Count: Mmm, it vas so much fun to count all the 19 tricks Big Bird performed.
Yep... And you should've seen his face when he got the cabbage cookies. Was good to spend some time with our friends here.

Telly: Well... Bryan said he wouldn't be back till late...
Rosita: So would you stay with us until he gets home?
Sure... After all, he's probably jetting back from Cali at a late hour. But you guys need some sleep too, and it'd be best if you get back to our room for that. Bryan will come get you when he returns.

*Leaves four little white boxes on Room #38's doorstep: one for Kate, Gobo, Wembley, and Lou each. Boxes contain MC SM Kermit badges with each member's name in silver lettering.
Rully glad Kate's part of the SM crowd now. Better get back downstairs and keep an eye on Bry's roomies, along with Peter's who he's looking after while that guy's gone on his camping trip. Oh hey Little Bird.
Little Bird: Um, can I stay with you guys until Bryan gets back too?
Sure, you can stay in the little nest Hoots usually uses. It's fright outside our window. Come on, we'll take you there. Heh, sure will be crowded down there, hope Bryan gets back soon.

PETER: Saturday Night, I got to White Lake State Park in Tamworth, and we took a walk around the beach there, Sunday It rained and we did some crafts, Monday, we went to Water Country and my favorite was the wave pool and i went there 11 TIMES!!!!

Sorry for the racket guys... The noise in the background is Biff and Sully working on a few remodelations around the building's outsides...
And you should be thinking of making temporary living arrangements in the apartments around town or with your friends and family... Next Monday's the big move, will make an announcement on that day.

Sara: We can go stay with my parents for awhile. They won't mind. So we're all okay?

The dorms will be open on Monday, but will be closing later that day's afternoon/evening. So she'll definitely get to see her roomie and they'll have time to pack up then. Good to be back to the dorms. Catherine, I already said I'd be there, just leaf back through my replies/posts in your vonderful fanfiction... Though we kind of call them approximations of how things in the Muppet world take place. Sort of how Kermit told Robin the Muppet Movie was approximately how the Muppets all got together.
That reminds me... Ryan, you gonna nag Lisa to post some more Flippersteps? Or do I have to do it? At any rate, gonna get some grub.

Boy... Sure was nice to get an alert about some new art up at Vic Romano's section of the Hensonville Museum of Art.
Hope the others get a chance to swing by and check it out...
Hoots: (after reading bulletin board) Man, so many options for next week. I could either fly off to Vegas or stick around the dorms here and jam on the roof with Ryan, Lisa and those guys...then again, there's also a lot to do over at Birdland on Sesame Street with our big music festival coming up next month. Of course, who says I gotta pick just one? I can do it all! Well, I suppose I have a few more days to decide. Looks like this whole house is buzzin with folks packing up and getting ready for the big shake up. Can't wait for the party. Well...goodnight dorms! (plays on his sax)

You can send your submissions via PM or E-mail if the PM box gets filled up.
2 The form rules will be posted on either Wednesday 8/30/2006 or Thursday 8/31/2006.
You may send in your applications as soon as they're ready, since the standard dorms policy when it comes to picking roomies is "First come, First serve... Unless the one you want's already been taken."

Hello and greetings from your friendly MC Dorms management team.
The dorms thanks everybody who's come here and registered as residents, or just stopped by to tour or visit the grounds. Our second anniversary is quickly approaching, and there'll be some new changes in store. To that end, we request all tennants currently registered as part of the MC Dorms' register to clean out their rooms and please vacate the premises. The dorms will be closed during this brief period for its annual cleaning and renovations, and we wouldn't want anybody to lose any of their personal belongings. You might wish to secure other temporary living arrangements around the town of Hensonville during this time. Additionally, the current copy of the register will be wiped clean and a new application process will be instituted shortly. We the management team thank you for your cooperation and hope you have a very good day.

Kim: And I've got all of my things, and our furniture and other stuff like that has already been moved to a storage locker in Hensonville. Well, guess this is it guys. Let's head out.

Gonzo: Well, I needed a sled to slide down the roof on, and Rowlf said the piano wasn't stable enough, and heaven forbid I use Lisa's stuff, so I used yours. Hope that's okay.

*Once rooftop encampment's downstairs... OK, we got cooked rice, mushrooms with garlic, turkey burger cut into chunky cubes... And a few healthy foods from my island home cuisine. There's avocado slices, amarillos which are kind of like sweet slightly fried plantains, and a true delicacy known as breadfruit both boiled and made into tostones.
Tostones are made from tubers, chiefly out of plantains, sliced and squashed into discs, seasoned with a bit of salt and some garlic, then dropped into the frier for a final touch.
Dig in guys.

