PETER: I am starting to get worried over Bryan and his dormies

ELMO: Yeah, what the heck did he invite Big Bird, Telly and Elmo on that car trip

ZOE: It is 12:17am

LITTLE BIRD: And I am starting to get worried

PETER: Why don't we say a prayer everyone for Bryan and his dorm mates of getting home witn no bruises or not get into an accident before we go to bed

ALL: Our father which art in heaven
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Thy Kingdom Come, thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread, and give us to our endeavors
As we forgive or trespassers, But lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever

LITTLE BIRD: Peter, where did you learn this stuff

PETER: At my Christian Science Church

ZOE: in addition, Peter also goes to another church in Rhode Island, it's a Jewish Church

ELMO: So Peter is doing good

PETER: Thanks, Good Night Elmo and Zoe and Little Bird

LITTLE BIRD: Good Night Zoe and Elmo and Peter

ELMO: Good Night Zoe and Peter and Little Bird

ZOE: Good Night Elmo and Peter and Little Bird

Bry: Everyone was being worried for nothing. We've been back for a while. We snuck in hours ago. Oh well. Whatcha doin, Hoots.
Hoots: Trying to find the letter of the day. (blows a note out of his sax and the Letter F comes out of the horn) There! The Letter F!
Bry: Starts words like faithful, friendly and fun. All great words to describe our friends at the dorms.
Hoots: I know the Number of the Day too. The Number 2, for 2 Snuffleupagus' in our room tonight.
Bry: Yeah, Alice is sleeping over tonight, but she'll be going back home in the morning. Speaking of sleep, I should get some. Goodnight, Hoots.
Hoots: Night! (plays sleepy Sesame Street theme)

Snuffy: I think so.
Bry: Well, have a good bath, Snuffy!
Snuffy: Thanks, Bryan. See ya later!
Bry: Okay.
Snuffy: Well, here I am taking my bath. Taking baths can be fun, you know why? I'll tell ya.
(Sings) Oh, when I'm in my bubbly tub
A funny thing happens to me when I scrub
I splash and I wash and then it comes along
And soon I'm a'gigglin' and a'singin' this song

Oh a bubble on my snuffle
While I'm taking my bath
A bubble on my snuffle
Is making me laugh
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Ho, ho, he
A bubble on my snuffle
Is tickling me
I said, a bubble on my snuffle
Is tickling me

It's the silliest sight you've ever seen
When a snuffleupagus is gettin' clean
No bath is better, I suppose
Then when there's a bubble on the end of your nose!

Yeah, a bubble on my snuffle
While I'm taking my bath
A bubble on my snuffle
Is making me laugh
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Ho, ho, he
A bubble on my snuffle
Is tickling me
I said, a bubble on my snuffle
Is tickling me

(Laughs) Do-hohohoho!! Yeah!

Lisa: RARGH!
Rowlf: Uh-oh.
Lisa: I CAN'T find the word I WANT!
Rowlf: Well what word do you want?
Lisa: I don't know.
Rowlf: Well then how do you expect to find it?
Lisa: I expect that by flipping through this dictionary, one of the words will ring a bell, and be the one I'm looking for. But so far, it isn't working. And it is taking SO long... <groans>
Robin: Do you want us to help?
Lisa: I would love for you to help, but how can you?
Robin: Well... I don't know. What word are you looking for?
Lisa: Well I don't really know what the word is. That's the problem.
Robin: How can you look for it if you don't know what it is?
Lisa: Uh, well... Well, I know something about the word...
Gonzo: Tell us that. Maybe that'll help.
Lisa: ...Okay... It was on a spelling list I had in fourth grade the same week as the word "saunter." It's a synonym for sexy. It starts with a letter in the second half of the alphabet, possibly S or V. And we drew pictures to remember what the words meant that week, and I drew a lady in a red dress. Does that help?
Clifford: A lady in a red dress?
Lisa: Well, that's what I remember! It worked, didn't it? I know what the word means.
Rowlf: But you don't know the word.
Lisa: Exactly.
Rowlf: It didn't work.
Lisa: <Sigh.> I don't suppose any of you have any ideas as to what the word might be?
Chef: Sensooel?
Lisa: ...Maybe?
Chef: Sensoouoos?
Lisa: Perhaps?
Chef: Fulooptoouoos?
Lisa: Um...
Chef: Ettrecteefe-a?
Lisa: No.
Chef: Pretty?
Lisa: Nein.
Chef: Sooggesteefe-a?
Lisa: Lo.
Chef: Seleceeuoos?
Lisa: Pardon?
Chef: Seleceeuoos?
Lisa: I did not learn that in fourth grade. ...Actually, I just learned that today.
Clifford: ...How...?
Lisa: By looking through this dictionary! <Sigh!> I just can't find the right word! There's all sorts of other fun words... like... like "sozzled." I have never in my life heard the word "sozzled."
Rowlf: Sozzled?
Lisa: It apparently means "drunk." It's not the word I'm looking for.
Rowlf: No.
Lisa: Oy! You'd think I'd have a better way of finding this word.
Robin: How about a... A Thesuh... Thesusuh... Thes... The book that sounds like a dinosaur.
Lisa: Thesaurus?
Robin: Yeah. Why don't you try that?
Lisa: I already did.
Robin: Oh...
Lisa: It's a nice idea, though.

