*Waking up rather stubbornly. Oh man, I knew I shouldn't have mixed carrot juice with rutabega juice.
Count: But you don't even drink those two juices.

*Laughing... I know, was a Bugs Bunny reference.
Count: Oh OK, did you hear that?

Yeah, must be new dormers upstairs. Be fright back.

*Arriving at lobby on Floor 2... Oh hello, who's here?
Ah Harvey and Johnny and Sal... Oh! Big Bird! And Rosita and Bear (MC). Hmmm? Oh, OK, sorry bout that Bryan.

You guys want a room? Thought you'd be moving in with Snuffy into one of the second floor rooms... But just LMK which room you want and I'll get you the key. Hope you guys slept well here in the lobby chairs and sofas last night.

*And you get extra points Bryan for having Rosita point out correctly there's no Room #60 after looking at the map of the house.

Bry: Shh...don't bring up Snuffy right now. I'll explain later.

Big Bird: Actually, sir, I slept in my NEST. (steps aside and points to huge nest in the corner that he was just blocking from view.)
Bry: Yeah, I hope that's okay. We got here after hours I guess and we wanted to check in, but we didn't know which room was available to us. So we got a bit confused and in the meantime camped out here in the lobby.

Bry: So, Ed, which room are we in? Your call. What's available?

Red:Hi Kathy! Want to come to the pool with us?
Thanks for the invite Red,but my dad went to the hospital today for another surgery .I'm waiting to hear the outcome from my mom & sister.
*Prairie & Red look at each other as if to say "What do you think we should do?" *
Prairie:Tell you what. Red & I will go to the pool for only a half hour.Call us down at the pool if you need anything. We'll even get Starbucks for you.
Red:Except for that Double Chocolate Chip Frappucino. We know you HATE that, Kath ;)
LOL...very funny Red!
Prairie:Well at least Red got a smile out of you.
Yes...she did. Have fun at the pool you two.

Hey Vic. Thanks, but I'll probably go down later and pick up something for the library. Maybe if I can tear myself away from all the fanfics...

Hey Bryan... That's OK, we'll just move that nest into your room. What's avaialble...
*Looks through registry.
Well... We just got an opening in Room #2... Then there are Rooms #15, 16, 17, 24, 28 or 29 here on the second floor. There's Room #34, 39, 40, 42, 43 or 44 up on the third floor. And of course, Rooms #45-51, 53, 54, and 57 up on the top floor are vacant also. Would think you'd prefer a room here on the second floor. Could have an exterior entrance/exit added that way. Just LMK which you want and I'll show you to your room.

Phew... Just got another cancellation, sure keeping us busy here at the dorms. Well, hopefully we'll have all this sorted by August so we can post who's gone. And if any switches need to be done, it can take place before the celebrations in September.

Gonna relax a little bit. Hope Kathy got those oatmeal raisin cookies we sent her.

Hmm..So many options. What do you guys think? I think the second floor is good. Downstairs is the basement right? Yeah, I think the Bird would rather be above ground. He likes the sunshine.

Rosita: Oooh, I like the number 29.
Big Bird: yeah, yeah, me too. Hahaha.
Well...#29 it is then i guess, Ed.

Hexcellent choice sir. *Bats come back and rest on the desk. Oh, she got it then? Good, I'll feed you after I tend to our new guests.

*Takes key from hook near marble 29. This way everyone.
*Pushes past two sets of double doors. The first set of doors separates the lobby from the stairwell, it's past that door on our right. The second set of doors open up onto the hallway here on the second floor.

That big open room there is the common room. Each floor has a common room, with different carpeting. Oscar's trashcan is there in the left back corner, he's been quiet lately. Too quiet if you ask me. Oh, and that fireplace in the back right corner has the dumbwaiter elevator we use to get from floor to floor.

Now then, a turn to our left... And it should be... Yes, last door down on our right.
*Hands key to Bryan. OK, this floor's bathrooms are across from your room. Kyle and the monsters are in this part of the dorms as well, maybe they'll show up and welcome you guys later.
Just remember to post a descript of whyour room looks like. The bats will be with your luggage and nest in a little while, gotta feed them first.

Enjoy your stay here guys. Oh, and when you get the chance, don't forget to contact me with ideas for designs for a dorms robe for each member of your party.
Have a great time and welcome to MC Dorms!

Hey, it's not too late for an old friend to move back into the dorms, is it?

Gillis: I certainly hope not. Not after we had to drag your luggage all the way across campus.

Tosh: What do you mean "we", Maestro? You sat on top of her rolling suitcase the whole time while the rest of us carried everything else.

Beast: *snuffling and nodding in agreement*

Okay, that's enough guys. We're going to be rooming together (hopefully), so you had better start learning to get along now.

KIM!!! Course not, you're always welcome. And I see you brought some more Fraggles to the dorms. Always welcome.

So, which room do you want? Just check the post above, Room #29's taken by Bryan and his roommates.

Hmmm, rully not sure if I should post which Muppets are newly available for roommate status. It's great seeing new and old friends coming in. Well, if some certain people we know insist on the names being revealed...
Not rully a mystery, all you have to do is search through the thread for old registry lists, me thinks the latest one was around post 3031 (if you have 30 posts per page then check round page 101) and check who was in Rooms #2, 11, and 24.

Okay, guys. Where would you prefer our room to be at? Second floor or first floor?

Tosh: Well, where's Boober at?

Gillis: *chuckling* According to the dorm listing, he's on the third floor along with Wembley, Gobo and Lou. Red and Mokey are on the first floor.

Well, I'd prefer to live on the second floor. I lived on the third floor for a semester down at Monmouth, and I hated climbing all those stairs.

Tosh: *shrugs* Second floor's fine with me.

Gillis: And with me. I'd prefer to remain closer to the ground. Plus we'd be the only fraggles on that floor as well.

Beast: *nods*

Okay then. Room #15 okay with you guys? *her roommates nod* All right.

Ed, we'll take #15.

OK. Let me get the keys. *Places keys for Rooms #2, 9, and 11 back on their hooks and takes the key from hook near marble 15.
OK, let's go. Just placing some keys from vacated rooms back up on their hooks.

*Passes through double doors. The stairs are on your right, past the second set of doors and we're in the hallway.

Common room in front of you, Oscar's trashcan and fireplace with dumbwaiter elevator inside. Brings back memories huh Kim? A turn to our right... And first door on our left.
*Hands key to Kim. Rully glad you're back and... Oh, wait, gave you the wrong key.
That's for the new people moving into Room #24. Here's the one for 15.
*Hands correct key. You know, I'm contacting everyone for the anniversary. There might be some Fraggles in need of a roommate. Then again, I have to check with all the others before saying for sure.

Remember to post a descript of what the room looks like, and ideas for a robe for each member in your party.
Welcome back to a long-time friend of the dorms!

*unlocks the door and enters the room, Gillis, Tosh and her Beast right behind her*

Ooh, this is nice. We should feel right at home here, guys.

Gillis: I like it already.

Tosh: Me too.

Beast: *growls and nods*

So, what say we get unpacked and get this place organized?

*After a couple hours, the group is finished unpacking and organizing.*

Okay, so I know you're all dying to know what the room looks like, so here's a description. The walls are painted off-white. As you enter the room, there is a twin-sized bunkbed almost immediately to your right near the wall. The bottom bunk is made up with tan and white sheets, white cases on the pillows and a green and black crocheted afgahan folded at the foot, which is near the door. The bottom bunk belongs to Gillis. An oak nightstand is at the head of his bunk for his glasses and bedside lamp, as well as a pen and small notebook so that he can write down song ideas in the middle of the night.

The top bunk, which belongs to Tosh, has a pink canopy/curtain to give her a little privacy. Her sheets and pillowcases are plum and green. The head of her bunk has a built-in ledge for Tosh to use as a nightstand.

