*Laughs a little. Yeah, just cause noone's posting in a while, dodn't mean it's dead. Heck, if it were, you'd think Uncle Deadly and my roomie here would like it better.
No, it might close down at the anniversary... But we've got the summer before then. Hope you guys and ghouls have a good night's sleep.


Telly: (running around the second floor hall frantic) Oh no!! Ed's closing down the dorms!! Oh this is TERRIBLE!!! WE WON'T ALL BE TOGETHER ANYMORE!!!! WHAT ARE WE TO DO??! WHAAAAAAA!!!!!!

*Up and doing a few chores... Hey Telly, calm down. We went through this last year. And we'll go through it every anniversary. The dorms will only be closed for a little time, so everyone can make sure they'll be residents once it reopens. Just a way to make sure of that this time. And Bryan will let you know what'll happen when we get to that moment. But there's no need to worry yet, we've got a couple of months of fun before that.
Now run off and have some breakfast with the rest of your roomies.
*Sends Telly back to Bryan, hopeful he's calmer now.

Scooter: You're finally picking that story up again?

Sara: Yeah, my knee and everything was just bringing me down, and I've gotten the inspiration to write more of the story! *gently pats her knee now* You've not noticed it, but I'm in a soft knee wrap now! It's a lot easier then that hard, metal knee brace.

Scooter: Hope they like the latest chapter, even though it's been pratically forever since you've touched it. XD

Sara: Ha-ha, Scooter. Very funny...but yeah it has been awhile hasn't it? Oh well, hope they like it!

ELMO: Ed is going to close the dorms for the anniversary

Guys... It'll be OK. Like I said, we wnet through this last year. I contacted everyone to see whether they'd stay on or leave, and I got varying results from most of the people living here at that time. What I'm thinking of doing will *hopefully* end up as more practical this time around. But no worries, cares for another day. Remember yourselves now, got the whole summer left to play.

Martin: Everybody seems to be getting excited and frantic about rumours we'll all be evicted from our dorms Bill. Doesn't worry me though. Ed said it was nothing to become upset about and I've got too much faith to let it worry me.
Bill: How is your mother? She was too sick to watch the next Astroboy episodes with you wasn't she?
Martin: That's true. She was a bit sicker than she rightfully should have been. The doctors had given her medication to counteract the nauseous attacks but forgot to give her any for keeping her bowels unblocked.
Bill: That's bad.
Martin: Yes but she's okay now she has the medication she should have had to start with. Never mind people do sometimes make mistakes and she could always be far worse.
Bill: You really are a very faithful person Martin.
Martin: I don't like to brag about it Bill. I just have a loyal Friend who sees me through the troubles in my life. And Mummy and I needed to be drawn closer together after the silly fights we had before while I lived with her. So some good has come out of this.
Bill: Did you enjoy spending Saturday night sleeping over at her house?
Martin: I sure did. And I gave her the flower bouquet that Ed provided for her. She loved it. I think she's happy that I'm going to spend every Saturday night with her now. And Grandmother and Aunt are pleased with it too. I'm trying to get happier acquainted with all of them.
Bill: That's great Martin. Let's celebrate. Ready?
Martin: Am I ever?

Piggy: Um, he's been trying to get the Swedish Chef to try some of his recipes. Chef's been hanging out in the hall there for a few days and they seem to be getting sort of chummy. I think this is a bad thing.
Catherine: (Obviously worried over the possibilities) Yes--this does sound like a bad thing. What can we do?
Piggy: (unintelligible mumbling)
Catherine: What? Can't hear you, dear.
Piggy: I said maybewecouldinvitehimtovisitusforafewdays.
Catherine: (stunned) Um. That's very generous of you, Piggy. (eyes twinkling) Planning to share your closet?
Piggy: (Looking alarmed) I thought you could--you know, you have so much more room in your closet than I do....
Catherine: Okay, Piggy--I'm just teasing. I'll ask him to visit for a few days and see how he likes it here.
Piggy: Maybe he is lonely for a kitchen.
Catherine: (giving Piggy 'the look' which, as usual, has no effect) Would this whole thing be a ploy to get more galley slaves to wait on you, Piggy?
Piggy: (dashing for door) Maybe....I'll go ask him!