Rowlf: What?
Lisa: I made her squeal. You owe me a nickel.
Rowlf: Where does it say she squeals?
Lisa: Look at her post!
Rowlf: <looks at computer> It doesn't say she squeals.
Lisa: What do you call three captialized E's? I call that a squeal.
Rowlf: Well so do I, but it's not directly related to the line.
Lisa: Yes it is.
Rowlf: No it isn't.
Lisa: It so is! See, it's the first thing she typed. Thus it was her first reaction. The line is early in the chapter, she had to express her reaction right away.
Rowlf: But the way the paragraphs are separated-
Lisa: Nice try. I'm right and you know it. Now pay up.
Rowlf: Fine, lemme find a nickel...
Lisa: Thank you.

Clifford: Now what was that all about?
Rowlf: She bet me a nickel that she could make Sara squeal with Richard Hunt's line in her new chapter.
Clifford: A nickel?
Rowlf: She made the bet, not me. I just accepted it. You seen a nickel anywhere?
Clifford: Yeah, I think there's one on the floor in the common room.
Rowlf: Thanks.

Clifford: <reads post over Lisa's shoulder.> I don't think she was squealing at that specific line.
Lisa: I'm sure she squealed at that specific line.
Clifford: There's not much evidence for it in the post, though.
Lisa: Yeah, but it's not about the evidence, it's about who can argue it!
Clifford: You mean you know he's right, and you're taking the money anyway?
Lisa: It's just a nickel.
Clifford: That's another thing. Why would you bet a nickel?
Lisa: One word.
Clifford: Excuse me?
Lisa: <sings> TRADITIOOOOOON, TRADITION! ...TRA-DI-TION! TRADITIOOOOOON, TRADITION! ...TRA-DI-TION!
Clifford: All right, I get the point. And that was six words, by the way.
Lisa: Picky picky.
Robin: How did it start?
Lisa: Pardon?
Robin: The tradition. How did it start?
Lisa: <With a Yiddish accent> I'll tell you... I don't know. <Drops accent> Actually I do know. My aunt and uncle started it when they first got married. At the time, a nickel could actually buy you something. Apparently inflation didn't affect the bet, it just kind of stuck.
Rowlf: Well, here's the nickel.
Lisa: Thank you! <kisses Rowlf's nose.>
Clifford: Wait a second. Now he gets a kiss?
Lisa: He lost a bet.
Clifford: So lemme get this straight. The only way you'll kiss a guy is if he's cute, he crashes through the ceiling, or he loses a bet?
Lisa: Or he could be my dad, uncle, grandfather, or baby cousin.
Clifford: That ain't happening...
Lisa: Nope. All right, I'm heading to Everybody Eats for lunch. Anybody coming?
Robin: Ooh, me!
Gonzo: Me too!
Camilla: Buck bawk!
Chef: I'll cume-a und iet sume-a loonch tuu.

Prairie:Yeah...you look it.How was Olive Garden?
The food was good but I ate too much.I should've just ordered soup.My stomach was bugging me the rest of the time I was out with my mother,my friend,& her parents. It was my friend's mother's birthday.
Prairie:Sounds nice!
Yeah...except my friend was being a real crab today. All of us went to a few places after dinner & one of them was the mall. Since my feet were bugging me,I sat outside the bookstore while my friend went in. I saw a book called "Chicken Soup For The Father's & Daughter's Soul".So I told my friend that I wished that it had been around when my dad was alive. She told me that I should buy it for myself.I said no because I was afraid I'd be crying with some parts. She just rolled her eyes & made a clicking noise with her tongue.
Prairie:Oh Kath...I'm sorry.She shouldn't have done that.
That's not the only thing. We were supposed to meet her parents & my mom at a certain time & she's quicker than me on her feet.So between that & my feet hurting I was pretty slow.So she goes "Now you see why we don't go places together anymore!"
Prairie:That's awful of her to say that! Here....put up your feet & relax. I'll be right back.
Where are you going?
Prairie:Into my room to get my foot massaging cream. I'm going to rub it on your feet.

Well... Good to see Kim around again. If she's bored, she might want to go and read some of the wonderful tomes in our growing fanmade fictional library... Some I can recommend, though only a couple by my own pen... A few half-baked attempts, wouldn't want someone else getting invested into something that I'm not even completely confident of.
But more on that on the morrow... Sleep tight everybody.

