I guess it's Elmo that put me off, but i never watched it past about four episodes, although Big Bird and Oscar did amuse me once (oo'er).

BTW Nate - hasn't Phil had enough applause yet ? Can't we have some for the poor little ol' orphan Penguins ? :D

I dunno - it was always on early in the morning here, and i was into the Transformers and Roland Rat (UK Puppet). If the classic years were anything before the mid eighties then i was too young anyway.

Nowdays, even two seconds of Elmo and i need asparin - when he's on TV with Rosie O' donnel i need resusitation !

I shall have to look more into this classic sesame deal - i do like some of the characters, (Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, Oscar, Count, Grover, Cookie) but its just the whole show that somehow turned me off. I'll look at some videos pre-Elmo's takeover.

Y'know i've just thought, maybe Elmo was a spy for EMTV all along ! :rolleyes:

I love Rosie, always have, always will. She's my Mokey and Janice (but not in that sick twisted way like Byron). She is just my favorite! Bad taste it may be, but I love her!

Just thought I'd say that I like Rosie, but not in that sick, twisted way like Nate. ;)

I used to turn on her show just to watch the monologue even if I didn't care about her guests, cause they were always funny.

Weekends and whenever they call me in. Normally I'm the afternoon dude, even when I fill in. 5-9 on Saturday, and 2-7 on Sundays. Not to bite the hand that feeds me, but it's not my pick of a station to work for. I'm underappreciated and used, but it's resume material none the less. I just miss doing mornings and production, my first two loves. sigh

She really served as a great role model for me in broadcasting and life. I never want to be the shock jock, just the king of nice on the airwaves, with a little twisted humor and double entondras thrown in for fun!

I will someday be king of all media: film, tv, radio, theatre, and print!
