I'm gonna short out my keyboard with all the drool. I don't understand how these toys can get talked up so much, and then still exceed expectations. Simply beautiful and amazing. That kitchen is pure art.

The pics of series 3 are simply amazing! The Kitchen set is so cool as well as the rest of the figures!!!!!

Quick question: Will there be any more muppets released in Tuxedos? I was wondering cause if that is the case I will have to start collecting them now that Tuxedo Rowlf is in the regular assorment. :)

Ken, I'm stunned. I can't believe I'll have to wait until 2003 for these. Beautiful Baby, just Beautiful.

OK well here's what i think of em. It's the truth how i see it from my own personal fanboy point of view, i have no need to talk up Palisades - i want to give props where they are truly deserved :-

Scooter :- WOW - Absolutely gorgeous. You can actually see the texture on his face that looks like puppet fur. One quibble, theres's something about the little patch of hair that doesn't look exactly right - a little too rough perhaps but it's alomost there. Overall the likeness is superb. The jacket deserves a special mention just as the face did - it is top notch. Perfect job.

Zoot :- The sax is wonderful. I have mixed feelings about the scuplt. I think his facial features are good, they do look very 'muppety' lifelike, but his trousers clash with his skin color and the top isn't that great too. Very dingy looking, though to an extent thats how he's meant to be - very dark, moody and hippy - but he needs to be brought out more as a character that people would be drawn too seeing the figure in a package.

Swedish Chef :- Beyond perfection. All the detail is there, the scuplts great, the clothes are superb, the facial features are 120% correct - he actually looks like a Muppet which is excellent. The flesh tone is totally correct - i don't think a better job could have been done on this figure. The moustache and apron detail is wicked, the shirt design is above excellent - one little thing, maybe he has just a tiny weeny bit too much of a paunch, i was expecting something similar, but he looks pregnant. Anyway bang up Job Ken and all those involved - home run all the way !

Rowlf :- Not majorly impressed. The head is perfect, but the rest is average. There should be more detail on the tux, specifically the shirt (maybe a black bow-tie ?). I think all the black and lack of detail make his slouch look about ten times worse (although the positioning in the photo isn't flattering) and the jacket looks too shiny compared to the trousers.

Lew Zealand :- OK, people are really going to hate me for this and probably disagree with me. I think this is the worst Muppet action figure to be released yet on a parallel with Regular Piggy. The detail on the face is awful - it looks like someones made him out of sculpey and put him in the oven. The detail on the hair is very rough, and the mouth is very rough looking also, but maybe the prototype just got a bad paint job. The frilly collar is great, and the colors on the body and clothing look right, but overall the figure is very bland compared to the others. It could be because the photo has been blown up to a large size, but to me, that isn't Lew Zealand.

Chef's Kitchen :- Theres nothing you can say about this Kitchen other than it being ultimate perfection. All the detail is there, and theres so much of it. Just looking at the phone, clear cabinets, stove, clock/radio thing - all makes you drool. The color is perfect and very vibrant. There's nothing more you could want because it's all there ! *Applause*

I'm not particularly impressed that the bases are being done away with. I can understand the reasoning but i hope they will be available to buy as optional extras. The bases kinda made the figures something special - display pieces, wheras without them it's like having a Simpsons figure just plonked on your desk in some pose.

Anyway thats how i see it - the majority i was overwhelmingly impressed by. Seeing as they are prototypes i hope this is seen as constructive. The one's i will buy will be the Chef Playset and Scooter.

I just finished looking through all of these, and they are freakin' awesome!!

Tux Rowlf: Love the tux. I hope we get more "formal" figures. It would make a nice subset. The Beethoven bust is a nice touch. Can't wait to find out what you have planned for the regular figure.

Scooter: Great job on the satin jacket. I like the line up of accessories as well. A swivel handle on the take out box. There's some detail!

Lew Zealand: A minnow bucket! Perfect!

Zoot: Both look great! Was the yellow version the one seen originally? I prefer the white glasses to the black ones. Better definition.