Lisa: But I can't post part three. I have to post part one. I have to post chapter twenty six of part one. I can't just skip forward, it would throw the readers off terribly. Could you imagine, if I went from just meeting the Electric Mayhem in 1973, straight to 2009 with... Mm, how to say this without giving too much away... with Miss Piggy bawling her eyes out in the bathroom? It would be much too confusing.
Gonzo: Why is Piggy bawling her eyes out in the bathroom in 2009?
Lisa: Youuu think I'm going to tell you that? Not- on yourrrrr... life!
Gonzo: Well, it was worth a shot.
Lisa: No, not really.
Gonzo: Oh.
Lisa: But anyway... You don't mind that I'm just rambling, do you?
Gonzo: Not at all!
Rowlf: Nope.
Lisa: Oh good. Because I don't intend to stop. See there's SOOO many good scenes to write, and it's just so frustrating that I'm not at any of them, and I have to get through this stuff that I have no idea what to do with before I can get to any of the really fun stuff. Now why can't readers just sort of telepathically pick up stuff from my brain so I can skip it. That would make it sooo much easier. But they can't, so I have to show it all to them. Which means I have to write two more flirting scenes, at least. And that's really hard.
Rowlf: Why's that?
Lisa: Mm, because I don't flirt? I neeever flirt. I'm never around anyone I want to flirt with. And occasionally someone will tell me that I'm flirting, but I'm not really concious of it. I don't even realize that I'm flirting until they tell me so, it's not even intentional. So I, I really am not the right person to be writing these flirting scenes, but unfortunately I can't just delegate it, you know?
Gonzo: No.
Rowlf: I'll take your word for it.
Lisa: So I'm really just kind of stuck, see. That's why I just wanna get to 1975, because then I'm not stuck anymore! Then I know what I'm doing for just about the entire rest of the series. It's just this beginning stuff that's got me all tied in knots. I don't really know this stuff.
Rowlf: Well, you've been doing pretty well so far.
Lisa: Uh... I've been passing. But I'm really stuck on this one scene I'm in! I feel like I don't really know the characters. How do I introduce characters that I don't know?
Rowlf: You don't know them?
Lisa: Well, I know, I... yuhhhhhhhhh I dunno. I'm just really dissapointed in myself that I haven't made ANY headway at all since I posted today. I mean what the heck is that. I usually make such good progress on this kinda day...
Gonzo: Well judging by your slowness of speech, I'd say you need sleep.
Lisa: <nods> Prooobably. <Yawns> ...Prooobably. I just hope I can actually sleep tonight. And stay asleep. I'm so sick of waking up at six in the morning for no good reason. <stands, stretches, yawns> All right, guys. Good night.
Gonzo: Good night, Lisa.
Rowlf: Night.
Camilla: Buck-buck.
Lisa: You too. ...See ya tomorrow... <Sigh.>

Hey Lisa... Don't worry, I go through the same not-knowingness and multiple scenarios myself. Seems the flirting you had between Kermit and Miss Mousey was good enough, though you could always talk to Ruahnna if you need help with the flirty scenes. As for waking up that early, I've got that built into my own clock as well... Too much training by my dad, waking us up that early so we'd be ready to get to school on time, and it's stuck with me to this day.
If you need to talk behind the scenes about any problems with the story scenes, feel free to contact me privately. Hope I can help you out since your stories are the driving force behind the rest of ours getting finished and printed to add to our growing library here.

Emmet: (looks up from the book he was reading.) What? What is it?

Daughterdeadly: Today I graduated from Tudor Elementary School!!! So that makes me like, an official pre-seventh grader!

(Heh, isn't that a little strange... I'm a seventh grader writing about what I'm doing in my college dorms... wierd ain't it? Anyways...)

Emmet:Allright! Hey, is that why you didn't get back to the dorms till this late?

Daughterdeadly:Yeah, I went out to eat with some friends... It was pretty fun. But I'm so like, tired right now... I'm gonna crash... (she starts walking to her bed then spies a deck of cards on the table.) Actually, Emmet... how 'bout a game of cards first? Huh, How about it, eh?

Emmet:Um, sure... okay! That sounds swell!

Daughterdeadly:Allright! (she smiles and nodds her head slowely, then suddenly holds it in pain.) Ouch...

Emmet:What happened? Are you okay?

Daughterdeadly:Ummm... yeah, I'll tell you about it tommarrow, okay?

Bill: You are not getting downcast about your mother are you Martin? You haven't interacted with anyone else in the dorms for a long time. Do you realize Ally and Emmet sent us a thank you card for letting Emmet stay with us and you never acknowledged it?
Martin: Oh dear me. I should have been more polite. It's not that I'm fretting over my mummy Bill. Her condition is treatable. I just haven't been making my presence actively felt because the manager asked me to keep a bit of control over the expressing of my spiritual faith to keep things balanced among the dorms and I want to be a respectful resident.
Bill: Ah I understand friend. I feel exactly the same way. At least you have good news for your mother. How have your visits with her been going?
Martin: We're really enjoying our lunches together Bill and we've come over half-way through my Astroboy DVD collection.
Bill: She really enjoys those cartoons does she?
Martin: Yeah. The greatest action sci-fi series in all Japan. It's fun to watch that cute little robot-boy smash the enemy robots to pieces and defeat the villians controlling them. SMASH! BAM! HOORAY!
Bill: (laughing) You certainly have a lot to be thankful for haven't you? You're spending exciting times with your mummy and with kimotherapy and radium she should get on top of the cancer attacking her. But really you shouldn't have to keep such a low profile in the dorms should you?
Martin: Well Bill. I suppose not.
Bill: Think about it. I'm sure everybody will support you gladly and rejoice that your mother's condition looks so favourable.
Martin: Of course.
Bill: And many of them know about your personal faith but as long as we don't push it upon them they'll accept you as you are. Won't they?
Martin: You're right Bill. I shouldn't be such a silly-billy. And you are a smart-billy to point this out to me.
Bill: So you'll come out of this shell?
Martin: Yes I will. And I know the very first thing I must do as well.
Bill: And that is?
Martin: Go see Ally and Emmet and apologize and thank them for the Thank you card they gave you and I.
Bill: Attaboy Marty. Let's go.