On the opposite wall is a loft bed, which is like a bunkbed except that it just has the top bed part. This is my bed The bed has lavender sheets, a purple blanket, lavender pillowcases on the pillows and a green, pink, purple and yellow plaid comforter. The foot of my bed is against the wall, and a tall dresser at the head of my bed doubles as my nightstand. I have a purple desk lamp on the top of it, a bottle of water, my pillboxes with my medicines and my digital alarm clock. In the top two drawers I keep some more personal articles of clothing, while the fourth has my shorts and pants. The third drawer is where I keep extra things like a flashlight, extension cords, batteries and quarters for laundry.

Below my bed we have a beige "comfy" chair, as well as a couple of beanbag chairs to drag out onto the floor and sit on. We also keep our microfridge unit (a combination refridgerator/microwave) under my bed as well.

The closet is at the right-hand end of the room as you come in, and it has no doors. This actually helps because it creates more room in the dorm room. We've divided the closet in half - one half is mine, where I hang my shirts and keep my shoes, as well as store the clothes hamper. My laundry stuff and my bath stuff are on my half of the closet shelf. In the middle of the closet is another dresser similar to the one I have next to my bed; Gillis and Tosh share this dresser - he gets the top drawers, she gets the bottom. Tosh's extra dresses and Gillis' spare coats hang in their half of the closet, and Beast sleeps on the floor (at night his rope is tied to a hook in the wall, so we don't have to worry about him getting loose and wandering around).

Up high on the wall opposite the closet is our bookshelf; it's about 3/4 the length of the wall (it's got to allow room for the door when it opens). We have some books on the half of the shelf that's above the desk, as well as our combination portable phone and answering machine with Caller ID. On the other side of the shelf is our DVD and video tape collection.

Below the bookshelf is the desk, which is just as long as the shelf. Under the half of the shelf with the books and telephone is our computer; it has a CD-ROM drive, a separate CD/DVD-burner drive and a flat-screen monitor. In the center of the desk is a printer/copier/scanner. The computer is almost always on, and it's always tuned to MC Radio.

On the other side of the printer is our "entertainment center". That consists of a TV/VCR, and a separate 5-disc changer DVD player.

So, that's our room. Hope you enjoyed the tour.

-Kim

<wipes sweat> oy. That was an awful lot of work.

Rowlf: Yeah, but worth it. Look how nice the room is.

Yeah, it's not too bad. Still, you'd think moving in would be less of a hassle the second time around.

Rowlf: That's just wishful thinking.

Yeah, I guess it is. A lot going on in the dorms all of a sudden, too, with us changing rooms, and new dormies, and a couple people leaving. Well, let's examine our handy-work, shall we? It's a new set up, after all.

Rowlf: Sounds good.

Alright, so to the left of the door is that nice big red fluffy couch I've grown so fond of. Re-apholstered to a darker shade of red, though. Far left wall has a triple bunk bed, with all three of our beds just sort of stacked on top of each other with just enough room for each of us to sit up. Top bunk is me, with a navy blue comforter, matching pillow and sheets, and a teddy bear.

Rowlf: Mm-hm, and I've got the middle bunk with white sheets, a bone-shaped pillow, and an old gray blanket. I think it used to be white, but it's pretty old.

<shrug> happens. Looks like Chef is already sleeping in the bottom bunk, with his same old sheets and blanket with the same old vegetable pattern. Then next to the beds we have that big bookcase.

Rowlf: For all the books we've got on that, you'd think we actually read all of them.

Yeah. Some dvds on top by my alarm clock, too. Then next to that we've got my desk. It looks so weird when it's clean.

Rowlf: Don't worry, it won't last. In the corner there's my baby grand piano. Doesn't look like such a baby in that corner though.

No, it doesn't. It looks huge. Right by your piano is the window- that's a nice thing about being on ground level, we can see outside. Didn't have that in the basement. Nice little potted flower in the window. Do you think it'll live very long? I'm not much of a green thumb.

Rowlf: You're not green at all, actually. I'll help you remember to water it if you'd like.

That could help. Anyway, that other corner is Chef's new kitchen.

Rowlf: And to the right of the door we've got our dressers.

Which we actually use, unlike the book case.

Rowlf: Speak for yourself. I don't usually wear clothes.

Yeah. Well, I'm pretty tired, I vote we go to sleep.

Rowlf: That makes two votes "yay" and one abstain, so I guess we're going to bed.

Alright. Good night.

Rowlf: Goodnight.

Chef: Guudneeght.

I thought you were already sleeping, Chef. Were we keeping you awake?

Chef: zzzzzz

Rowlf: I think that's a "no".

TA: Jeez Louise, why can't I get my sleep! Marvin, why are you practicing...

MS: I'm-a right heeeere, TA! (turns on nightstand lamp)

TA: Well, if you're in bed, then... (switches on banker's lamp on desk, sees Muppaphones grimacing in their sleep)

MS: Oh, my Muppaphones are having nightmares! (runs out of bed, knocking mattress and boxspring off frame)

PN: I'll fix it... (heads to Marvin's bed)

MS: (to Muppaphones) Don't be doing that and waking everyone up! (grabs mallets and begins to hit Muppaphones over head)

MP: (in succession) OW! OW! OW! OW!

MS: Ahaha, it's "Surfin' Safari"! (keeps hitting them) I may have a new song!

PN: Marvin, would you just give it up and get back to bed!

MS: Oh, alright. (To Muppaphones) I'll be back...

MP: (to Phil after Marvin goes back to sleep) THANK YOU!

PN: Ssh, not so loud! You'll wake him up again!

MP: Oh, alright.

PN: (grabbing two Nerds Ropes from the snack drawer in his nightstand) Here's a little food. I don't think he fed you last night!

MP: (in unison) No, he didn't! (begin to eat)

PN: Now finish that up and go back to sleep. (gets back in bed, switches off light and goes back to sleep)

TA: I'm with you, Phil. (heads to sleep)

Gillis: *yawning* Sorry, but we were up awfully late last night getting moved in and everything.

Pick, pick, pick. Is Tosh up yet?

Tosh: *poking her head out from behind her curtain* Yeah, I'm up. We got anything decent for breakfast?

Lemme see here... *rifles through the refrigerator* We've got some Doozer sticks left over from our trip up here, half a bottle of my pop, a couple bottles of water, a box of baking soda (that's to keep the inside of the fridge fresh) and a tennis ball. *blinks* A tennis ball? How'd that get in here? *tosses the tennis ball out over her shoulder*

Sorry, Beast. Here ya go. *throws the tennis ball to him* Well, looks like we'll have to go grocery shopping sometime today guys.

Tosh: Pass me a couple Doozer sticks, would ya?

Gillis: Me too, please.

*hands them each a couple Doozer sticks* Breakfast - or lunch, rather - is served. *steps into the closet and puts on a shirt, then comes back out*

So we'll do a little grocery shopping, come back and then tour the dorm and see if we can't look up the rest of the Fraggles. And remember, we have to send the designs for our robes to Ed sometime soon.

Hee, just wait till Beth comes back and Red's here again. She'll be glad to have others who cotton to her Doozerstick/dust cuisine.

Ah well... Have a good day guys. As for the other Fraggles... Christy and Gobo are on vacation, along with Sprocket. Haven't heard anything from the rest yet, only contacted Frogster and Wembley though.
Maybe they'll show up soon, though I'm not sure.

LAUNDRY DAY! Time to do laundry!

Rowlf: Is that why you're still in your pajamas?

Indeed it is. I have no clean clothes to wear, they all need to be washed, and that's what I'm doing today! Chef, got anything that needs cleaning?

Chef: I certeeenly du. Here-a. <hands me a huge stack of filthy aprons>

Oh, goodness! Yes you do! That'll have to be a seperate load. What about you, Rowlf, anything?

Rowlf: Nope.

Alrighty then, I'll be doing laundry. <starts heading for the door carrying several laundry baskets, and stops> Unless, of course, either of you wants to give me a hand?

Rowlf: Not really.

Chef: Nu.

<sigh> somehow I didn't think so. Alright, don't have too much fun without me. <goes to laundry room.>

Rowlf: Hey Chef?

Chef: Yeeh?

Rowlf: Just because she told us not to.