Swedish Chef: It is exactly the way I imagined. The hands look humany enough. Love the plaid pants. (How about a variant with flour hand prints? ;) )

Swedish Kitchen:  This is the most incredibly detailed playset I think I've ever seen! (That includes the Mezco Control Cabin Nemo) All the accessories are great! Lots of play options. I can see why this needed a higher price point.

This is my favorite wave so far. Every figure is a winner. Must... have...

These are amazing...MAN my boy better not be in a hurry to get to college...of course, he's only three months old, but still.

What I love about these are the details:

Rowlf: the texturing variations and positions of his hands--his hands aren't QUITE textured the same way as his arms and ears, and they reflected that in the figure. I'm still going to prefer the regular Rowlf to this one, but I'll buy at LEAST one of these puppies!

Scooter: his jacket--they've captured the look of his "satiny" jacket perfectly with that paint app, and that alone puts him above and beyond any of the other Scooters in my collection. Never my favorite character, but this is a sweet rendition of him.

Lew Zealand: this MAY be my favorite of the group, just because who thought they would EVER see a Lew Zealand toy of ANY kind??? I'm so glad Palisades is incorporating fan faves like this into each wave--even if I had heard about a line-up of 20 Muppet Show figures, I never would have guessed that Lew would be in it...until Palisades came along. The fish assortment sounds great, and I completely forgot what the bottom half of him looked like!

Zoot: the sax looks sweet, and I LOVE the Sandals/Pants combo he's got going there. Just as a member of Electric Mayhem, this is a beautiful work of art--as a toy, he looks very Playable.

Chef & Kitchen: I had almost talked myself out of this one due to the higher price point--who did I think I was kidding? All of Ken's details push this way over the top--all of the separate little pieces? Are you @#!$#$ing kidding me? I had heard about it from Ken's messages, but seeing it in person--this is a kitchen that 1) is much nicer than my kitchen, and 2) is just WAITING for the chaos that a certain Scandinavian can bring into it.

The short version of this post: AMAZING.

What is the price point likely to be on the Kitchen playset ? I hadn't read about that.

Suggested retail for Muppet Labs is $24.99, but street costs are around $20.99-$22.99. According to Ken, suggested retail for the Kitchen is $29.99, but street prices will likely be around $24.99-$27.99.

Thanks Phillip ! Thats not too bad at all - more than reasonable in fact. When i heard the price increase mentioned i was imagining something dramatic that would put it out of my range. *Phew* !

Okay, WHO'S BEEN SMOKING AROUND THE PROTOTYPES AGAIN?!?!?!? ;)

I printed off a picture of the painted kitchen prototype to give to my comic retailer to help him drum up customers for preorders, and I noticed the pack of Marlboro's in the left hand corner. The Swedish Chef would never approve. No ashes in the food please.

Man, the entire wave looks great. I particularly like the fact that you guys have the attention to details, like the satiny finish on Scooter's jacket. And the kitchen looks even better than I could have imagined even with Ken's complimentary description. Kudos to Palisades. :)

LOL - Just saw that. I think the Swedish Chef may well have a little habit he needs to tell us about - what a scandal ! I laughed my butt off where underneath the pic it says "Unapproved Painted Prototype - Subject To Revisions" - i'd say thats about right, the Henson people probably know he smokes a different brand ! ;-)

Once again, a job well done by Palisades! I love each & every one of 'em!! And that kitchen! WOW!!!!

My only nitpick is Zoot's face. It's very close, but not as perfect as the others. I don't know if it's his big glasses, or the hair sculpt, but it's just off a bit. Plus he looks a little... constipated?? But the clothing & body & sax all look good.

I was also kinda bummed to read there will be no more Muppet logo bases. Hopefully they'll stand up jut as well without them...

What kind of changes are you looking to make on these guys (being prototypes and all) I remeber when we first saw Series 1 and 2 you walked us thorugh the "don't look at this, don't look at tht and that's going to be redone" aspects of the figs. What are you thinking for these guys??