Hey Lisa... Seems the flirting you had between Kermit and Miss Mousey was good enough, though you could always talk to Ruahnna if you need help with the flirty scenes.

LOL, Ed! Come on down, Lisa, if you need any flirting tips--I'm living with the Queen of Broken Hearts in room 20!

Have been AWOL for a couple of days, but I'm back now. Have been working furiously on next installment of Kermie's girl. Actually, that's not true. I've been working on writing the scenes from the Christmas show (and I am lovin' the music and the dancin' and, um, okay), which is after the next scene I need to post (which I haven't written) and I can totally sympathize with Lisa about how hard it is to both write sequentially (since stories don't often develop that way) and to do it IN FRONT OF PEOPLE! Eeek! Actually, when I first came to MC and saw all the fanfic written in segments I thought, "These folks are bonafied crazy." And here I am, one of the crazy people.

Oh--and I'm not sure how to broach the topic of a barbeque with my roomie--any suggestions, or should Piggy and I go out on a girls' night out?

Piggy: Well here's something that ought to lift your spirits. (Holds up a beautiful green satin robe.)
Catherine: Ooh! Piggy--it's beautiful! Thank you! Thank you, thank you!
Piggy: Do not thank Moi--they are house-warming, um, dorm-warming gifts from Count.
Catherine: Wow--for an undead guy, he's got fantastic instincts for gifts! This is so beautiful--we'll have to bake brownies or something.
Piggy: (holding it up and displaying it) Here is Moi's robe. Enchanting, is it not?
Catherine: (stroking the soft texture of her robe) Lovely--just lovely. (Looks at Piggy with sudden inspiration.) I am totally grubby after helping at field day today--If you don't have a date...
Piggy: Humpf!
Catherine: Well then, let's have a spa night, hm? We'll soak and exfoliate and paint our little piggies and be girly-girls tonight. (soto voce: And maybe I'll begin to feel human again.)
Piggy: I was hoping you'd ask. Let me gather a few things and we're off.

Kim: Only what, Gillis?
Gillis: ...what's a "barbeque"?
Kim: A barbeque is like a regular meal, only instead of cooking the food inside on the stove or in the oven, you cook it outside on a grill, over a fire. It's a lot of fun.
Boober: What kind of foods do you usually cook?
Kim: Chicken, hamburgers, pork chops, hot dogs-
Boober: You cook DOGS?!?
Kim: *sighs* No, they're not real dogs. They're just called hot dogs because they're long like one breed of dog is.
Tosh: Is that true?
Kim: Well, actually I think that last part is an urban legend. But hot dogs are not real dogs, nor are they made from any part of a real dog.
Betty Lou: Kim, you forgot the most important part!
Kim: What's that, Betty Lou?
Betty Lou: The s'mores!
Kim: Oh, right! But, I think I'll save those as a surprise at the cookout. Now, what do you think we should bring?
Fraggles: Doozer sticks!
Kim: *chuckles* Natch on that one. Let's see...I'll need to get s'mores ingredients from the store before the cookout. And iced tea. Can't have a cookout without iced tea.

I want to apologize for that. I have been neglecting a lot of people here lately.
Bill: You okay telling it all yourself Martin?
Martin: (takes a deep breath) Yes Bill. My mother has a lymphona in her face which is believed to be treatable and she is to start kimotherapy very soon.
I fear I have been laid back in my own corner. Mum and I are both positive about it and we have personal faith in God that whatever happens she will be in safe hands and I feared I would seem to be too spiritual in some people's eyes. But Bill showed me I shouldn't let it worry me like this and I can mix with the folk here and not have to appear that way at all.
And I'm so glad I've broken the ice by coming over to say this to you and Emmet.
Bill: That's right. He needs to have friends support at this time and only he can allow or prevent it to happen.

Scooter: Tons of artery-clogging mayonasie. >>

Sara: Yes. Mustard, mayo, potatoes, lots of dill and rosemary. And a good bit of celery. *Starts to work on the potato salad as well, as the Chocolate-Cherry muffins cook in the oven. The smell of them fill the entire dorms.*

Jim: Those muffins smell so great, Sara!

Jerry: Arn't they cupcakes though?

Sara: Well, they're both actually. The sweetness of a cupcake, but the consistancy of a muffin, which has just too much in it. XD Yeah, gooey, sticky sweet and very tasty. Can't wait for them to be done!

Thanks Herry and Cookie. Don't worry Bry... There's some shade outside so I think Hoots probably grabbed the bowl before anything spilled.
OK... My salad's done, it's got potatoes and mayo and hardboiled eggs, onions, peas, peppers, and apples. Made another batch with radishes, don't think I'll make a third though. Besides... They were used up for Sara's salad.
Count: 1 potato, 2 potato, 3 potato 4...
Mmm, that reminds me of the song Cinnamon.

We'll need some for this pecan pie I picked up at the market.