<Rowlf starts playing a very lively tune on the piano while Chef adds ingredients to a bowl in time with the music, getting more on the floor and counter than actually in the bowl.>

(TA is getting changed into a Grateful Dead T-shirt and a pair of shorts. Marvin and Julius have paired up for the day to see "War of the Worlds". Phil is in the bath.)

TA: Boy, looks like it'll be a good day today. Better explore the dorms, check out everything that's here, maybe take a few pictures.

PN: Oh! Oh, I hear they have a pool!

TA: Seems so. Maybe I'll go for a swim tomorrow.

PN: Yeah! Maybe I'll go with you, and I can convince Julius to come along!

TA: Well, what about Marvin?

PN: Yeah, he'd better come along too. Those Muppaphones are sweet little things! (He steps out of the bathroom fully changed into his normal lab gear, except he is also wearing a Simpsons baseball cap.)

TA: Phil, why are you wearing my old Simpsons cap?

PN: I ran out of hair gel!

TA: Fine, fine. Gotta look your best. Now come along, we'll look around and maybe pick up a little lunch somewhere. I think there's a diner not too far from here.

PN: Sounds good, I've been craving a ham steak for days!

TA: Hey, pick up Bubba and the Birdman, we'll get 'em a hamburger!

PN: Sure, why not? You know, they got a new mansion over across town.

TA: Wow! They livin' alone?

PN: Nope. Bill Gates is with them.

TA: Oh good. I've been thinking about getting a new PC lately. Think they could smuggle one out?

PN: I should say so, and they'll get you the new Windows beta to boot! (grabs Tootsie Roll out of snack drawer) Here, want some?

TA: Sure! (grabs Tootsie Roll and eats it whilst putting on cap) Come on, let's get out of here.

Honestly, this is the last time I'm taking you two grocery shopping with me, I swear.

Beast: *muttering and growling*

Sorry, Beast; you THREE then.

Gillis: What do you expect? We're FRAGGLES! We've never been in a Silly Creature's Gorg Garden before!

For the last time, Gillis, it's a "grocery store" or a "supermarket", not a Gorg garden. And even so, that didn't give you permission to wander around the place getting lost and messing up the aisles.

Tosh: Okay, so we got a little excited. Was it necessary to make us ride in that big metal basket for the rest of the trip?

Yes, it was. Next time, if you need something from the store just write it on the sticky pad on the refrigerator door, and I'll be sure to pick it up when I go to the store...alone.

Gillis: Are you done lecturing?

Yes.

Gills: Good. Let's get these groceries put away, then we can explore this place. I believe I heard from somewhere that there was a pool here...

Tosh: Oh good! It'll be nice to have a good swim!

All right. *fishes the key out of her pocket and unlocks the door, allowing the Fraggles and Beast to enter the room before her*

Hey guys... Trying to get to everything with my computer slowing down a bit. Maybe my brother can check it when he comes round next time.

Oh well... Yes, there's a pool here at the dorms... Connected to the mainhouse by a walkway out back. Me thinks Red has the master key that opens the gated door to the pools. But her roommate will hopefully be back by next week.
As for out on the town eats... There's the fave diner known to us as Everybody Eats, with food for every living creature possible. There's also the local pizzeria, which specializes in normal and weird toppings like radishes and stuff like that.
Got some news which'll be posted soon.

TA: Thanks. (begins to eat)

PN: Well, while I'm waiting, I think I'll go catch a few episodes of Seinfeld.

Bry: Okay, looks like we are done, finally.

Our room is at the very end of the hall on the Right Wing (floor 2). Our room is on the right. As you walk in the door you will notice the whole room is painted a beautiful cream color, with deep green carpet and dark brown wooden borders between the carpet and wall.
After entering, looking to the right is my quarter of the room. the desk is on the doorside wall with a rolly swivel chair. My desk has a laptop computer on it and a red office desk lamp and cellphone in charger. The opposite side of the quarter has a red velvet curtain which sort of separates my area from the rest of the room (though it is only on that one side). Parallel with the curtain is my bed right next to it against the side wall and a small nightstand on the other side of the bed which has a small lamp and electronic alarm clock. On that wall is a closet which I keep all my clothes (hanging and in little drawers) and other nik naks in. There are pictures on the wall of family and friends.
On the other side of the red curtain is a bookshelf against the wall. Against that same wall in the corner is Rosita's bed. She has white sheets and light yellow blanket and spread. The bedspread has little red maracas all over it. At the foot of her bed is a toy box. At the side of her bed (opposite the wall) is a nightstand with a lamp. The side of her bed has little drawers which is where she keeps whatever clothes she has and her guitar in its case. The nightstand is hallowed out and she keeps books in it. The bed has a white canopy netting covering with warm colored paper streamers hanging down from the cieling. There is a Mexican flag and an American Flag intercrossing on the wall above the head of the bed.
On the opposite side of the room from Rosita is Big Bird's nest. His corner is set up very similar to his nest area on Sesame Street only in a smaller space. The nest is right in the corner. On the front sides of the nest sits two wooden crates (just like on the show). On is against the wall below the window (the wall shared by Bird and Rosita has a nice big window) and the other between the nest and a colored wall separating that side of the nest from the rest of the room. Basically he has three walls around him. This wall is like the colored doors that we know. Surrounding the nest is various whatnots and nik naks, including a tall lamp with a chain switch, a cuckoo clock on the wall, an indoor tree plant, a large unicycle wheel, and the Mr. Hooper picture is hanging on the wall behind him. The wall also has odd street signs and such. Each crate actually opens up like a chest, where Bird keeps all his other things (neckties, books, balls, blankets, rubber ducks, goggles, swim flippers, rollerskates, toy drum, transistor radio, binoculars, blocks, crayons...you get the picture). Radar is in the nest. On the other side of the colored wall is a back door which leads out the other side of the building.
In the last corner, which is to the left as you come in from the hall is the kitchen bar area. It could be like a junior Hoopers Store. on the immediate left looking in is an oven/stove and counter. the fridge is on the adjacent wall. Closing the corner off from the rest of the room is an L shaped bar with 3 stools on the outside on the side closest to Bird;s nest and just before the side door. This counter also has a sink. The counter has drawers and cabinets storing all of our food (including bird seed). There is an old black phone on the counter by the wall. There is a brass hat/coat rack by the side door and counter. There is also a small window on the wall where the side door is but it is on the inside of the bar. The whole floor of this section is a red brick pattern tile scheme. The middle of the room is pretty open and empty because we dunno what to do with it yet. We may leave the space there for now. It is basically our common area where we play and do whatever.
A flat plasma screen tv comes down from the ceiling via remote control. There are also small speakers in each corner of the room for surround sound. Music can be controlled from my comp. thru the speakers. Scattered here and there are pics of our family and friends.

Well I think that is enough descriptions for now.

Bry: Time for bed guys. It's late.

Big Bird: Goodnight, Bryan and Rosita. Goodnight, Radar.
Rosita: Buenos noches.
Bry: Goodnight, you two. Sweet dreams.

Taking a cue from BEAR, here's a description of our room.

Upon opening the door, the first thing that hits you is a strong scent of grilled meat. Marvin found a good-sized electric grill for the dorm, and so we cook steaks or something on it every night. The kitchen is straight ahead. An old pub bar serves as seating. The aforementioned grill, a refrigerator and a wall oven lay directly ahead of the bar.

The room is painted a deep shade of blue with a red trim. The beds are all lined up against a wall opposite the kitchenette, but a little further down in the room. There is a goodly amount of space between each of them. They all have an individual nightstand. Julius T. Strangepork's bed is the furthest away from the door, and it has a silver bedspread with black pillows. His nightstand features a spaceship lamp, a clock radio and a few books. Above his bed is a poster of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon, and a large Pigs in Space logo. Dr. Phil's bed is next to his, and it is decked out in deep red tones. His nightstand has a stolen hotel lamp, a tiny analog clock and a drawer filled up with candy. TA's bed is next to his, with a Mexican theme: an orange and brown bedspread with matching pillowcases. His nightstand has a metal lamp, a few books and he too has a drawer full of food. Over his bed is a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" movie theater poster. Last is Marvin's bed, with a blue-and-gold bedpsread. Marvin has a metallic lamp similar to TA's, and some sheet music to be practiced on the Muppaphones.

