Rosita: Well, what about Hoots? He's so nice and I love his saxaphone playing!
Big Bird: Hoots is an owl, Rosita. And because he is an owl he is mostly only awake during the night time when I go to sleep.
Bry: Sam the Eagle lives here.
Big Bird: Yeah, I know. I tried talking to him once, but all he talks about is the Alamo and "in-peach-mints," and other big words I don't understand. I dunno about you guys, but he's kind of a weirdo if you ask me.
Rosita: Big Bird's right. One time, I saw him in the lounge and he insisted he read to me Barbara Bush's new biography. I love Barbara, but I'd rather read exciting things like Cinderella!
Big Bird: You see?
Bry: I can relate, Big Bird. I am still waiting for my Muppet Penguins to come in the mail.
Big Bird: I don't want plastic friends.
Oscar: (from down the hall overhearing) The Bird got ya this time! He he he he!
Bry: You're right, Big Bird. I was just trying to lighten the mood. Give it time, Big Bird. I am sure they are just busy over there. Why don't you get some sleep and you can try again in the morning.
Big Bird: Can't tomorrow. Me and Snuffy are playing again. Hey did you ever talk to Ed about Snuffy moving in?
Bry: I sure did. We are gonna try and talk to Biff and Sully about building an addition to the room for him.

(Okay FINALLY!!! The robes... sorry that it took me so long before I pulled myself together!.... :o ):

For the Newsman:
The robe is made of the brown checked material that adorns his regular apearence jacket. A bright reflective yellow word, "NEWS" is flashed across the back of his robe, and his right sleve the words, "Whatever I say..." and on teh left, "...I'm going to get hurt."

And for Lewis Kazagger:
The robe for Lewis Kazagger has the stiped and squared colorfull appearence of his regular jacket. Sporting the words, "I <3 Sport" on the back, and decorated across teh sleves with baseballs, footballs, tennis rackets, and such, al with the occasional muppet sport such as a vegetable from "Vege-Table Tennis"

And finally, a dane that has only been taught english for about 7 years couldn't possibly have done these descriptions without Beau's help. So thank you Beau. :)

So long as you or your roommates are the ones responsible for your puppy, then it'd be OK. There are lots of us here with our own pets at the dorms. Guess it goes with being all-inclusive to admit all types of Muppets.

Bo the tailer eh? So you're the guy going around tailing everybody. I've been getting some complaints about you. Have half a mind to call Mr. Moppet the campus policeman on you. Then again, he's kind of a Keystone Cop if you know what I mean.

Just a few jokes there. Looking forward to Vibs's own robe, only got the ones for her roommates.

ARGH! Darn book!

I was enjoying it. Past-tense. I'm not anymore.

Rowlf: Well what changed?

Well, everything was all nice and exciting, and then here we are almost at the climax, and now it's as slow as molasses in January! They could have gotten this guy out three chapters ago AT LEAST. But nooooooooo, they have to make it all complicated and hard on themselves just so they can feel like it's exciting. Because helping a slave run away wasn't exciting enough for them. Oy!

I'm on chapter 39. And there's 42. And then there's "Chapter the Last." And then there's this whole other part that he wrote and then didn't put in the book, and it's there anyway. And I have to read the whole introduction, which I skipped, but I have to read it to help with these questions, which of course want me to compare the book to the author's life. And I get to do all that, and clean the house, in about two and a half days. And then I get to kiss my summer goodbye. And I can't focus on anything because I'm itching to write more of "Summer in the Theater." <sigh>. <picks book back up and tries to read some more.>

*Sigh. Know how you feel Lisa.
Started rechecking the ML, got the first four letters done, about a quarter of the way with 965 entries. Got the rest of the alphabet to go.
And of course, I also have to work on my counting castle guys and ghouls... Got two of them done, almost finished with a third if it wasn't for rechecking the list.
Got classes and errands connected with that starting this Thursday, 8/11.

Well... Not sure if I'll make it to Beth's BBQ at the pool... Cause I got some robes to make also.
Maybe I'll have time to make some chocolate chip brownies and send you some later tonight.

Seems like Lisa won't be here till much later. Oh well, glad she liked the brownies. Glad you liked 'em too D. They're made to be brownies, but made out of chocolate chip cookie dough. Basically, you make the cookie dough, and fit it into a square pan instead of cutting cookies out of it. My mom makes 'em great, with a couple of surprises like adding a pinch of coffee to the chocolate mix.

Well... Finished the list check up to the K's, and I'm halfway done with 1836 entries so far. Another 1800 to go.
Think I'll have some grub and wash up for a bit of a rest before getting back on the saddle.