The look pretty good though. Some of them lack the life though that the serie 1 and 2 character have. Mainly Scooter. He seems very vacant to me. not just all there. Maybe he looks better in 3/4 view. I just noticed that part of it is he looks flat in the 2D pic.

Zoot..I've been trying to figure out what's not right with his face. At frist I though tt he glasses but they seem right. there's something weird where his hair meets his head. I dunno. For soem reason the repain sculpt diesn't bug me as much. Also, are you sure you want to to add a music stand with him? Dr. teeth and Floyd made fun of Don Knotss for using sheet music. Also it strikes me that Zoot's specialty is improv jazz (at least that's how I've always viewed him) Zoot wouldn't need sheet music. Oh well, I either won't play with it or pass it off to another fig ot play with. Maybe I'll give it to Rowlf.

Lew and Chef look good. They have the life that Series 1 and2 are imbued with. Although their colors seem off, is that just because of the pics? Lew looks pale, Chef looks a little dark. Actually Lew looks a little seasick. I always thought of him as having a richer gold or orange coloring.

Playset is wild!!! You guys have outdone yourself on that one. And worth the higher price for it. Thank you Mike Horn for for not tryin to cut back!!!

hope you don't find me too nitpicky here. As you know this is the series I want most!!!

Ken, Mike, and everyone else at Palisades-- Great Job!! :D

That kitchen is unbelievable! So much detail. Love the radio and the phone. The row of 'glass' plates Chef can hurl food at -- wonderful! All that food to throw, the saw and fire extinguisher. And we haven't even seen the Lobster Banditos yet. Can't believe I'm gunna get all of that for under $30. Amazing job.

Figures look great, as usual. Love the frills on the end of Lew's collar. Can't wait to get a hold of Rowlf and check out that ear articulation!

Just when I think I've got a handle on how impressive this line is, you raise the standard. Keep it up!

Rowlf - i'm a bit confused, and would love to hear what led up to this decision, but by and large, i'm not complaining. i do have a couple of questions, though. first off, is it my imagination, or does Rowlf look thiner in the tux than his regular figure did. also, what is up with his hands? it may just be the angle, but his hands just don't look right. i do like the white bow-tie, and think it's a nice touch for a concert pianist (ah, the jokes...), and over all...well, he's no Heifitz, but he'll get bought.

Scooter - I like him, i really do...but something about him kinda bugs me. i think i just always pictured him with his knees bent (running about behaviour...er, oops). i think than once i see this figure in person, all that wil go away, as other than that he really does look good.

Lew - I dunno, i just can't get a hindle on him. i LIKE the ringmaster type outfit, but like with Scooter, there's something that i just can't quite put my finger on. still, he (also like Scooter) will probably look quite a bit better in person when i can get a better angle and see the "bucket 'o' fish"

Zoot - From the neck down, i REALLY like this figure. his head could use some more work, though. you can almost tell the difference in the pieces that make up the face and hair. it's kinda hard to explain, but it gives off a very off-putting vibe.

Chef and the Kitchen - what can i say...it's perfect

   !!!

My most anticipated series is everything I hoped it would be and so much more! That kitchen playset!!

I wasn't going to wish my life away hoping 2003 would hurry up and get here, but when I look at series 3, I could almost burst. And they're only toys!

Rowlf: I love him head to toe! He's one of my favorites right up there with Vacation Fozzie. At first I thought the whites of his eyes might have been a little too deep, broad, wide or elongated and turned down too much, as well as his nose being too round & not oval enough. But it is Rowlf! I also can't wait to start flopping his ears around! He looks great, his hands look great. Love the tux too! I was happy to see the tux version because I wasn't sure about how bottom heavy the other one was. On a scale of 1 to 10, Rowlf gets an 11+!