Hello and greetings from the MC Dorms management team. Hope you've been awaiting the reopening of the dorms.
Well, our facilities are all cleaned up, no nasty graffiti from vandals anywhere, the rooms have been refurbished and our doors stand ready to admit all who wish to become residents here at this jolly establishment.
However, here are the new rules and application for perspective newcomers wishing to join the residency at the MC Dorms.
1 Application Information.
Please fill out the following form.
First Name: .
User Name: .
Muppet Roommate(s): .
Room Number: .
Birthday: (Please provide the birthdate for each member in your party, if you happen to know it or find it within the proper Muppet research sources).
E-Mail: Optional, if you wish to maintain updated on current events.
2 Roommates.
The one rule we insist upon here at the MC Dorms when choosing a roommate...
You can have any Muppet character you want, save obvious ineligible choices like baby Muppets, so long that character or characters haven't been taken by anyone else.
Additionally, to save on headaches...
a. Number of Roommates.
From now on, the limit of roommates one person can have is a total of five (5) roommates. Just because you can have five roomies doesn't necessarily mean that you have to have five roomies. You can have just two or three or four. It's up to you guys when filling out the forms.
b. Roommate Choices.
Yes, you can decide to change your roommates if you arrive at that decision. However, I would ask that you think long and hard before submitting any changes to your current party's roster. The roommates you choose are the characters others will associate with you, and I would prefer to avoid another "revolving room" situation like what happened last year.
3 Participation.
OK... Two points here.
a. Time of Participation.
The best example of this I can think of is SkeeterMuppet, known to us as Kim. She wasn't plugged in here every single moment, every single day. Her posts weren't every single other post in the thread. However, she still managed to post moderately/normally enough to evidence that she was involved, in her own and in dormwide activities.
So if you're going to join, please make an effort to post regularly and show you're part of the group.
b. Evictions.
This is a subject that I've thought about, and it will be enforced. There are three deadline moments for eviction:
The first or second Monday in January, depending on the date of the day itself.
May 15th.
The last Monday in August, a week before the anniversary.
If you are accepted as a new resident and post absolutely nothing from the time you're approved to any one of those three dates, then you will be asked to leave and your room and roommate will become available for other potential new candidates for residency here at the dorms.
4 Review Committee.
This is a select group of six (6) people who are among the most active longtime members of the dorms. This group will be announced once they themselves have submitted their new applications. The committee will defer any cases to myself in the event of a tie vote when deciding on new applicants' submissions.
5 Dorm Life.
Once you become part of the dorms, you'll be expected to:
a. Provide a room layout, but only if you truly wish to do so to let others know about how you have your particular little domains arranged. (No longer a requisit).
b. Cast your vote on whether you want robes or letterman jackets this time around.
Leaning more to the latter since it would be easier to keep track, though I do love designing them.
Leaving that up to each person to decide for themselves.
c. Interact normally/naturally, both with your own roomies and with others should you see them hanging out or engaged in dorm activities.
6 Other Rules/Notes.
a. The roommate(s) you choose will be the ones you yourself can interact with directly, no questions asked, so long as it doesn't go beyond the Muppety norm.
Ex: If I choose to room with my namesake, then I can have The Count von Count appear wherever I choose, interacting with the rest of you guys.
b. The roommate(s) chosen by others can not be directly controlled by others, unless in the following circumstances:
1. Grand musical number/song that involves other characters that aren't your roommate(s) nor even registered as roommates.
2. When somone has asked you specifically to look after their roommates, or arrangements to that effect have been made.
c. There will be periodical dormwide events, including but not limited to:
1. Annual trip to Sesame Street on its birthday, November 10 or that weekend.
2 Thanksgiving Day lunch/dinner, if there are enough people around here to attend.
3. Christmas celebrations.
4 Individual birthdays or other parties as such.
5. Any Hensonville sporting events.
These are the new rules, learn 'em, love 'em, live 'em.

The other item on the agenda is roommate birthdays.
Seems some of you had a bit of a hard time finding your friends' dates of birth. This bit of advice goes out to the following peopl.
Sara, Beth, Kim, Christy, Melissa (Java), Kate, Ryan, Ally, Lisa, Kathy, and Layla.
B-Days for your roommates can be either the airdate of the first episode where said character appeared for the first time, or the same birthday as the Muppeteer who performs said character.
Here's the list of whose B-Days are still missing:
Scooter, Red Fraggle (unless the one submitted will stick), Betty Lou, Sprocket, Gobo, Wembley, Lou Fraggle, Gonzo, Camilla, Clifford, Uncle Deadly, Emmett Otter, Robin, Rowlf, Swedish Chef, and Gaffer.
This also applies to Layla's roomies, waiting to go over that with her shortly.