Oh, and for those of you looking for numerical connections in your posts...

Well, one more week before school starts.

But at least I won't be bored, right? WRONG!
My first class of the day is Chemistry, ewwwwwwww!
My second class is gym, double ewwwwww!
But on the up side, according to my brother I have the coolest Government teacher ever, Mr.Hanlon. My brother had him when he took Gov. and he said that his is a hard teacher, but he makes boring Gov. fun.
But, on the down side, my locker is in the Fine Arts wing. I'm not taking any Fine Arts! And it's totally far away from all my classes, damnable school. How I hate you SO MUCH!
Anyway, how are all you guys?

Heh. Not so much a camping trip as just "camp." I wish it was real camping, with a tent and no bathroom and no shower and "oh, jeans count as shabbat clothes, sure!" But instead, it's cabins, and cold showers, and hot drinking fountains, and "skirts must be finger-tip length at least, and ladies, you can't wear pants durring shabbat services! Only during your free time" and most of my friends who usually go aren't going this year. Still, enjoyable, if only because we get to bang on the tables and sing at the top of our lungs. And don't you worry, Nyssa, I'll be right there with you on the first day of school. I get home about an hour and half before it starts, and thank goodness it's a late start day, or I'd miss my one chance to talk to the teacher about this stupid summer reading assignment.

Chef: Speekeeng ooff zee soommer reedeeng esseegnment, hoo's thet gueeng? Is it dune-a yet?

No, not done yet. It's being annoying, and for some reason I'm not figuring some of these questions out at all. I'll probably work on it a little more today, but right now, I need to pack.

Yes. Trust me, I've been going for a few years. Sometimes it's roasting, sometimes you spend the entire week in a sweatshirt. One year, before I started going, it even snowed.

Yes, snow in August. It's called Northern Wisconsin climate. I won't know exactly what the weather will be like until I get there. Although I'm willing to bet that first thing in the morning I won't want to get out of bed. It'll be freezing cold then. But, oh well. Let's see, what else do I need... winter coat, bedsheet, sleeping bag...

Rowlf: Wanna just look at the list?

Nah, lemme see how much I can remember on my own first... pants are still in the dryer... toiletries I still need... oh, siddur and tallit. Which siddur should I bring, guys?

It's a prayer book. I have three copies of the one we use. Should I bring hardcover, OA, or CHUSY?

Didn't go out to the stores today, got other things on my mind what with sorting my online dealings and getting ready for the new term.
But I finished setting up my S10 Muppets figures.

From left to right: MTI Gonzo with his sword raised high, and MTI Rizzo below him. Space left open for FSL Kermit and Blue Frog Scout. FSL Kermit with Green Frog Scout (Norman Frog) in front holding the fishing rod in his left hand, the baby eggplant's next to them. The Ghost in the center, Uncle Deadly holding Yorick next in line. And then... RC Kermit with Robin in front and all three veggies standing next to the little log-stompin' frog. The Penguins are side by side as the last item in the group.
Rully hoping for Sal Manilla to get released to complete the series and line.

Yeah... It's gonna be a bit hectic. What with getting the books for my classes and going through the same old song and dance in finding readers for the semester. Oh well... Been doing this for 9 years now, why should this time be any different.
BTW: I'll be leaving for my cousin's wedding tomorrow afternoon. Not rully my cousin, just part of the extended family.

JS: Alright, here's a new golf shirt, a model spaceship kit, that "Aladdin" DVD I got on sale...

PN:... some Erlenmeyer flasks, a hamburger press, a few candy bars...

MS:... a new mallet for my Muppaphones, an alarm clock, a poster of Dizzy Gillespie...

TA:... a universal remote, a Jimi Hendrix shirt, that new Alton Brown book...

All:... and a partridge in a pear tree!

TA: Boy, we bought some stuff down in... um, Marvin, where was it?

MS: I donta sink you want to know.

PN: Oh, alright. I've got to get a shower. (He heads into the bathroom.)

JS: Fair enough. I think I'll get to building this model spaceship. Maybe I'll finish that Monkeemobile I started before we left.

JS: Oh ya, that'd be great! (They head off into another room, carrying the model spaceship box, a hot glue gun, a box of painting equipment and some contact cement.)

Rowlf: We noticed. You sort of fell asleep in the middle of the floor about three hours ago.

Lisa: Well, what happened is that the buses that were supposed to bring us back from camp were five hours late. We got to freeze our butts off in our cabins without our sleeping bags and try to sleep while we waited. Then at six thirty we FINALLY got onto the bus. A couple hours later, it was eighty something degrees outside, and we found out that the air conditioning on the bus we were on didn't work. So it's been a fairly miserable twenty-four hours.

