WOOHOO!!!! My Club Package Arrived!!!!

Opened my door this afternoon and to my suprise, there was a big ole' box marked "Palisades" on it. I nearly passed out from all the excitement!!! I ripped the sucker open and was NOT disappointed. There's a cool suprise, but i'm not gunna ruin it for anyone who hasn't gotten theirs yet! Ok a hint.... Palisades kicks major @ss! Trust me! Thanx again Palisades, I can't wait to see what this club has to offer in the future.:D

it's Unicron, actually...the pic is from a full-body statue, though thanks to one of the other Transfans in here i have found out that they are once again planning to produce the thing en masse. (they were going to when the movie came out, but decided against it)

there is a UK version of the BotCon convention that i went to last weekend that is coming up soon. if you want i can see if i can track down the info and email it to you so you can go and relive your childhood too. i think it's actually called "Transfan" but don't quote me.

Cool dude - i saw the DVD's in our local mall and they had them playing on a massive plasma screen and i was like totally taken aback. It's been so long - though they are best of's i take it and the only way you can get the full seasons are VCD's.

I was wondering about the special bonus that you are all recieving. Is this something that only certain people are getting due to Ken's involvement with this forum? Unfortunately I was unaware of the club until it was announced on the Palisades website, and then I sent my info on the following Monday. I'm now concerned that I'll be missing out on something. Hi Jeremy,

Welcome to the forum.

The bonus isn't something that certain people here are getting due to Ken's involvment - it's a bonus for the first 500 people to sign up to the Palisades club from whatever source. There are 600 members here but it's very unlikely that absolutely everybody would join the club, so it's likely you might be in with a good chance.

I requested a form that day and sent, w/ a MO, on the following Monday. I'm still hoping that I got it in soon enough, but that is quite a gap. I'm trying to stay positive though.

Just another tidbit of info....If you sent money order or paypal, the only kind of conformation you will get of us receiving it is your membership kit. Do not expect an email conformation. Again, be patient, we are slowly getting them out there.

From what I understand, the surprise is not in print form. I guess the letter inside the membership kit reveals what the surprise is inside the box. That's what people are talking about, reading the letter first.

If Peter is saying that he's shipped 70 kits and has 150 more to go, it sounds like we should all be covered to receive the surprise if they are in fact giving out the surprise to the first 500 members, since Peter only has rec'd 220 membership orders so far.

Where did that "first 500" figure come from anyway? Was it posted somewhere?

It could be that Peter has shipped 70, and has another 150 packed or mostly packed or whatever, and there are still more to be filled next week. I'm not sure if Palisades wants to divulge the club size...

Well even though NONE of you decided to e-mail the suprise after I asked :mad:,it turns out it didn't matter because I GOT MINE TODAY!!!! :D I was rather suprised to receive it so quick, considering I mailed my money order last Wednesday!!

My only complaint was with how the package was handled by UPS. The box was HORRIBLY dented & one of the two vanishing cream beakers I ordered was also in equally busted up shape. I'll see if my cousin wants it, and if not I guess Ken can expect an e-mail.

I just mentioned it because if you do get a replacement beaker, someone's gonna have to pay for it (be it you, or more likely Palisades) and I think if you want to make an insurance claim it has to be the receiver (as opposed to the shipper) that has to do it.

I signed up to join the Palisades club, opting to send my $30.00 payment through www.paypal.com. I got my receit immediately, and hope that Palisades Toys got the payment. All I can do now is wait for confirmation via regular mail, and I'm afraid that Puerto Rico will be the last stop. I'm not too worried though, cause my university courses will start up again soon enough. If anybody knows how I can check out the status of the membership, please drop me a line. I actually got giddy today when MY PACKAGE ARRIVED TODAY! I was so happy and feel very privledged to be one of the first 500 members of the club. Just to let you all know, I took my tracking number on the box and tracked it on UPS.com just to get a sense of when it was sent. My package was sent on August 2nd and it arrived today on the 6th. (4 days...not bad at all.) FYI I live in Massachusetts. I sent my money order in on July 20th if that helps. Hope you all get yours soon!

I know, me too! It's just incredibly frustrating being a UK Muppet fan. Hardly anyone ships to the UK (so no Fossil 25th Anniversary watch, no Electric Mayhem mini lunchbox, no EB Games exclusive, nothing from any of the US conventions) so the fact that the Palisades club is International is very exciting! For now, I don't think when you sent your money in, is a factor in when you get your package back. I sent my money order in on July 8th. I was one of the few who actually got the first E-mail message that Palisades sent out and I sent a MO out the next day. So I had to be one of the first to get an order in, but I just recevied my package today.