Well... Here we are, ready for another year at Muppet College Dorms.
Before we begin, a few announcements.
Today's College Colors Day... So I hope to see you wearing some form of Kermit green and golden brown in your clothes when we gather for a celebratory Opening Night dinner later today. Will let you know if it'll be in the common room or outside patio area.
For those of you who are new members, here's a description of the dorms facilities.
*Please remember this narrations speaks as if you were looking directly head-on at the dormhouse building.
Imagine a white marble four-story dormhouse building, only three floors visible above or on the ground, the last is a completely submerged basement floor. A flight of stooplike stairs lead to the outer front doors, two large green rectangular doors like the ones from 1-2-3 Sesame Street. The building's base has two slightly raised banisters flanking the stooped stairs, demarking the basement floor's outside tucked-in window or balcony area. The main dormhouse also features a garden patio with outer deck to its immediate left, a parking lot for assorted vehicles behind the main building, support beams holding up two overhanging balconies on both sides of the building's rear side on the third floor for the eventual addition of the Electric Mayhem's members, and a well-kept pool house located just behind the building's rear righthand corner. There's a pathway that connects the two, you'll need a key to access the pools. Lastly, you'll find a flagpole up on the rooftop landing displaying an unfurled banner of Kermit The Frog, next to the chimney.
When you walk in through the main outer doors, the lobby will be right in front of you. Plush dark coffee brown carpeting lines the lobby's floors, elegant comfortable chairs and a couple of hand-crafted nightstand tables are available for the weary traveler, and a mahogany desk can all be found here. If you'll notice, this is the sign-in desk. Marble numbers from 1 to 59 are sculpted in place on the backwall behind the desk, shining keys hang from the pegs below, and mailslots are located just next to each number for that person's letters or packages. Whenever a new applicant for residency comes in, simply ring the bell and I'll try to get you accomodated in our happy home as quickly as I can. Some of my beautiful bats will promptly deliver your luggage to your room if you need a helping hand. Once you've gotten your key, we proceed t find your matching room. The spiral staircase has been replaced, noone ever really used it. In it's place, you'll find a vending machine with snacks and another with soda, juice, and water. There's a shelf in between the machines burdened with maps of our fair town of Hensonville along with a few extra copies of the more recent popular fanfictional tales purchased from the Coming Unbound bookstore.
If you'll follow me, we now pass through the dark brown swinging door that separates the lobby from the hallway with all the dorm's rooms. The room layout's generally the same, but here are some tips to help you guys out.
*Remember you're looking at this head-on: so left is your own left, right is your own right.
Picture a long rectangular box on your left, a big squarish room in the center, and another long rectangular box on the right.
Each rectangular box would be one of the hallways, with eight rooms each.
The West Wing halls would be the ones found in the rectangular box on the right, the East Wing the box on the left.
Common Rooms are the big squarish ones in the center. Each floor's common room has its own carpeting: white glowing numbers from 1 to 13 on the first floor's, yellow rubber duckies on the second's, bright red radishes on the third's, and smiling green Kermit faces on the fourth's. Each floor's common room features big plexiglass bay windows, though only two strips are left visible due to the rest of the ammenities therein. You'll find that each common room hosts all of the followin:
Sink for washing hands or kitchenware.
Dishwaser.
Microwave, oven, and stove for cooking.
Wooden cabinets to store groceries.
White double refrigerator and freezer unit.
Tooled table and chairs with seating for eight people or Muppets at a time.
Comfy couch for sleepy wanderers.
Big screen TV entertainment console for group TV or movie events.
These common rooms also house a faded grayish trashcan in the rear left corner and an Old World furnace in the rear right corner. The furnace connects with the chimney, but don't worry about getting burned as there's no fire there. Instead, the furnace serves as a functional elevator manned by Seymour from Muppets Tonight.
Seymour will be exempt from roommate status, please interact with him freely but don't overabuse the privilege.
The elevator doors are painted in a motley psychadelic rainbow pattern, MC Radio piping inthanks to the connection routed by Kathy who works there.
The hallways' rooms are arranged in a 4x2 layout, here's the basic floor plan.
If facing a particular floor's common room, please turn 90ŗ so you now have the wall at the end of the corridor in front though somewhat far away from where you're standing at the exact center of that entire floor.
Floor 1: West Wing has Rooms #1, 3, 5, and 7 on your left.
Floor 1: West Wing has Rooms #2, 4, 6, and the dorm's Laundry Room on your right.
Floor 1: East Wing has Rooms #8, 10, 12, and 14 on your right.
Floor 1: East Wing has Rooms #9, 11, 13, and the Floor 1 Bathrooms on your left.
Floor 2: West Wing has Rooms #15, 17, 19, and 21 on your left.
Floor 2: West Wing has Rooms #16, 18, 20, and 22 on your right.
Floor 2: East Wing has Rooms #23, 25, 27, and 29 on your right.
Floor 2: East Wing has Rooms #24, 26, 28, and the Floor 2 Bathrooms on your left.
Floor 3: West Wing has Rooms #30, 32, 34, and 36 on your left.
Floor 3: West Wing has Rooms #31, 33, 35, and 37 on your right.
Floor 3: East Wing has Rooms #38, 40, 42, and 44 on your right.
Floor 3: East Wing has Rooms #39, 41, 43, and the Floor 3 Bathrooms on your left.
Floor 4: West Wing has Rooms #45, 47, 49, and 51 on your left.
Floor 4: West Wing has Rooms #46, 48, 50, and 52 on your right.
Floor 4: East Wing has Rooms #53, 55, 57, and 59 on your right.
Floor 4: East Wing has Rooms #54, 56, 58, and the Floor 4 Bathrooms on your left.
Finally, there's a private office located on the basement floor hidden beneath what would be the main floor's lobby area. This is my personal office, where meetings with perspective residents or the review committee's members can take place. Review committee meetings will be used to plan for birthdays, special events such as group outings, or even to confer possible evictions.