Rosita: Well, we think that Miss Piggy has been looking a little sad lately, so we thought we would go visit her and sing her a song to cheer her up.

Kim: Ah, so the dorms will be closing for a little while during the summer. I wondered about that.
Boober: Maybe we should start packing now, so that we're all prepared to move out.
Kim: I don't think we need to do that quite yet, Boober. We've still got some time before then I'm sure.
Boober: Okay, if you're sure.
Tosh: Kim? When we leave, we can still come visit you at your home right?
Kim: Sure, Tosh! You guys are always welcome at my house, you know that. Who knows; a Fraggle hole might pop up right in my basement. Just not by the washing machine; that'd freak my mother out. And we can do fun things together like we did last Friday, going into Chicago to see that musical.
Gillis: Yes, that was a fun time. It was a wonderful show; I understand why you love it so much, now.
Betty Lou: What about next year? Can we still be roommates next year?
Kim: Well, we'll have to see what Ed says. But I don't think there'd be anything wrong with it. And even if we don't end up together, you guys can always come and visit me.

Well... The dorms won't close down till around the first week of September 2006. As for whether any current roommate will/might still room with their current dorms' resident... That's rully up to each dorms' resident to decide for themselves when the time comes.
Just be prepared to choose, since it'll be a complete do-over, still toying with the limit.
But no worries about that now. Summer's here and it's time to play... Well, actually, it's time for sleep. Unless you're one of the creatures of the night...

Kim: Hey guys, you interested in going to a carnival this weekend?
Betty Lou: A carnival? Where?
Gillis: That's right; it's ByronFest this weekend isn't it?
Kim: Yup. Which means it's also getting to close to my one-year anniversary here at the dorms. You, Tosh, Beast and I moved in on the 20th of July last year.
Boober: So what's "ByronFest"?
Kim: It's a weekend-long festival my hometown has every summer. There's carnival rides and games, a "Taste of Byron" with food from different vendors, a craft show and a quilt show, and there's also a parade on Sunday.
Tosh: Sounds like fun!
Betty Lou: You have to be in the parade again this year?
Kim: Yeah. Anyway I've got to work at the library tomorrow, but if you guys promise to behave yourselves you can go visit the carnival while I'm working.
Roomies: *various response of "We will!" and "We promise!"*
Gillis: I'll keep an eye on them, don't worry Kim.

*Shows up at lobby desk. Sorry to have kept you waiting Fuzzhead... *Grabs key from hook next to number 9 on the desk's backwall...

Fright this way. Past these double doors, there's a rainbow staircase there to our right, might get replaced with an elevator soon though. Past a second set of double doors and here we are in the main hallway of Floor 2. That big room directly in front of us is the Common Room. Oscar lives in the trashcan there in the back left corner, and the Old World furnace in the back right corner is how we get from floor to floor.
*Presses button and fireplace's dumbwaiter elevator opens up. Come on, we'll just take a quick trip down to the basement floor. *They ride down one floor and enter Floor 1's Common Room. You'll notice the carpeting on each floor's common room is different, though most of the furnishings are the same.
OK, now we take a turn to our right, and it should be... First door down on our left. *Hands key to Fuzzhead.
Let's see... You have Ally and Emmett Otter as neighbors across the hall in Room #8; AnimalJam with Ace Yu, Colleen Barker, and Bubba the Bartender next door in Room #11; and if you head in the other direction when leaving the common room on this floor, my room is the first one on your lefthand side if you need to talk or ask about anything regarding the dorms.

All that's left now is for you to post a descript of what your room looks like according to your own tastes and those of your roommates here... And to send me design ideas for dorm member robes for yourself and each member in your party. Hope you enjoy your stay here and welcome to MC Dorms. Oh yes, before I forget... Thanks, Count. As The Count said, I am very new at this so please bear with me if I don't do things exactly right at first.

