come.
Big Bird: We won't.
Bry: I'm afraid not.
Telly: Then what's going to happen to us?
Bry: We'll figure it out. It would only be for a couple months and I'm sure you'll be looked after alright by some of our friends here at the Dorms.
Big Bird: But who's gonna tuck me in at night and make me my birdseed milkshakes for lunch?
Bry: Kyle knows the recipe, Big Bird. Remember? He's made your milkshakes dozens of times, and you will all be taken care of.
Bert: We're sure gonna miss you. Aren't we, Ernie?
Ernie: You got that right, Bert.
Bry: (sigh) Yeah...I'm really gonna miss you all too, but I'm not really leaving until March, so we don't have to worry about it too much til then. Let's just have a good time together now and enjoy our Christmas!
Telly: Yeah!
Bert: Hey, speaking of which, and in honor of the Letter of the Day --the letter F-- I've made some figgy fizz punch! Who wants some?!
Bry: Sounds refreshing! Thanks, Bert!
Bert: You're welcome, and might I add that the Muppet Dorms were brought to you today by the letter F and the number 5!
(all take their glasses and sit in front of the TV for a movie)