OK, meat's done marinating and the burgers are ready. Veggies washed and sliced to top off the burgers.
Come on guys, we're going outside to grill it all up. Oh hi Beth, just put the Mex dip on the table there.

All: The day the Muppeteer died.

Gonzo: Eight miles high and falling faaaaaast! Whoopie!

Rowlf: It landed there on the grass.
Where the players tried for a forward pass.
Floyd: But the jester on the sidelines was a gas.

Big Bird: At halftime there came some sweet perfume.
Hoots: The sergeants played a marching tune.
Bryan: We all got up to dance.
Ah, but we never got the chance.

Miss Piggy: The actors tried to take the field.
But the stupid musicians refused to yield.

Elmo and Zoe: So come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick.
Jack Flash sat on that candlestick.
Peter: Cause fire is the devil's only friend.

Scooter: And as I watched him on that stage.
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
Oscar: No angel born in heck.
Can save us from this awful wreck.

Gerald: The flames shot high into the night.
Rizzo: The moonlit sacrificial right.
Pepe: I heard Sayten laffing with delite hokay?
De day de Muppeteer died.

All: So bye, bye, Miss American Pie.
Drove my chevy to the levy, but the levy was dry.
Them good ol' boys drinkin' whiskey and rye...

*Music softens back to a tinkling melody.
Me: I saw a girl who was playing the blues.
So I asked her for some happy news.
Lisa: But she just smiled and turned away.

Cookie: So me went back to that sacred store.
Where me hear music and eat cookies so long ago.
Little Bird: But the men there said the music wouldn't play.

Rosita: At Sesame Street the children cried.
Mokey: The lovers screamed and the poets died.
Snuffy: But not a word was spoken.
Herry: The churchbells all were broken.

Kermit: And the man I admire most.
Caught the last train for the coast.
The father of this froggy host.
Me: The day the Muppeteer died.

Me, quietly: So bye, bye, Miss American Pie.
Drove my chevy to the levy, but the levy was dry.

Heh... That was good guys. Oh hi Sara, hope you enjoyed yourself at the BBQ, that cole slaw was great.
And if you liked the song we sang... There's another fan-made version at the Original Sesame Street Lyrics Archive called "When The Muppets Cried" expressing the same sort of sentiment.

But it's late now, and I can't think of a better way to finish... Than a slice of pecan pie with some vanilla ice cream on top. Now who wants some?

Martin: They sure were. I remember the version of it that he sang in his Jug-Band Christmas movie Bill. With his original partners. Harvey, Charlie and Wendell. They did a good job of recreating how it was sung in that film. Cookie Monster was an excellent substitute for Wendell.
Bill: Yeah. Aren't you glad we attended?

Yep... Gonna be an interesting summer. If Prawny comes back, then we'll have a small get-together t welcome him back and send off Lisa. If he isn't back, then I think Lisa should make some arrangements to have her and Ryan's roomies looked after.
Here's what I have so far in terms of the summer travels. Please, those of you who are mentioned confirm if tis is accurate.
Prairie will bunk with Bryan when she leaves on her 4, 4 fabulous trips this summer.
Scooter will come downstairs and stay with the Count, Uncle Deadly if he's still with us, and myself when Sara leaves for D.C.
Beth's offered to take in Robin, not sure if she'd also welcome Rowlf if Cantus is still with her as well.

Here are some added suggestions:
Kyle could look after Gonzo and Camilla, and maybe Clifford also if Lisa and Ryan are both gone. Contact him and please LMK.
The Swedish Chef can just take up residence in one of the common rooms, behind the kitchen counter... Or maybe Catherine might want to take him in as a temporary personal chef for herself and Piggy until Lisa gets back. Contact her and please LMK.
That is all for announcements fright now.

And she also has trouble walking, because she has arthtisc in her knees. Shes...overweight, like I am. >> So, combining not enough money, with bad knees, and a small dog in the mix....equals no trip to DC.

Jerry: That's too bad. Are you still going to go somewhere though?

Sara: Yeah, we're hoping to go to this little hotel down in Daytona, Florida...I think it's called Cabana Motel. It's on the beach, really beautiful sunsets and sunrises. It'll be nice. And I'll only be gone for a week. The second week in July. So it won't be too long!

Frank: Good deal, huh?

Sara: Oh yeah, really good deal. I won't get to see the exhibit....but I'll still have a fun time. Plus swimming in a pool will help my knee some. ;)

Scooter: *hugs gently* It'll be a nice vacation, won't it?

Sara: Definately. It will be pretty sweet. I just wish you guys could come along.

Scooter: I'll go with you!

Sara: Sure! I'll tell Ed, you're coming with me, Scooter. You guys wanna come too? *Looks up at the Trio.*

Jim: Naw, we'll just stay here. Keep the guys company. Plus 4 guests is too much ain't it?

Sara: *dosn't really want to say it, but she nods slowly.* Yeah...it is a little too much.

Scooter: Daytona Beach! Awesome!!

Sara: *Laughs, and is really happy again.*

Scooter: What's in Daytone Beach?

Sara: A lot of stuff, Scooter. You'll love it!