Directly opposite Julius Strangepork's bed is the TV area, and the rest of the dormies envy him for having such a good view of the football game at night. A leather couch and loveseat are augmented by a black-and-gold coffee table that cost $80 split four ways and was bought off of TA's father. The television is a large DLP widescreen set, with a Yamaha 5.1 digital surround system that could bust your ears if you're watching the right movie. A small air-conditioning unit sits in the window next to the television, as Marvin doesn't trust central A/C. On the other side of the TV is the gang's DVD collection, with over 135 of TA's discs and a few from Julius and Marvin as well.

To the left of the kitchenette is what could be called a den. Marvin's Muppaphones sit on their stand (and if Marvin is away for the night, on the beds TA and Phil designed) to the right of the door. A computer sits behind a false wall erected by Julius one afternoon as he had nothing else to do. There is no door in the wall, just a black curtain. Behind the wall is a 2001 PC running Windows XP Professional edition. Word has it that Bubba the Rat and his compadres have moved into Bill Gates's manor and a new computer will probably be coming in soon. The computer room is half covered in mirrors and half covered in movie theater posters stolen by Phil.

Also in the den is a 400-slot CD holder that is just about full. TA provided 200 CDs, and Julius provided most of the others. This is connected to the surround system in the TV area by a very long cable that Radio Shack didn't carry, so Marvin bought it at Price Club. The commode sits to the right of the computer room, and was painted a shade of yellow separate from the rest of the dorm.

Soon enough Phil will be moving his lemon of a car into the dorm to attempt a fix-it job. Luckily the dorm has tile floors, so oil spills are easier to clean up than with carpet. And it'll mask the omnipresent smell of grilled meat. :)

And now we go poolside...

*sitting on a chair near the pool, dressed in a one-piece dark blue bathing suit* Now this is nice. We didn't even have a pool on campus when I was in college, let alone at the dorm.

Gillis: *wearing gray swimming trunks and his usual black jacket* What about that new athletic center that was built while you were down there? From what I've seen on-line, it had a pool.

That was only during my senior year-and-a-half, and the grand opening didn't happen until after I had left. Besides, I like this pool better. Reminds me more of a hotel pool than the one at my high school or at the college.

Tosh: *in the pool, wearing a one-piece suit the same color as her regular clothes* The water's the right temperature, too! Although I don't know why it has this funny smell to it...

That's the chlorine, Tosh. It helps keep the pool water clean; trust me, Boober does have a point to all his talk about germs. Now, we'd better get to thinking about what we want our dorm robes to look like.

Glad everyone enjoyed the airing. Got some good stuff in Ep. 355, the Rain Storm.
SS version of Mahna Mahna.
Casey Kasem's poem of the Boy and the Bat.
The M who came to Dinner.
Kermit's B Lecture.
And one of Puerto Rico's great actors... Raul Julia as Rafael.
Thought this was the episode with Paul and Michael cooking in their apartment... Guess I was wrong, maybe it was another Unpaved episode. Oh well, that can wait for another day/tape when I continue with my full-powered research.
OK guys, it's getting kind of late. We'll have the Hawaii vacation and the trip to Puerto Rico tomorrow.
And on Sunday, it'll be your summer at Camp Echo Rock, Big Bird. I know you'll be happy to see those episodes again.

We can play some Sesame Monopoly till Bryan comes and picks you up.
Hey Beth, hope you had a good trip. Kim moved back in, Red's roommate back at the original dorms. She brought some other Fraggles with her, more to enjoy her Doozerstick cooking I guess. Oh, and I got a postcard from Gobo and Christy today. They're still on vacation while Christy sells her house.
Well, hope you have a good night.

Rowlf: So Chef, did you like the Sesame Street episodes?

Chef: Yes, It ves fery interteeening.

Rowlf: Wow. You know, I actually understood that.

<they walk into room 24 to see me playing on the piano>

Rowlf: I didn't know you could play.

Wha? Oh hi guys, didn't hear you come in. Uh... Rowlf, I hope you don't mind me using your piano....

Rowlf: Not at all.

Thanks. I was just in sort of a crummy mood for no good reason, and some how playing piano tends to help with that.

Rowlf: So mini golfing didn't go too well, huh?

No it went fine- except of course for Noah being a grouch, Ben getting stung by a wasp, Eden throwing Frank's ball into the water... yeah, other than that, it was pretty fun.

Chef: Vhy du I nut qooeete-a beleeefe-a thet?

Because I haven't told you yet that I got a hole in one.

Rowlf: Really?

Yup. Not that it helped much, I still scored 68.

Rowlf: What was par?

I don't know, but I have a feeling it was a lot less than 68.

JS: Go! Go! Beat de train! Beat de train!

MS: I like-a dees movie! I think I'll go get some-a more popcorn!

PN: Oh, oh, I'll get it for you. What do you want mixed in it?

MS: Do you have any Milk Duds?

PN: Yep, somewhere in there! Hold on... (gets up, rummages through snack drawer, pulls out a box of Milk Duds) Be right back, Marvin! (heads to kitchenette)

MS: Good man.

TA: Yeah. Hey, Leno's on in a few minutes.

JS: The new episode?

TA: No, last night's episode re-run on Star.

JS: Oh, what the hey, I'll watch it again. He had a good "Headlines" bit there last night!

TA: Yeah.

MS: Think I'll join Phil. (goes to kitchenette)

PN: Hi, Marvin! You know I was thinking, want a hamburger? You said the sandwiches at that deli were the pits. Say, why were you at the deli when the pizza joint and the diner are so close to here?

MS: Zey were a-full!

PN: Fair enough. So, you want one?

MS: Make it a cheese-a-burger.

PN: Oh, sure! (grabs hamburger and slaps it on grill)

MS: Thanks, Phil.

PN: Oh, sure!

(TA and Julius are watching Leno's monologue and laughing their butts off.)

JS: Hah hah hah hah hah! It's funny even the second time!

TA: Yeah, I know what you mean. Ya wanna watch this from bed?

JS: Sure, turn on the wireless units over there, would ya?

TA: (breaks into Link Hogthrob) Hey, don't give me that! I'll turn on the units when I want to!

JS: (busting a gut laughing)

TA: (back to normal voice) OK, hold on a sec. (He heads to their nightstands, flicks on the wireless reciever units and the speakers above their beds begin to emit sound from the TV.)

JS: Alright now, let's turn in. (quietly) Reach into Phil's candy drawer and grab some Nerds for me, would you?

TA: I don't see why not. (reaches into Phil's candy drawer, grabs a box of Nerds for Julius and a couple of Wonka Bars for himself) Here ya go.

JS: Thanks! (they turn in)

Well, I've now read Harry Potter in two days. Wake up at noon, read, and go to bed at 5 AM the next morning. I've now really thrown off my sleep cycle zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....WHAT? I'm awake! Well, my mom brought it for me and it's not like I had anything better to do. And I must say it was alright, sad, but it wasn't wholy unexpected. I know, I've given away the whole story now right? How will I live with myself? Anyway, I'm totally bored again. I'll have to see what I can do about that.

We could. Today also seems like a good day to head down to Ed and the Count's room and watch some Sesame Street episodes, don't you think? Although I might be going to visit my grandmother this afternoon. If that happens, you guys can go down to Ed's room yourselves.

Yeah, know what you mean Lisa. The next term starts up for me in about a couple of weeks also. Shortened summer, due to the month-long strike which didn't resolve anything in the end. How's that for you? The university shuts down due to a student strike for an entire month, and then when it opens again cause the strike's over... The strike never even accomplished the goals for which the strike was held shutting down the university for an entire month in the first place.
Oh well... At least we have a bit of vacation time left.

By the way, started the Camp Echo Rock episodes today, will continue them tonight. Everyone's welcome to watch them down in the Floor 1 Common Room.

Rowlf: You look beat.

I am beat. But you know, there were a couple of pretty funny moments at the party.