Room description time!
Our room is the basic dorm shape of a rectangle. When entering the room on your left is Beth's side of the room. Beth has a desk with a computer on it, pictures of her husband, friends and pictures from various dorm events over the last year. She also has the complete set of Fraggle Rock plushies released to date, a stuffed Kermit, Fozzie and Bert and Ernie as well as a couple of penguins. Hanging on the wall are more pictures and a bulletin board with a Charlie Brown calendar, a cross, and posters of favorite bands the Goo Goo Dolls and Flogging Molly. Next to the desk is a bed with a purple flowered comforter, many assorted pillows and stuffed bears. On the other side of the bed is the closet, loaded with clothes, bags and everything that won't fit in the room. On the back wall is a bookcase loaded with DVD's including all Muppet Movies, the Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock and a couple of SS DVD's. Next to the bookcase is the tv/dvd/vcr. On the other side of that is another bookcase with books about fairies, rocks, cheerleading, swimming, music, communications and some storybooks. Opposite of Beth's side is Red and Abby's side. Red sleeps in a hammock strung across the top of the wall. She has her red swirly slide to get to the bottom still. She also has a rope ladder to climb up into the hammock. Below Red's hammock is Abby's bed. Abby has Tinkerbell sheets and a Tinkerbell comforter. On her bed are also assorted pillows and her blanky. Next to Abby's bed is a closet filled with red sweaters, frilly dresses and a cloak for when Red wants to be like Mokey. There's also a few swimsuits of Red's. Next to the closet is the desk that Red and Abby share with a computer. There are pictures of each of their friends and family such as Mokey, Gobo, Wembley and Boober, Elmo, Zoe, Baby Bear and Rosita and also Abby's mom and dad. Hanging above the desk is a shelf with Red's trophys from swimming competitions. In the middle of the room is a swing and scattered about the room are beanbags and a big flower rug in the middle. The walls are painted in bright yellows, pinks and purples.
Beth: Well, I think that's about it for unpacking!
Red: I'm excited to see everyone at the big dinner
Abby: I don't know if I want to go. What if no one likes me?
Red: It's ok Abby, everyone's real nice and Beth and I will be there with you
Beth: And some of your friends from Sesame Street are here too like Elmo and Big Bird
Abby: Really? Ok! It will be fun!

Bry: Of course. I'm sure Ed wouldn't mind that too much every now and then. I think Baby Bear slept over once.

Bry: But those times may have to be limitted somewhat. Also, this old caveroom will probably need to be taken down if no one is using it. By the way, there is a little dinner party tonight and you guys can go, but I'm not gonna be able to make it.

Bry: No, you should stay here incase our other two roommates arrive tonight.

The door to room 20 swings open slowly. Catherine (Ru) and Piggy step into the now glistening clean room.
Catherine: Wow, Piggy--they did a great job on the room, didn't they? And look, they got the renovations done in record time. See--we won't have to give up any of our space just because we're getting roomies.
Piggy: (pouting) I still don't see why we have to have roommates. I liked it last year when it was just the two of us.
Catherine: (masterfully hiding a smile) Wait and see, Piggy--you might like having roomies. (Walking through the now-empty space) I think they made the kitchen a little bigger, too. That means we can put the drop-leaf in the table so we can all sit down together.
Piggy: (sniffs) Oh joy....
Catherine: Well, look--I'm going to go down and get Monster Moving to start bringing all our stuff up. Do you want to help? (Piggy just stares.) Oookay. Tell you what--our rooms are to the right--yeah, through that door. Pick whichever one you want and I'll have them bring up your canopy bed as soon as they can get it out of the van, 'kay? (Piggy starts through the door leading to the two bedrooms on the right of the door.) I think Ed said the closet in the back is slightly bigger, but I don't care which one I get, so pick the one you want. I'll be back up with the movers in a minute.

(A seemingly endless supply of hefty, furry movers comes marching into room 20, bringing boxes, bags, clothing trucks, a rufflely pink canopy bed, two purple tweed recliners, a coffee table and several bags of what might be groceries. Catherine directs some things to their spots and looks blank over other things. The most common phrase heard for some moments is "In Piggy's room in the back." Happily unpacking, Piggy has stopped pouting. Catherine directs plants, lamps, a sewing machine, an entertainment center, a writing desk and a small wooden two-drawer filing cabinet to their spots around the room. Some of the stuff is sent vaguely to "over there for the time being" while other things go straight to their allocated spots around the big common area. The table is quickly set up and the leaf inserted. Catherine throws a pink linen tablecloth over it, shaking out the wrinkles, and puts down four lime-green linen napkins--one on each side. Groceries are put away in the small but roomy refridgerator or in the cabinets over the sink. Dishes are unpacked and stored away. At last, Catherine looks around the room and purses her lips, relatively satisfied with the arrangements.)
Catherine: Hey Piggy--come see what you think!
After a moment, Piggy emerges from her room. She is very nicely dressed in a light pink kimono-style dress, and her hair is swept back from one pink ear and held in place with a flower. She is wearing matching pink pumps which make Catherine's feet hurt just looking at them, but she moves in them as though they were scuffs.
Piggy: This looks good. I think the kitchen is bigger. Very nice--and I like the new recliners.
Catherine: Me too. I thought we should update our living area a little. You're very dressed up for a quiet evening at home.
Piggy: Didn't I tell you?
Catherine: (not liking the way this is going) Tell me what?
Piggy: There's some sort of wing-ding here tonight to celebrate the dorm re-opening. Some of the girls in the hall were talking about it.
Catherine: Gah! Piggy--I'm a mess! (desperately) When? When are we having a wing-ding?
Piggy: Didn't catch the time--ask one of the girls in room 18. Did you make tea, yet?
Catherine: (counting slowly to self 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) No. No, I have not made tea yet. Use the microwave or turn on the teapot. I'm going down to room 18--back in a minute. (pauses in doorway) Oh, and Piggy--if our roommates come while I'm gone--BE NICE.
Piggy: (silkily) Moi is always nice.
Catherine: (mutter, mutter, mutter)
Piggy: What was that, dear?
Catherine: Nothing. Back in a sec. (rushes desperately to room 18 and beats on door) Hellow? Anybody home? Hello? Can you tell me what time the party starts tonight?