Room description (the best I could do):

Our room is a very simple room because we both live very peaceful and simple lifestyles. We went with an overall earth tone theme. We wanted to bring the outdoors in. The walls are a light mocha color. The ceiling is painted half in a sky blue with clouds and fades into a night sky with stars and constellations. The floor is covered with rag throw rugs in various earth tones. When entering the room, there is an entertainment center with television and DVD player to the left. Next to that is a computer desk and office chair. On my side of the room, the right side, I have a small pine bed, matching pine dresser and bookcase. I also have a matching night stand with a small lamp and alarm clock. The drawer in my night stand holds my toothbrush, deodorant, and other essentials. There is also a small closet with some shelf space. The other side of the room is almost identical, except there is no bed. Jen sleeps on a small mat on the floor. On Jen’s night stand are two photographs. One of Kira and one of urSu the master. He also keeps his flutes and other wood carvings in the drawer of his night stand. There are two large, brown beanbag chairs in the center of the room. There is another small closet on the left side of the room. This is where Fizzgig lives. He sleeps on a pile of old comfortable blankets in the bottom of the closet. There is also a dish for his food. We have several large potted plants around the room, including a large fern that Jen has brought with him.

Betty Lou: If there's a height limit and they say we're too small to get on, then we shouldn't be riding that ride.

Boober: No standing on each other's shoulders to make ourselves look taller so we can go on those rides?
Kim: *chuckles* No, but also a good rule Boober.
Tosh: Don't talk to strangers, and don't go wandering off anywhere with anyone we don't know.
Kim: Right again. Rule #3?
Gillis: We're only getting enough money for lunch and to play some of the carnival games. Spend it wisely.
Kim: Correct. Rule #4?
Boober: When we run out of money don't come to you at work asking for more. Because we won't get it.
Kim: Darn right. Rule #5?
Betty Lou: If we get done before five o'clock, come straight to the library and wait for you to get off work - patiently.

Gillis: In case of emergency we're to call either you at the library or your mother at the church if we can't reach you.

Ah... The fun of the carnival or the mall... Good rules of thumb Kim. Course, when we got a bit older, my dad trusted us to go off on our own and explore safely, promising to meet back at a meeting point by a certain time. Jen: He's still asleep in the closet.
Fuzzhead: He would sleep all day if we let him. Hey, I think I'm going to take a shower, then head on out to see if anybody's around. Do you want to get some breakfast?
Jen: I ate some Mugroot already. Maybe some lunch later. I think I want to relax in here for a while.

It was such extreme short notice we just packed up and left without saying good-bye to anyone! Please accept our humble apologies! But Mummy is responding to her chemotherapy well and she was so happy to see me and guess what? We finally finished watching the Astroboy series on DVD together! Isn't that great?

Martin: I will one day if God is willing. Anyway I'm glad to be bonding with my mother. I have to visit her again. This time I'll be staying from Tuesday to Thursday night so I won't be away quite as long. I hope to start watching Kimba the White Lion with her.

Prairie: No, we can still do it. Hey, great art takes time. We can keep working on it and do it later. Besides, I am sure Kathy would like to see it. Don't worry, Rosita, we'll keep working on it. In the meantime...*yawn* I'm sleepy. Think it's time for me to go to sleep.

There's a red & white bow in between the ears on top.Just like Minnie has.:) It feels pretty good to be home.Unfortunately it rained today.So I'm hoping that my sister in law & her family that came down didn't get rained on.

Oh Matt... The dorms will close down about a week before the anniversary. They'll reopen when we're ready to have our celebration. As for keeping your roommates...
The current register will be wiped clean and you'll have to submit an application... But I don't want to give away all the stuff that'll take place at that time. Don't want to worry anybody who's currently living here at the dorms.

Will make an announcement and let everybody know the dorms' rules when we get to that moment in time. For now, just enjoy yourself and what's left of the summer.