Rowlf: For example.

Let's just say it's very amusing to watch my cousins turn frisbee into a contact sport. But you know what I think the best part was?

Rowlf: Nope. Tell.

My little cousin Eden came and found me and said "Can we watch Elmo?" I said "Elmo? We don't have any Elmo." And she said, "Yes you do, I saw it!" So she takes me over to the tv and points to a tape of "Follow That Bird." I guess she saw it was Sesame Street and figured Elmo had to be there. So we watch it, and she spent about the first ten minutes saying "Where's Elmo?" Then she spent another ten minutes asking if Snuffleupagus was going to visit Big Bird by airplane or car. But she seemed to enjoy it, and her big brothers definately got a kick out of it. They did ask why Elmo wasn't in it, but they didn't really seem to care. Oh, and Ben tackled me because he was sick of me singing along with all the songs. It was pretty amusing.

Rowlf: Sounds like it.

Chef: Yeeh, I'm gled yuoo hed a guud teeme-a. Hoo lung is yuoor femeely steyeeng in toon?

One more day. They leave bright and early Tuesday morning.

Chef: Nu vunder yuoor femeely's beee hefeeng su muny perteees. Um gesh dee bork, bork!

Yeah, no kidding. We've been cramming in visits. Anyway, the whole school-starting-the-same-day-camp-ends might not be as much of an issue as I thought.

Rowlf: Why's that?

Well, I'll be in a new building, but I can get a map before hand so I'll have a pretty good idea of where to go for my classes. Since it's a late start, it will be shortened periods. And the first day of school is usually just "Hi, I'm your teacher, here's the rules, here's the curriculum, here's what you'll need for this class, oh there's the bell, have a nice day." I think I can manage that on less than enough sleep. And since there were only four girls in my grade at camp last year, there might not be a lot this year either, so I won't necessarily have to deal with people talking all night.

Rowlf: Looking at the glass as half full, huh?

Trying.

Chef: <fills glass half way with water and sets it down in front of me> Meybe-a thet'll help.

Oh thanks Chef. I'm sure it will help. <picks glass up and dumps it over Chef's head.>

Wonder if the mail will get here today. Seeing as how it's another holiday down here in PR, the anniversary of our "state" constitution. Saying "state" cause we're not rully one, though we are tied to the US.
Oh well, have a good day guys. Hope there's a package or two coming...

Doing a bit of checking up.

The following dorm members need to please contact me with regards as to whether or not they'll be staying as dorm residents, and if so what they want their robes to look like.
Mupitz.
tutter_fan.
Frogster.
If you do not reply by September, then I'll take it that you're no longer interested in being residents of the dorms and your roommates and rooms will be available to others once again.

The following members should please contact me with ideas for their dorm robes.
Beauregard.
Vibs.
Harvey Towers.
Christyb.
Hope to hear from you with your ideas soon.

McFraggle... You say you sent me a reply about the dorms. However, I haven't received any such reply. If you could, I'd appreciate it if you sent said reply to my PM inbox or E-mail inbox.
Hoping to hear from everybody to start contacting other members as to whether they'll be staying or not.

Have a good day.

Rosita: Hey, Bryan. What are you doing looking out the window?
Bry: Oh,hey, Rosita. I was just seeing if the mailman had come yet. I am expecting a package.

Rosita: Oh, really?
Bry: Yeah, it's been 3 weeks since I ordered my Rainbow Connection Kermit figure from Palisades. I was billed a long time ago and it still hasn't arrived. I am getting a little worried. I also ordered some Muppet Penguins a few days ago but I don't expect those to arrive soon.

Rosita: Oh, don't worry. (giving a big warm hug) I am sure they will come soon. Just be patient.
Bry: I know. (hugging back) Thanks, Rosita. I am just so anxious to fatten up my collection. See that shelf over there? That is where they are all going. Where's Big Bird?

Rosita: Oh, he went outside to rollerskate.
Bry: Oh ok. Anyway, are you hungry? Maybe we should get some lunch. What would you like? I think we have some soup and there are frozen pizzas in the freezer.

Rosita: What kind?
Bry: (going over to kitchen bar) I think it's barbecued chicken from California Pizza Kitchen.

Rosita: Yummy!
Bry: Yeah and out of soups there is Manhattan clam chowder, turkey noodle, and your favorite...Southwestern style chicken.

Rosita: Si, me gusta.
Bry: I'll fix Big Bird his birdseed peanut butter sandwich if you wanna go call him in for me.

Rosita: Okay!

Hi Bry. Waiting for my packages too... Grover's the one who handles the mail delivery round these parts, along with his myriad of other jobs. Course, it all piles up at the lobby and gets sorted out when I come back at the end of the day.

As for RC Kermit, I ordered mine on 7/1, and Tony said that it had shipped just last week. Not sure if it shipped on the 19th as the message said or on the 21st as he said, but I'll give it 3-4 weeks before contacting him again. As for the Penguins and Uncle Deadly... Well, let's just say that they're in transit. If you're anxious to know, you can send Ignohippo a PM over on the PT board with your information. Thinking I might do that myself soon, though I know they're on their way.
Hope this helps.

Rosita: What should we do now?
Big Bird: We could go to the park!
Bry: Thats a good idea. It will be a good place for me to sit and write.

Big Bird: Well, then what are we waiting for? Let's go!
Rosita: Hey, do you think we should ask anyone else if they wanna go?
Big Bird: I'll go ask Oscar. He needs to get out.
Bry: Umm...Big Bird, I dunno if that's a good idea.

Big Bird: Why not.
Bry: Because he's a grouch.

Big Bird: Oh, that's silly. (walks out and down the hallway to the common room. Bangs on the trashcan)
Oscar: (pops out of can) What?! Oh, it's the Big Canary! When did you move into the dorms?
Big Bird: Hi, Oscar! We moved in just last week. We are in the room at the very end of that hall. Do you wanna go with us to the park and play?
Oscar: No...
Big Bird: Why not?
Oscar: Because I am a grouch and grouches do not play. I am perfectly miserable here in my trashcan.
Rosita: (Coming in the room) Hola, Oscar!
Oscar: Oh, great. More happy people on my floor!? Why it's enough to make me sick.
Big Bird: Then you should see a doctor.
Oscar: No, I don't wanna see a doctor.
Big Bird: Well, then if you are sick how will you get better?
Oscar: You wanna know what will make me feel better?
Rosita: To go with us to the park and play?!
Oscar: No, for you to go to the park and play and leave me ALONE! (slams down his lid)

Because this week I have to work the 9 to 2 shift at the library instead of the 2 to 8 shift like I normally do on Tuesdays.

Tosh: So what are we supposed to do while you're gone?

*shrugs* Heck if I know. Explore the dorm some more, go down to the pool, watch some more SS episodes in Ed and the Count's room...whatever. Just don't have any wild parties in here.

Cookie M: *wakes up fast* Me not want to. Me scared.

Grover: *walks into Cookie's room* Its ok to be scared Cookie. I was scared when I visited the doctor. My mommy helped me get over the fear.

Then thats what we'll do. Me, Grover and Herry will help you get over your fear of the doctor. By the way where is Herry?

Grover: Still asleep I guess.

Herry: I'm right here. Whats wrong?

Cookie is scared of going to the doctor. I told him that me, you and Grover are going to help him get over his fear.

Herry: Sounds easy to me. My granny helped me. I got sick and she had to take me to the doctor. The doctor then gave me a sucker. Don't worry Cookie I'll be here with you.

Ok, so in this next story I'm working on, the muppets are putting on- er, um, trying to put on- a big Summer show. This show is... well, it's big, it has a summer theme, and it's basically guaranteed to get a huge profit. Trouble is, I can't figure out a name for it. Here's what I've got so far: The Summer Show, Summer with the Muppets, Muppet Summer, Summer in the City, and Summer in the Theater. Keep in mind that part of the story is that they're trying to come up with a name for the show, so I also need some names to get shot down. Anybody got any suggestions?