Hmmm, might have another question for you Kim, that's later though.
Maybe half an hour more to get everything ready, and then we'll eat. Might have to be indoors though. Been raining this whole afternoon, *checks outside*, oh looks like it's let up and the sun's dried all the puddles away. Good, means the kids will be able to play while we're eating dinner.
Cath... Looks like you posted almost the same message twice. Will let it slide, cause I'm hoping for an update to Kermie's Girl soonish.

Sure thing Bry. *Gets beefy burgers, oven fries and onion rings, and garlic mushrooms out of the oven with care.
*Puts dessert inside to start baking.
Description of room:
To the right of the door along the same wall is a loft bed with hunter green t-shirt sheets and a complimentary oversized green comforter. Multiple pillows are on the bed matching the bedding except one in a beige pillow case. It sits at the head of the bed where the sheets are folded down waiting for an occupant. An overstuffed bag with the MUSC Children's Hospital logo is hanging from the knob with yarn spilling over the side connected to crochet and knitting works in progress. Underneath the bed is Sprockets beds (one knitted by Melissa and the one from Doc) and his trunk full of some of his belongings.
On the next wall is a huge bulliten board that stretches from the bed post to the closet. It has many things hanging from it all ready: multiple pics that are all Melissa's works ranging from Downtown Charleston, SC, to the mountains, to her five siblings, to her husband and the new house they are buying; Melissa's work schedule, a calander of M*A*S*H scenes, scraps of paper with fiction ideas, needlework patterns, and many works of art from Sprocket.
Caddy cornered between the door to the closet and the window on the back wall is a computer desk with the computer, all-in-one printer combo, the notebook with the next fan-fic in it, and manuals from Melissa's job.
Underneath the window is a unique bookcase that Melissa's husband built for her so she could use it as a seat as well. Handmade lace curtains have been hung over the window.
On the final wall is more pictures that Melissa has taken and posters of Sprockets interests. No furniture lines the walls in case Melissa and Sprocket ever have someone else come to bunk with them or even move in. They do have an aerobed for any sleepover's they may have.
<Melissa and Sprocket stand back at the door of the room and look around>
Remind me to ask Ed what his bats would like as a present when we go down to dinner,Sprocket. They really worked overtime on bringing up the stuff. I can't believe we have so much stuff. Wow.
<Sprocket nods head that he will remind her to ask>
Thank goodness we have a large closet to hide what I'm to lazy to put away correctly right now though. Now, Let's go down and check on dinner.

Showered and dressed in record time, Catherine attempts to do something unscary with her hair. The third attempt is moderately successful and she clips the whole curly mess up in a big red poufy clip. Her dress is not freshly pressed, but it is freshly steamed from the shower and it will do. She is wearing sandals and has almost stopped panting as she throws herself down into one of the two recliners. Almost immediately, she is up, turning off the teapot on the stove before it boils dry. She refills the pot and puts it back on the burner after turning down the heat.
Catherine: Piggy--let's try not to burn the dorms down the first night, hm?
Piggy: Oh--silly me. Look--I put up some pictures.
Catherine: Oh--so you did! Thanks, Piggy. (Walks over the looks out the window that's over the sewing machine and the desk.) Looks like the rain has cleared up--I think we might get to eat outside.
Piggy: Good. I'm starving. (Looks up hopefully)
Catherine: (laughing) They're around here somewhere--let me look. (Rummages and returns with battered brownie tin.) You'll have to take a blondie--the movers ate all the chocolate ones. Take two--they're small.
Piggy: (looking up to see if she is being teased. She is not. Piggy takes two of the larges blonde brownies and puts them on her saucer.) It's nice to be back, isn't it?
Catherine: Yep--and I think it's just going to get better.

Well... We just got our first new addition to the register.
Room #23: Nyssa and Mokey Fraggle, Ludo, and The Jabberwock.
*Hands key to Nyssa. Directly in front of Lisa's, just like usual huh?
OK then. Almost 8 PM, and there's still some sunlight out in the waining evening hours.
Come on Count, let's move this out to the buffet table.
*Starts loading platters, trays, cups, and pitchers of water and flavored lemon tea out to the patio area.
Good thing the outside lights are turning on like clockwork. All right, better go call the others.
*Makes general announcement from lobby's desk's PA system. Attention dorm residents, dinner is served and waiting in the outside patio.

*Camera pans back to reveal Ed wearing a Kermit green polo shirt, dark jeans, black belt with a gold-brown shiny metal buckle, white socks and black penny loafer shoes. The Count is dressed in his normal garb, though complimented by a Kermit green cape showing off the dazzling swirls of gold and brown on the inside paneling.