Scooter: His jacket looks perfect. But something about his face like others have mentioned. His "magic triangle" is off. He almost has a magic square. I think his eyes are too wide or too far apart. He could also use more of a neck. I think that might help. His jeans look like real denim! His shirt should be more of a true yellow than neon yellow. He's probably my least favorite of this series. Scale of 1-10, Scooter gets a 7.

Lew Zealand: I'm lovin' Lew! Who would have thought we would have ever seen Lew Zealand?! He's perfect from head to toe. Bump up his hue and make him as orange as Scooter and he'll get a 11+ from me too. VERY nice idea with the bucket! 10 for Lew!

Zoot: Zoot is another I'm looking forward to the most. I have no complaints with him! I like his bellbottom pants. They don't clash with him. His pants match his hair. Hats off to him. (I want to see him with his hat off). Don't know what could possibly be changed or done to make him any better. Perfect! 11+.

Zoot repaint: I like the color and how it makes his nose look slightly more greenish. While I favor the yellow-shirt one more, I'm going to get both Zoots! 10+!

Swedish Chef: He originally wasn't one of the ones I was most excited for, but he's fantastic too, that's all there is to it. Very excited for the Chef and his kitchen playset! As someone else mentioned his eyebrows and moustache may be a little too dark. But aside from that, his color scheme is flawless. Like Rowlf, he looks SO Muppety! 11+ for the Chef too.

Swedish Chef kitchen playset: I'm blown away by the details on this. Ken kept telling us this kitchen was hot, but little did we know! I LOVE the colors. So I hope that it all gets approved, so I can "Play With It"!

:D :D :D

Anyone who saw the latest Austin Powers movie (or the comercials for that matter) will undrestand what I mean when I say "Ubaaaa!!" (said by Dr. Evil in response to the mole). I'm amazed, I'm speachless, I'm blown away, and more by these pictures. Like most, I'm most impressed and in awe of Swedish Chef and Playset, I mean... words can't describe this thing of beauty... Here's my two sense on everything:

Rowlf- Beautiful Head, Beautiful Pants, but I just feel like the white bowtie looks cheap, I felt the same way for Kermit, it's grown on me with him, maybe it'll grow on me with Rowlf.

Scooter- Perfection, to me, except the glasses of course, but those are being taken care of, otherwise, perfection.

Lew Zeland- In the words of my mother "who's that", this is how I think the public will respond to Lew, Crazy Harry too. I on the otherhand love him... I think he's fine the way he is, agree with some of the coloring suggestions, but all in all am happy with the current version.

Zoot- Love the sax, think the music stand without music idea is really funny, don't mind at all... Do think he's a little too thin, but I don't really care, happy either way, and if this increases playability then I'm all for it.

Chef and playset- You know my feelings on this, like most, I think this belongs in the Met, rather than my house... It's a work of art, and I love the folks at Palisades for making it what it is. Can't wait to see Lobster Bandito's. But once again, props to all at Palisades for this one, best material thing ever! *standing ovation*

Sorry, but I can't say I'm all that impressed. The figures just look odd to me compared to Series 1 & 2. They just don't look as good, like something is wrong. Especially Rowlf. I sure hope the final version is better, and whether this is perverted or not, I am majorly disappointed that he's not nekkid.

So I give this Series a 7. Seems average at the moment, but I bet it will be at least somewhat approved upon.

The only one I can't complain about is Zoot. I know a lot of u aren't crazy about him, but I can't find too much wrong with him. And I just love the shirt and bellbottoms and sandals and shades. He looks like such a hippie/stoner. It's not exactly how I picture Zoot, but it's kool none the less.

And I have to admit, the Kitchen playset, SUPER CRES AT BEST! The kitchen to me seems like a universal playset that you could play with ANY figure in and it wouldn't seem strange. Absolutely love it.

I was late for work today because I wanted so badly to take the time to see these pics. After seeing the first couple of kitchen pics, I didn't care that I was late for work.

Not only that, but I had a particularly bad heartbreak episode a few days ago- I had no appetite, I seemed to walk around in a state of shock, and I had no desires, no enthusiasm for anything. You made me register mucho enthusiasm Ken. A thousand times thank you.