Bill Bubble Guy

Bill: Have you heard Martin that poor Sara has had to cancel her vacation at D.C.?
Martin: No kidding? How come?
Bill: Well among other reasons she has hurt her injured knee a teensy bit more in the ligaments and it's really hurting her to be on her feet for long periods.
Martin: That's a shame. No holiday. How disappointing.
Bill: Actually she does have a replacement holiday planned with her parents. A week at a beach hotel in Daytona Florida and Scooter has decided to join her.
Martin: That's great. Bill let's write her a please get well soon card and a bon voyage card combined into one. I think she and Scooter will really love that.
Bill: Sounds like a very nice idea. And when we deliver it we must let them all know about your mother recently getting back home from her tests in Brisbane City Queensland. Hopefully she will start her chemo soon here in Rockhampton. They'll all be pleased to know she is going to do fine.
Martin: Oh yes. Where's my wand? I bought us some more bubble liquid at the shops yesterday Bill. Have a big drink. We need to cheerfully celebrate that and let's write this card and go see Sara and her friends.

They compose the card and go knock on Sara's door to deliver it.

ReneeLouvier
06-17-2006, 07:38 AM
Sara: *hobbles over to the door, opening it.* Hey guys! Oh...a card? Thank you so much! Well, the trip has also been changed...once again.

Scooter: *sitting at the computer, looking at the details for Hurl Rock Motel.* The Cabana Motel is apperently no more.

Jim: *tuning up his banjo* It closed down?

Sara: *goes back to sit on the bed, and invites Bill and Martin to sit in the two chairs at the desk.* It isn't just closed down, Jim. It's completely gone. Apperently a few years back, either due to hurricanes or merely because of real estate, they tore down about 85 small hotels along the beach shores. So...we're going to Myrtle Beach.

Scooter: That's still a good trip, isn't it?

Sara: Oh yeah. And it'll be cooler, Scoot; cause we know everything about Myrtle Beach. We can go to all the best places, and not spend time trying to find them! It's really great.

Jerry: It still isn't DC though.

Scooter: Yeah, Jerry. It isn't DC. But it'll be nice.

Sara: It'll be really nice. Really great actually. Plus...we can go to Broadway on the Beach...go to the Discovery Store....and buy Mythbusters Season 2!!!! And guess what? In Season 2....they blow up the concrete truck. YES!!!

Scooter: Yeah!!!

Bill Bubble Guy
06-17-2006, 07:49 AM
Martin: Well we're glad you're actually going somewhere Sara.
Bill: And we sincerely hope that this trip works out this time.
Martin: Yes. Bon voyage and good luck Sara and Scooter.
Incidentally we have good news to share with you all regarding my mother.
She took a day trip to Brisbane in Australia to have more tests and they went well. So she should start getting her chemo treatment hopefully in her own home city to make things a little easier.
Bill: And she will be okay.
Martin: You don't mind if we blow a few little bubbles to celebrate do you?
Bill: We're sure you don't.

The two of them blow big beautiful bubbles to everyone's amusement.

Hmmm, things sure have been slow here today.
UD: What about posting more story?
Would, but I'm waiting to hear from Sara to see if she can help with what I asked for the next chapter.
Count: Then vhat have you been doing?
Going through the ML, searching for the stuff I want to ask KermieClown. Almost finished though.
BTW: Uncle Deadly, heard Ryan's roaming the halls, but he's not fully back yet.
*UD glides off to find Ryan and give him a big hug before coming back to our room.

What in the world was that? *running to the living room* Oh no..Gonzo.

Gonzo: Here I am in the flesh.

We just had that fixed. You not have made another hole in the door.

Clifford: Hey guys. Can w....uh oh? Did Gonzo make another hole in the door?

Yep.

Clifford: I've told him to stop but does he listen.

Camilla: Bawk!

Clifford: What was that?

Gonzo: She agrees with you. Sorry Kyle.

Thats fine. Just watch it next time.

Since Grover and Herry are working. Lets all go to the Zoo.

Clifford: I'll go wake the monster up.

Ok. I'll get the picnic basket ready.

*A creature's yellow eyes are seen behind Ryan and dart toward him*

AH!

Uncle Deadly *hugging Ryan*: Hello old friend.

Uncle D., darn I should've known I couldn't hide from you.

UD: Yes, you should've. So are you finally coming home from your extended journey away?

I'm afraid not Uncle D. But...I'm really trying this time I promise, I know I've been giving lots of false dates...But this time I promise. Soon.

UD: *nods* What should I tell the others?

Nothing...I know Gonzo's mad enough already...I'm dead when I get home aren't I?

UD: *chuckles* I suppose you might be. But it's not that bad my fiend. Except for not being able to eat lasagna on the third Wednesday in March...That always gets to me.

I know I know, I haven't forgotten about you guys! I love you, and I miss you. *hugs Uncle D.* I'll see you soon alright?