Heh, not sure if he'll get here. He might, then again he might not. All I can do is wait.
Count: But aren't you going to even have breakfast? Later, after I finish with my brother... If he comes.
Oh hi Lisa... Mulling over titles for the story?
Well, Summer in the City would be better for one of the musical numbers, since that's the name of a song recorded by The Loving Spoonful.

Maybe... A Mid-Summer Muppets Classic?
Oh well, I'm sure you'll get the title and story worked out.

TogetherAgain
07-26-2005, 11:05 AM
Well it's not really for the title of the story, it's just a show that they're putting on within the story. The title is a whole other dilema, but I'll play with that later. Thanks for the suggestion, though! <jots down "A Mid-Summer Muppets Classic">

Chef:Yuoo steell dun't hefe-a a teetle-a fur zee stury?

Fifteen and sixteen
Now hang your head low
Seventeen pox, eighteen

Nineteen and twenty

And I've counted twenty
Twenty bird-pox in all
Yes, I've counted twenty

Bry: That's right, Big Bird.

Big Bird: Oh, boy! Well, what's in it?
Bry: Well, I'll show ya. Let's just open it up here. First I need to get a knife to cut the tape with.

Big Bird: Oh, be careful with that knife there. You don't wanna hurt yourself.

Big Bird: Yeah, I wanna see.
Bry: Just a sec... this thing is really packaged good.

(Finally getting it open) Woohoo!!

Big Bird: It's a little plastic toy. Hey, you know what? That toy looks just like Kermit.
Bry: It is Kermit, Big Bird.

Big Bird: Nah, I may be a big bird, but that frog looks too small to be Kermit.
Rosita: No, Big Bird. It is a toy of Kermit. Right, Bryan?
Bry: That's right. But not just any toy. This is a very special toy. It's the Rainbow Connection Kermit from Palisades. Remember when we watched that movie that Kermit was in and he played the banjo and sang that song?

Big Bird: Oh, yeah. I guess it looks just like him, only smaller.
Rosita: Yeah, and look at the cute little vegetables in there too. And little green Robin. Oh, I just want to hold him and love him all the time!
Big Bird: Wait. Who is this little boy here in this picture?
Bry: Oh, that's Cooper Perry. He is the boy that this figure was made for.

Rosita: Oh, well I hope he likes it too.
Big Bird: Yeah!
Bry: Well, actually guys, he isn't really here to play with it.

Big Bird: Well, of course not, silly. He is at his own house playing.
Bry: No, I mean, Cooper Perry died.

Big Bird: Died?
Bry: Yeah, remember when Mr. Hooper died?

Big Bird: Oh, yeah, i sure do. That was so sad.
Bry: Yeah, well, the same thing happened to Cooper. He died of a sickness called meningitis.

Rosita: But he is so young.
Bry: Yeah, that happens sometimes. But they made this special figure in his memory, and the money that people spend on these toys will go to a special fund to help support research about brain trauma.

Rosita: Well, that's nice. This is a very special figure.
Bry: It is. And by purchasing this, we helped other children.

Big Bird: We did?
Bry: That's right. Makes you feel good, huh.

Big Bird: It sure does. (looking at picture) Hi, Cooper. Wherever you are, we are sure thinking about you.
Rosita: And we all love you very much.
Big Bird: Yeah!
Bry: That's sweet, guys. Come on! Lets go put this somewhere with the other figures.

Big Bird: Hey, Bryan?
Bry: Yeah, Big Bird?

Big Bird: If it's okay with you, can I put the picture of Cooper by my nest next to Mr. Looper?
Bry: I think that would be great, Big Bird. (patting him on the beak)

The Count

*Surprised he got Cooper correct on his first try.
**That's a nice thought, BB placing the picture of Cooper next to his sketched portrait of Mr. Hooper.

Sorry I didn't answer you earlier Big Bird. Was downstairs having dinner. As for right now, think I'll relax a bit more with a bit of TV. My brother came today, and I'll be doing a bit of fussing and reworking with the figures that are still MOC and/or MIB in my collection.

You know Bry... When I get packages that big, be it from PT or my online dealings... Usually I end up finding a slit on the sides to slide in my home keys, and I use them to rip that sucker open. Ends up being much safer than having to ask the Chef to borrow one of his knives.
Glad you got your RC Kermit though. For the time being, I'll put it with the others I'm counting as part of S10. But when I work with the overall display, he'll go in front of the band on the left center shelf.

Have a good night guys.

A Gravelly Voice: (from outside the window) Sounds like you could use some soothing melodies to rest your brain.

Bry: What? (going over to the window and seeing a familiar friend with a saxaphone sitting on the wooden flower garden box on the sill.) Hoots, is that you?

Hoots: You bet your bass cleff, it is.

Rosita: Well, what are you doing out here by our window?

Hoots: Just enjoying the soft sounds of the night and playing a few of my own.

Big Bird: You mean, that was you that's been playing that music the last few nights.

Hoots: That's right, "Big Bopper."

Bry: Do you live in the dorms?

Hoots: No, not exactly. But sometimes I like to come here at night and play my music. It's sort of a way for me to unwind.

Bry: Unwind?

Hoots: Sure, in fact, it sounded as if you could use a little unwinding yourself. All you have to do is listen to the soft night sounds around you. And a nice steady rhythm will cool your head nicely too. I even know a song about it. What do you say I sing you dudes a real cool tune on my horn here? I guarantee it'll melt your muscles right into your mattress.

Bry: Sounds great. Are you sure it'll work?

Hoots: Hey, is Guy smiley? ;)

Bry: Okay...Thanks, Hoots. (getting back in bed)

Hoots: (Playing a soft jazzy melody on his saxaphone, and sings...)
Quiet is raindrops falling on grass
Quiet is clocks that tick and hours that pass
Quiet is breezes blowing soft in the air
Quiet is elm trees growing
Quiet is no one there...

Quiet is lonesome once in a while,
But quiet is feeling good and starting to smile
Quiet is like a soft and gentle sound
That helps us listen to the world that's all around...

That helps us listen to the world that's all around_________.

<sigh> You know, there's something almost depressing about filling up a notebook.

Rowlf: Why's that?

Oh I don't know. But I mean, look at this. This is almost all of "Chasing Robin" and the beginning of "Summer in the Theater". And now it's full. I think what I love about notebooks so much is that you can put whatever you want in them. But when they're full... well, they just don't take anymore. They just go sit on the shelf and collect dust.

Rowlf: But don't you still have to type some of the stuff in there?

Oh of course, I need to type up all of "Summer in the Theater," so I guess I'm still kind of using it. But it just sort of feels like the official end of "Chasing Robin."

Rowlf: Official endings leave you kind of empty, huh.

Yeah. But there is one good thing about finishing a notebook.

Rowlf: What's that?

You get to start a new one. And I happen to have another notebook just waiting for me to write all over it.

Rowlf: Wouldn't it be better just to write on the pages?

Very funny. I'll go grab it.

Rowlf: I'll wait here.

Hey Lisa, need that new notebook huh? See you noticed my new sig. That's a quote from the Mike & Mike in the Morning show on ESPN News. Watch it often, I does.
Thing is, there's a real pitcher named Putz and a hitter named Kevin Mench and a sports writter named Shmuck.

Speaking of siglines, got another one I'll be using in a day or two here. You might recognize it, since it's a take on a classic Muppet song.
Well, I'll leave you to your journals... And your voices too. Just post that story when it's ready.

Hey, that's great news Bo. *Slaps back.
Pretty soon you'll be taking over the top spot from Kevin. Almost 500 posts away from taking the #3 spot myself. Oh, and when you get a chance... Be sure and send me your robes design ideas. Gotta get everything in order for the party in a couple of months or less it seems.
Have a good day everyone.

Beau: Ri-ght...
Bo: And, I'll never take over from Kevin even if my post coutn is higher.
Beau: Oh, really, how come?
Bo: Becuase he's a great guy, and he makes every post count. I must admit some of my posts are..trivial...