Rowlf: Ooh. That's rough. So you missed the first day of school?

Lisa: Yeah. Oh that reminds me, I need to pretend to know what I'm doing for the rest of the summer reading assignment and finish it. Too bad I didn't get to talk to the teacher about it, but... I'll e-mail him. So... interesting way to start the year.

Well...I called Best Buy around 9:30 thinking they were open. They weren't until 10.So then I called around 10:03. Got the same message about them not being open til 10. I waited another 20 minutes before calling again.Finally got an answer & asked about the Muppet Show Season 1 DVD. I was asked to hold on. Prairie...3 people asked me to hold on. :rolleyes:

Nope. So when I finally talked to someone they said they didn't have it in stock & to check back tomorrow!
Prairie:WHAT? Sheesh!
Yeah...now I know how Kermit felt when he was looking for that "Kermit The Frog" T shirt & the salesman was showing him the wrong ones until he was told that the shirt wouldn't be ready til Wednesday! I talked to my sister a few minutes ago & she went to Wal-Mart to see if the MS DVD is there.

Thanks Beth. Got that one leading off VCD TMS5. And I got Grover's message last night... You might notice the streamers hung around the place, especially in the Floor 2's Common Room. Course, there's a designated space around Oscar's can for all the shredded wrapping paper after he opens the gifts. Thought Oscar might... Like that?
Oh well... Got him a nice surprise here wrapped with our black bat paper. Called the Chef, and he's busy in Lisa's room baking the cake.

Oh, and if you see Bo or Vibs, please tell 'em about their missing robe design ideas. Would like it if they handed those in, wouldn't want Bobo or Vibs herself to miss out on the anniversary festivities.

Oh, and you might want to wait till the anniversary to find out all the people and Muppets who'll definitely still be here at the beginning of the dorms' 2nd year, after I post the updated house chart on the anniversary.

Nice idea... Just hold up till you have all the players is all I'm advising.
And as for Snuffy... Could send you what I have for Thog's robe since he's a big fellow too. Then again... Just send the design for a robe Snuffy's size. After all, he'd wear one after taking a bath wouldn't he?

Well...

1 As for the construction, so long as there are no Fraggles around to eat up the Doozersticks, they should practically keep on working till the job gets done.
2 Seen Snuffy wear a towel over his main body in the NYC Marathon episode, and I have a PVC figurine of him wearing a blueish towel too.
3 Then again, we could tailor a robe to fit around just the front half of his body... With a collar big enough for his head, and two sleeves fitting his front legs.
Just some thoughts, will be in the room if you need me.

Hi InfinitySerious. Unfortunately, Boober Fraggle is currently listed as rooming with the forum member known as Doctor Teeth in Room #35 at the moment. However, he might become available as a roommate again after the anniversary if Doctor Teeth doesn't contact me by then.
Will probably finish up the F's of the list before going to sleep, and the robe/roommate stuff will be taken care of tomorrow morn. Good night everyone.

Hey guys. Yeah, everything's all fright Ryan.
The anniversary's on the 10th of September Bryan. Falls on a Saturday, so the dorm's in party mode then.
Will have a celebration banquet and the presentation of the robes and second surprise for Senior Members. There might be some other plans as well, not sure what some of the dorm's residents might have planned.

OK... All of Bryan's roommates have thier robes ready, as do theprawncracker and all of his. So that makes it 19 out of 33 occupied rooms whose members have confirmed they'll be staying and have their robes ready for the anniversary. Only Bobo, Vibs, and T-Bird Chick and Scooter remain. And all the others who still haven't contacted me. They have till the anniversary date. If not, then more Muppets and rooms will become available.

Hope to hear from those last group of holdouts soon.

Well, I am happy to say that Biff, Sully and the Doozers have officially finished building the new addition to our room (on the very end of the halls wing) which will (starting tomorrow Friday August 26, 2005) be Mr. Snuffleupagus' new home at the dorms. We will be having a party welcoming Snuffy to our dorm family later in the day. The room description will also be revealed then. All are invited. Well... I'm glad to say that now 21 out of the 33 groups of occupants here at the dorms have reported their wishes to remain and have all their robes finished.
Of the people who've expressed they want to stay, T-Bird Chick and Scooter; and Ernie101 and Sweetums still need to send in their robe ideas.
And Ernie101 should LMK if he does plan to stay here and participate, if only occasionally.

As for the remaining dorm residents, failure to contact me by 9/10/2005 will be interpreted as a lack of interest in continued participation, and their roommates and rooms will become available once again.
Hope to hear from T-Bird Chick and/or Ernie101 soon and have a good day.