*Uncle D. nods as Ryan dissapears into the shadows once more*

Telly: (waking up) *sniff sniff* What's that smell?
Rosita: Smells delicious!
Bry: (sitting up in bed and notices Prairie Dawn in the kitchen) Prairie?
Prairie: Good morning! Who wants breakfast?
Bry: Be careful.
Prairie: Oh I’m fine. This is easy cooking.
Big Bird: What are you making?
Prairie: Letter of the Day pancakes.
Snuffy: What is a Letter of the Day pancake?
Prairie: It is a pancake with the Letter of the Day spelled out in chocolate chips on the top. See?
Telly: Hey, it's the letter L!
Big Bird: Be careful. The Cookie Monster is just down the hall.
Prairie: Oh, I took that into consideration. I made his own plate. (giggles) Teeheehee
Bry: You really didn’t have to do this.
Prairie: It’s okay. I like it, and you were all so nice to let me stay here!
Rosita: Do you cook a lot for Kathy?
Prairie: Sometimes. Especially when she isn’t feeling well. Here’s a special poppy seed one for you, Big Bird.
Big Bird: Wow, thanks.
Prairie: You’re welcome.
Telly: Oh oh oh, Prairie! Can I have a triangle shaped one!
Prairie: A triangle shaped? Oh dear...I'll see what I can do.

Sara: Well, it ain't Daytona Beach. But finally.....Hurl Rock Motel in Myrtle Beach, is great isn't it?

Scooter: Yeah, we've got a two room, huh?

Sara: Yep. Mom was balking at $84 a night, for a very nice, two room effeciency...until I showed her some of the other prices.

Jim: Get's really expensive dosn't it?

Sara: That's not the half of it. The sad part is, we're going to have to board my little chihauha, Bridget. So...she's not going to be with us.

Frank: She'll be fine.

Sara: She'll be fine? I really hope she is...she's skittish, has seizures....she's overweight. She's the sweetest little thing, and dosn't even bark. She's not a normal chi. But they said she'll probably get a whole run to herself, so she'll be alone, and in her little baby pen. Which'll be great for her.

Jerry: Baby pen?

Sara: Yeah. One of those old, soft-sided baby pens. We keep her in there. With her water, her dog bed, and her blanket. It's her own little home. And she can see what we're doing through the mesh as well. But she is usually in one of our laps most times. I really do hope she'll be alright though...

Scooter: She should be fine, Sara. Good thing is, you know Myrtle Beach too, don't you?

Sara: Definately. We've been going there for nearly....4 years now? Maybe 5 years? I know it like the back of my hand! It's a great place. So....Myrtle Beach in two weeks!

Cantus: Yes, and we are here to recover our three remaining room mates.

Me: Nice to see you too Gonzo.

Gonzo: NOW WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?! I waited months for you to come back so I could show you my new act! But no! You didn't! Lisa kept giving dates, "the 15th," "the 17th," But you weren't there! I had to go through so much rubber cement to rehearse the act on the 15th, and you didn't even show up!

Camilla: Baguck babawk!

Gonzo: Yeah! And Camilla was almost deep fried in secret spices and served with a side of fries!

Me: Gonzo...Camilla...Everyone...I'm sorry I was gone so long...I couldn't come back...Surely Lisa and Ed and Beth told you all that didn't they? It's just hard to explain. But one thing that isn't hard to explain...Is that I missed you guys! *gives one big group hug* Please forgive me.

Clifford: Aw man, we could never stay mad at you. You took us into your room! Let us live here with ya!

Cantus: And play our music!

UD: And speak of death!

Camilla: Bagawk!

Gonzo: And perform a stunt such as mounting a plank of wood atop a cereal box and dancing the tango on top while cooking a banna cream pie and singing "O Canada!"

Me: Man I've missed you guys! Now, how bout I get unpacked, we go for a swim, and then we all go out for pizza on me!

Gonzo: Oh, we don't have to go out! *goes to fridge and takes out pizza and throws it at Ryan* There! Now we have pizza on you!

Why am I so subject to whims?

L: <shug> You're a push over...

Pretty much...I've only written one chapter of the fantasy story I'm writing and now I'm thinking of writing Mairin's story...I blame Kyle...

L: Oh?

I mean, not in a "it's all your fault I'm in trouble" kind of way. More like a "you put this idea in my head" kind of way...It's all because he said he was going to be writing a Vic/Kyle origin story...It got me to thinking...

L: So...you don't want to write it?

No, no, I do...I've been thinking for awhile that I should explain Mairin's past...I mean all we know about the girl is that she came back from "college" when she got a note saying Kyle was in trouble, she likes Jack, she lights matches to watch them burn when bored, she enjoys doing dangerous things, and she has had experience in criminal activies (i.e. she carries around a device that can immediately open any lock and knows how to hotwire a car)...we don't even know what she looks like...

L: I see...Hey isn't it your Birthday tomorrow!

Yeah...

L: Let's throw a party!

Can't...I have to run our yard sale from 9 to 5...

L: Bummer...

Totally...

Sorry bout that Nyssa. Just that the age line in the header of your posts said 17, so I thought you'd be 18. Oh well, no worries. Guess that means it was a figure of Elmo wit the 1 and Snuffy with the 7.
Hope you have a great B-Day anyway, at least a nice party in the evening.