Some quibbles:

Rowlf: his face looks too light

Scooter: something about the head; maybe it's the angle, but the head looks too big for the body and the glasses/eyes look too big for the head

Lew Zealand: perhpas my favorite figure of the bunch, though he looks quite pale. I'm glad the sculpt looked better than the old packaging picture

Zoot: he looks really 'droopy'. It could be the glasses, the white ones anyway. They seem to slant downward. The black ones look better, maybe they should be switched.

Swedish Chef: looks great, skin tone is perfect but hair and nose seem a little dark (could just be the photo)

Kitchen: I couldn't shut up to my co-worker Rob about how awesome it was. And the extras you added in that were never even in the show- wrench, fire extinguisher, jumper cables (Rob and I both got a laugh out of that) were just so right. It looks too good to be true, don't change a thing. Not a thing. Any chance of seeing a repaint with his semi-trademark blunderbuss?

And that's all I have to say about that for the moment.

I went over to the site to see the pictures with someone helping describe them to me. I still haven't seen the Kitchen playset, because it's so cumbersome, but I agree with the general feelings from everyone else. Since everybody else has already commented on the small problems from this series, I won't throw my two cents in. Besides, the guys over at Palisades said they were already working on Scooter's glasses and Lew's skin tone. Hey, Ken, I do have a question or two though:
1 When I saw the pictures, they only went down to the ankles and didn't include the feet. I know you're not mutilating these figures, cause I have three from Series 1. Is there a problem with the pictures themselves?
2 The only accessory I saw in the pics was Zoot's saxophone. Are the other figures accessories ready or not? Shouldn't they be included in the pictures as well?
If there's any way we can get in touch with each other so that I can get full pictures of all the figures, that would be great.

Have a great summer, The Count.

i don't know what pictures you've been looking at, but ALL of the pictures on Palisades site have feet. try loading them again.

as for the accessories, Ken said the sax was just a mock-up, and not the accessory they're actually going to use. they wanted to wait on showing us all the accessories, though...gotta save a couple of things for later, you know?

you know what. Henons must be smoking something causeit occured to me this morning, Lew is one of the few Mupets I've seen up close and he was a little pale but not yellow: it was a slightly pale orange. Amost mpore of a dark gold I mean not as rich as Socoter (another one of the few I've seen up close) but not as pale as he is and I was uner pretty bad lighting when I saw it. I can unsertsnd the whole thing with Bunsen and lighting and whatnt and yeah this is true with Lew too, but definitly NOT to that extent. I hope ken can convince them to do a more orangey figure. I mean one thing Henson has to rememebr is that while the Muppets may change colors in certai lights, we don't all have giant spotlights in our house. So what we see on the screen is how we best know them. That's what you have to match.

Also different surfaces hold color differently. Matching a felt shade to a plastic shade can't be easy. Still, they should compare the figure to screen shots, not just the actual Muppet.

Matt,

You want some real fun, you should try putting your Muppet figures under a black light if you haven't already. Talk about changing colors and interesting lighting! Dr. Teeth changes color the most. His hair & beard glow! His vest too.

i must be the last to see these and they are great but simalr sugestions,

frist off Rowlf...i would kinda like a better explanation on why the reg Rowlf is not being relased then, if not then? when? i mean the tux was a EX fig in the first place like the kermit one, but rowlf isn't coming with a top hat. kinda wish the figs would still have stands too but whatch gonna do? i kinda think rowlfs eyes are too crossed and are looking up too much. i wish they would reconsider have him as and Ex and have the reg rowlf first.

scooter magnifacent! that's all i'll say!

lew, he is kinda pale, i thought he was coming with eels too?

zoot is nice but may need a little work like lew

chef and the playset are out of this world they are on planet koosbane!!!!

Zack)Rowlf the, i was thinking that rowlf wouldn't be wearing shoes, but they are nice,Dog.