Yeah, field trip day. I'm beginning to really dislike these days. I get so tired by the time I get home.
Red: Where did you go today?
Indoor water park. It was just ok.
Red: Indoors? On a beautiful day like today?
Yeah, well, we plan the trips before we know what the weather is like.
Red: Oh, ok, I get it.
Anyway, I'm heading to bed, I'm exhausted!

Red: Hmmm...
I know! We'll give her a bunch of Garfield DVD's, then when she's feeling up to it, she can watch them and hopefully they will cheer her up.
Red: That's a great idea!
I know Ed left a big Garfield plush for her, so this will just go with it!

All right, let's bring these down to room 6.

Big Bird: Thanks.

Bry: Agh! Rosita, what is that awful smell?!

Rosita: Yeah, he may be a grouch, but it's sweet to know that he is always thinking of other people.

Bry: Yeah...wait, don't bring it in hear.

Big Bird: Yeah, I decided to paint a picture of all our friends, so that she remembers that we all care for her.

Bry: Aww.

Rosita: That is beautiful, Big Bird. Oh, but come see the card I made. See on the front I drew a sun and flowers and on the inside i wrote "Warm and fuzzies. Love, Rosita".

Bry: Well, what is this letter "I" and "U" that are on there?

Rosita: Oh, I was eating my alphabet cereal and spilled a little. I will try and clean it up right now.

Bry: Wait a sec. Just draw a little heart between the letters and look what it says.

Rosita: Oh, "I <3 U" Bryan, you are muy intellegente.

Bry: Well, muchas gracias. Okay, lets put your painting and card in these envelopes. Big Bird, don't forget to sign your picture. Okay, and I made some bird seed cookies and picked some flowers from our window garden.

Big Bird: Umm...Bryan? She's not a bird. I don't think she eats birdseed.

Bry: Hey, its all we have in the kitchen. Someone forgot to go to the store. Besides, they will be fine. Rosita, you are in charge of that stinky fish thing. Let's all carry this stuff down to Kathy's room. Come on, guys!

Got everything above the computer set... The photographing shelf with the S10 integrants I have so far... And the Supergoofs on the shelf below all in a row next to the Backstage... Not to mention the two rows of six MOC figures in the closet.
Yup, glad it's all done. Now... Maybe I'll have some time to tend to getting the Count's collection of castle counting creatures started.

9/10/2005: MC Dorms 1st Anniversary Celebration.
Because the anniversary will be held on September 10 of this year, all dorm residents currently found in the first 1-star subgrouping who fail to contact me by that date shall no longer be members of the dorms.
Rully hate to have to do so, but I'm not a mind reader guys. If you haven't contacted me by said date, then I can only interpret that to mean you're no longer interested in continuing to participate in the dorms with your current roommates.

Hope this helps clear things up and hope to hear from those of you who should please contact me ASAP.

Bry: Where are you going, Big Bird?
Big Bird: Out to the yard. Snuffy said he was gonna come over to play today.
Bry: Cool! Have fun.
Big Bird: Do you wanna come play with us?
Bry: Sure! It's such a nice day. It would do us good to get out of the room. Rosita?
Rosita: Yeah!

Well... That now makes a total of robes for the residents in 17 out of the 35 currently occupied rooms here in the dorms. Almost halfway through. Think I'll contact a few more people... Just hoping they'll all answer before the celebrations.

Hm....... to get ready for bed, or to write another scene- that is the question.

Chef: Thet's a lut ieseeer tu understund thun Shekespeere's ferseeun. Bork bork bork!

Yes, but that's because it's more person specific. Seriously, though, I can't decide which I should do.

Chef: Vell, ere-a yuoo tured?

Yes... but-

Chef: Ere-a yuoo inspured?

Fairly...

Rowlf: You know it would help if you were more decisive.

If I was more decisive, we wouldn't have this problem to begin with.

Rowlf: Exactly. So what's the next scene?

Interior, Kermit's bedroom, night. Probably around 10:30 or 11:00, if you wanna get specific.

Rowlf: Who's in it?

I think it's just Kermit and Fozzie, but I could be wrong.

Rowlf: Well, how about you get ready for bed, and then you can always write a little more before you actually go to sleep.

That sounds like a plan.

Big Bird: What is?
Bry: I guess I am now a "Senior member".
Big Bird: (outside the window looking in)Well, gee. You don't look that old to me. Does he, Snuff?
Snuffy: (also outside the window) Well, no, Bird. In fact, I would say he looks pretty YOUNG.
Bry: No, it doesn't have to do with age.
Rosita: Of course not. It says you are a Senior member. Senior means "sir" in Spanish. Doesn't it, Bryan?
Snuffy: Well, that doesn't seem to make much sense.
Big Bird: Yeah, "Sir Member"? That sounds kinda silly to me.
Bry: Actually, Rosita, in this case it isn't the Spanish pronunciation. Senior is just kind of a status kind of thing. In this case it just means I have been on the MC boards for a while and posting a lot.

Rosita, BB and Snuffy: Oh, well....CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Bry: Thanks but its no big deal.

Snuffy: Why not? What does it mean?
Bry: Nothing, just that I have no life.

Bry: Getting pretty late. Maybe we should go to bed. Snuffy, are you staying for the night?
Big Bird: Actually, I was gonna ask if it would be okay for Snuffy to sleep over tonight.
Bry: Well, you know I wouldn't normally mind, but I don't think there is a whole lot of space in the room here for Snuffy to sleep. Plus, how will he get in. The door is pretty small for him to fit.
Snuffy: He's got a point there, Bird.
Big Bird: Yeah, that could be a problem.
Bry: Ya know what you could do? It's a warm night. Why don't you guys take that big tent I have here in the closet and go camp out in the yard?
Snuffy: That sounds like a gr-eat idea!
Big Bird: Yeah. Good thinking. You're so smart!
Bry: Aww thanks. I don't think Ed would mind, but I will leave him a message just to let him know what's going on so he isn't too surprised to see a huge tent with a Snuffleupagus sleeping in his yard. (Hands them the folded up tent) Have fun, guys! (Seeing Hoots the Owl sitting out on the wall outside the window) Hoots, keep an eye on 'em tonight for me, will ya?
Hoots: You got it, B!
Bry: Well...time for bed. Goodnight, Rosita. (Turns out lights)
Rosita: Buenos noches...SENIOR!
Bry: Oh, brother.
Rosita: Hehehe.

The Count
07-31-2005, 03:55 AM
That's OK Bry... Uh, by "yard", do you mean the outside patio? It's OK you set up the tent so BB and Snuffy can sleep out there. Just make sure everything's put away again in the morning.

Oh, and congratulations. "Senior" member is kind of like a status thing here at MC. When you first join the forums, you start out as a "Junior Member" with 0 posts. Then, after 30 posts, you ascend up to "Member". And at the grand total of 1000 posts, you're elevated to have the title of "Senior Member". Once upon a time, being a Senior Member was truly magical... Cause you got access to the hottubs. Rully miss that place and all the fun we had there. But now, all dorm residents who happen to have become Senior Members not only will get their own dorm robes... But will also get a special second surprise at the celebrations.
Hope this helps and hope everyone's able to sleep well.

Ah ha! So good to finally get you guys lodged here in the dorms.
*Takes key from marble 57. Follow me and I'll show you to your room.

*Passing through two sets of double doors. The stairwell's there in the door to your right between these sets of double doors, but I'd recommend using the method we'll use now to get from floor to floor.
*All enter common room and dumbwaiter elevator hidden inside old world furnace. Yep, this baby's how we move inside the dorms. Oh hey Bo, have a good time at the party for the Senior Boomers!

*Dumbwaiter elevator reaches top or fourth floor and opens up. Here we are in this floor's common room... Notice the red radishes printed on the carpet here, different than the other common rooms.
*All exit common room into hallway. OK, now a turn to our right... And it should be... yes, third door down on our right.
*Hands key to room 57 to Derek. A few things before I leave you guys.
This floor's bathrooms are the last door down on your left in this hallway, the room diagonally across from yours to the right. Your neighbors are:
Luke and Gonzo on your left and FraggleRocks and Piggy on your right, depending from your POV. Philo and Gunge and his roommates are in the room across from yours, and G-Man and Rizzo are in the room diagonally across from yours on your left, again depending on your POV. If you get confused, you can always get a map of the dormhouse at the lobby desk down on the second floor. Not sure how many of these neighbors will still be around at the time of the anniversary, contacted almost all of them and still awaiting replies.