(I dug this out of the depths of the Dorms archive...edited, of course)
There are lots of tall tree like plants and grass flooring(for that foresty look). The room has bunk bed with an extra large mattress on the bottom for Ludo. One of the trees has a large cubby so that Jabber can sleep inside and there's a hammock in the corner for Mokey. There's a large bookcase full of fantasy books. Several comfy, wood carved chairs for sitting and a large bean bag for Ludo. Several different sized rocks(friends for Ludo). A TV with a DVD player, Game Cube, and an X-box hooked up to it. Another small bookcase filled with muppet DVDs and various different games. In the corner is a desk for doing school work(yeah right), artwork, and writing stories. On the desk is a reading lamp and a computer. All the walls are painted white(waiting for me and Mokey to paint wonderful murals on them later on). Next to the desk is a large dresser for clothes. On the other side of the room is a small dorm fridge with a microwave on top. There's some counter space, a small sink, and a few cabinets over head full of food.
Me: This is gonna be great!
<Melissa steps out on the patio into the corner with Sprocket. Sprocket is wearing a knitted Kermit green kerchief with a golden brown border and Melissa has on kahki's and a Kermit green polo shirt>
(whispering to Sprocket) Oh, well, I guess it's kind of hard to hide when not many are out here.
<Sprocket runs off to the buffet table to examin the offerings>
Hey, Ed and Count, what can I get the bats for doing such a terrific job bringing in all of our stuff? I didn't realize I worked them so hard until I was putting it all away.

Oh... That's OK Melissa. They usually like little sweets like peppermints or marshmallows. Don't like them myself, but the bats always seem to gobble it down, stuff like that. There's a candy shop in town, the Penny Candyman I believe.
Oh, meant to ask about your room layout... M*A*S*H?!? *Laughing a little, don't get anywhere near D'Snowth... He works at the local T*K*O unit, let's just say that show's one of his little hobbies along with a total devotion to Kathy Greenwood of Whose Line is it Anyway? fame.
Waiting for others to arrive... There's white rice, baked beans, fries and rings, water and sweetened lemon tea, seven-layer salad (you can ask me for its composition later if you guys wish), garlic mushrooms and beffy burgers. Dessert's in the oven, wonder why noone else's shown up though.
That's right, M*A*S*H. I've just got to grab a few more seasons before that DVD collection is complete. I'll head down to Penny Candyman tomorrow.
All of this food looks delicious.
<Grabs two plates and fills them with a little of everything. Cuts up one plate's contents into managable bits and takes it over to a corner to set down for Sprocket so no one will accidently step in it>

<Leyla shuffles her burdens around until she is able to fit the key in the lock. A few more shuffles with her armload swaying precariously and she manages to get the door open. A fishing rod rolls back and she catches it in her teeth>
Hilda:Oh! Could I give you a hand?
Leyla<letting go of the rod so it rolls forward then holding it under her chin>: Oh, please don't. Applause is not necessary, Hilda. I'm a little shy, anyway. I shouldn't like to cause a fuss.
Hilda:That's not the kind of hand I meant!
Leyla: Oh, well, of course you can give me a hand... but right now I couldn't possibly hold another thing, so if you could just hold on to the hand first, and then we'll find a nice place for it, that would be great!
Hilda<exasperated>: No, I meant, can I help you?
Leyla<blankly>: With what?
<Hilda, shocked into speechlessness, waves vaguely in the direction of the boxes>
Leyla<catching on at long last>: Oh! Oh, yes. The things! Well, that would be lovely. <She crouches and Hilda relieves her of a box and the fishing pole>