Hey Zack,

Great suggestions. They've moved Regular Rowlf back because a) they have something good planned for him, and also want to research a new way of articulating him. b) to keep some of the more desirable 'big guns' back so that there is a greater chance of the figure line being strong enough to last for the future, in the same way we are seeing Gonzo in the cape, but not in the Tux or Jumper until later.

I agree that it's a disapointment because everyone was looking forward to the regular figure, but if it means Kozzebanes and Pigs In Space in the future then it's likely worth it.

Thanks Luke, yes i read that in the ask Ken post and am more relived now, but i'm going to speek my mind on it cause it's my favorite dog and well, cause i can;-)but even though i'm about to give my complants i'm honored that Ken plans to give Rowlf specail treatment and i hope he's able to stick to that plan. i was even thinking it would be cool for rowlf's mouth to open and close!

i just wish it was Scooter getting the ax and not Rowlf. but you couldn't really have a super hero scooter as part of the regs unless they made a tux scooter now which would be unlikey.

not that i don't like Scooter, i think he's the best looking one in that series, i just said that because he's the only one who "was "going to have an EX fig in series 3 before the change.

of corse i love the whole reg Rowlf the best after seeing him but i just hope he comes out more sooner then later.

i would say forget that rat in "what is it now series 4??!?!"(as i just read) poor janice!

it's not like us muppet fans wll stop buying them and other people are just gobbling them up as well, why not stick to the orignal plan, are people who noticed rowlf the dog in a tux going to think"oh reg rowlf must be coming out later) they could think"oh the reg Rowlf must be all sold out" .
or not even think of it at all, the only larger amout of people who will know are the muppet fans and most of us plan on getting both anyways so why not the reg first?

with gonzo it's diffrent, he is a daredevil and shoots him self out of cannons all the time, not that rowlf can't look classy all the time but can't he look classic first?

i would rather have Sam pushed back then janice, but i would like it better the way it was first planed "they always say go with your frist choice " lets just say i would rather be safe then sorry, sure the line could go longer this way but it also couldn't ya never know, but if sam and janice and reg rowlf got cut out then...huh?what happend? also i think statler and waldorf should be movied up before bo and the news man. i know more cool stuff could come out but IF it doesn't then your line is janice-less...

Zack)Rowlf the, does Bryon like the sound of that?Do YOU like the sound of that? I know i don't like the sound of that!Dog.

I don't think Ken has officially said anything of bumping Janice. He knows we all want our groovy chick asap. I know this information was listed on the latest figure update on MC, but until I hear confirmation from Palisades it's best not to worry about it. I personally wish whe had come in series 2 but I'm sure we'll see her next year.

Well i figuered that the MC list was offical from Palisades but "always" could change, and very well will change but i'm sure rizzo wasn't put there out of thin air, someone had to say it.

I just wanted to say series 1 is awesome and series 2 is even better. But now series 3 came along and then the standard Rowlf is not in it. That was the figure I was waiting for in this series. I mean will still buy the tuxedo Rowlf but c'mon Palisades you are going to make us wait until 2004 to buy that standard Rowlf. That is just not fair. They should just release the original Rowlf in this series with the tuxedo Rowlf to be release as an exclusive figure.

Scooter is allright, he could have been better.

Zoot, Lew Zealand, and The Swedish Chef are very well made.

All in all, it could have been the best series, but not having that standard Rowlf threw me off.

Thanks.

The more I see of these figurines, the more I want to rush out and buy them!

But I'll just have to wait until I get a job and have some money flowing in until I start sending all that money out on these.

The Kitchen playset with Swedish Chef is going to be spectacular. It has more stuff in it than my kitchen. I will miss the stands, but as long as they can stand on their own I will be happy. I would be a little worried about zoot standing on his own. I can't wait for these to hit stores. Wait, I can't wait for series two to hit stores.

Hey all! this thread convinced me to join. Great forum!