Be sure to post a descript of what you want your room to look like, taking into account the tastes of yourself and your roommate as well. And be sure to contact me with ideas for designs for your own robe and one for your roommate... Wouldn't want you to miss out on the anniversary celebrations.
Hope you have a good time here at the dorms and welcome!

Oh come off it, Gillis. I had to get up to be at work by nine three days in a row. I deserve a chance to sleep past seven o'clock for once.

Gillis: So then how come you get on our cases if Tosh and I sleep past 10?

Because I don't want either of you developing my brother's bad habits. That kid's been known to sleep past one in the afternoon if he's allowed. Now, do you have your sympathy cards for Kathy signed?

Tosh: Mine's finished! *hands it to Kim*

*reads it* That's very nice, Tosh. Signed by both you and Beast, good. How 'bout you, Gillis?

Gillis: Hold on, hold on... *hums to himself while writing something in the card* There. Done. *hands the card to Kim*

Okay, let's see...*reads the card* Very nice, Gillis. I like the part about keeping part of him alive in her memory; you come up with that yourself?

Gillis: Actually I learned that from Wembley, when he taught me a song he loved that helped remind him of a special friend he had lost. That way, he explained, his friend was never completely gone.

I see. Well let's go take these cards and flowers down to Kathy and Prairie's room.

She & her dad were pretty close. The wake is tomorrow & the funeral is on Tuesday.Kathy found out a little while ago that one of her former neighbors (whom she hates and the guy gave Kathy's dad a tough time for a little while)is coming for the wake. Kathy's mom told her to just put up with the guy tomorrow. So Kathy's kinda wondering if you have any spare voodoo dolls hanging around. I told her that that wasn't nice. Hi Prairie... You did well steering Kathy away from borrowing one of my or the Count's voodoo dollies. To tell the truth, we only have the ones from that Scooby-Doo episode. Maybe one of the castle creatures wil be one...
Sorry to drift like that. Tell you what. Kath can have a little talisman if she wants. It can be a medal or a little PVC figurine, maybe one of Garfield or something like that. Some people think that little figurines like those can help guide/guard you in dreams, and I think she might need one to ward off any bad vibes she might get at the proceedings this week. Just let her know she can talk to us if she needs to, and we're here to help her through this tough time.

Tosh: Hey Kim, what're you making?

It's a dream catcher, for Kathy.

Gillis: What's a 'dream catcher'? *looks at it* It looks more like a spider's web to me.

That's what it's supposed to look like. *holds it up for Tosh and Gillis to see* It's an old Native American belief. The Native Americans would hang these above their heads in their sleeping places. And at night, while they were sleeping, when their dreams came the good dreams would slip through the holes and into their minds while the bad dreams would get caught in the web and not make it.

Tosh: Wow. That's a really cool idea. Can we make dream catchers, too?

I don't see why not. But, it'll have to wait until tomorrow. *ties final knot* There. Finished. I'll go deliver this to Kathy, and then we can get to bed.

Hmmm... Maybe what Kathy needs is a kachina doll.
Count: What's that?
Oh... Kachina dolls are these small dolls that represent Native American deities. They represent their gods or immortal heroes and are used as centerpieces in traditional dances to summon that spirit down to Earth. That way the doll collects the spirit and helps the person who performed the dance with whatever ability that god or hero is renound for in their myths and stories.
Count: Ah I understand. All ve had back in Transylwania were our little demon statuettes.
Yes and I hope the Baku's out there chowing down on everybody's bad dreams.

Maybe some other time... Let's get back to sleep, we got a busy day ourselves as well.

Rosita: I'll tell you what, what do you say we make you dinner tonight?
Bry: Are you sure? Do you know how to cook?
Rosita: No problem. Me Abuelo taught me to make some easy and yummy recipes when I stayed with him last summer on his ranch in New Mexico.
Bry: Okay, if you're sure.
Rosita: I'm sure. You just relax. I'll go get Big Bird to assist me.
Bry: Yeah, where is Big Bird? I haven't seen him all afternoon.
Rosita: Oh, he is down in the common room.
Bry: What's he doing in there?
Rosita: Trying to figure out how Oscar can fit an elephant and a swimming pool in his trashcan.

Herry: You don't have to be all pushy you know. *goes on to his bedroom*

UD: Really? That's wonderful! Have you gotten yours yet?

Nope, but I got my penguins yesterday, and then I got the e-mail from OMG telling me that my UD figures were shipping!

UD: Great! I'm so glad I can scare everyone with my action figure!

Me to!

Eduardo: Yeah, and everyone can make a home made cue card for the Penguin figures to hold!

Lew: Well my figure was made way back in series 3!

Hey guys quit fighting! They're just action figures! Sheesh.

The Count

Yep... And my roommate will hopefully have his figure in S2 of the SS lineup.
Must feel great to have your roomies' action figures almost all in hand Ryan. When the Count gets home and helps me open them up, you can come and see 'em if you want.
Oh, and wouldn't you just have the Penguin figure holding Waldorf's score cards? Just an idea.

Lookin' forward to the rest of the figures we got coming!
Oh, and you know I keep a record of the dorms register. Well, one of the tricks I use to help me know who's with whom and in which room is to just keep track of the figures released by Palisades.
For example... The fourth floor East Wing has Luke with Gonzo (so I just think of S5 Gonzo in the space for Room #59), Ernie101 and Sweetums, (S9 special release in the space for Room #57), FraggleRocks and Miss Piggy (think of the figure from S1 but with the heads switched like the one in my display in the space for Room #55) and so on.
Have a great time guys, see you later.

Wow, such a great figure Palisades made of Uncle Deadly. Except for the nose whips not there, it's rully a great figure. Love the little chain across his vest, and the tatters across his coat. The horns and tail and claws make him look just so... spooktacular!
Fright now I got him on one of my shelves, with his left arm in an L-position and palm up holding Yorick. The Ghost's on the floor of the shelf next to UD, the stand's behind the ghost. Not sure which end's supposed to go up since they both fit into the hole on the base.

Frogster and Fragglemuppet, if you could, I'd appreciate it if you took the time to reply at least whether or not you'll be staying... The robes ideas can be sent in later.
Need to talk to Dean Chapman about a couple of holdouts though.

Hair's on DVD? Oooh, that'll make a great gift for my mom for Christmas. And we can watch it together too.
Still trying to get a home run by getting all four million dollar songs on my Classic Rock & Roll channel (424 on Adelphia).

Oh hey, thanks for the cookies Bryan.
You know... If you did some remodeling/reconstruction to your room...
Like make that side door you have actually open up to the outside... Then maybe it'd be big enough for Snuffy to fit through, and he could come and go as he pleases. Just an idea/suggestion, not sure if you'd be interested though.
Might be the opening you were looking for to bring him in as your roomie.

Well, gonna take care of some other things. Have a good afternoon/evening. And party on at the Senior Boom Club!

The ghost's on the rod on the base next to him. Not sure it's necessary though, it seems to stand up just fine without the base.
Oh, and I got an E-mail on Monday saying my Penguins are on their way. Hope they like the hot/humid climate of the tropics... Especially after that Heat Wave number they did with Piggy.

Hey Ry... To answer your questions...
Only got one 2-pack, thought that was all I needed for the Muppets photo project I've been working on with help from my family and forum friends for well over a year now.
Yes, they do look good. My mom and aunt both said they were cute when they saw them still MIB. Opened that sucker up and got 'em out.
Don't think I'll be making a custom cue card for them though. My customizer's currently working on another project.
However... After checking out both Muppet Penguins and their articulated flippers. What I wonder is if anyone out there is daring/willing enough to take one of their Penguins and turn it into... Britney Speares Penguin.

Just a thought, a shot at Luke. Hee, hee.
Well, have a good night you guys.