Big Bird: (Snoring) Qua qua qua qua...
Rosita: Zzzzzzzz...
Telly: Zzzzzzz...
Bry: Well, I'm glad Prairie had a good time. It was nice having her visit. I feel bad that I wasn't really able to spend more time with them the last couple days. I suddenly got really busy yesterday with stuff and didn't have much time.
Hoots: Hey, it's cool. Seemed like she enjoyed the company of our roomies here. Hey, did you hear Ryan's back?
Bry: You sure? I've heard that before.
Hoots: Hehehe! No, he's back for real this time.
Bry: Well, it's about time. I've missed the guy a lot, but not nearly as much as his own roomies I'm sure.
Hoots: I don't remember the last time I've seen Gonzo so excited.
Bry: Yeah. I think I'm gonna go to bed now. I'm beat. Would you do me a favor, Hoots?
Hoots: What's up?
Bry: It's Nyssa's birthday. Would you take this to her room? (hands Hoots a birthday card with a box of Fraggle candies.)
Hoots: No problem.
Bry: Thanks. Goodnight.
Hoots: (flies off to make his delivery)

Beth: All right did everyone sign the card for Nyssa's birthday?
*everyone choruses yes*
Robin: Mokey and I made her a picture!
Beth: That's wonderful!
Red: I can bring the card and picture to her
Rowlf: Don't forget the cookies
Red: I won't, I just didn't want a certain someone to hear me
Mokey: Don't worry, I haven't seen him up and about today

Catherine: (bustling into room with two knapsacks, and multiple boxes and bags) Piggy? I'm back! (Stops, looks around room in dismay. It is, well, rather untidy, with clothing and shopping bags strewn about the room. There is a definite odor of burnt popcorn coming from the kitchen, and there are several plates, an empty ice cream carton and about six mostly empty glasses sitting on the coffee table, along with several glossy magazines.) Piggy? (Goes to her room and sets the boxes, bags and knapsacks on her bed. Comes back out and begins to pick up clothing in a laundry basket. Carries the dishes back to the kitchen and runs a sink of hot, soapy water. Sighs. Wishes she could get in the sink of hot, soapy water, but gets a warm, soapy sponge and wipes out the microwave instead. Starts a teapot boiling. While the dishes are soaking, she begins to gather the boxes and shopping bags. The bedroom door opens and Piggy emerges wearing her robe, looking tousled and rested.)
Piggy: Oh--hello! You are back! I thought I heard someone. (She eyes Catherine's disheveled appearance.) Did you have a nice time, um, wherever you went?
Catherine: Yes, actually. My family reunion last weekend was fun, and camp was great, too. (Eyeing Piggy sternly.) This place looks as though you were having a bit of a vacation, too. Did you go shopping every day while I was out?
Piggy: (Rushing forward and giving two enthusiastic kissy-kissy kisses on Catherine's cheeks, an obvious ploy to avoid the question) Welcome home, roomie!
Catherine: Piggy--
Piggy: Are you going to bake something now?
(There is a moment when they look at each other, one not-so-innocently hopeful, the other trying hard not to be amused.)
Catherine: (sighing) Yes--I guess I could manage to cook something. Pull up a chair at the table and visit with me while I do the dishes.
Piggy: Oh--the dishes. Didn't I put my teacup away this morning?
Catherine: (giving Piggy a look) No. (She rummages around in the cabinet over the stoves, peeks in the fridge. In a moment, she is boiling pasta and steaming some frozen vegetables.)
Piggy: (accepting a cup of tea and stirring in sugar and cream) So you went to camp. I didn't know they had camp for grown-ups.
Catherine: This wasn't a camp for grownups. Piggy, I told you what I was going to be doing.
Piggy: Well, um, tell me again. (little laugh) You're such a fascinating story-teller. (flutters lashes)
Catherine: (not buying it) I spent the last week with about eighteen kids every day. We went hiking and to archery and played sports and made crafts.
Piggy: (clearly horrified) And you finally escaped?
Catherine: (laughing at last) No, Piggy. I didn't escape. Camp was over yesterday and I came home.
Piggy: (in a conspiratorial growl) Why did you have to go? Were you doing community service or something?
Catherine: No, silly. I did it because I enjoyed the children and because I think every kid ought to have a chance to go to camp.
Piggy: Did they pay you?
Catherine: (rinsing pasta in cold water and mixing it with Italian dressing and the veggies) I got this t-shirt.
(They stare at each other.)
Piggy: I will never understand you.
Catherine: (putting a steaming plate of pasta salad in front of Piggy) But you love me anyway.
Piggy: (lets out a little squeak of pleasure at the sight of food) Yes--roomie. I love you anyway.

Well... Always nice to see/hear people come back to their home here at the dorms. Wonder if more of that story will get posted. Got a bit of my own, but since I've posted so much, think I'll wait till Monday to update.

That, and I'd like to see if I find a talented-enough artist/drawer as advertised in that thread over in FanFic & FanArt. *Slight sigh*
Oh well, on with the weekend I guess.

Robin: Kill the dorms??? *looks worried*
Red: Don't worry Robin, Nyssa was worried because no one seems to be around tonight
Robin: Oh good! I was worried, I like it here, I wouldn't want it to die out!
Rowlf: Don't worry little man, I think everyone's just busy tonight
Mokey: Yeah, it is a weekend and all

*Laughs a little. Yeah, just cause noone's posting in a while, dodn't mean it's dead. Heck, if it were, you'd think Uncle Deadly and my roomie here would like it better.
No, it might close down at the anniversary... But we've got the summer before then. Hope you guys and ghouls have a good night's sleep.