Anyways, what's this about Janice?!?! I need her! She was hilarious in The Great Muppet Caper..."...And I said look mother, it's my life ooo-kay? So if I want to live on a beach and walk around naked-"
I think we'll see her, how could this line fail? I personally love the variations...yes that's right. The more figures the better, for me. Great job Ken and everyone at Palisades! I especially like the "it's evolution, baby..."features on the site. Long live the Muppets!

Welcome to the forum! Janice shouldn't be too far off. She won't be in wave four but I don't think Ken will make us wait too long or he will suffer the wrath of Byron (our resident Janice enthusiast).

Wow - they are the greatest Photos yet. Apparently my mum (who's a near 50 year old record company and management exec) is so impressed she wants me to buy her a Kitchen playset for christmas so that she can have it as a display piece in her own Kitchen. Knowing her and her cooking skills i'll probably be able to post pictures of a burnt down, totally trashed out playset by the New Year and we'll have 'Emergency Room Patient' Sweedish Chef variant to go alongside Dr Bob and Nurse Janice. :D

Wow, that's one truly amazing playset Ken. Gotta be the most detailed set I've ever seen. The woodgrain, the brick backsplash, the cobble oven. It's beautiful. That's the first time I noticed the phone. I hope the production pieces all look this good.

Something about the arrangement of Rowlf's face strikes me as not quite right. His eyes look too soft, his head rather wide. Also, on top of his head he just has a tuft of darker fur instead of the amount he usually has. I would say make the face a little smaller, because it looks a bit big and a bit wide for his head.

Dang, I'm starting to have more qualms with Series 3 but at the same time I'm a little squeamish about voicing them 'cause I hate to be criticizing rather than nice/supportive. I think that Series 3 has more bugs to be worked out before they look enough like the real thing to sell, the Swedish Chef and Lew Zealand excepted.

You should most certainly express your views on the figures. Yes, we all come from different perspectives and remember the characters in our own special way, but each of us is equally valid in our perceptions. I think the gathering of that information is a big part of Palisades' involvement on the board. I also hope no one is letting the rave reviews in my editorial keep you from posting your ideas if that is occurring.

It's not just you Jamie, it's just the general vibe people get from the whole site and forum i guess. It is though possible for people to be polite, and even nice and supportive while still being honest about what they think. If it wasn't for constructive feedback and fan suggestions Piggy would still be having a bad hair day, Scooter's eyes would be too close together, and invisible spray Fozzie really would have been invisible (as in non-existant), so i'm sure this is what Ken wants - otherwise he might as well be at a Smurfs forum.

'Kermits Swamp Years' news has meant the main site seems a little more balanced, and if the magic wand can be waved and the figures get treated editorially exactly the same as anything else is it should mean the promotion of the figure line will look more independant and fan influenced, rather than the strong connection with Palisades adding that aftertaste of 'bias'. It would be really cool to see the reviews being done by multiple fans when it comes to wave 2 being released rather than someone being 'chosen' - especially as this product above anything else is the one that everybody has !

I get ya. My editorial was merely an opinion on the new information about and transitional state of the prototypes and not a real figure review. It actually began as a blurb about the evolution of Scooter and grew as more images became available.

I tend to stick with the graphics department. I have my hands full - believe me. LOL! However, I would like to get a couple more articles under my belt in time and maybe an actual figure critique - as long as there are more opinions to balance it. Although I feel that many of them may be very similar. There are a few minority voices that deserve to be heard.

Hey Jamie,

Sorry for the confusion, yeah i had ya down as an article and not a review - i was just talking generally about how i hoped it would pan out in the future. I should probably have made that clearer.

Cool. Wasn't just you, I think some others may have felt it was a full-fleged review, but it really wasn't intended to be that way.

Those are awesome! The detail on Scooter just blew me away. Haven't bought any of the Palisades figures yet, because I was waiting for Scooter!

My only regret about Zoot is that the figures won't be out in time for my little brother's birthday, or heck even Christmas. He plays the saxaphone in the high school band (and he is flippin' awesome at it, lemme tell ya), and he thinks Zoot is cool. That would be the perfect gift for the kid.