Boober: Oh, good. I have to admit, I was worried about her being in the Rock by herself, without any of us around.
Tosh: There are other Fraggles in the Rock besides you five, you know.
Boober: I know, but..!
Kim: Whoa-hey, simmer guys! Don't want to start this year off on the wrong foot.
Gillis: *looking at his feet* Which foot should we use then?
Kim: *facepalms* Gimme strength... Anyhoo, here's the description of what Room #19 looks like from the inside:
The room's the standard rectangular shape of any other dorm room. On the right side of the room as you enter are Tosh, Betty Lou and Boober's beds; Tosh and Betty Lou are sharing a bunk bed while Boober has a platform (that's non-converting) futon. Once again this year, Tosh has the top bunk while Betty Lou has the bottom. Tosh has a plum and olive-green quilt and cream-colored sheets on her bed, and she still has the curtain around her bunk. Her pillows have plum-colored cases. Betty Lou's bedspread is blue and white check, and she has blue sheets with a white blanket, and her pillows have white cases. Betty Lou's bottom bunk is also a futon that can convert to a sofa in the daytime. In between the girls' bunk and Boober's bed is a chest of drawers that is the perfect height for two Fraggles or one Muppet girl. The top two drawers are for Tosh and Betty Lou's things, like extra dresses for Betty Lou (and her dolls) or Tosh's Fraggle pebble collection. The bottom drawers are Boober's and hold all of his cleaning and laundry supplies. Boober has a brown blanket and cream-colored sheets on his bed, and tan pillowcases on his pillows. On the wall near his bed is a peg where he can hang his hat and his scarf when he goes to bed.
The left side of the room is the "grown-ups'" side, or Gillis and Kim's side. The bed, which is near the closet, is a loft-style bed. This is Kim's bed; it has a quilt of lavender, green and white squares with flowers embroidered over them, purple sheets and purple cases on her pillows. At the head of the bed is a taller dresser that's shared by Kim and Gillis, and the top of which Kim uses for a nightstand. Underneath Kim's bed are the TV/VCR and DVD player, and a smaller bed belonging to Gillis. Gillis' bed has white sheets and an olive-green blanket. The TV/VCR and DVD player sit on a wooden TV stand that has a cabinet on the bottom. Inside is their DVD and VHS collection, including Season 1 of TMS, Doctor Who and the Marx Brothers. Beside the TV is a small refrigerator filled with pop, fruit juice, water and extra Doozer sticks (which taste just as good cold).
On the wall opposite the door is a desk that is roughly 3/4 the length of the wall. Above the desk are bookshelves the same length as the desk. On those shelves is Kim's book collection, including her copies of Harpo Speaks!, Of Muppets and Men and Jim Henson: The Works. Also on the shelves are photographs of the roomies' friends and family - the rest of the Fraggle Five for Boober and Tosh, the Minstrels for Gillis (one group shot, and an individual shot of Brio), and some of Betty Lou's friends from Sesame Street. On one end of the desk is the computer; the other end is left empty in case someone wants to do some writing or drawing. School supplies are kept in the desk drawers. The remaining quarter of the wall is a window.
The closet is on the same wall as the door, and like last year is divided in half. One half is for clothing - Tosh's dresses, Gillis' jackets and Kim's wardrobe. On the floor is the laundry basket and the hamper. On the shelf above are Kim's shower caddy and the room's first-aid kit (always kept stocked by Boober), not to mention extra cleaning supplies. There is also a screen to be used for privacy when changing your clothes. The other half of the closet belongs to Tosh's Beast. He has a large dog bed with a yellow blanket and a fluffy pillow. At night (or when the roomies have to go somewhere without him), his rope attaches to a hook on the wall. Tosh keeps extra rope in one of her dresser drawers. Also on the floor of Beast's side of the closet are various toys for him to play with.
Kim: And, that's our room. Hope you enjoyed the tour...now let's get to the party, you guys!

*hears Herry crying* Somethings wrong with Herry. Come on guys. *runs to the floor he was on* Herry?! Are you alright Herry? It'll be alright Herry.
Grover: Ooooh poor Herry. *starts crying*
Were already back and things just arn't going well. I'm so sorry Ed. Herry is going through his aging again. We need to cheer him up.

(Catherine and Piggy are happily knoshing on the delicious food with Hilda and Leyla and a few new faces. Their drink glasses are empty, however, and Catherine goes back to refill them. She is just turning from the table when she stops, her mouth opens in surprise, and she hastily puts the glasses down so she can embrace first Kermit and then Fozzie. Fozzie holds on to Catherine wearily and she speaks to Kermit while returning Fozzie's hug.)
Catherine: Hey guys! I was beginning to get worried about you two. Where have you been?
Kermit: Well the train that goes to Morrow was already gone when we got to the station.
Catherine: (confused) Yes, but you weren't going to Morrow--you were coming here.
Kermit: I know--it took me this long to try to explain it to Fozzie. (they exchange merry glances) Anyway,we're here. Boy--something smells great.
Catherine: Oh--you must be starved. Here! (hands over glasses of iced tea with mint in it to Kermit) Find a seat and I'll bring you some food. Anything I should know about in the way of food?
Fozzie: (sounding very tired) Can you cut up my food for me? How about chewing it for me? I am soooo tired....
Catherine: Fozzie, c'mon, honey. Let's get you a place to sit. Hey Rowlf! Look who finally decided to grace us with their presence? Can Fozzie sit with you and Robin and Lisa while we get food? Great! (quietly to Kermit) Piggy's with Leyla and Hilda.
Kermit: Does she know?
Catherine: Haven't told her. She's not happy with the thought of getting roomies. I let it ride.
Kermit: (nervously) Do you, um, do you think this is going to work out okay?
Catherine: (muttering) Fine time to be asking!
Kermit: Well, we really appreciate you inviting us. We were sort of at loose ends after that TV pilot went south, and going back to school sounded great. They've got a class here on the influence of amphibians on classical theatre that sounds interesting.
Catherine: (with a hard look, while they fill two heaping plates with food) You're sortof avoiding the issue, I think.
Kermit: (gulping a little nervously) Um, well, you know, Piggy and I are both adults--
Catherine: (muttering) That's what I'm afraid of.
Kermit: What?
Catherine: Nothing....
Kermit: --and it's not the first time we've lived together. Um, I mean, lived together in a, um, dorm, um, situation. (He is blushing furiously.)
Catherine: (ignoring Kermit's blush) Right--and it seemed to go okay last year.
Kermit: (shifting uncomfortably) Yeah, um, but, you know, we didn't see a lot of each other last year.
Catherine: (very softly) Yes, I know. I was Piggy's roommate last semester, remember?
Kermit: Yeah, and, um, we were sortof not seeing a lot of each other then.
Catherine: Um hm. (looks at Kermit carefully) I sort of thought that was by design, not accident.
Kermit: Well, I've been thinking about things and I thought that maybe this would be a way for us to spend some time together when we weren't on the set all the time. When I got your letter saying that you and Piggy were coming back for another year I thought, what the hey! That's when I wrote you.
Catherine: Well, Ed arranged everything. You won't believe how beautiful the room is. Oh--where are your things?
Kermit: Station's sending them over no later than tomorrow because--
Catherine and Kermit together: --they'd already gone today.
(Catherine gives him a look.) Well, I can promise it won't be boring. C'mon--I think Fozzie's going to start gnawing the lawn chair. You want to come say "hi" to Piggy now or let me bring her over to say "hi" to you.
Kermit: (looking longingly at food) Um, I think I'd better go on over and say hi-ho now. Then eat.
Catherine: Good answer.
Kermit: Hey--it was really great of you to help me get Fozzie's course schedule approved. He's really looking forward to "Advanced Heckler Defense Strategy" and I was afraid they'd get full
Catherine: Yeah--new class and all. No problem--Ed knows everybody here. Oh--I'm in at least one sewing class with Hilda. It's going to be such a fun year!
Kermit: (stopping a few feet away from Piggy) Hey, Piggy.
(Piggy stops chewing, swallows and turns around as though she can't believe her perked-up ears.) K-Kermit?
Kermit: (taking the seat Catherine recently vacated and balancing his foot precariously) Yeah. I, um, enrolled again this semester. Me and Fozzie. We're going to be living in the dorm again.
Piggy: (trying hard not to look excited but failing miserably) Really? What room are you in.
Kermit: (very deliberately NOT looking at Catherine) Second floor. We're not unpacked or anything--our stuff hasn't even come over from the station yet.
Piggy: (trying belatedly to play things very cool) Well, perhaps we'll see each other, um, around.
Kermit: (giving Piggy a sweet smile) I think you can count on it, Piggy.