I'm sure they are too busy just filling orders to try and sort out who's order came in first.

It's nothing to do with being greedy, just concern. I was the same way. Sent my MO in the day after recieving the e-mail. As I kept hearing about others recieving their packages, I started to worry. Did they recieve my MO? Will they runout before they get to my order? What if they didn't get it, how will I know? I don't think anyone is faulting the job that everyone at Palasadies is doing. They are just concerned.

The person who was sendin out the packages, posted an update a while back. Maybe if we ask nice we can get another update on the packages?

I really can't answer each individual concern about whether you will or won't get a package at any given time. I can say, obviously, that those who paid with Paypal have a quicker shot, cause it is instantaneous and the orders are filled in the order they are received.

Anyone who sent an MO needn't worry about making it in under the 500 Mark. I know who you are and when you got your application.

If you are really worried and absolutely can't wait for an answer, write the club e-mail address. All we will be able to tell you is that your payment was received and whether your box went out or not.

All I ask is that you try to allow the 2-6 weeks we asked for in the original solicitation. We are working as fast as we can on it.

in the past three days, i've watched a relationship of almost seven years evaporate merely because she decided "it was time" no second thoughts, no looking back. it's made me physically ill to the point that i can barely stand up, and i havn't slept in over 48 hours. and through it all, i still have to work because life goes on, and people still expect money from me every month. needless to say, i'm a little on edge. i've been trying to stay positive, and keep this little fact from people, and the only way to do that was to pretend like it didn't happen.

Phew! OK, I'll maybe give it another couple of weeks (allowing for the fact that my MO had to get across the Atlantic and then the parcel has to get back). If nothing's arrived after that I'll send Palisades an e-mail.

Yeah! I got my package yesterday, well of a sorts anyway. The collector's club package hasn't arrived at my home yet, but I did have someone pick up a Muppet Labs for me. I like the overall design, and the pressure chamber is a wonderful landmark of the playset. The Beaker figure also looks great. I'll post again as soon as I get my brown box from Palisades.

I actually thought that Ken had put a 'stop' date on people emailing him to join the collectors club, and those people would be sure to get figures which turned out to be under 500 anyway. Allowing Paypal orders from people who's name wasn't on that original list seems like an almighty mess up that was bound to cause all these problems.

The sensible thing to do would have been to process the original people on that list first, send out their packages with the mystery gift and then open it all up to new members which i thought was the original idea. Processing new people first and letting them jump the queue just because they pay by an instant method seems to be going back on the original deal a bit.

Allowing Paypal orders from people who's name wasn't on that original list seems like an almighty mess up that was bound to cause all these problems.

The sensible thing to do would have been to process the original people on that list first, send out their packages with the mystery gift and then open it all up to new members which i thought was the original idea. Processing new people first and letting them jump the queue just because they pay by an instant method seems to be going back on the original deal a bit.

Although, if less than 500 people joined before the Paypal deal was launched, I see no reason to complain.
Well, that's not true. Due to my past experience with the US Postal Service, I have very little faith in them. A confirmation of receipt of our money orders would have been, as you say, a sensible thing to do.

I don't know why anyone should be upset. Ken already said this earlier in this thread:

I really can't answer each individual concern about whether you will or won't get a package at any given time. I can say, obviously, that those who paid with Paypal have a quicker shot, cause it is instantaneous and the orders are filled in the order they are received.

Anyone who sent an MO needn't worry about making it in under the 500 Mark. I know who you are and when you got your application.

I don't want to put words in his mouth, but his quote says to me that he's made sure that he can and is taking care of the original MO group, ie they've been counted as part of the first 500. He's just filling out the rest of the 500 (however many that may be) and any members past the 500 via Paypal. The Paypal people may have their package sent out before some of the MO people, but they're not replacing them in line.

Well, I got mine today... and it included the bonus item. I was a MO person, sent it in within a couple weeks of the email.

I also live in New Mexico so use that to guage how far the packages have gotten west...

All people from the original solicitation were covered before we made the Paypal option available.

Well thats a relief ! Shame they couldn't have been told that eight pages earlier though - would have saved a lot of confusion.

If I remember correctly, they stated 4-6 weeks from receipt of payment, but it seems that the actual turnaround time is faster than this. From some of the other postings, it looks like it's taken close to a month for some of the original MO group to get their package. I placed my order on Aug. 1st, so I won't fret for at least another 2 weeks.

Nope! According to Ken they were only sent out at the beginning of the week and I think that they'll take at least a week to get over to the UK. So not long to go now!