Hmmm... Wonder how the cheerleading tryouts are going. I'm sure Red will tell us, besides decisions won't be posted till tomorrow anyway.

Oh, and for those of you who're interested... See this display on the lobby's desk? Well... You might notice a faded 10 and the remaining nine numbers lit up. That's cause there's only 9 days left till the anniversary and another number will fade each day as we get closer to the big party.

I know you were just talking about being finished making robes, but could you please make two for Lou and I? I am truly vary sorry for this; things just have been kind of complicated this summer, and I kind of lost touch with a lot of people and things.
I was also looking for some fashion advice, if anyone can give it. I know I want a robe with with a large rainbow on the front, but I don't know what color to make the background. If anyone has a good idea for that, I would be greatful, as I have spent a long time thinking about it.
Lou told me that she would like a green robe, with large raddishes, eggplants, and turnups on it. She says they remind her of home and the Gorgs' garden.

I'm so glad to see you here round the dorms again. Since you just posted that you wanted to stay here, with Lou Fraggle as your roommate, then you made it in on time. As for the robes, when I said I was finished making them, I meant that I finished making the ones for all the dorm residents who've expressed interest in remaining. Can always make yours and will get 'em in with the rest. Would recommend some sort of gray background for the rainbow to rully shine on the front of yours, maybe some raindrops or flowers as added details. LMK at your earliest convenience what you think or if I should go ahead and come up with something based on that central idea. Sorry that you've had problems during the summer, but I rully hope you're able to resolve them. And hope to see you at the party next Saturday.

Yeah... Got a lot done so far, even if it doesn't seem like that much.
Watched my morning shows, stored a few MOC figures in the ol' closet, and finished another round of photos with my brother. Think I'll have some breakfast/lunch next before moving on to the S-file for the list.
Oh and thanks D for the song... Rully groovy to hear it sung by the maestro of melodic merriment. For the anniversary party, will let folks know if I need help with the stuff.

My My, I'm certainly hard to pin down, aren't I? But you're almost just as dificult. *smile*
I came back from my weekend a long time ago, but I was purposely waiting to answer you until you were here, because although it is no one's fault, I must say that I dislike playing virtual tag. Please don't take offense to that; as I sead before, it is no one's fault. Anyway, the design you picked out is perfect; I suspected grey was just the color I needed.
As for me, as before, I do not know how often I will be around, because I have a rather unpredictable family, as well as having just restarted classes. UnliI will, however, make every effert to be here as much as I can; this place is so great!
One more thing, Count, would you mind posting an updated list of the newly available roommates. Then again, you might want to wait 'till after the celebration, as I may be taking on another roomate then.

1 Kate, glad to hear from you. If you can't contact me directly by posting here given our different time schedules, then feel free to send me a message via PM or E-mail. You can do so by clicking the appropirate links in a member's profile page.
2 The list of who's still boarding with whom and what characters are available once again won't get posted till next Saturday. Want to give the others who haven't contacted me a chance to do so before measures are taken.
3 So long as you keep up with the action and post when you get the chance to do so, you'll be fine here Kate.
4 Don't forget, we're hoping for the start of SS Season 36 early tomorrow.

Oh yeah, lots of luck with Muppet Survivor Bry. Have too many memories of the version we did over at the Palisades forum.

Oh it went fine enough... Just that we got a bit carried away with the escapades when posting through the days which added to the craziness... And I stupidly blurted out Animal as one of my fave Muppet characters of all time when he was the only one left of "my guys" left in contention.

Bry: (looking at the Sesame Street schedule for the week) Cool! It looks like they will start showing new episodes from season 36 and the hurricane episode series. I should set up the Tivo. Big Bird will want to see that again I'm sure. He has been a little worried about the folks down on the Gulf Coast, as am I. Maybe these episodes will restore his faith. It is only 2:15 am, but why does it feel later? I hope the Muppet Survivor game goes well. I'm a little nervous about it.
Rosita: I'm sure it will be fine.
Bry: Rosita? What are you doing up?
Rosita: I couldn't sleep. The question is, who were you talking to?
Bry: Oh, no one. I guess I was just talking to myself.
Rosita: Are you feeling alright?

Hey guys, feeling a bit better now. Just stepped out of the bat-room after a good shower, dressed for staying at home today, and saw that there are only five lighted numbers at the desk. Well, I have class in about an hour, and my mom spent most of the night at the hospital with my aunt, so they woke me up coming in.

Yes, they're fine, but my uncle was in a motorcycle accident.

He should be. It doesn't seem to be anything life-threatening.