We decided to honor you tonight, along with the reopening. Now you sit down here with Kyle and the others and dig into the great food we got.
*Gets up, goes inside, and comes back with candles, birthday cake for Herry, and a warm chocolate mousse resting atop another Bavarian cake.
Had the second cake delivered by Angie at Mike's Bakery from here in town. OK, eat up and blow out the candles Herry.

<Leyla and Hilda are sleepily moving the last of the boxes into the room. The Jim Henson Farmer, infamous for singing "Put Another Log on the Fire", among other things, is poking cautiously into the ushy gushy girl cage.>
Jim: A lot of ruckus in there while you were out shindigging like ain't proper for young ladies.
<Hilda looks at the sleeping figure inside the cage with some anxiety>
Leyla: Oh, don't fret about her. I sort of expected this, what with the neighbours and all the excitment of moving in. Lisa's just finished another chapter of Flippersteps. I'll tuck in there in case she wakes during the night. That'll keep her happy.
Hilda:<shrug> If you say so. <brightening> Wasn't it wonderful spending time with everyone? I didn't realise Kermit and Fozzie would be rooming with Miss Piggy and Catherine.
Leyla:<grins> Mmm... Piggy herself doesn't realize yet either. I think it's lovely.
Hilda: <dryly> I think it's trouble!
Leyla<looks around the room with a thoughtful frown.>: So much to do tommorow in here. <tilts head and smiles thoughtfully> It's been a while since I've been in a dorm, and never one quite like this. You know, I heard it through the grapevine that Ed approves our presence here. That means a lot.
Hilda: Yes, well, you worry too much. As a wise bear once said, "They're weirdos, but they're nice weirdos." We'll be settled in before you know it. I still think we should be more worried about trouble brmming up next door.
Leyla <shakes head> Ru can handle whatever they throw at her, believe me. I just hope I can handle our own little crisis.
<Leyla and Hilda turn in unison to look at the double bed where Wanda is stretched out dramatically, her face streaked with tears. Jimmy boy has completely ignored her.>
Hilda: <hushed> She finally dropped off, I see.
Leyla: <sigh> Yep. I'm sure she'll get over that little spat with W-
Wanda: <sits up suddenly> Don't you mention that creep's name in my presence!
Leyla: <moving over to sit on the bed> I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-
Wanda: Do you know what he said to me?! Do you?!
Hilda: <hushed, yet audible> How could we know? You've only been repeating it since Tueday.
Wanda: He called me a no talent hack! Me!

Hilda snickers.

Leyla: Well... let's not even think about it right now, dear. It's been a full day. Let's say we get some sleep. <whispers to Hilda> We'll let her have the big bed until she feels better, hmm?

Leyla: <shrug> Maybe, but that includes you too, so think of that. I'm in the sleeping bag next to the UG cage. Wanda... Wanda? Oh, she's out again. Count: Yes... Batty's in his little roost inside the vindow's overhanging frame.
Yep, so's Necra my newest bat, keeping him company.
*Meowing can be heard, along with a light pawing or scratching, just outside our door.
Hmmm... Guess Kath forgot to let Gaffer inside last night. Better open up and let her in here until those gals get back...
*Opens door to find a fabulous feline of inky black fur with a black velvet bow around her neck.
Count: Ah ha! Fatatatita, my little darling, come to join us have you?
*The Count's cat runs to him, seeking his approval.
Count: Yes, of course you can stay... Can she Edvard?
Of course, she's one of your pets, and I don't think it'll hurt our roommate total since others have pets of their own here in the dorms.
Count: Vonderful!
*Fatatatita comes over to me, allows me to pat her head and meows happily.
Good, now let's get going off to Everybody Eats. They're having a sort of Welcome Home buffet today for all the new people in town.
